Chief Keef Previews “Almighty So 2” With A New Banger “Drifting Away”

Chief Keef is easily one of the most beloved artists from the 2010s. Overall, he dominated the Chicago music scene in the early 2010s thanks to his run of hit viral songs. Subsequently, he went on to become a prolific mixtape artist who has plenty of bangers to his name. One of his most iconic projects is Almighty So. For years, fans have been waiting for the sequel, and finally, they are getting it. On Friday, Almighty So 2 will be released to the masses after months of delays and pump fakes.

With this new album dropping in less than 12 hours from now, Keef decided to come through and drop a banger to get his fans excited. Below, you can find the new track “Drifting Away.” With the female vocal sample all the way throughout the track, fans are going to be reminded of “Save Me,” which has that iconic Katy Perry flip. That said, this song manages to stand on its own thanks to some incredible production and flows from Chief Keef that are going to have fans excited for what could be one of the best releases of the entire year.

When Will Chief Keef’s New Album ‘Almighty So 2’ Be On Apple Music?

When we last heard about Chief Keef’s fifth studio album, Almighty So 2, the “I Don’t Like” rapper was aiming for a spring 2023 release date. However, Keef clearly felt that the album still wasn’t quite ready — despite having been in the works for nearly five years at the time — and again delayed the release. This week, though, he not only gave fans a solid release date, but he also announced it with a dramatic trailer, which you can watch above. So, when can you finally give Almighty So 2 a stream on Apple Music (or the DSP of your choice)?

Well, Almighty So 2 is due on Friday, May 10 via Keef’s independent label 43B. That means it will most likely be available to stream at midnight Eastern (9 PM Pacific). One of the benefits of being independent means that Keef has more flexibility to set release dates — hence the long wait for the album’s release — but it also means that the veteran rapper has dotted all his “i”s and crossed all his “t”s if he’s finally determined the album is ready to put out.

Almighty So 2 is due on 5/10 and will feature G Herbo, Lil Gnar, Quavo, Sexyy Red, and Tierra Whack, with production from Mike Will Made It. You can find more info here.

When Will Chief Keef’s New Album ‘Almighty So 2’ Be On Spotify?

Despite his awe-inspiring productivity in releasing mixtapes, Chief Keef apparently hasn’t released an official album since 2021’s 4NEM. This Friday, May 10, Keef will release his fifth studio album, Almighty So 2, a project he’s been working on since 2019. After years of false starts and promising updates, Keef announced the official release date early this week with the above trailer, revealing that the album will feature G Herbo, Lil Gnar, Quavo, Sexyy Red, and Tierra Whack, with production from Mike Will Made It. So when will Almighty So 2 be available to stream on services like Apple Music, Spotify, and Tidal?

The usual drill for streaming releases (heh) is that they will appear on DSPs at midnight ET (9 PM Pacific), although not every streaming service updates its home page right away. You’re likely best off waiting until that time, then searching the artist or album name directly. While Almighty So 2 has taken nearly five years to complete, Chief Keef is a veteran of the independent music scene (at just 28 years old, no less), so he’s likely got his ducks in a row and won’t be plagued by the sort of release issues that have haunted Keef’s fellow Chicagoan Kanye West.

Almighty So 2 is due on 5/10 via 43B. You can get more info here.

Chief Keef Shares “Almighty So 2” Trailer Ahead Of Long-Awaited Release

Chief Keef has shared a trailer for his highly-anticipated new album, Almighty So 2, which appears to finally be dropping on Friday following several delays. In the video, the Chicago rapper approaches an altar while music seemingly from the album plays in the background. According to an Apple Music pre-save page, the project will include 17 songs and hit streaming platforms on Friday, May 10.

Fans on Reddit shared their excitement in response to the news. “I’m actually really hyped,” one user wrote. “I haven’t listened to chief keef in a loonnnggg time besides some of the classics here and there.” Another added: “This and the rumors of a Future mixtape dropping on the same day, is this 2024 or 2014 lol.” Future announced he’s dropping a mixtape on May 10th on Twitter, Tuesday night. “F*ck yo album Sh*t ain’t slappin like my MIXTAPE,” he wrote in part.

Almighty So 2 will feature collaborations with Quavo, Sexyy Red, Lil Gnar, G Herbo, and Tierra Whack. It’ll be the fourth time Keef has teamed up with Sexyy Red. Speaking with Billboard for an interview earlier this year, he said of their partnership: “I just know she f**k with me real heavy. I f**k with her, too. [She was] saying she wants to come through and I said, ‘Hell f**king yeah.’ You can really just tell she comes from where we come from.” Check out the trailer for Almighty So 2 below.

Chief Keef’s “Almighty So 2” Might Drop This Friday… Yet Again

We’re not uploading an old article on accident, nor should you be concerned by the deja vu you’re feeling: this has just been an unfortunately regular occurrence. It was recently announced on social media that Chief Keef’s long-awaited project Almighty So 2 is dropping this Friday (May 10), which has fans feeling skeptical. Outlets backed up this new claim with what seems to be an Apple Music pre-save tracklist featuring Ballout, G Herbo, Lil Gnar, Tierra Whack, Sexyy Red, and Quavo. The DIRTY NACHOS rapper already dropped that mixtape earlier this year, but there’s even more material on the way.

Or is there? A lot of hardcore Chief Keef fans and rap listeners alike pointed out that Almighty So 2 has been marred with delay after delay, so much so that many won’t believe it until they see it. Somebody hold our liquor, because he really turned into a different version of Kanye West, Playboi Carti, and other notorious non-droppers in the hip-hop game. We don’t know for sure what caused these pushbacks, but regardless, this Friday represents a big chance for everyone to rejoice and finally get this albatross off our necks. Or for massive disappointment… Who knows?

Chief Keef’s Alleged Almighty So 2 Tracklist & Release Date

Elsewhere, Chief Keef is looking to return to a Chicago stage for the first time in a decade to perform at Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash this year. We’re sure that with a whole lot of new material (assuming that Almighty So 2 actually comes out), fans will have a lot of fresh cuts and classics to enjoy if nothing happens with the performance. Tickets are still available on their website if you want to attend. Otherwise, we’re sure the Internet will keep us updated with some FOMO clips.

Chief Keef is also firmly on the Sexyy Red train, as the two seem to have developed a strong artistic bond as of late. With some collaborations under their belt, public appearances, and on-stream phone calls, it seems like a great dynamic duo for some grimy bangers. They’ll apparently collaborate once more if Almighty So 2 drops this week, which is pretty exciting. But history shows us that all we can do is wait until we actually see it for ourselves.

Chief Keef & Mike Will Made-It Craft A Banger With “Dirty Nachos”

Chief Keef has been teasing his fans with a new album called Almighty So 2 for a while now. However, the album has been delayed numerous times. Overall, fans are starting to run out of patience. In fact, there are some who believe the album is actually just never going to come out. This is a similar phenomenon to what is happening with Playboi Carti. After he dropped off five singles, no one actually believes that he is an album on the way. In the case of Chief Keef, it seems like he is looking to quell any fears.

A couple of weeks ago, it was revealed that Keef would be dropping a new song today. That song would be called “Dirty Nachos.” Luckily, Keef made good on his promise as the song found its way to YouTube this morning. It is produced by Mike Will Made-It, so you can imagine that it is, indeed, a banger. The video for the song can be found below, and it is just as high-octane as the track itself. After all, Keef is known for his high energy bangers, and “Dirty Nachos” serves as the perfect lead single for his upcoming project.

Chief Keef Readies His New Album

Throughout the track, we get muddy 808s and villainous soundscapes that hang in the back. As for Keef, his flow is on point as he delivers braggadocios bars that are worthy of numerous listens. Since arriving on the scene in the early 2010s, Keef has not skipped a beat. While he has gone through sonic evolutions, he still has the same energy and gusto he came into the game with, and this song serves as a reminder of that. Overall, you cannot go wrong by starting off your Thursday with some Keef.

Let us know what you think of this new Chief Keef song, in the comments section down below. How excited are you for Almight So 2? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the music world. We will always be sure to keep you informed on all of your favorite artists and their upcoming projects.

Chief Keef Announces “Hot Cheetos” Single For “Almighty So 2,” Fans Tired Of Constant Delays

There is a notorious bunch of rappers who are inconsistent when it comes to delivering on their album promises. Chicago’s Chief Keef is unfortunately in that group. While he is a highly respected and influential figure in the modern history of the genre, that is not enough for fans to excuse his shortcomings. In the 28-year-old’s case, die-hard listeners of his continue to impatiently wait for Almighty So 2.

People have been sitting around dying to hear what he has to offer on the sequel, but alas, it still is not here. If and when it does drop this year, Almighty So 2 will follow up on its predecessor nearly 11 years later. We say this year because Amazon Music and Genius have it slated for a release date in 2024. According to them, the project will be out on March 29. However, it is worth noting that Keef has not confirmed that. But, in addition to that news, the hitmaker has announced a single called “Hot Cheetos.”

The single will hit streaming on February 8 and we also have the cover art for it. Let us just say it is… interesting. It lives up to the title of the song, but Keef has fans questioning it. One says, “that cover is actually horrid.” Another adds, “Second picture is vile.” In addition to roasting the art, people are continuing to grow tired of the single announcements and want an album drop date. “Where’s the f*****g album,” someone says. “Imagine Carti, Kanye, and Chief Keef actually dropping,” adds another. Time will tell, but fans have something to look forward to at least?

What are your thoughts on Chief Keef announcing a new single for his highly-awaited LP Almighty So 2? Is the cover for “Hot Cheetos” one of the worst pieces of artwork you have ever seen for a song? Chief Keef Urges Drake To Send In The Vocals

The wait for Chief Keef’s new album is real right now. Over the past few months, he’s quietly pushed back the release of his album, Almighty So 2 on numerous occasions. It’s still unclear why he hasn’t dropped the project yet but it looks like he’s waiting on finalizing the tracklist. Usually, when these type of delays occurs, it means that an artist is waiting on clearance, whether for samples or features. With an October 13th release date set, per Apple Music, it looks like he’s currently waiting on one feature from one of the biggest artists in the world.

Drake looks like he might be on Chief Keef’s upcoming album. Over the weekend, Drake shared a photo dump on his Instagram page where he showed love to Young Thug. The rapper showed off a “STOP RICO” hoodie that included the cover art of Young Thug’s Jeffrey. However, Chief Keef slid under the photo to ensure that Drake came through with the vocals. Channeling the spirit of DJ Khaled, he wrote, “Don’t forget them vocals crody” in the comment section of Drake’s post.

Drake & Chief Keef Cook Up

Although the two haven’t worked together directly, they have shown love to each other in the past. During the Club Paradise tour, Drake and Waka Flocka brought Chief Keef out onto the stage to perform his breakout record, “Don’t Like” for an iconic moment. While the two never locked in new music together, Drake worked alongside Chief Keef’s associate, Lil Reese, on the “Us (Remix)” alongside Rick Ross. Drake and Chief Keef’s collaboration certainly feels long overdue.

Meanwhile, Drake’s currently cooking up his forthcoming project, For All The Dogs. Originally rumored to drop before the It’s All A Blur tour, the rapper shared a handful of updates in recent weeks. However, he’s yet to set a release date for the project. We still have hope that it might drop before his tour comes to an end. However, we wouldn’t be mad if he also comes through with buzzer beater ahead of the AOTY lists emerge. Check out Chief Keef’s comments above and let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Chief Keef’s New Album “Almighty So 2” Delayed Again To October

Chief Keef’s Almighty So 2 has been in the works for years at this point, and it seems continuously unlucky at every turn. Moreover, as per the release page on Apple Music, Sosa’s new project was once again delayed, this time to October 13 of this year. While this makes for a fitting Halloween-season Friday the 13th drop, it surely disappointed many fans who wanted the project to arrive as soon as possible. For those unaware, this is a sequel to the Chicago legend’s 2013 mixtape, which remains a fan-favorite among his die-hard group of followers. In addition, we have no details as to why these delays happened, leading many to speculate on sample clearance issues, final mixes, or other possible factors.

In fact, rumors indicate that Chief Keef finished this project back in 2018, and that it’s been in limbo ever since. At first, the Glo Gang leader and his team announced a December 16 release date… last year. Then, it was delayed to January 20, then April 14, and now we have this latest release update. While the 27-year-old dropped a few projects and singles in the meantime, Almighty So 2 is becoming mythical at this point.

Chief Keef’s Almighty So 2 Delayed… Again

Still, Chief Keef seems as intent as ever to drop it and hype up its eventual release to his adoring fans. For example, he recently took to social media to show off his new Lamborghini, and the flex didn’t come without a vague but promising update on his next project. “Almighty So 2 OTW!!! We celebrating,” he wrote as the post’s caption, which was almost two months ago. This led many to believe that it would release promptly, but clearly something happened along the way that once again changed plans.

Even though it hasn’t been an absolute drought from the drill pioneer, it’s understandable that this release would get this much anticipation behind it. There’s nothing like a sequel to a cult classic, especially one with such a mysterious, long, and teased release history. All we can hope for is that the stars align perfectly for that Friday the 13th release date, since that just sounds too perfect to be true. Regardless, stay logged into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Chief Keef and Almighty So 2.

Chief Keef Shows Off New Lamborghini, Says “Almighty So 2” Is On The Way

Almighty So is a fan-favorite mixtape amongst Chief Keef’s followers. While the 2013 release initially did poorly, receiving a 44/100 from HotNewHipHop, it has earned a cult status among diehard fans. Furthermore, it has been noted for the influence it has had on trap artists who grew up with Keef’s work at the time. Of course, Keef has never been an artist that has earned mainstream success from his work. His highest-peaking album was his debut release, Finally Rich, which hit #29 in 2012. Despite this, he has a deep and dedicated fanbase.

But somehow, he managed to bury the lead about his upcoming release. Posting a video flexing his purchase of a new Lamborghini, fans were quick to notice the text at the bottom of the video. “Almighty So 2 OTW!!! We celebrating”. Keef hasn’t released an album or mixtape since 2021’s 4NEM, which peaked at #141 on the Billboard charts. The Lamborghini appears to be a gorgeous white can but for real, who is paying attention to the car in this case?

Fans seemed pretty happy about the impending news. “Almighty So 2 gon be album of the year,” one fan wrote. “How much almighty so doing first week ?” asked another. As mentioned, despite the critical and financial reception, Almighty So is well-regarded amongst his fans. Only one of Keef’s mixtapes, 2019’s GloToven, has ever broken into the charts. Almighty So 2 has been known about for a while but has been delayed a number of times.

However, other people were slightly more distracted by the video itself. “Camera quality deep fried,” noted one commentator, referring to the incredibly washed-out video quality present. “Why are they still filming shit like if it’s 2016,” adds another. In a similar vein, a third commenter adds that “The camera quality reminds me of 2016”. The jokes continued as another individual adds that the cameraman “Used that 2006 nokia brick”.
