Many celebrities will tell you that life in the public eye isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Grammy-winning singer SZA would certainly agree, especially considering fame might have amplified insecurities around her body.

Throughout the “Saturn” singer’s chart-topping sophomore album, SOS, SZA confirmed rumors that she underwent a BBL (Brazilian butt lift) procedure. After the confession, she often joked about her protruding backside. But during a recent sit-down with British Vogue, SZA’s happiness seemingly wore off.

“I’m so mad I did that sh*t,” she said. “I gained all this weight from being immobile while recovering and trying to preserve the fat. It was just so stupid. But who gives a f*ck. You got a BBL, you realize you didn’t need that sh*t. It doesn’t matter.”

Despite her remarks, SZA does not regret the cosmetic procedure unlike her previous breast implants. Instead, she’s beholden to it, saying: “My booty look nice. And I’m grateful that it looks pretty much… I don’t know, sometimes natural. But I don’t even care. It’s something that I wanted. I’m enjoying it. I love shaking it.”

SZA’s declaration has left many supporters confused. But her double-mindedness has made her a prolific songwriter. So, there’s that.

During a recent interview with British Vogue, SZA got brutally honest about her Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), and why she ultimately regrets getting it. According to her, she doesn’t think the procedure was necessary and wishes she had prioritized other things like her mental health. Despite this, SZA points out how she loves her body, butt included.

“I’m so mad I did that sh*t,” she told the outlet. “I gained all this weight from being immobile while recovering and trying to preserve the fat. It was just so st*pid. But who gives a f*ck? You got a BBL, you realize you didn’t need the sh*t. It doesn’t matter. I’ll do a whole bunch more sh*t just like it if I want to before I’m f*cking dead because this body is temporary. It just wasn’t super necessary – I have other sh*t that I need to work on about myself… I need to get my f*cking mental health together… Not to say you can’t do those things simultaneously, just, for me, I realize wherever you go, there you’ll be.”

SZA Opens Up About Cosmetic Surgery

“But I love my butt,” SZA concluded. “Don’t get me wrong. My booty look nice. And I’m grateful that it looks pretty much… I don’t know, sometimes natural, but I don’t even care. It’s something that I wanted. I’m enjoying it. I love shaking it.” This isn’t the only time SZA opened up about cosmetic surgery, however. During an appearance on the S.H.E. MD podcast earlier this year, she also detailed her painful experience with breast implants and revealed why she had hers removed.

“So basically, I put them in. They ended up hurting me,” she explained at the time. “I got way too much scar tissue because my breasts are too dense and I’m not supposed to have breast implants. And so I ended up getting extra fibrosis like with tissue, whatever, and I didn’t feel good and it was painful. So, I took them out, and now, they’re just my boobs.”

GloRilla is ready for the smoke. The rapper has no problem mocking fans who make inconsiderate comments online. She proved it on November 13. GloRilla posted a video of herself working out, and followers flocked to the comment section to praise the rapper’s work ethic. One fan, however, took a different approach. They suggested that GloRilla is gearing up to get a BBL surgery, and the rapper clapped back with a hilarious response.

“Yeah, she bouta pop out with a bbl,” the fan tweeted out. GloRilla then quote tweeted the fan and raised a few questions about how she would do that. “B*tch where exactly ima get da fat from,” she asked. “My a*s to put it back in my a*s?” GloRilla has been open about her figure, and the importance that she puts on staying fit. It’s one of the main reasons she doesn’t want to get pregnant. She told Charlamagne tha God that would prefer to have kids via surrogate so that she could maintain her grueling physical routine. “I just don’t want to actually have a baby,” she explained. “All my friends have kids, and they’re restricted a lot when they’re pregnant. I’m like, ‘Nah, I don’t want to go through that.’”

GloRilla Has Repeatedly Dealt With BBL Rumors

GloRilla’s appearance was also the subject of intense speculation in October. The rapper posted a photo of herself sporting a baby bump, which absolutely blew the minds of fans. Some were perplexed that she would have a child after claiming she didn’t want to. Others were confused as to how she promoted her new album while concealing said pregnancy. In the end, the whole thing proved to be trolling. GloRilla is not pregnant, and won’t be anytime soon, if her statement is to be taken as gospel.

GloRilla’s back-and-forth with a fan was not the first time she’s had to contend with BBL rumors. Ultimately, however, she still decided to go through with the surgery because she felt the reward would outweigh the risk. “The healing process and going through it, like, the first day until you’re healed is hell,” she explained. “Probably the worst pain I’ve ever experienced in my whole life… The first day, I passed out.” Banks went on, recalling the months after her surgery. “The pain is just excruciating, you know, cuz the inside of your body is like brutalized,” she said. “It took a while. I probably didn’t stop hurting all the way until like April, and I got my surgery in December. I just stopped hurting in April.”

Banks continued, noting that while her backside does feel heavy at times, she’s not yet struggling with any back pain.
