That GOAT case became a whole lot stronger last night as he surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for first all-time in career points. It was a truly spectacular achievement that fans simply could not believe. Heading into last night’s game, James needed 36 more points. Although this is well above his season average, James decided to go for it, and it ultimately paid off. By the third quarter, he had the record, and his family was there to meet him on the court. 50 Cent Has Bittersweet Feelings About LeBron James’ NBA Scoring Record

50 Cent was among the many to congratulate LeBron James on his epic game on Tuesday night. The Lakers player further cemented his status as a GOAT in the league after breaking the record for all-time points. Fans were undoubtedly excited about the feat, not only for James but simply to witness NBA history. Kareem-Abdul Jabbar, who previously held the record, applauded James at the Lakers game for his incredible performance that created a historic moment for the league.

The NBA shared a compilation video afterward of LeBron’s celebrity friends and NBA peers congratulating him. Drake, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Stephen Curry, Snoop Dogg, and many others appeared in the video where they shared congratulatory messages. “I am so grateful to witness this moment in history,” Rihanna stated in the video. Meanwhile, Drake echoed a similar sentiment, saying, “legendary night in NBA history.” Though 50 Cent feels similar to Rihanna and Drake, he admitted LeBron’s feat impacted his bottom line.

50 Cent Loses Money, No Thanks To LeBron

50 Cent expressed bittersweet feelings about LeBron James’ record-breaking performance. He, like many others, witnessed a moment in history on Tuesday night. However, the Lakers still lost against OKC during Tuesday’s game by 3 points and it appears that 50 Cent lost his bet as a result. “Hard work pays off, work hard but damn I wanted to see them win last night,” 50 wrote alongside a picture of the all-time leading scorer. “They fvcked up my tickets at the sports book. LOL,” he added, though he didn’t reveal how much he bet on the game.

Regardless, 50 Cent’s always shown love to LeBron James over the years. When Julius Erving left LeBron off of his list of all-time top two NBA teams, Fif immediately leaped to James’ defense. He said Erving’s comments “sound like some old hater shit” before vouching for James’ talents. “It takes a lot of work and talent to be @kingjames if that wasn’t true we would have 3 or 4 of him, we only got 1,” 50 wrote in the comment section of his post. Whether or not he won his bet last night, 50 Cent is among the rest of us who are excited about LeBron’s career milestone.

Anthony Davis Didn’t Seem To Care About LeBron’s Record

When Anthony Davis was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, it was clear that he and LeBron James were the best duo in basketball. Subsequently, in their first season together, LeBron and AD were able to win an NBA championship. Overall, this was an incredible achievement that gave Davis his first title, and LeBron his fourth. In recent years, however, the Lakers have regressed. Davis has dealt with numerous injuries, and there has been this sense that AD could be traded at some point. As for LeBron, he is clearly unhappy with some of the other moves that have been made by the front office.

Yesterday, however, was a much happier day for LeBron and the Lakers franchise. This is because James got to break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s scoring record. The Lakers were playing the Oklahoma City Thunder, and James needed 36 points. Consequently, LeBron was playing with added motivation and he ended up scoring 36 points in just three quarters. Overall, it was an amazing moment that had the entire Lakers bench on their feet. Although, there was one person who did not seem to care.

Anthony Davis Reacts

In the video clip above, you can see Anthony Davis sitting down on the bench as LeBron takes the record-breaking shot. It is a pretty sad state of affairs that showcases the fractured relationships within the Lakers’ locker room. Overall, fans were pretty shocked to see this as they thought James and AD were still good friends. Of course, fans could simply be overreacting to this. However, it is odd that anyone would want to sit down in the midst of greatness. At the end of the day, it just comes across like AD is jealous of what James accomplished.

Perhaps Anthony Davis was brought up in Kyrie Irving trade discussions. That is one of the theories that fans are floating around right now. Regardless, this is a bad look for AD, and it should be interesting to see how all of this develops over the coming days and weeks. If the Lakers don’t make the playoffs, then the fallout here could be huge. Let us know what you thought of AD’s actions, in the comments section down below.

Shannon Sharpe Reacts To LeBron’s Scoring Record

Shannon Sharpe has been one of LeBron James’ biggest supporters over the last few years. Whenever he goes on Undisputed, he is defending James’ honor against Skip Bayless. Overall, Sharpe and LeBron have developed into great friends, and they continue to support one another. This has been especially true over the last few months. Mostly, this is because of the fact that LeBron has been chasing the NBA’s all-time scoring record. Although this record has been held for 39 years, James was on the verge of breaking it last night.

Subsequently, Shannon made sure to attend the Lakers’ match against the Oklahoma City Thunder last night. Going into this game, LeBron was 36 points away from the record. Most people felt as though he would break the record on Thursday. However, James clearly had other plans as he shattered the record by the end of the third quarter. Overall, it was a truly incredible accomplishment that was celebrated by everyone on the floor. For LeBron and everyone in attendance, this was an incredibly emotional moment that will never be forgotten.

Shannon Sharpe Speaks

During today’s episode of Undisputed, Shannon Sharpe was able to give his entire reaction to LeBron’s record. In the clip above, Sharpe went in-depth on why this is so impressive. Firstly, Sharpe noted that it is LeBron’s longevity that will never be matched. Secondly, Sharpe believes that LeBron has yet to fall off from his game. Although he may not be getting better, he certainly isn’t getting any worse. Additionally, Sharpe explained how averaging 27 points per game over a 20-year career is something that ought to be celebrated for years to come.

On the flip side of this, his broadcast partner Skip Bayless isn’t going to be crowning LeBron as the GOAT anytime soon. However, Bayless did note that this record is the ultimate testament to LeBron’s longevity. What James has been able to do is impressive, and even though Skip is a hater, he can’t deny what LeBron has done here. Hopefully, James can eventually get to 40,000 points and beyond before his career is over.

Shaq & Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Share Heartfelt Exchange

Shaq and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar are two of the greatest centers to ever play in the NBA. Overall, they are considered to be top five players in the history of the league, although Kareem more so than Shaq. Either way, there is no doubt that these two men are legends in their own right. They both played for the Lakers, and they both won a ton of championships with the franchise. However, there was seemingly this sense that Kareem and Shaq had beef during his time in L.A. It was one of those narratives that could never be confirmed, although it certainly weighed on the big man.

As for Kareem, he was in Los Angeles last night as he watched LeBron try and break his scoring record. James was just 36 points away from the record, and fans were skeptical as to whether or not he would do it. In the end, however, James was able to come through with a special game. He managed to tally 38 points and broke the record at the end of the third quarter. As you can imagine, it was a very special moment in the arena.

Shaq & Kareem Speak

Following the match, Shaq and Kareem got to speak together as part of a post-game segment on TNT. During this segment, Kareem addressed Shaq and revealed to him that he never meant to diss him during his time with the Lakers. In fact, Kareem praised the NBA legend for his dominance during that era. Subsequently, Shaq gave some praise right back to The Captain, making for a very sweet moment between the two. Kareem even told Shaq to continue representing the beautiful game. Overall, if you are a Lakers fan, you couldn’t help but be touched by this moment.

Abdul-Jabbar is now second on the all-time scoring list, which is going to be hard to get used to. For decades, Kareem held a record that many thought would never be broken. Now, however, LeBron holds the title and he will likely hold that record for decades as well. By the time everything is said and done, James could have upwards of 42-45,000 points.

LeBron James Breaks Scoring Record, NBA Twitter Reacts

LeBron has been in the NBA for 20 years at this point. Throughout those 20 seasons, he has managed to win four NBA titles, all while notching numerous records. Overall, he is considered a top 2 player to ever play the game. However, there are some people who would say he is the GOAT. LeBron James Honored By Drake, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, & More

LeBron James has been having a difficult year with the Los Angeles Lakers. This is mainly because the team around him isn’t very good. While he does have some stars to work with, they don’t have very much synergy. Overall, they are now 25-30, which puts them 13th in the Western Conference. However, they are a long winning streak away from putting themselves comfortably into the postseason. For James, the one silver lining is that he has been very close to surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s longstanding scoring record.

On Tuesday night, James and the Lakers took on the Oklahoma City Thunder at home. With 36 points to go, many felt like LeBron would just wait until Thursday to break the record. Although, it is clear that the legend had much different plans. Throughout the first half of the game, James could be seen heating up, and his rise as the league’s all-time scorer became inevitable. Subsequently, James had a massive third quarter where he scored the 16 points necessary to break the record. All-in-all, it was a truly amazing moment that had fans on their feet.

LeBron Gets His Flowers

Following the record, LeBron received a special message from a whole plethora of famous artists and athletes. As you can see in the clip above, James got praise from the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Rihanna, Shaq, Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, Carmelo Anthony, and even his mother Gloria. Overall, it was a truly touching and heartfelt moment as each person congratulated LeBron on his achievement. After 20 years in the NBA, James has attained what many felt was impossible. Moreover, James has at least two more years to go, which means he is only going to increase his points tally. Consequently, this will make his record that much harder to break.

At this point, you cannot deny just how much of a legend LeBron is. He deserves this record, and we hope that people will begin to give James his flowers. He has been hit with some ridiculous slander over the years, and it is about time he gets his full respect. Let us know what you thought about his record, in the comments section down below.
