The Weeknd Unveils A Thumping New Single, ‘Open Hearts,’ Via Apple Vision Pro

It was revealed a few days ago that The Weeknd would deliver an “Apple Immersive” experience called “Open Hearts” via the Apple Vision Pro mixed-reality headset platform on November 15. Well, that’s today, so the new song is here.

Currently, the song and video are only officially available via Apple Vision Pro (whether its your own device or one at an Apple store), but fan-made recordings have surfaced online.

The Weeknd sings on the chorus, “Where do I start / When I open my heart? / It’s never easy falling in love again / Cover my scars / When I open my arms / It’s never easy falling in love again / Falling in, falling in love / It’s nеver easy falling in love again / Falling in, falling in love / Falling in love again.”

Apple previously called Apple Immersive Video “a remarkable storytelling format that leverages 3D video recorded in 8K with a 180-degree field of view and Spatial Audio to transport viewers to the center of the action.” Tor Myhren, Apple’s vice president of Marketing Communications, also noted, “Apple Immersive Video is a groundbreaking leap forward for storytelling, offering Apple Vision Pro users remarkable experiences with an unparalleled sense of realism and immersion. […] Apple Immersive Video revolutionizes the way people experience places, stories, sports, and more by making viewers feel like they’re truly there. It’s the next generation of visual storytelling, and we’re excited to bring it to more people around the world.”

The Weeknd Is Teaming With Apple For An ‘Immersive’ Experience Dubbed ‘Open Hearts’

Apple debuted an impressive new piece of technology earlier this year: Apple Vision Pro, a mixed-reality headset. They’re working on bringing some exclusive content to the platform, too, and that includes “Open Hearts,” a collaboration with The Weeknd.

A trailer was shared, and “Open Hearts” is described, “Journey alongside The Weeknd through a surreal, haunting cityscape in this electrifying sonic voyage.”

Currently, “Open Hearts” is scheduled for release via Apple Vision Pro (you can watch on a unit at an Apple Store if you don’t have your own) on November 15.

Apple previously described Apple Immersive Video as “a remarkable storytelling format that leverages 3D video recorded in 8K with a 180-degree field of view and Spatial Audio to transport viewers to the center of the action.” The collaboration with The Weeknd was announced at that time as well, although without specifics.

Tor Myhren, Apple’s vice president of Marketing Communications, also said at the time, “Apple Immersive Video is a groundbreaking leap forward for storytelling, offering Apple Vision Pro users remarkable experiences with an unparalleled sense of realism and immersion. From soaring over volcanoes in Hawaii and surfing huge waves in Tahiti, to enjoying performances by the world’s biggest artists and athletes from all-new perspectives, Apple Immersive Video revolutionizes the way people experience places, stories, sports, and more by making viewers feel like they’re truly there. It’s the next generation of visual storytelling, and we’re excited to bring it to more people around the world.”

Apple Unveils iPhone 16 Pro, Apple Watch Series 10, and Next-Gen AirPods

Apple Unveils iPhone 16 Pro, Apple Watch Series 10, and Next-Gen AirPods

Apple has introduced the iPhone 16 Pro, featuring a Grade 5 titanium design with a refined micro-blasted finish, enhancing both strength and aesthetics. Titanium is known for its impressive strength-to-weight ratio, making the iPhone 16 Pro remarkably strong and lightweight. This model promises to turn heads and is available in four stunning colors, including the new Desert Titanium.

Internally, the iPhone 16 Pro boasts a 100 percent recycled aluminum thermal substructure and optimized back glass, enhancing heat dissipation. This upgrade leads to up to 20 percent better sustained performance than the iPhone 15 Pro, making it ideal for activities like high-intensity gaming. The new display technology routes data under active pixels without distortion, resulting in thinner borders and more expansive 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR displays that feel great in hand.

Built with durability, the iPhone 16 Pro is splash, water, and dust resistant. It features Apple’s latest-generation Ceramic Shield, twice as tough as any other smartphone glass. The phone is also designed for Apple Intelligence, a personal intelligence system that provides groundbreaking privacy protections to ensure data security.

Apple also marked a milestone with the Apple Watch Series 10, featuring the most prominent and most advanced display ever in an Apple Watch. With a first-of-its-kind wide-angle OLED display, the screen is brighter and more readable from different angles. The Series 10 is Apple’s thinnest watch yet, re-engineered with innovations across its SiP, Digital Crown, speaker, front crystal, and antenna. It offers up to 75% more screen area than Series 3 and 30% more than Series 4, 5, 6, and SE, allowing users to see and interact more than ever before.

The Apple Watch Ultra 2 features a new black titanium case packed with advanced connectivity, health, and safety features for those seeking a rugged option. It also includes the most accurate GPS in a sports watch, which is ideal for athletes and adventurers.

Apple’s audio lineup has also seen significant updates. The AirPods 4 now feature Active Noise Cancellation in an open-ear design for the first time, powered by the H2 chip and enhanced microphones. This design reduces low-frequency environmental noise, such as airplane engines and city traffic, before it reaches your ears. AirPods 4 introduces Adaptive Audio, which seamlessly blends Transparency and Active Noise Cancellation in real time, adapting to your environment. Transparency mode allows you to stay connected to your surroundings, perfect for conversations or listening to music while remaining aware.

AirPods Max, meanwhile, delivers an unparalleled listening experience with stunningly detailed, high-fidelity audio. Personalized Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking provides a theater-like experience. At the same time, Adaptive EQ adjusts the sound based on the ear cushion fit, ensuring every note is clear and rich. The Pro-level Active Noise Cancellation doubles the noise reduction, allowing for deeper immersion in music or podcasts.

With these new devices, Apple continues to set the bar higher in technology, design, and user experience, offering innovations catering to various needs and preferences.

Flying Lotus Is Responsible For Creating Two Popular Apple Ringtones Introduced With iOS 13

Flying Lotus has been in your pocket for years.

On Wednesday, August 14, the Twenty Thousand Hertz podcast released its “The Sound Of Apple 2.0” episode, which revealed that Flying Lotus had created two Apple ringtones released with the iOS 13 update in September 2019. On Wednesday, August 21, Flying Lotus reposted on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “Apple leaked it so I can say it. I wrote some ringtones that have been in ur iPhone since ios13. ‘Daybreak’ + ‘Chalet.’”

Four-plus minutes into the Twenty Thousand Hertz episode, FlyLo broke down how he came to produce “Daybreak” and “Chalet” for Apple.

“At first, I didn’t know how to feel. I was like, ‘What? They want me to be a ringtone maker now? What is that all about?’” the Grammy-winning artist said. “The one thing that was in my benefit was that I actually had made ringtones for myself before. So, I kind of feel like I knew what was pleasing to hear as a loop, over and over and over and over and over again. Something that alerts you, but isn’t abrasive. Something that’s musical, but isn’t cheesy. Just finding that balance where it’s a bit ambient, but also something that cuts through.”

Flying Lotus added, “It’s nice to have these tones that I can associate with people who give me this warm feeling and this nostalgic feeling. If my girl calls me, and I hear the ‘Chalet’ ringtone, it’s like, ‘Awww.’ There’s something really nice about it.”

Elon Musk Is Ready To Ban Apple Products From His Companies

Elon Musk says he plans to ban all Apple products from his companies after they announced a partnership with OpenAI at WWDC 2024, earlier this week. When CEO Tim Cook shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), Musk weighed in with serious criticism of the move.

“Don’t want it. Either stop this creepy spyware or all Apple devices will be banned from the premises of my companies,” he wrote at first. He added: “If Apple integrates OpenAI at the OS level, then Apple devices will be banned at my companies. That is an unacceptable security violation. And visitors will have to check their Apple devices at the door, where they will be stored in a Faraday cage.” From there, he ranted: “It’s patently absurd that Apple isn’t smart enough to make their own AI, yet is somehow capable of ensuring that OpenAI will protect your security & privacy! Apple has no clue what’s actually going on once they hand your data over to OpenAI. They’re selling you down the river.”

The Weeknd Seemingly Teases Collaboration With Apple

The Weeknd appears to have something in the works with Apple after sharing a picture of framed photos of the company’s logo on his Instagram Story on Saturday. It would stand to reason that he took the picture at the company’s headquarters. He didn’t elaborate much with his caption for the post, only adding three emojis: the eyes emoji, the music notes emoji, and the film camera emoji.

The Weeknd has been teasing having another album in store for years at this point. In 2022, he revealed that his previous two projects, After Hours and DawnFM, were part of a trilogy. Additionally, he shared the cover art for both of those albums followed by a question mark on Instagram, earlier this year. In the caption, he only wrote the number three.

He recently made an appearance on Metro Boomin and Future’s collaborative album, We Still Don’t Trust You. Speaking with Spotify’s RapCaviar after its release, Metro revealed that he also contributed production for an upcoming album from The Weeknd.  “Me and him working on a lot of stuff. Usher And Apple Drop Super Bowl Documentary

Despite the halftime show crystalizing his image as one of the biggest superstars in all of music, Usher still lamented a decades old snub in a recent interview. He explained that he still feels slighted by his landmark album Confessions failing to win the Album of The Year Grammy. It was part of a stacked category that included Kanye West’s landmark debut The College Dropout, Green Day’s punk-rock epic American Idiot, and Alicia Keys’ The Diary Of Alicia Keys. All of those albums ended up losing to Genius Loves Company, the posthumously released final album from Ray Charles.

One person who wasn’t at the Super Bowl that fans were expecting was Justin Bieber. In another recent interview Usher explained how his appearance fell through but promised that the pair have something else coming soon. What do you think of Usher giving fans a peek at how his Super Bowl Halftime show came together? Where do you think his Halftime show ranks among the best of all time? Soulja Boy Hilariously Discovers That Apple Vision Pro Supports Adult Content

Soulja Boy’s new toy, the Apple Vision Pro, is quickly turning him into a fan of virtual and augmented reality. Moreover, he recently went live on Instagram to mess around with it for his viewers’ pleasure, and some fans might not have wanted to see him discover adult content on the piece of tech. Alas, that’s exactly what the Swag 6 rapper did. “‘Imagine watching p*rn on this joint,’” he laughed at a fan’s comment on the IG Live. “Yo, all your whole photo albums come on here. So imagine the flicks you got in your phone, I was just watching that s**t in 3D like, ‘Oh my God!’

“Yo, all your photo albums is right away, it’s like an iPhone,” Soulja Bou continued. “Hold on, y’all can’t see what I’m looking at, right? Hold on. Woah, turn it off, turn it off! Chat, when y’all get this s**t, whatever flicks y’all got on y’all phone, y’all gotta watch that s**t on the Apple Vision. I’m telling you! This look 3D. Nah, this s**t is cr*zy, this s**t is cr*zy. Take a picture of these, man. They laughing. Nah, I just watched a flick on this joint. I’m talking about, this s**t was 3D.

Soulja Boy Gets Lewd On Apple Vision Pro

“You can make this s**t fullscreen, I had the whole flick covering the whole room,” Soulja Boy went on. “All you could see was me on that going cr*zy! *laughs* Nah, this s**t look cr*zy. They laughing at me, that’s funny. Nah, this s**t is f***ing cr*zy, bro, what the f**k?” Of course, this is just one of many antics he’s been caught up in recently. The 33-year-old was much more light this time, though, because last time, he had to apologize to Chrisean Rock for insinuating her baby has Down syndrome.

As such, we can’t really predict what the “25 Drop” MC will do next on social media. Maybe he will try to discover more ridiculous or notable things to do with the Apple Vision Pro. We’ll see what else social media holds in store, and we’re sure that we’ll get the answer to that very soon considering Soulja Boy’s personality. T-Pain Loves His Apple Vision Pro Goggles

In the latest episode of T-Pain’s social media rants, the two-time Grammy winner is taking the virtual reality world by storm. And he’s not afraid to make it known. T-Pain has become an unabashed advocate for Apple’s latest offering, the Vision Pro, and he’s not just casually endorsing it. He’s wearing it everywhere he goes. In a hilarious and unapologetic Instagram video shared this week, T-Pain walks through an airport, proudly flaunting his Apple Vision Pro goggles. With a touch of humor, he ridicules the mundane and lackluster reality surrounding him. He contrasts it with the vibrant, immersive experience provided by the VR goggles.

“Y’all thought y’all was gonna leave me in this mundane, bad graphics having-ass, boring, no-color having-ass reality?” T-Pain declares. “You’re sadly mistaken. I’m calling the cops because you fit the description of a hater.” The Grammy-winning artist leaves no room for doubt. He’s not about to be left behind in a world that doesn’t match up to the vivid, dynamic alternate reality offered by the Apple Vision Pro. As he boldly states, “I’m gone forever, I’m wearing this bitch everywhere. It’s over.”

T-Pain takes a playful jab at the demise of Google Glass, recounting how skeptics once shut down the futuristic glasses with a “Dragon Ball Z” thing on the side. In his eyes, history is repeating itself. And he won’t let the opportunity slip away this time. The humor and charisma with which he delivers his message emphasize the conviction behind his newfound love for the Apple Vision Pro.

As T-Pain stands firmly on the frontlines of the virtual reality revolution, he showcases his tech-savvy side. In addition, he also champions a product that has apparently captivated him to the point of declaring war on the ordinary. For T-Pain, it’s not just about embracing innovation. It’s about reshaping the narrative and ensuring he’s at the forefront of the next big thing – the Apple Vision Pro.
