Post Malone Announces New Album “Austin”

Posty season is now in full effect. Moreover, Post Malone just took to Instagram to share a candid video with fans, which contained a special announcement. His next album Austin is set to release this summer on July 28. Not only that, but the artist also let fans know that his next single “Mourning” is scheduled for release this Friday, May 19. In his message, the 27-year-old hinted at a different artistic direction for his next endeavor. His last album Twelve Carat Toothache and previous projects already dabbled with that, so it’ll be exciting to see how much farther he goes.

“Hey guys, what’s going on?” Post Malone began his Instagram video. “It’s Posty. I wanted to say that I love you guys so very f***in’ much. I’m here on tour in Europe right now. And I wanted to tell you guys that I have an album coming out this summer on July 28th. It’s called ‘Austin,’ like my name. That is my name. It’s been some of the funnest music, some of the most challenging and rewarding music for me, at least.

“But I’m super excited for you guys to hear it and I love you guys so very much,” he concluded. “You know, I hope you guys just keep f***in’ being amazing and keep spreading love and just keep being yourself and I f***in’ love y’all, man. Lil Durk Announces New Album “Almost Healed” Releasing Next Week

It’s officially Smurk season. Lil Durk just announced that his next album Almost Healed will release next week on May 12. Via Instagram, he shared the news with excited fans by sharing the cover art and release date, keeping his word. Moreover, the Chicago MC promised to do so if fans left 100K comments on a post promoting his upcoming music video with J. Cole. As such, fans responded rabidly and eventually reached the milestone, and Durk delivered just a few days later. Given just how much he teased this album’s arrival, his supporters must be ecstatic that it’s coming so soon after these updates.

Furthermore, Lil Durk said that the album was finished just a couple of weeks ago in April. However, one thing that remains to be seen is if he landed one of his dream features: SZA. “@sza the goat,” he wrote on his Instagram Story. “Y’all bet not sleep or get blind. Every female every car every sale she really her… I need you on my album ASAP [trophy emoji and sunglasses emoji]. A hit not a regular song. Go tag sza blow her s**t down. Tell her Smurk need her.”

Lil Durk Announces Almost Healed

What’s more is that The Voice recently reflected on how therapy has helped him a lot in his personal life. We’ll see if such reflections find their way on Almost Healed‘s tracklist, whose title certainly points to that. “Being more open,” Lil Durk remarked on how the process has uplifted him. “Being more open to letting [my new manager] Pete [Jideonwo] in. Moving certain people out the way. That’s the best feeling. Therapy, the kids, the new team, all that. But the best feeling is really just starting over.

“I got a therapist so I cope different,” he continued. “I don’t show emotion. So, some people will be like, ‘Man, you can’t hold it in.’ And I just can’t talk to nobody usually. You gotta be careful how you tell people, what you tell people, because they can use it against you. They can find out your weaknesses. So now, when I talk to the therapist, then it start getting more emotional. But like somebody on the street, you’ll never even see me shed a tear. I think I had to go to therapy fresh out the womb.” Let us know if you’re excited for Almost Healed down in the comments below. Missy Elliott, DJ Kool Herc, & More Inducted Into Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame

Missy Elliott, DJ Kool Herc, and more artists have made it into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2023. The organization announced the full list of artists that will be joining the hall on Wednesday. More artists voted into the hall include Kate Bush, Rage Against the Machine, Chaka Khan, Sheryl Crow, Willie Nelson, George Michael, and the Spinners, among others.

“This year’s incredible group of inductees reflects the diverse artists and sounds that define rock & roll,” said John Sykes, chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation. “We are honored that this November’s Induction Ceremony in New York will coincide with two milestones in music culture; the 90th birthday of Willie Nelson and the 50th Anniversary of the birth of hip-hop.”

Missy Elliott enters the hall during her first time being on the ballot. Sykes notes that it’s a sign of the power of hip-hop at the moment, referencing the recent inductions of JAY-Z and Eminem. “Missy Elliott got in first ballot, just like Eminem got in first ballot last year and JAY-Z the year before. So if there’s a throughline we’re seeing,” Sykes said. “It shows the power of hip-hop music culture now, as if we didn’t know it already, as far as how quickly these artists are being recognized on the first ballot.” Elliott is also the only artist in the class to make it in her first year of eligibility. It was, however, Crow and Michael’s first year on the ballot as well.

Missy Elliott joins a long list of legendary hip-hop artists already in the hall. Among them are Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Run-D.M.C., Beastie Boys, Public Enemy, N.W.A, 2Pac, The Notorious B.I.G., LL Cool J, and more. The 38th annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on November 3 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. The hall’s contract with HBO has expired and it’s unclear who their media partner will be for the event.

Zaytoven Reveals “Beast Mode 3” With Future Is On The Way

It looks like the Met Gala isn’t the only exciting thing happening today. Moreover, Zaytoven just took to Twitter to drop a trailer for the third installment in his collaborative album series with Future, Beast Mode 3. During the trailer, both Zay and Hendrix talk about the sound that they helped popularize, their work ethic, and what it means to go “beast mode.” Not only that, but the duo’s next album’s trailer also features a few other figures in the rap game through brief appearances. For example, in a surprising but welcome link-up, Tyler, The Creator gives Future some words of admiration near the clip’s end.

Of course, fans took this trailer with a grain of salt, as Zaytoven originally teased Beast Mode 3 back in September of 2019. However, with a trailer to boot, many hope that this official push means the album is finally coming soon. In addition, the producer also quote-tweeted a post from Lyrical Lemonade asking what the best album of the year was so far. In that message, he dismissed the competition and said that his next project with Future will dominate. “No way 2023 Is this dry…” he remarked of the highlighted albums. These included Don Toliver’s Love Sick, Yeat’s AftërLyfe, Jack Harlow’s Jackman, and Lil Yachty’s Let’s Start Here. “Wait till my shit drop… [bald eagle emoji] x [piano emoji] 3 OTW.”

Future’s Beast Mode 3 Coming Soon

To elaborate, fans also raised eyebrows just because of how many projects Future’s rumored to be involved in. For example, another prominent producer that teased a joint tape with the “Superhero” MC is Metro Boomin, who also said they will release it this year. Still, Pluto is quite the prolific artist and often tapped his closest production collaborators for full-length work together. As such, Zaytoven is just fanning the flames of speculation, but the trailer gave fans a lot of confidence in Zay.

Meanwhile, Zaytoven recently sold his music catalog and hinted at new music on the way. With that in mind, his promise of Beast Mode 3 is that much more believable. Hopefully these two Atlanta giants feed fans once again sooner rather than later. With that in mind, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Zaytoven, Future, and Beast Mode 3.

Jackman will be Harlow’s first album since his 2022 effort, Come Home the Kids Miss You. That album featured guest appearances from Pharrell Williams, Drake, Justin Timberlake, and Lil Wayne. He also teamed up with a star-studded group of producers including Williams as well as Rogét Chahayed, Charlie Handsome, FnZ, Boi-1da, JetsonMade, Oz, and Timbaland. Come Home the Kids Miss You debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200, earning 113,000 album-equivalent units in the first week. Furthering its commercial performance, the second single, “First Class,” reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100. It was his second song to do so after his collaboration with Lil Nas X on “Industry Baby” in 2021.

Outside of the upcoming album, Jack Harlow is also set to make his acting debut this year with his starring role in the White Men Can’t Jump remake. Harlow stars in the role originally played by Woody Harrelson while Sinqua Walls will be taking over Wesley Snipes’ role. The two will appear alongside Teyana Taylor, Laura Harrier, Vince Staples, Myles Bullock, and Lance Reddick. The film is set to release on May 19. The first official trailer for the movie debuted, last week, to mixed responses from fans. Check out the announcement for Harlow’s new album below.

Metro Boomin Confirms Future Collab Album Is On The Way

Metro Boomin says that his collaborative album with Future is on the way, following their performance at Coachella over the weekend. The iconic producer made the announcement in a post on Instagram, Tuesday afternoon. The two most recently worked together on Future’s Heroes & Villains album from last December. They previously teamed up for “Mask Off,” “Jumpman,” “Thought It Was a Drought,” and many more over the last 10 years.

“After a 10+ year journey it was surreal to perform @coachella in front of 20k+ with my brother @future Metro Pluto album otw #TROCHELLA,” he wrote with several fire emojis. There were many positive comments shared in response. Quavo wrote, “Well Deserved,” while many other fans expressed their excitement for the collaboration.

Metro previously spoke about the upcoming project during an interview with FLAUNT, last month. “Definitely. I would bet on it,” he said, when asked if the album will drop this year. “I would definitely bet on it.” Speaking more broadly about his friendship with Future, he added: “Oh, that was fire. You know, Pluto, that’s my brother. We’ve been at it for a long time. This whole superhero moment, it’s like the beginning of our phase two. We haven’t had a song out since ‘Mask Off,’ they’ve been on our heads. With this, and then the whole State Farm thing, it’s starting to slowly put people on notice: we crankin’ that shit back up too.”

Despite their close working relationship, Metro was left off Future’s prior effort, 2022’s I NEVER LIKED YOU. When asked about the move by Ebro Darden, Metro explained that just doing one or two songs in the wake of their hit, “Mask Off,” wouldn’t be enough. It’d have to be an entire project. He said at the time: “I was like, ‘Look, the last time anybody’s really heard a song from me and you was ‘Mask Off.’ So instead of us randomly throwing one or two songs we did on here, we got to wait and just give them a joint.’”
