Savannah James has been with LeBron since high school. At the time, James was the most hyped-up prospect in the history of the NBA. Overall, he had the weight of the world on his shoulders, and there was no telling whether or not he would truly become a star. In the end, however, he was able to shatter the expectations that were placed on him. James immediately became a superstar in the league, and to this day, he is a top 10 player in the NBA. Although from a historical context, he is more or less top 2, and some would even outright call him the GOAT.

That GOAT case became a whole lot stronger last night as he surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for first all-time in career points. It was a truly spectacular achievement that fans simply could not believe. Heading into last night’s game, James needed 36 more points. Although this is well above his season average, James decided to go for it, and it ultimately paid off. By the third quarter, he had the record, and his family was there to meet him on the court. Drake Trolled Over Congratulatory Video For LeBron James

Drake is being trolled on Twitter for his congratulations message for LeBron James as the NBA legend surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s scoring record. James ended Tuesday night with 38,390 career points. James needed 36 points entering the game to surpass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record. He finished with 38. The feat wasn’t enough to carry the Lakers to a win, as they lost 133-130 to the Thunder.

The video, which also features Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Rihanna, and Kendrick Lamar, played on NBA on TNT after James accomplished the feat. “LeBron, what a legendary night in NBA history,” Drake starts the clip. “You’re breaking the all-time scoring record, and to honor that, I had to come back to the place it all started: Akron, Ohio. Every journey has it’s beginning, and tonight — ” From there, the background is revealed to be a green screen. Drake is actually still in a nightclub in Miami. “I lied,” Drake admits. “I lied to you. I’m actually still at the club in Miami…congrats, brother. Sorry, sorry.”

In response to the accomplishment, James thanked everyone for their support and kind words. “Thank you so much. All your help, all your passion, all your sacrifices that helped me get to this point. And I would never, ever in a million years dreamt this any better than what it’s been tonight. The Lakers player further cemented his status as a GOAT in the league after breaking the record for all-time points. Fans were undoubtedly excited about the feat, not only for James but simply to witness NBA history. Kareem-Abdul Jabbar, who previously held the record, applauded James at the Lakers game for his incredible performance that created a historic moment for the league.

The NBA shared a compilation video afterward of LeBron’s celebrity friends and NBA peers congratulating him. Drake, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Stephen Curry, Snoop Dogg, and many others appeared in the video where they shared congratulatory messages. “I am so grateful to witness this moment in history,” Rihanna stated in the video. However, the Lakers still lost against OKC during Tuesday’s game by 3 points and it appears that 50 Cent lost his bet as a result. “Hard work pays off, work hard but damn I wanted to see them win last night,” 50 wrote alongside a picture of the all-time leading scorer. “They fvcked up my tickets at the sports book. LOL,” he added, though he didn’t reveal how much he bet on the game.

Regardless, 50 Cent’s always shown love to LeBron James over the years. When Julius Erving left LeBron off of his list of all-time top two NBA teams, Fif immediately leaped to James’ defense. He said Erving’s comments “sound like some old hater shit” before vouching for James’ talents. “It takes a lot of work and talent to be @kingjames if that wasn’t true we would have 3 or 4 of him, we only got 1,” 50 wrote in the comment section of his post. When Anthony Davis was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, it was clear that he and LeBron James were the best duo in basketball. Subsequently, in their first season together, LeBron and AD were able to win an NBA championship. Overall, this was an incredible achievement that gave Davis his first title, and LeBron his fourth. In recent years, however, the Lakers have regressed. Davis has dealt with numerous injuries, and there has been this sense that AD could be traded at some point. As for LeBron, he is clearly unhappy with some of the other moves that have been made by the front office.

Yesterday, however, was a much happier day for LeBron and the Lakers franchise. This is because James got to break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s scoring record. The Lakers were playing the Oklahoma City Thunder, and James needed 36 points. Consequently, LeBron was playing with added motivation and he ended up scoring 36 points in just three quarters. However, it is odd that anyone would want to sit down in the midst of greatness. At the end of the day, it just comes across like AD is jealous of what James accomplished.

Shaq and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar are two of the greatest centers to ever play in the NBA. Overall, they are considered to be top five players in the history of the league, although Kareem more so than Shaq. Either way, there is no doubt that these two men are legends in their own right. They both played for the Lakers, and they both won a ton of championships with the franchise. However, there was seemingly this sense that Kareem and Shaq had beef during his time in L.A. It was one of those narratives that could never be confirmed, although it certainly weighed on the big man.

As for Kareem, he was in Los Angeles last night as he watched LeBron try and break his scoring record. James was just 36 points away from the record, and fans were skeptical as to whether or not he would do it. In the end, however, James was able to come through with a special game. LeBron James has been having a difficult year with the Los Angeles Lakers. This is mainly because the team around him isn’t very good. While he does have some stars to work with, they don’t have very much synergy. Overall, they are now 25-30, which puts them 13th in the Western Conference. However, they are a long winning streak away from putting themselves comfortably into the postseason. For James, the one silver lining is that he has been very close to surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s longstanding scoring record.

On Tuesday night, James and the Lakers took on the Oklahoma City Thunder at home. With 36 points to go, many felt like LeBron would just wait until Thursday to break the record. Although, it is clear that the legend had much different plans. Throughout the first half of the game, James could be seen heating up, and his rise as the league’s all-time scorer became inevitable. Subsequently, James had a massive third quarter where he scored the 16 points necessary to break the record. All-in-all, it was a truly amazing moment that had fans on their feet.
