Yesterday (August 5), the New York Post shared video of a shouting match, between Cardi B and another woman, outside of a New York City apartment complex. As XXL notes, the dispute appeared to be over the woman taking photos of Cardi and her associates. At one point, Cardi says, “You were harassing them, though. You touched their car! I saw you! I’m recording you, b*tch. I’ll f*ck you up, for real!”

Later, on X (formerly Twitter), Cardi added, “Btches trying to be funny and make this something it’s not but I don’t care. I don’t like when people think they can bully people for no reason.. like how you gonna do all that yelling, hit their car, AND call the cops all because they taking pictures in front of a building?!

She then shared the video of the incident she filmed herself and wrote, “Why y’all trying to make me sound bad?? This was July 28th and I was defending them but ok [crying laughing emojis].”

Cardi also retweeted a post offering an explanation of the situation. It says, “In a video dated July 28th, Cardi B is seen shouting for a white woman to leave two black women alone as the woman hits their car and yells at them calling them various racially charged expletives for simply taking pictures outside of her building. Somehow, various popular social media pages took one video of the incident and began to spread a narrative that Cardi was simply ‘angry’ and ‘crashing out,’ with some even going as far as trying to tie it to her recent divorce announcement (which didn’t even happen until after this incident).”

Murder Inc founder and producer (for acts like Ashanti and Ja Rule), Irv Gotti is reportedly ready to battle it out in a court of law.

On July 11, Irv Gotti (real name Irving Domingo Lorenzo) was named in a sexual assault lawsuit. In the Miami court documents, an alleged former love interest (only referred to as Jane Doe) accused Lorenzo of forcing her to perform oral sex on him, among other things. Now, a representative for the mogul has come out to deny the allegations and suggest a countersuit could be on the way.

In a statement provided to TMZ, the spokesperson rejected Doe’s claims and alleged that Lorenzo was being extorted. Read the full statement below.

[The lawsuit] was filed after Mr. Gotti rejected the attempt by this individual to coerce a payment of money from him. The lawsuit contains a single page of ‘facts’ which are unsworn to, sparse by any measure, and which Mr. Gotti categorically denies.

The allegations represent an affront to women who have truly suffered abuse. Mr. Gotti has been surrounded by strong women the entirety of his life – his mother, five sisters, and daughter. The top employees at his company are women. Mr. Gotti’s relationships with women have been characterized by mutual respect, honesty, and empathy. Mr. Gotti’s reputation has been placed at issue.

The represent also hinted that Irv Gotti was considering taking legal actions of his own—by filing a countersuit for defamation.

New beef alert: Cardi B is not particularly pleased with Joe Budden right now.

Recently, Budden spoke about the long-awaited follow-up to Cardi’s 2018 album Invasion Of Privacy, saying, “We’ll never get another Cardi album again. I am standing on it. Cardi got something dropping with my man Rob[49], big Rob, on Friday. That’s going to be crazy, but that’s what Cardi’s about to be now: just a single artist.” He added, “I’m sure Offset wants Cardi to put out an album. Hey, fellas out there, boyfriends: y’all know that feeling, right? When you want your b*tch to get a job. You in the house, your b*tch just won’t leave.”

In an X Spaces broadcast yesterday (July 18), Cardi responded, saying (as Billboard notes), “Bro, I gave you a lap dance two times in Starlets. You was high as f*ck. High as f*ck on coke, n****. […] I don’t give a f*ck when people talk sh*t about me. It’s the fact you always talk sh*t about me, Joe Budden. Out of nowhere, you would think I did something to this n****. […] For the past two years, this n**** has only talked bad things about me.”

She later added, “You really want my album to come out so you can criticize it, ’cause every time I drop something, you don’t like it. Every single time a b*tch drops something and they doing mediocre, you say they doing better than me. […] What are you talking about? The sh*t is in motion. Merch is in motion, the box sets is in motion. You don’t know sh*t.”

Detroit rapper Veeze and Alabama rapper Rylo Rodriguez have a promising 2024 year ahead of them, and their new collaboration “F*cked A Fan” is a great sign of what’s to come. The duo originally teased the track back in February and it was met with immediate praise as fans begged for its release. Lil Baby also makes an appearance in the video, bringing his modified red and black Cyber Truck to the car show.

The new song and video follows a bit of work from the rappers in 2024. It follows Veeze’s “Pop Yo Sh*t” track which served as his first official release of the year while Rylo’s recent work placed him beside 42 Dugg as well as YTB Fatt on a pair of tracks: “In The Air” and “Pretty Air.” Veeze and Rylo’s 2023 years were both impressive and both rappers shined with their albums, Been One and Ganger, respectively.

Given the upcoming presidential election, politics are on the top of most Americans minds and the includes Sexyy Red. The “U My Everything” rapper has gone on the record to share her support for former President Donald Trump (then seemingly walked it back).

But it appears for her forthcoming music video, Sexyy Red pulled inspiration from another politician. Yesterday (June 21), she took her official X (formerly Twitter) page to post a Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky-inspired teaser for the next In Sexyy We Trust visual.

In the clip, Sexyy Red put her own spin on the infamous sexual contact scandal that rocked the 1990s. “I’m doin dis for our ancestors 😂,” she wrote.

Despite the mock Oval Office setup, the faux presidential seals plastered everywhere, and a framed photograph of Clinton on a nearby table, some users online weren’t able to catch the references.

“Who da hell is this,” wrote one user.

Others slammed Sexyy Red for claiming her actions in honor of Black suffrage. “You’re moving us backwards, Ms. Redd,” penned one user.

Monica Lewinsky hasn’t issued a response yet. However, this isn’t her first time being referenced by a musician—most notably on Beyoncé’s song “Partition.” Lewinsky responded then, and she likely will respond now.

While Megan Thee Stallion’s Hot Girl Summer Tour is smashing records all across the country, trolls online are looking to crush her spirit. But in the words of her mentor Beyoncé, the “Boa” rapper won’t let them break her soul.

Today (June 8), Megan found herself at the center of another celebrity AI-generated deepfake controversy. A seemingly doctored clip of a sex tape video circulating online claims to feature the Grammy Award-winner. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Megan slammed the accusation and threatened to take action against anyone pushing it as authentic.

“It’s really sick how y’all go out of the way to hurt me when you see me winning,” she wrote. “Y’all going too far, Fake ass shit. Just know today was your last day playing with me and I mean it.”

The origins of the video remain unknown. However, it gained popularity after blogger Mílagro Gramz liked the upload on X, then jokingly encouraged users to check it out. Fans of Megan quickly chimed in to encourage, the rapper to take legal action against not only the creator but Mílagro as well.

“Please sue them,” wrote another. “We’re begging. We tired of them playing on your name.”

“Translation, TAKE THEY ASS TO COURT,” penned another.

“Cardi B, give her your lawyer’s phone number, sis,” seemingly referring to Cardi’s defamation lawsuit victory against fellow blogger Tasha K.

Mílagro took to her page to clap back at users. She went on to claim she could not be held legally liable as she did not repost or create the clip. “And that’s not illegal,” she wrote. “Suck it.”

It is unclear if Megan Thee Stallion plans on taking legal action.
