Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker Host Drum-Themed Gender Reveal

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker Host Drum Themed Gender Reveal

Less than a week after announcing that they were expecting a baby together, husband and wife Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian shared a short clip of their gender reveal on Instagram….and they’re having a boy!

In the clip, Kardashian is sitting on the Blink 182 drummer’s lap as they engage with the crowd a bit before Travis launches into a short drum solo. As he dramatically hits a cymbal, blue confetti rains down from the sky announcing the couple’s baby’s gender.

The couple’s baby will be their first child together. Kardashian is already a mother to Mason, 13, Penelope, 10, and Reign, 8 (the father of all three is believed to be Scott Disick). Barker’s children include Landon, 19, and Alabama, 17, whom he had with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler. The couple was married in 2022 in three ceremonies.

The Blink-182-Loving Stepson Of A Missing Titanic Submersible Passenger Clapped Back At ‘POS Trashy Celeb’ Cardi B Over Her Video About Him

Recently, Brian Szasz attended a Blink-182 concert. Without context, that sounds like a fun and innocuous night out. However, Szasz is the stepson of British billionaire Hamish Harding, who is one of the passengers on the submersible vehicle from OceanGate Expeditions, which is currently missing after embarking on a journey to see the sunken Titanic. So, Szasz enjoying a rock show amid this serious situation raised some eyebrows, including those of Cardi B. It turns out Szasz didn’t care for what Cardi had to say.

In a video shared on her Instagram Story yesterday (June 20), Cardi said in part, “People was like, ‘Well, what is he supposed to do? Be sad at the house? Is he supposed to go look for him?’ Yes. You’re supposed to be at the house, sad. You’re supposed to be crying for me. You’re supposed to be right next to the phone, waiting to hear any updates about me.”

Szasz clapped back on Twitter today, writing, “@iamcardib What a pos trashy celeb. Cardi B trying to get clout off me and my families suffering. I went to a Blink 182 concert for coping rather than sitting at home and watching the news. Shame on you Cardi get some class!” He added in another tweet, “Cardi B We know all your latest releases are trash but is your career this desperate for attention now??”

Cardi B Doesn’t Think The Stepson Of A Missing Titanic Submersible Passenger Should Have Gone To A Blink-182 Concert

Cardi B has an issue with the ongoing Titanic submersible situation.

In case you haven’t been on the internet at all over the past few days, here’s what’s happening: A submersible vehicle from OceanGate Expeditions set out on a voyage to view the underwater wreckage of the Titanic. The vessel, which has five people aboard, has since been reported missing. Given that there is a limited amount of air left inside the submersible, this has become a life-or-death situation. (We have a more detailed timeline and explanation of what’s going on here.)

Since that news broke, it was revealed that Brian Szasz, the stepson of British billionaire and currently missing submersible passenger Hamish Harding, attended a Blink-182 concert amid all this. He explained, “It might be distasteful being here but my family would want me to be at the Blink-182 show as it’s my favorite band and music helps me in difficult times!”

Cardi, it turns out, doesn’t quite agree with his reasoning.

In a video shared on her Instagram Story last night (June 20), Cardi (being virtually held by a skinless man, for some reason) said, “People was like, ‘Well, what is he supposed to do? Be sad at the house? Is he supposed to go look for him?’ Yes. You’re supposed to be at the house, sad. You’re supposed to be crying for me. You’re supposed to be right next to the phone, waiting to hear any updates about me. […] Like, isn’t it sad that you a whole f*ckin’ billionaire and nobody gives a f*ck about you? Like, you missing and motherf*ckers is ready to shake dicks at concert. That’s crazy. I’d rather be broke. I’d rather be broke and poor, but knowing that I’m loved.”

Kourtney Kardashian Announces Pregnancy At Blink-182 Show

Kourtney Kardashian has announced that she is expecting her fourth child and her first with her husband Travis Barker. Kardashian and Barker began dating in January 2021 and were engaged by the end of the year. After an unofficial Vegas wedding following the Grammys in April 2022, the couple has since gone on to have two weddings. After officially tying the knot at a California courthouse in May 2022, Kardashian and Barker held a destination spectacle later that month in Portofino, Italy.

Kardashian stole the stage at a blink-182 concert at LA’s BMO Stadium on June 16. As the band, for whom her husband is the drummer, performed, the jumbotron picked out Kardashian in the crowd. The 44-year-old reality star was holding a large hand-written sign that read “TRAVIS I’M PREGNANT”. The members of the band then paused the performance to jump off the stage and embrace Kardashian. The sign itself is a reference to the music video for the band’s iconic 1999 hit “All The Small Things”.

Kourtney Kardashian Expecting Fourth Child

The latest pregnancy is Kardashian’s fourth. Kourtney has three children with Scott Disick, with whom she was in a relationship between 2008 and 2015. Marion Dash turns 14 this year and is the oldest grandchild of the Kardashian-Jenner family. Penelope Scotland turns 11 next month and is believed to have a close relationship with her cousin North. Finally, Kourtney’s youngest child is Reign Aston, who was born in 2014 and shares a birthday with Mason.

Furthermore, Kardashian’s fourth child will be the 13th grandchild born into the illustrious family. She and her younger sister Kim will both have four children each, the most of the family’s second generation. Khloé has two children and is the family member to most recently welcome a new addition to the family. Rob has one child while Kylie Jenner has two. At the time of writing, Kendall Jenner is the only member of the family yet to have a child. Regardless, congratulations to Kourtney and Travis on this wonderful news. The Best Coachella 2023 Performances Were Reflections Of Pure Joy

One of the best moments of Coachella 2023’s first weekend came at the very end of Boygenius’ set. As the trio of Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus, and Julien Baker wrapped up a performance that oscillated between delicacy and rambunctiousness, they closed with “Salt In The Wound,” from their (nearly) universally adored new album, The Record. With Bridgers and Dacus twirling around each other, the two fell to the ground in a laughing fit, as much in their own world as on the Coachella grounds. Then, they spotted Baker still playing guitar and crawled to her, trying to drag her down to their level as Baker soloed above them.

It wasn’t necessarily a moment that was unique to Coachella — the trio pulled a similar move at their Fox Theater show a few days before — but the effect here was much more giddy and silly. The pure joy that was demonstrated as the three members laughed together exemplified why they are so beloved in the first place, the idea of giving the audience a glimpse into what it is ostensibly like hanging with the band: lots of laughs, people being their true selves, caring little about what others think or say, community over everything. At that moment, it didn’t matter that the performance was a bit underattended or that it evoked skepticism of indie’s place at Coachella in the year 2023. It felt like the most inclusive inside joke ever conceived, performed under one of the biggest spotlights that the music world offers.

center

Throughout the weekend, it often wasn’t often the most packed sets that provided moments like this, but the ones where the artist didn’t give in to the pressure of the moment. There was The Linda Lindas, the local group of industry-connected teens that fought through a host of technical issues (and featured Best Coast’s Bobb Bruno trying to help them through it). For a band this young (the oldest is 18, the youngest 12), it wouldn’t have been surprising to see them defeated, but instead, they manifested joy. It was the kind of spirit rarely seen on the professional level and usually reserved for practice spaces and garages, where the point is being there and playing songs with your buds rather than serving an audience or a career. The band jumped, skipped, hopped, yelled, and danced their way into the hearts of the Sonora tent’s spectators.

center

There was Yaeji, the Korean-American Godmode affiliate who broke free of the DJ sets she typically performs at festivals. When her stage stood completely bare except for a microphone stand, it begged the question as to whether things were running extremely late. But instead, Yaeji explored the world of performance art to support her latest With A Hammer, dancing freely and striking stunning poses in silhouette in front of bright backgrounds. She incorporated DIY-adjacent production, where an office chair became a vehicle for expression, where she couldn’t help but laugh in her interactions with her small dance team. Yaeji, playing the small Gobi stage at the exact time Rosalía performed on the main (more for the livestream, though, than the actual Coachella attendees), didn’t have a large audience, but it didn’t matter. She knew that if she was having a blast, so would her fans.

center

This could be seen in some of the bigger moments, too. Despite being their first show back together in nine years, Blink-182 didn’t change a thing for their Coachella set, still acting like potty-mouthed teens despite the seriousness they’d endured in the interim. Weyes Blood was self-aware enough to know that her brand of orchestral indie wasn’t a direct fit for a hot Sunday afternoon in the desert, so she punctuated her set with wry wit and self-deprecating humor, making sure the set remained fun even when the songs were sad. And Latto proved that even political statements can be served in entertaining ways, as she blended raunchy raps with visuals that demanded autonomy for women’s bodies.

center

Largely, Coachella has become the place to put on the best show of your life. Artists like Kali Uchis and Metro Boomin took the assignment seriously and loaded their sets with standout production and guests galore. Even early afternoon performances often include dance teams, elaborate lighting concepts, and impressive staging. But with a year that concluded with the most joyless performance imaginable, where the artist seemed more interested in collecting his paycheck and fulfilling his contractual obligation, these times where the artists seemed to be rediscovering why they do it in the first place stood bright. It’s possible to play both for yourself and for your fans — something Frank Ocean might one day learn — and the larger the scale in which this is achieved, the most impressive. It’s why Blackpink’s headlining set will ultimately stand out as the best of this year’s headliners, because they make the spectacle look fun, like it was what they were born (pink) to do.

center

These moments of joy, also, are what separates attending from livestreaming. While YouTube can give you the feel of a performance and show you what’s happening, that shared emotion of being in the same space stays on the polo fields. Year after year, while people knock Coachella for changing — I prefer evolving and growing — it only takes one trip out there to realize that it’s still expertly curated, featuring some of the most exciting rising and established acts in music, and full of moments of pure joy. All you have to do is look.

Frank Ocean Fans Devastated After He Pulls Out Of Coachella

Frank Ocean will no longer perform at Coachella for the second week, to the ire of his dedicated fanbase who’ve waited years for this moment. It’s not entirely shocking, given how generally unenthusiastic he seemed on stage last weekend. Coachella announced Blink-182 as his replacement, though some feel this warrants a refund. Apparently, the ankle injury he sustained in the week leading up to the festival led to the cancelation, as his rep confirmed to Variety. “On doctor’s advice, [Ocean] is not able to perform weekend 2 due to two fractures and a sprain in his left leg,” they said.

Ocean’s set design underwent significant changes within a day of his performance. He reportedly intended to have an entire ice rink with hockey players. “It was chaotic. There is some beauty in chaos. It isn’t what I intended to show but I did enjoy being out there and I’ll see you soon,” Frank Ocean added in his statement. No word on when he plans to make this up, especially after his vague update on new music during weekend one. Still, many aren’t happy about the massive changes to the Coachella line-up.

The chaos that Frank Ocean refers to in his statement seemingly references his turbulent performance on Sunday night. Along with scrapping his set design at the last minute, he was also significantly late for his headlining slot. Frank Ocean appeared on stage nearly an hour after he was scheduled and was forced to cut his set short after going over Indio, CA’s curfew. Many hoped that he’d make up the abrupt cancelation during weekend two but evidently, that won’t happen this year. On top of the live stream of his performance was nixed moments before he went on stage.

Frank Ocean’s Coachella performance was among the most anticipated sets of the year, if not, the decade, so far. He was initially scheduled to perform in 2020 but due to the pandemic, those plans fell through. Ultimately, there’s disappointment in the air, even if many expected the otherwise mysterious singer to find a way out of Coachella this year. There’s a legion of dedicated fans who spent hard-earned cash and took time off to see Frank Ocean live. Now, they must settle for Blink-182. Check out a few reactions below.

Frank Ocean Drops Out Of Coachella Week 2

Frank Ocean’s highly anticipated headlining performance at Coachella did not live up to the hype or the very high expectations of his fans. Unlike many of the other artists, Frank’s performance was not live-streamed. This upset many fans who had planned to watch from home. In addition, those who attended Coachella in person expressed some disappointment with the logistics and scheduling of the performance. Although people were pleased that he showed up, there were issues that prevented it from being a fully satisfying experience. From Frank showing up an hour late to an injury he sustained before the performance, the entire situation was a mess.

It isn’t all bad in the end, though. Frank did confirm that he has a new album on the way. “It’s been so long. Everybody talks about how long it’s been. ‘It’s been so long, it’s been so long.’ But I have missed you,” he said. “I want to talk about why I’m here, because it’s not because of a new album. It’s because — not that there’s not a new album… but there’s not right now. Chill, chill, chill. No, it’s not right now.” Hopefully that was at least some comfort to the fans who were upset that he was late. Though they may have been angry when he cut the set short, they will probably be counting themselves lucky now. Frank just pulled out of week 2.

Frank Leaves Fans Hanging

In a new statement released by Frank and his team, it has been confirmed that the artist will not be making an appearance at weekend 2. “Frank Ocean will not be performing at weekend 2 of Coachella. After suffering an injury to his leg on festival grounds in the week leading up to weekend 1,” the statement said. “Frank Ocean was unable to perform the intended show but was still intent on performing, and in 72 hours, the show was reworked out of necessity.” Cue disappointment and anger from Frank’s fans.

In the statement, Frank also had a few things to say. However, they were mostly empty words about how special it was to have been there the first weekend. “It was chaotic. There is some beauty in chaos. It isn’t what I intended to show,” Frank said. “But I did enjoy being out there and I’ll see you soon.” Whether or not this statement is enough to assuage the anger of fans who bought tickets specifically for Frank Ocean remains to be seen. What do you think? Do you think Frank is in the wrong here? Sound off in the comments!

Bad Bunny, Blink-182, And Metro Boomin Brought The Heat To Coachella 2023

It’s that time of the year again; hundreds of thousands of people flock to the California desert to show out in their best outfits, sample some amazing eats, and, of course, see a line-up of incredible artists at Coachella. Now that he dust has (literally) settled on the grounds, let’s look back on the highlights of Coachella 2023 Day One, which highlighted era-defining artists Blondie and Blink-182 while bringing together some of the current innovators like Bad Bunny and Metro Boomin.

Bad Bunny closed out the night with a bang, and I’m not just about the fireworks during his main stage set. The Puerto Rican rapper drew the largest crowd of the night, and for good reason. While the moment was historic — Bad Bunny is the first Latin solo artist to ever headline the festival — he made sure to highlight the roots of Reggaeton music and credit the artists who made his success possible like Celia Cruz, El General, and Tego Calderón. On top of that, his show-stopping stage design cleverly nodded to the viral concert he performed on top of a gas station late last year. Bad Bunny performed all the hits during his set, like “Moscow Mule,” “Yo Perreo Sola,” and “Después De La Playa.” He even brought out Post Malone for an acoustic set, but technical difficulties made it nearly impossible to hear him.

Bad Bunny Coachella 2023

Bad Bunny is far from the only artist who brought out surprise guests on stage. One thing about Coachella is always true: if an artist has a collaboration, they’re going to use their Coachella set as an excuse to bring that artist out to perform. Metro Boomin’s closing set at the Sahara stage is perhaps the biggest example of that. A massive stage floated down from the ceiling that housed Metro’s main DJ equipment, with Metro himself dressed as a superhero (cape included). John Legend appeared below, kicking the set off with their Heroes & Villains track “On Time.” From there, Future joined Metro for several tracks like “Superhero,” “Serve The Bass,” and “Thought It Was Drought.” Don Toliver was next, delivering “Too Many Nights” with Future. 21 Savage also took the stage for a couple tracks like “10 Freaky Girls” and some highlights from Savage Mode 2, while also giving Metro his flowers by naming him the “greatest producer of our generation.” Finally, after teasing his appearance on Twitter, The Weeknd pulled up and the crowd went wild. He delivered his After Hours track “Heartless” and gave us a taste of upcoming music with an unreleased track. Finally, The Weeknd closed out the set with fan-favorite “Creepin,” where Diddy made a brief and unexpected cameo.

Blink-182 was another major highlight from Coachella day one, and perhaps the only major artist who didn’t bring out any surprise guests. Instead, they themselves were the surprise guests. Blink-182 was announced as part of the lineup just a few days ago, reuniting on the stage with their original lineup of Tom Delonge, Mark Hoppus, and Travis Barker for the first time in nine years. And in the years since, each three members have come a long way; Mark Hoppus beat cancer, Tom Delonge discovered aliens (kinda), and Travis Barker married a Kardashian. Joining together on stage, though, it felt like no time had passed. Mark and Tom were continually cracking “your mom” jokes like it was still the ’90s. To their credit, their set did feel like it transported the crowd back to their 1999 inception, playing all the early tracks like “The Rock Show” and “What’s My Age Again.” They closed out their set with three back-to-back greatest hits, “I Miss You,” “All The Small Things,” and “Dammit.”

Countless other artists on Coachella 2023’s day one lineup made their memorable mark on the weekend. Gorillaz, who recently dropped the album Cracker Island, used their stage time to highlight collaborators. They invited Thundercat to the stage to perform their recent album’s title track, Del The Funkee Homosapien for their iconic hit “Clint Eastwood,” and UK rapper Slowthai for “Momentary Bliss.” Artists who couldn’t make it to the stage were replaced massive holograms, like Tame Impala singing his part on “New Gold” and Snoop Dogg firing off his verse in “Hollywood.” Indie-pop trio MUNA was also a highlight of the day. The group dedicated their set to their young queer and trans fans while performing a soon-to-be released song and bringing out the members of Boygenius to sing “Silk Chiffon.” Top Dawg Entertainment rapper Doechii brought the heat to the already sweltering day with an impeccably choreographed set. New Zealand breakout songwriter Benee drew a massive crowd for a mid-day performance where she brought out Gus Dapperton for their quarantine-era viral hit “Supalonely.” Finally, Philly band Soul Glo made good on their hard-core genre label by opening up a mosh pit and delivering a riotous and riveting set.
