Kid Cudi Cancels World Tour After Freak Accident at Coachella

Kid Cudi Cancels World Tour After Freak Accident at Coachella

Kid Cudi officially canceled his Insane World Tour following the freak accident where he broke his ankle during his recent set at Coachella this past Sunday.

The rapper broke the news, and no pun was intended in a post on X (formerly Twitter). Here’s what he said on the post:

“Guys, so, I have a broken calcaneus,” he wrote. “I’m headed to surgery now and there’s gonna be a long recovery time. We have to cancel the tour so I can focus on getting better to be out there in top shape to rage with you all. Theres just no way I can bounce back in time to give 100%. The injury is much more serious than I thought. Anyone who bought tickets will get a full refund, you’ll get an email soon. We will be back with new tour dates as soon as possible, and I can’t wait to get back out there with you guys and turn up how we do. I’m so sorry fam and I love you all so much, thanks for the endless love and support. Im really disappointed as I’m sure you guys are too, but I will be back. Thats a promise. Im ok, just a lil soreness, but I’m in good spirits.”

The crazy part is that Kid Cudi was a last-minute addition to Coachella’s star-studded lineup. It was all fine during his performance in the Sahara Tent until he decided to jump off the stage. That’s when things took a turn, and he collapsed after he clearly got hurt.

“Hey guys, so I broke my foot today at the show,” he then posted on X not too long after the incident. “Just leavin the hospital. Never broken a bone before so this is all a bit crazy. I wanna thank u all for ur concerns and well wishes!! I love yall man. I heard yall still ragin when I was offstage. Made me smile big.”

It’s sad because Cudi’s last appearance at Coachella was in 2019. There, he performed songs from “Kids See Ghosts” alongside Kanye West, who now goes by Ye.

The Insano world tour was scheduled to kick off on July 28 in Austin, Texas, with 43 dates and was going to have support from Pusha T, Jaden, and Earthgang. Damn.

Kid Cudi Cancels His Summer Tour After Breaking His Foot

Weekend 2 of Coachella wrapped up a few days ago marking the end of one of the biggest music festivals around and the beginning of festival season in the US. The event was headlined by Lana Del Rey, Doja Cat, and Tyler, The Creator. Each of them delivered massive performances on both weekends. There was talent littered throughout the lineup from top to bottom. That included a number of standout rap moments from the likes of Ice Spice, Lil Uzi Vert, Coi Leray, and more.

Each weekend also features special surprise performers who were only announced at the last minute. Weekend one featured indie band Vampire Weekend who didn’t disappoint. They made for one of the festival’s oddest moments bringing Paris Hilton on stage with them. For weekend two, Kid Cudi was the special guest, though now he probably wishes he hadn’t joined the fest last minute. At the end of a set that delighted fans, Cudi jumped off the stage. That’s where the problems began as the jump actually resulted in the rapper and singer breaking his foot. He took to social media later in the day to reveal to fans what had happened. Now there’s even more bad news coming from the medical mishap. Check out his new announcement below.

Kid Cudi Pulls The Plug On Tour

In a tweet made earlier today, Cudi shares some bad news with fans. Firstly, he revealed specifically that he broke his calcaneus and that it will require surgery. Then he announced that due to the long recovery period from surgery he had no choice but to cancel his previously announced world tour later this year. He apologizes to fans and promises everyone will get a full refund. He also assures them that once he’s healed he will be back and better than ever ready to play shows again.

Coi Leray Shows Off Her Dance Moves During Coachella Set

Week two of Coachella wrapped up over the weekend and there were tons of highlights. After bringing out Kali Uchis, A$AP Rocky, and Childish Gambino during his first weekend set, Tyler, The Creator was joined by Earl Sweatshirt during his second weekend headlining set. Doja Cat also headlined the festival and had Teezo Touchdown, A$AP Rocky, and 21 Savage along for the ride in her set. A variety of other rap stars performed over the weekend including Lil Uzi Vert, Kid Cudi, Lil Yachty, and even Coi Leray.

Coi took to her Instagram to recap both of her performances at the festival. For weekend two she dropped a video showing off some of the dance moves she unpacked during her set. The clip has already racked up more than 75k likes and grabbed some love from fellow celebrities like Paris Hilton in the comments. Hilton made her own surprising appearance at Coachella during weekend one of the festival when she joined indie band Vampire Weekend on stage. Check out the video Coi shared to Instagram below.

Coi Leray Flexes Her Coachella Dance Moves

Coi Leray has been informing fans on some changes she may make soon. She tweeted about changing her name to just “Coi” which was also the title of her album that dropped last year. Coi under-performed commercially so it’s no surprise that she may also be making some changes to her artistry as well.

Earlier today she tweeted about her fans being too obsessed with “baby Coi.” She asked for the space and opportunity to grow and mature as an artist. She only has two projects under her belt so far but has a couple major hits under her belt like “Players” and “Baby Don’t Hurt Me.” Both songs have over 450k streams on Spotify. What do you think of Coi Leray showing off her dance moves from weekend two of Coachella? Are you looking forward to her dropping a new album? Let us know in the comment section below.

Chloe Bailey Gives Fans An Up Close Look At Her Coachella Outfit

Weekend two of Coachella just wrapped up and it was an exciting back to back weekends of music. Lana Del Rey, Tyler, The Creator, and Doja Cat headlined while stars like Peso Pluma, Lil Uzi Vert, Blxst, Coi Leray, J Balvin, Lil Yachty and many more also took to the various festival stages. Even Kid Cudi made a surprise appearance during the second weekend with a last minute announcement of his set. But right at the end of his set he jumped off the stage, a jump that he revealed earlier today left him with a broken foot.

Another artist who performed at Coachella was Chloe Bailey. She’s fresh off her debut solo album last year and reportedly has yet another project in the works. During her set she played tracks from her debut album for fans and as usual, looked excellent doing it. With a recent Instagram dump she showed off her outfit in much closer detail. She also shared some pictures with other celebs performing at the festival like Sabrina Carpenter, Victoria Monet, and YG Marley. “wish i could relive it all over again #chlöchella” the caption of the post reads. Check out the post she shared and fan reactions to it below.

Kid Cudi Vows ‘No More Prancing’ After Breaking His Foot At Coachella 2024 And Gives An Update On His ‘Insano World Tour’ Status

Kid Cudi broke his foot while performing at the second weekend of Coachella 2024, but his sense of humor is intact, at least.

“Hey, guys, yeah, sh*t got real yesterday,” Cudi said in a video posted to X (formerly Twitter) on Monday morning, April 22. “This is what happens when a 40-year-old man tries to prance around off stage like he’s 26 — like he used to do back in the day. I learned a valuable lesson: No more prancing around, jumping off stages.”

Cudi went on to explain that he’s “hoping” to be “healed up” in time for his Insano World Tour, which is scheduled to begin on June 28.

“I don’t want to let you guys down,” he said. “That’s what we’re aiming for. Not canceling anything just yet. Just gonna wait and see how things go, but I’m OK. A little sore. Yesterday, [I was in] a lot of pain, but I’m doing better now. I have a little temporary cast on now, and I gotta go get a real cast in a little bit. Apparently, I broke something in my heel. This is a major setback, but don’t worry. I’ma bounce back. I love y’all. All day. Engage the rage. But not at 40.”

Hopefully, Cudi wasn’t planning on getting married to Lola Abecassis Sartorehis newly announced fiancée — in the immediate future because a broken heel might complicate walking down the aisle.

Kid Cudi Updates Fans After Breaking His Foot At Coachella: Watch

Kid Cudi had a great time at Coachella this Sunday (April 21)… for a little bit, at least. Unfortunately, his set was cut short after he fell while performing and broke something in his heel, which a lot of fans were obviously very concerned with. Moreover, some expressed disappointment in the Cleveland creative for not sticking around or for falling in the first place, but the general sentiment is that these things can happen to anyone. Thus, folks sent him their best wishes, and his die-hards waited patiently for an update. The 40-year-old then took to social media with an update for fans with the caption “Hello there.”

“Hey, guys… Yeah, s**t got real yesterday,” Kid Cudi began his message below, indicating that he’s in good spirits and still recovering. “This is what happens when a 40-year-old man tries to prance around off stage like he’s 26. Like he used to do back in the day. I learned a valuable lesson: No more prancing around, jumping off stages.” We’re sure that he will reflect a lot on this time of his life in his upcoming memoir.

Kid Cudi Gives Update On His Broken Foot: Watch

Then, Kid Cudi expressed hope that he will fully recover by the time his INSANO tour kicks off in late June of this year. “I don’t want to let you guys down,” he shared “That’s what we’re aiming for. Not canceling anything just yet. Just gonna wait and see how things go, but I’m okay. A little sore. Yesterday, a lot of pain, but I’m doing better now. I have a little temporary cast on now, and I gotta go get a real cast in a little bit. Apparently, I broke something in my heel.

“This is a major setback, but don’t worry. I’ma bounce back,” Mr. Rager continued. “I love y’all. All day. Engage the rage. But not at 40.” At least he has his engagement to look forward to as well! For more news and the latest updates on Kid Cudi, stay posted on HNHH.

When Do Tickets For Coachella 2025 Go On Sale?

Yesterday (April 21) was the final day of Coachella 2024. You know what that means: Time to start thinking about Coachella 2025! I’m only half-joking: While most of this year’s attendees probably want a minute to unwind from the 2024 festivities, Coachella organizers are already gearing up for 2025. In fact, mere hours ago, the dates for next year’s festival were announced.

When Do Tickets For Coachella 2025 Go On Sale?

Next year’s festival starts with Weekend 1 on April 11 to 13, 2025, followed by Weekend 2 on April 18 to 20, 2025. As for tickets, the earliest opportunity to get those will be during the Advance Sale, which starts on May 3. There’s not much specific information available about the Advance Sale as of this post, but keep an eye on Coachella’s socials and their website for more info.

Beyond ticket sales, there are some other information drops to look forward to as well. None of those have been announced yet, but we can look to historical precedent to estimate when some things might start happening. For instance, this year’s Coachella lineup was announced in January, so it wouldn’t be surprising for the 2025 lineup to arrive that January, too. Meanwhile, assuming ticket pricing stays mostly the same between this year and next, the 2024 prices could be indicative of what to expect next year.

What Are The Dates For Coachella 2025?

Coachella 2024 closed less than 12 hours ago. Headliners Doja Cat, Lana Del Rey, and Tyler The Creator delivered, as captured in photos by Uproxx’s Philip Cosores, and Sabrina Carpenter edited her outro of “Nonsense” to tease, “Coachella, see you back here when I headline.” There’s a substantial wait before the Coachella 2025 headliners are announced, but the annual festival wasted no time in announcing its 2025 dates.

What Are The Dates For Coachella 2025?

Early Monday morning, April 22, Coachella confirmed that Coachella 2025 will kick off with Weekend 1 on April 11 to 13, 2025 and return for Weekend 2 on April 18 to 20, 2025. The festival will, yet again, happen at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. According to Coachella’s announcement, the Advance Sale for 2025 tickets begins on Friday, May 3.

Using the past as the guide, Coachella 2025 lineup, including the headliners, will probably be announced in January 2025.

Prices for 2024 tickets will probably be instructive for 2025 prices, and General Admission three-day passes were listed as follows for this year’s festival: Tier 1 ($499 plus fees), Tier 2 ($549 plus fees), and Tier 3 ($599 plus fees). VIP weekend passes were also offered in two tiers — Tier 1 ($1,069 plus fees) and Tier 2 ($1,269 plus fees).

It Turns Out Kid Cudi Broke His Foot During A Nasty Fall At Coachella’s Second Weekend

Going into the second weekend of Coachella 2024 this past weekend, Kid Cudi was one of the big surprises, as he was added to the lineup days before. It turns out the performance had a surprise for Cudi, too.

Fan-shot videos show Cudi attempting to hop off the stage and get closer to the crowd. He stepped carefully making his way to the ledge, but when he jumped off, he landed on his right foot wrong and appeared to have rolled an ankle. That put an end to Cudi’s night as he ended up being helped away from the stage, holding his right foot up.

The injury ended up being more than just a rolled ankle: Hours later, Cudi tweeted, “Hey guys, so I broke my foot today at the show. [face palm emoji] just leavin the hospital. Never broken a bone before so this is all a bit crazy. I wanna thank u all for ur concerns and well wishes!! I love yall man. I heard yall still ragin when I was offstage. Made me smile big.”

It remains to be seen if Cudi’s injury will have an impact on his upcoming Insano World Tour, which is currently set to kick off in late June.
