Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance Tour’ Announcement Has Fans Elated And In Formation To Buy Tickets

Beyoncé fans may have joked about dreading the effects her eventual Renaissance tour would have on their checkbooks, but now that the announcement has been made, it looks like they can’t wait to give her all their money — even if it is the first of the month when the rent’s due.

While some fans have been joking about selling the family homestead to afford the tickets, which are currently only available to fans who register on Beyoncé’s website. This is likely a precautionary measure to avoid a repeat of Ticketmaster’s Eras Tour debacle, which angered Taylor Swift fans enough that even Congress stepped in to grill the ticket platform’s parent company, Live Nation.

Meanwhile, other Beyoncé fans are trying to take a different tack, urging others to avoid her concerts with dire, tongue-in-cheek warnings of the dangers of her siren’s call. One fan even went so far as to play one of Beyoncé’s signature songs, “Single Ladies,” in reverse, a sly reference to past satanic panics (although those usually involved heavy metal bands in the ’80s).

And due to the high demand, plenty of fans expressed plans to see their fave by hook or crook, even if it means also making travel plans to see her in a completely different city.

Clearly, The Beyhive is thriving today, and Black History Month is off to a great start. But one question remains: Where are the visuals, sis?

When Will Tickets For Beyoncé’s 2023 Tour Go On Sale?

No one can break Beyoncé’s soul, but the Beyhive can certainly break the internet. Upon the announcement of her upcoming Renaissance World Tour, fans crashed the Citi Entertainment site, which revealed the guidelines on how to register for the pre-sale.

When will tickets for Beyoncé’s 2023 tour go on sale?

The Citi pre-sale link is now active again, and fans can begin registering to receive their pre-sale codes now.

The pre-sale is powered by a program called Verified Fan, in which fans can register to potentially be invited to purchase pre-sale tickets. Registering, however, will not guarantee each fan will be verified, receive a code, or have the ability to purchase tickets.

Those who are invited will receive an access code the night before the Citi presale inviting them to shop for tickets.

According to Citi Entertainment’s website, “Registration for the Citi presale powered by Verified Fan in Chicago, East Rutherford, Washington DC, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Houston will go through Thursday, February 2 at 11:59 PM EST. Verified fans will be notified and the Citi presale will begin Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 10 AM EST through Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 6 PM EST.”

The following week, “Verified Fan in Minneapolis, Boston, Tampa, Miami, San Francisco, Seattle and Dallas will go through Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 11:59 PM EST.”

At the time of writing, registration is only available to those with a Citi credit card. It is unclear when general on-sale will begin, however, non-Citi cardholders will be able to purchase tickets here.

Beyoncé Officially Announces “Renaissance” World Tour 2023

Beyoncé will be hitting the road for the first time since 2018’s On The Run II Tour with Jay-Z.

After much speculation in recent months, Queen Bey dropped the official dates for the Renaissance World Tour 2023. The singer will kick off the European leg first. The tour will begin in Stockholm, Sweden on May 10th before heading to various European cities including Paris, London, and Amsterdam.

The North American leg will begin with two nights in Toronto on July 8th and 9th before heading to Philadelphia to begin the remainder of her U.S. dates. Beyoncé will be hitting every major U.S. city including two nights in both New York and Los Angeles.

The news of Beyoncé’s tour comes shortly after her performance in Dubai. The “Alien Superstar” artist graced the stage for the grand opening of Atlantis The Royal for an exclusive performance. Only celebrities, influencers and journalists were invited to watch the show.

Beyoncé’s album, Renaissance dropped in late July 2022. The project’s dance-heavy production earned critical acclaim across the board, landing at the top of several year-end lists. Additionally, it earned Bey 9 Grammy noms including Album Of The Year. During the 2022 Wearable Art Gala, she sparked speculation surrounding the upcoming tour after auctioning luxury ticket packages. The buyers spent $40K and over for backstage passes, concert tickets and more.

How To Buy Tickets For Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance’ Tour

Well, it’s finally happening. After Beyoncé’s private concert in Dubai and after her father Mathew Knowles said his daughter (not Solange) was planning a tour behind Renaissance, the tour is officially happening. Beyoncé made the official announcement this morning (February 1) and shortly before that, Citi listed a “Citi Verified Fan Presale” page for “Beyoncé RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR,” which features shows between July and September in a number of North American cities.

So, how does one get tickets?

One way to get tickets is via the Citi Verified Fan Presale. To attempt to secure a ticket, buyers must first register for the pre-sale. Some registrants will then receive an access code the night before the presale goes live, which will grant access to shop for tickets. Then, they’ll be able to buy tickets with a valid Citi credit card of Citibank debit card.

Otherwise, links to register to get tickets for specific tour dates are available on Beyoncé’s website.

The trek starts in May with some European and UK dates before heading to North America in July. That part of the tour kicks off in Toronto and will later wrap up in New Orleans.

Beyoncé Has Finally Announced A Tour In Support Of ‘Renaissance’

This morning (February 1), Beyoncé officially announced a Renaissance world tour, dates for which are on Beyoncé’s website. Citi also now has a “Citi Verified Fan Presale” page for “Beyoncé RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR.” Listed on the page are shows between July and September in various North American cities.

Donald Glover’s Next Show Is Inspired By Beyoncé, The Beyhive, And The Dark Side Of Standom

Now that Atlanta is all wrapped up, Donald Glover is setting his sights on another aspect of the recording industry: The dark side of standom. According to Vanity Fair, Glover’s next television project, Swarm, is inspired by Beyoncé and her infamous Beyhive.

The Hive has been one of the most notorious and feared fan groups in music for some time; critics and casuals alike must be wary of insulting Queen Bey (even unintentionally), lest they incur the wrath of her thousands of defensive, chronically-online stans. Not even Nicole Curran, the wife of the Golden State Warriors co-owner, was safe when she got a little too close to Jay-Z for comfort.

Glover’s new project will scrutinize stan culture through the story of Dre (portrayed by Dominique Fishback), whose obsession with a pop star (who is apparently very inspired by Beyoncé) takes her to some dark places, judging from the screenshots provided by Vanity Fair. Ironically, Dre’s sister will be played by Chloe Bailey — who is best known as one-half of sister duo Chloe X Halle and signed to Beyonce’s label, Parkwood. Meanwhile, Dre’s love interest will be played by Damson Idris, of Snowfall fame.

The show will be executive produced by Atlanta writer Janine Nabors and will stream on Amazon Prime Video.
