It’s a tension that has lasted for nearly two decades, and it doesn’t look like 50 Cent and The Game are mending their beef anytime soon. However, there was a time in Hip Hop history when the two hitmakers were as thick as thieves—or so it seemed. 50 Cent signed Game to his G-Unit collective, but the partnership didn’t materialize as expected. They made music that has gone on to receive “classic” status from fans, and while Fif often gets a kick out of verbally sparring with his foes, Lil Scrappy claims he was distraught over his fallout with Game.
Scrap caught up with the Live on Lake Street podcast, where he revisited highlights of his career. During the conversation, Scrappy also shared some inside information on the beef between 50 Cent and The Game. There was a time when Lil Scrappy was signed to Fif’s G-Unit South, but he wasn’t able to collaborate with the “Greenlight Gang” mogul. “I wanted 50 on there so bad, man,” he said of his Young Buck-assisted track, “Money in the Bank.”
Lil Scrappy Wanted To Collab With Fif
“I told 50, ‘You gotta do it, because a down south beat with an up north dude, if you get on there, it’s gonna be crazy.’” Scrappy believes the collaboration never came to fruition because of issues with Game. “I don’t know. At the time, I think he was still hurting from that Game situation. He really f*cked with that sh*t. I can tell he was f*cked up about that sh*t.”
Lil Scrappy clarified that he “had just came in” to Fif’s circle around that time, so he was just an observer of the unraveling. When asked if he witnessed anything, the Love & Hip Hop star said he only heard both sides. Game and 50 Cent are outspoken artists who don’t back down from a confrontation. It was just in September when The Game was performing in Houston and sent verbal shots Fif’s way.
The Game Disses 50 Cent
While on stage, Game said, “I still don’t f*ck with 50 cent. He’s a b*tch. Ain’t no cut with that n*gga.” He added, “He’s a sucka. I’mma say it in Houston, I’ll say it in New York, I’ll say it anywhere. He’s a straight b*tch. And I like the TV shows, n*gga. Put that on the internet.”
According to Lil Scrappy, Rapper 50 Cent was left “fucked up” over his beef with The Game, and it’s possibly the reason why he and and the Queens MC never got a chance to work together.
In a new interview with Live On Lake Street, Scrappy rapper opened up about his career, signing to Lil Jon, and his time spent with 50 Cent as an artist signed to G-Unit South.
Scrappy explained that he had planned to get 50 on his 2006 hit, “Money In The Bank,” which also features G-Unit’s Young Buck, but the collaboration never happened.
Scrappy believes that the tension between 50 Cent and The Game is why the two never got a chance to get in the studio together.
“I wanted 50 on there so bad, man,” he said. “I told 50, ‘You gotta do it, because a down south beat with an up north dude, if you get on there, it’s gonna be crazy.’”
The host followed up by asking Scrappy why he believed the collab never happened, to which he concluded it could have been due to 50’s beef with The Game during that time. “I think he was still hurting from that Game situation,” Scrappy said. “I can tell he was fucked up about that shit.”
“Everytime I see that Vice City image… just a flood of memories pour in! Whatever you got going on with this… I’m interested,” one wrote.
“50 you gotta explain it now! I just bought the rockstar games trilogy with Vice City. What is going on here. And yes I’m gon buy it again,” another added.

According to NME, early footage of GTA 6 was leaked online previously — prompting an arrest to be made by British police. The game franchise’s publisher, Take Two, noted that despite that happening, it won’t affect development.
“With regards to the leak, it was terribly unfortunate, and we take those sorts of incidents very seriously indeed,” Take-Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick said in November. “There’s no evidence that any material assets were taken, which is a good thing, and certainly the leak won’t have any influence on development or anything of the sort.”
Recently, 50 Cent took to his Instagram page and teased a possible Grand Theft Auto collaboration. The TV mogul posted artwork from GTA’s Vice City, leaving fans in a frenzy. On March 1, Power executive producer 50 Cent posted an image of Grand Theft Auto’s Vice City logo on his Instagram page. The caption read, […]
50 Cent’s no stranger to the world of video games. In fact, he’s one of the few rappers to successfully release not one, but two video games. The release of 50 Cent: Bulletproof arrived at the height of his career before he later followed up with 50 Cent: Blood In The Sand. Though they didn’t necessarily lead to critical acclaim or following that’s comparable to games like Call Of Duty, it undoubtedly proved that Fif was one of the best marketers in the rap game.
Unfortunately, there’s been a sharp decline in artists developing their own video game. Recent calls for the return of Def Jam: Fight For NY have been acknowledged by the iconic rap label, though there hasn’t been any real updates in recent times. However, Grand Theft Auto has undoubtedly brought more rappers into their universe, such as Dr. Dre, who appeared in The Contract. Though GTA 6 is supposedly emerging in the near future, it’s unclear who might be involved in the gameplay.
50 Cent Teases Grand Theft Auto Collab
As 50 Cent’s television resume continues to grow, it seems that he may have struck a deal with Rockstar. The rapper took to Instagram where he teased a potential collaboration surrounding Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. He didn’t specify what he was working on but he said it would be bigger than his hit TV series, Power. “I will Explain this later, GLG GreenLightGang this shit bigger than POWER trust me. BOOM,” he wrote.
Rockstar hasn’t shed light on the potential collaboration but there have been a few discussions surrounding a series based on Grand Theft Auto in the past. However, with 50 Cent’s recent non-exclusive deal with Fox to produce TV content, it seems like an upcoming show based on Grand Theft Auto: Vice City could become a great success. Still, fans are waiting on new information surrounding GTA 6. Last year, 53 minutes of gameplay leaked online, while several gaming sites hinted that the game would arrive next year ot the year after. Perhaps, 50 Cent’s recent post indicates his involvement in the highly-anticipated video game. We’ll keep you posted on any further updates.
Over the weekend, Joey Bada$$ might’ve let us in on a little secret. The Brooklyn rapper took to Instagram to show us a snap of him and possibly the new woman in his life. In the photo, you can see Joey dressed to the nines in a black and white suit with his durag to complete his fit. He is gazing into the eyes of his date, who is none other than Serayah as she wears a red dress giving him her whole attention.
The two look as if they are out on a date as they sit in a booth in front of utensils, napkins, and wine glasses. After the “Love Is Only a Feeling” rapper made his post on Instagram, Serayah put her own post up of the couple with a black heart as the caption. The 27-year-old singer has seen a lot of success since hitting the big screen and making music. She’s not a household name like Keke Palmer or Tinashe, but Serayah is just as talented.
Here’s five things to know about Serayah, in case you didn’t know.
She Dated Jacob Lattimore
Serayah was in a very public relationship with fellow actor Jacob Lattimore. Lattimore plays Emmett on Showtime’s hit series, The Chi. As, she has been seen with Joey Bada$$ lately, Serayah confirmed her breakup with Lattimore in a statement.
”Me and Jacob are no longer together. —Sadly we just grew apart and I love and respect his journey moving foward.”
She also confirmed it over Instagram Live as fans kept asking her questions regarding the relationship. Lattimore and Seryah met in 2016 at the BET Awards. They finally made it official to the world in March of 2019 when Lattimore posted a picture of the two of them on Instagram. Serayah confirmed the relationship to Cardi B a few months later at a Fashion Nova event. Both have shared scenes in shows such as Empire, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, and The Chi.
BET even interviewed the couple for an episode of their series, “Millennial Love Stories”, where Lattimore went in detail how they met. The actor credits mutual friend, Shameik Moore, for getting them together. -In the same interview, Serayah describes being impressed during their first date as Lattimore went with the Empire actress to the nail salon. After six years, it looks like Serayah has moved on.
Serayah is an Actress
Seryah has been acting since 2015, landing her first major role in the hit series, Empire. She played Tiana Brown for six seasons. During that time, she also landed movie roles in Lucky Girl, Burning Sands, and other movies that were set for television. 50 Cent picked up Serayah for his hit STARZ series, BMF after Empire ended. She plays Meech’s baby’s mother. This year, she has a recurring role on Wu-Tang: An American Saga.
Yes, She Sings Too
Not only is she an actress, but she is a singer as well. Serayah has released seven singles, four from her EP, Addicted. She released Addicted in 2018 and followed it up with Ray’’. Serayah also contributed to the original soundtrack for the series, Empire. In 2015, the song “Drip Drop”, featuring herself and Yazz. The song reached number 37 on the Billboard Hip Hop/R&B charts.
Last month, the 27-year-old released her new single, “Love or Die” featuring Village Boy Prince. It is expected to be on her upcoming EP, though a date has not been announced yet. The BMF actress also spends her time starring in music videos as well. Serayah has appeared in “Undecided” by Chris Brown, Ne-Yo’s “Don’t Love Me”, Diddy & Bryson Tiller’s “Gotta Move On”, and Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood”. Joey Bada$$ is set to make a new short film starring Serayah for his song, “Show Me”. The video for the song is out now.
Friends with Taylor Swift
As I mentioned above, Serayah was in Taylor Swift’s music video for “Bad Blood”. Even before the video, the two hit it off as Swift wanted to meet the Empire actress. Swift contacted Serayah before the video shoot to discuss what would be going on and also to thank her for being involved. Ultimately, Serayah became apart of the “Anti-Hero” singer’s “Girl Group”. The group includes GiGi Hadid, Martha Hunt, Hailee Steinfeld, Selena Gomez, and Mariska Hargitay to name a few.
Around the time of the release of the video “Bad Blood”, Serayah told People that they are all just girls hanging out.
”We all hang out. We get together and we go eat and go to late-night cafes. I think people think it’s this celebrity gathering, but it’s just a bunch of girls, hanging out”.
Serayah applauds Swift for encouraging her to always use her voice and always remembers her for giving her a NARS red lip pencil to use, in which she always gets compliments when she wears it.
Serayah’s Drink of Choice is Tequila
After taking Tequila shots with Taylor Swift, Serayah ultimately became a tequila fan. She never drank tequila until then and now she’s the ambassador for DeLeon Tequila. It’s also her go-to drink! This past Christmas, she teamed up with the brand to deliver a new DeLeon Cranberry Margarita. The singer also hosted a Thanksgiving event called friendsgiving with DeLeon last year at TAO restaurant in Los Angeles. She’s even made friends with the owner of the agave spirit as well, none other than Diddy himself.
Let us know if you think Serayah and Joey Bada$$ are a real thing in the comments down below.
50 Cent found much success in recent years, thanks to his endeavors in television. Power proved Fif can find as much success outside of rap as he did within the music industry. The Starz-backed series became a cultural phenomenon after its debut. Fans tuned in week after week as they followed the story of James “Ghost” St. Patrick and Tommy Egan. Though the series ended, Fif landed three spin-off series to expand the Power universe.
Power provides a look into St. Patrick’s life as he tries to leave the streets alone to become legitimate. However, one man filed a $1B lawsuit against Fif in 2021, claiming that the series was based on his life. “[Holland] fails to identify any defamatory statements made about him in connection with the fictional television series ‘Power,’” Fif’s attorneys wrote in a court filing. “He fails to allege that his name, portrait or picture was used in connection with ‘Power,’ or that any such use was a prohibited advertising use.”
Ex-Drug Dealer Claims 50 Cent Pulled Up To His Home
Corey “Ghost” Holland Sr. accused 50 Cent of actually coming to his home to resolve the issue. In a filing obtained by AllHipHop, Holland said Fif pulled up to his home twice between July and August 2021. He added that Fif continuously attacked him online subliminally before showing up in his front yard. “… Now 50 Cent is bringing the drama right to plaintiff front yard,” the document reads. “So plaintiff responded to 50 Cent the way any normal person would respond to a possible threat, plaintiff prepared himself for whatever was go happen.”
Holland said that he tried to find out why 50 Cent was at his home yet couldn’t get an answer from the security detail. “The men in the truck returned, repeated the same intimidation tactic and left, but this time they appeared to be armed,” read the motion. “So plaintiff family ARM themselves, cause defendant Jackson, came back to plaintiff neighborhood for a second time, but once again security protected him. Plaintiff again tried to get to him and ask why is he coming to his home and neighborhood, but security prevented that, it’s clear your Honor, he was seeking a confrontation, and came very close to getting what he came for.” We’ll keep you posted on any further updates surrounding the case.
50 Cent may have won at the rodeo while in Houston but also caught another win. His champagne, Le Chemin du Roi Brut was auctioned for $325,000 after winning Grand Champion at Houston’s 20th Annual Rodeo Uncorked! International Wine Competition. 50 Cent may have come to a settlement with a media outlet over their sharing of Miami-based practice Perfection Medical Spa’s unproven size claims about his member downstairs. Still, there’s no denying he has a huge set of cojones on him. Today, the rapper declared Method Man was the best rapper in the legendary hip-hop collective Wu-Tang Clan.
This isn’t the first time the mogul had a bold take online when it comes to his rap music. Just last week, 50 shared his opinion that Future was ‘way bigger’ in the streets than Jay-Z. Now, while congratulation Method Man on his NAACP Image Award win for Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Drama Series (for the role of Davis McLean) in 50’s executive-produced series, Power Book II: Ghost, the “In Tha Club” rapper wrote a kind note.
In a now-deleted Instagram post, 50 cent wrote, “Method Man is no joke, he was always #1 in Wu-Tang to me, but he has transitioned into something that has to be celebrated his train won’t stop, shout out to @naacp for recognizing and the ZARS network.”
To which Method Man replied, “3rd times the charm.. another win for the team.”
Is 50 Cent biased in his assessment due to the longstanding business relationship? Either way, many fans joined in to agree with his declaration.
The third season of Power Book II: Ghost, will premiere on March 17.
50 Cent and Cuban Link are still going strong. The couple went public in 2019 and haven’t shied away from showcasing their relationship on social media and red carpet affairs. Cuban Link is always on Fif’s side whenever he’s premiering a television show. However, she also includes him in her social media antics which often lead to hilarious candid reactions from Fif. For example, she trolled him for his weight loss in All Things Fall Apart. “This mother fucker done lost her mind,” he said in response. “I’m a throw her fucking phone out of the highway.”
Overall, the couple is still quite happy with one another. Link often times showcases the funny side of their relationship on TikTok while also highlighting their successes. She doesn’t hesitate to publicly congratulate her man on his wins, whether on television or otherwise. Still, she drags Fif into her online antics every so often. It’s kind of like giving him a small dose of his own medicine, considering that he’s usually trolling everyone else.
Cuban Link Trolls Fif
While 50 Cent remains hip-hop’s biggest troll, it appears as though Cuban Link might be his match. This weekend, she shared a video of herself and 50 Cent laid up when she began recording herself and telling Fif about a man that’s been in her DMs. “This boy be in my DMs saying I’m pretty,” she said while Fif sounded nothing short of confused. “He said I’m pretty,” she reiterated. Fif kept his response short, telling her, “Go ‘head, get knocked out.” Link simply laughs it off before turning the camera off.
The latest post from Cuban Link further dispels rumors that there was trouble in their relationship. Last year, reports emerged online that the couple split. Fif and Cuban Link allegedly unfollowed each other on Instagram and deleted pictures of each other off of their respective pages. In most cases, it’s a sign that a relationship is completely done but that’s evidently not the case. The two are still happy and together. Check out Cuban Link’s post above and sound off with your thoughts in the comments.
