Kanye West’s Treasurer Resigns From Political Campaign

Kanye West’s political team is experiencing even more shake-ups. On Monday morning, his campaign committee treasurer, Patrick Krason, announced his resignation. Krason made the decision official in a letter filed to the Federal Election Commission.

“I have notified the campaign of my resignation and they have been made aware of the requirement to name a new treasurer within 10 days,” Krason said in his letter, obtained by TMZ. “I have also made them aware that they cannot raise or spend campaign funds until a new treasurer has been named. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.”

Krason’s resignation comes days after Ye fired right-wing pundit and white nationalist Nick Fuentes. In doing so, West also re-hired Milo Yiannopoulos to the team. TMZ also obtained an email Yiannopoulos sent to Fuentes confirming his termination. “As you may know, I have been in Los Angeles for the past week with Ye. discussing his presidential aspirations,” Yiannopoulos began. “The result of those discussions is that I will be taking the reins once again as director of his political operations. Your services on Ye’s exploratory team are terminated as of this letter, and will not be required for any possible future campaign. But I am writing to inform you that you may, if you choose, offer yourself to Ye as a remote unpaid advisor. This private and confidential position may not be made public.”

It was previously reported that Ye pulled out of the 2024 presidential race altogether. According to Rolling Stone, West was unhappy with infighting among the advisors during his campaign. In recent weeks, Kanye has spent time co-parenting his four children with his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. He further attended his son Saint’s latest soccer game in Tarzana over the weekend.

Kanye West Not Running For President

Kanye West is reportedly no longer running for President of the United States in the 2024 election, according to the Daily Beast. According to this report, the Chicago rapper will instead focus on his family and his private Christian school Donda Academy. Moreover, this news came specifically from Adam Camacho, a documentary producer that Kanye hired in November of last year. He spoke of originally joining his team to make a movie for Ye, but also said that communication with the rapper fizzled out after a contract extension. However, once Camacho reached out to him again, he reportedly told him of another direction

“Right now, I am living my life,” Kanye West allegedly told Camacho, based on the latter’s conversation with the Beast. “Like I’m concentrating on the school, The Donda Academy, and my new wife, and my kids, and that’s it. I just want to be left alone.” Another anonymous employee of the Yeezy boss backed up these claims. “His interests are focused on his children, family, and creative endeavors… Anyone that is representing Ye in any political capacity is a charlatan. There is no political shop.

Unfortunately for Kanye West, his focus on Donda Academy is not as benevolent or unprompted as it may seem. Recently, two former teachers sued the 45-year-old for a slew of policies, including allegedly forcing kids to eat sushi every day and not allowing outside food. However, the charges also brought up much more serious charges, such as racial discrimination in hiring staff and wrongful termination.

“Ye West, I am so thankful for the opportunity to be at your school,” teacher Cecilia Hailey, one of the plaintiffs, expressed. “But things are not going the way they should, academically, socially or spiritually,” Hailey stated. “And you need to back down and try again with people who know what they’re doing, who can execute a vision, who can help you understand that we don’t know anything about producing albums, but we know how to educate. These children’s lives are in your hands and this vision, especially if you’re trying to carry out the vision of your mother, is just not working right now.” Even though he won’t run for President, the “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” artist still has a lot on his plate to make up for after a few months of intense controversy. SZA Expresses Gratitude For Steamy SKIMS Campaign Appearance

SZA’s recent appearance in a SKIMS campaign stunned many, and she recently took to Instagram to talk about it. Moreover, the “Kill Bill” star modeled in underwear, lingerie, and a full bodysuit for the Kim Kardashian-co-founded inclusive clothing brand. In the caption to her Instagram post commemorating the occasion, she expressed thanks for the opportunity and gave a brief but effective cosign of the product. “Feelin fine and comfy in my @SKIMS,” the TDE signee and record-breaking singer wrote in her caption. “Grateful to be included in their new campaign wearing Fits Everybody,” and she added a winky face emoji and a white heart.

Furthermore, following the massive success of her highly anticipated album SOS, the 33-year-old’s been very busy. For example, there’s her incredibly lucrative and well-received tour, which recently made some stops across the Pacific Northwest. In addition, she also often makes sure to show some love when she’s watching other people model their brand deals. That’s exactly what she did when she thirsted over Cardi B’s pictures in her McDonald’s merch line, writing “Ur so bad it’s INSANE.”

Also, apparently the “Gone Girl” songwriter might just switch things up stylistically for her next musical move. Of course, she could drop ten more Ctrl‘s and five more SOS‘s and the world would likely be a better place for it. Still, Top Dawg Entertainment president Punch’s assessment that she has enough rap records for an EP is quite exciting. Especially after such a long time absent from the game, hearing her switch up her style is a freeing emotion that she hopefully shares.

“SZA is a force,” the California executive continued. “To go seven consecutive weeks at No. 1 is legendary. She’s a true generational artist, a cultural reset, if you will. For her album S.O.S to blend so many different genres together in a cohesive frame shows her genius and versatility. Then you have the voice, the words, the pain, the growth, the relapsing, the delivery, the stories, etc… a true masterpiece.” Check out SZA’s SKIMS campaign above and stick around on HNHH for the latest news on the incredible artist.

Balenciaga Artistic Director Speaks Out On Child Ad Controversy

In November of last year, Balenciaga found itself under fire after not one, but two offensive ad campaigns. First, it was the Gift Shop campaign that featured photos of children with inappropriate paraphernalia. Using toddlers as models, this series of advertisements captured images of the children holding bears seemingly dressed with BDSM gear. The background took place in a home setting and was scattered with a variety of items, including inappropriate props like wine glasses.

But, this poorly thought-through campaign wasn’t the only tasteless mistake made by Balenciaga. Only 5 days after the Gift Shop photos were released, Balenciaga also dropped their 2023 Garde-Robe ads. For this campaign, the brand opted for models Nicole Kidman and Bella Hadid. However, they still stirred up trouble. A photo of a Balenciaga x Adidas handbag sitting on a desk turned sour as soon as social media viewers recognized the paperwork that was sitting underneath. One was a copy of the 2008 Supreme Court ruling on US v. Williams, which banned the promotion of child pornography. In addition, the brand placed a book by Michaël Borremans on the desk. Borremans’ work is known to depict seemingly playful scenes of toddlers with a dark and violent twist.

Balenciaga Apologizes for “Unsettling” Mistakes

Evidently, both of these Balenciaga campaigns overtly shed light on a disturbing subject. While the fashion house has been known to spark debates over design choices (such as their crocs with heels), the undertones of these two advertisement concepts didn’t sit well with the internet. The brand eventually removed all images from the campaigns and released public apologies for the controversy.

In a recent interview with Vogue, Balenciaga’s artistic director Demna Gvasalia explained these “unintentional” mistakes. “Despite what many people may have suspected … never, ever would I have an idea to mess around with such an awful and horrible thing,” Demna says. His influence on the initial Gift Shop campaign was intended to be an homage to the “punk and DIY” cultures. As for the following handbag photo, Demna insists that all paperwork was supposed to be fake, and was received from a prop box. In an attempt to make up for their negligence, Balenciaga is actively working with the Kering Foundation and National Children’s Alliance.
