2Rare Finally Releases His First Album With “Truth Or Rare”

The wildly entertaining and up-and-coming rapper, 2Rare has just put out his debut album. The Philly native has not been in the game for that long, as he began his career right around 2020. His dreams and aspirations to make it to the NFL changed once he moved across the country to Los Angeles, things changed for him. He began to pursue music and dancing and since then, 2Rare has taken off from that point on. He is already getting massive co-signs from other artists too.

In an interview with XXL, he mentioned some wise advice from longtime Chicago rapper Lil Durk. 2Rare told XXL, “Lil Durk always reminds me, ‘Bro, you got the world, you got the youth, you got the kids, you got the influence.’ So, no matter what you do that’s different from everybody else, keep doing it.” The youngster is also on the 2023 XXL Freshman list.

2RARE And Blueface Join Forces For “2HUMPY”

2RARE and Blueface are here for a brand new song called “2HUMPY.” The track is now the 15th single that either features or stars him this year. 2RARE has worked with some established names in the rap game such as French Montana, NLE Choppa, and Lil Durk. He continues to blow up and this new collaboration with Blueface is further proof of that. But first, let us take a quick look at where 2RARE has come from, for those who do not know.

He legally goes by Naseem Young and put all of the pressure on himself to make it big in the music industry. He fully dedicated himself to rap in his teenage years, and this came after a realization that the life of a rap star would be a more fulfilling career path for him over school and football. The song that launched his career was “Big Bag,” released independently in 2019, which allowed 2RARE to sign a joint deal with 10K Projects, Homemade Projects, and Internet Money Records.

Fun Is One Word To Use

2RARE and Blueface have something here with “2HUMPY.” It is an easy breezy listen and it is all about a shout-out to those with a lot of junk in the trunk. The beat almost seems to sample “Baby Got Back” by Sir Mix-A-Lot and it adds perfectly to what the song is aiming for. These two might need to collaborate more in the future.

What are your thoughts on this track “2HUMPY” with Blueface and 2RARE? Have you heard 2RARE’s music before, and if so what is your favorite song of his? What are your thoughts on all the recent drama with Blueface and his love life? We want to hear all of your thoughts and opinions, so be sure to leave them for us in the comments section below. Additionally, keep it locked for all the hottest song releases and for all the news around the music world.

Flo Milli’s Muse Is A 7-Eleven Slurpee On ‘Anything Flows’ Featuring Maiya The Don, 2Rare, And Kari Faux

Flo Milli has done a lot of collaborating this year. The 23-year-old rapper worked with Saucy Santana on “Whole Family” or Lola Brooke and Maiya The Don on the “Conceited” remix. Now she’s back with a bigger, more iconic group effort.

For 7-Eleven, Flo Milli teamed up with Maiya The Don again, as well as 2Rare and Kari Faux for the new track “Anything Flows” produced by Nova Wav. The music video directed by Warren Fu is full of color and Slurpees. Plus, everyone’s outfits are impeccable and memorable, and the choreography is spot-on. The infectious track has Milli’s clever and fun flair, only made better and more catchy with the other rappers who she has obvious chemistry with.

Earlier this year, Milli worked with American Express on a partnership. “American Express and Depop are bringing my personal style to life this festival season and I’m so excited to be part of the first collection.” Flo Milli shared in a statement. “Through both my music and fashion, I always aim to express myself with authenticity and creativity. I can’t wait for Depop users to shop my festival-ready looks, featuring bold, glam pieces with Y2K and grunge influence.”

112’s ‘Cupid’ Video Gets Some ‘React Like You Know’ Love From 2Rare And TiaCorine

Our React Like You Know series is a hit. In the last episode, we quizzed today’s generation of rappers on the hip-hop cult classic track “Get Money” by Junior Mafia featuring The Notorious B.I.G. and Lil Kim. Now, we’re testing a range of Gen-Z recording artists on their knowledge of ’90s R&B, starting with 112’s 1997 song, “Cupid.”

Up to put their musical wits to the test are 2Rare, TiaCorine, Lil Zay Osama, TraTwoThree, Kalan.FrFr, Nascar Aloe, Raiche, Kyle Banks, Bolsen, Pheelz, and more. While many had a laugh about the video’s dated look, comparing it to a 90s Black Harry Potter film, they unanimously agree that the platinum plaque hold record is undeniably smooth.

Rapper 2Rare’s look for the song went a step further as he sampled the song on his breakout single, “Q-Pid” featuring Lil Durk. You can watch his performance of the record as part of our UPROXX Sessions here.

When asked about what about the song made him want to sample it, 2Rare replied, “I’ve been wanted to sample it. I’ve always loved the song. So, when I heard the sample [from DJ Smalls 732], I was like, ‘Yeah, that’s the one,’” he added. “It’s a great song. It’s one of those ones. It makes you feel good.”

French Montana & 2Rare Turn Up Gaucho’s South Bronx Gym In “RATATAAAAA” Music Video

French Montana previously began the year on a high note with the arrival of his previously delayed Coke Boys 6 project. Across 20 titles, the “Unforgettable” artist collaborated with names like Vory, Jeremih, Benny The Butcher, and EST Gee, just to name a few. Fans were obviously hyped to have new music from Montega, though the hype didn’t last long before tragedy struck.

A few days after the Gangsta Grillz tape landed, a shooting broke out during one of French’s music video shoots in Miami. The 38-year-old thankfully wasn’t harmed, however, his bodyguard and fellow rapper Rob49 weren’t so lucky. Both have since recovered from their injuries, though police have since tried to pin the incident on Montana.

Despite the drama, the Morocco-born rhymer continues to put his music first. Following the arrival of CB6 last month, he returned this Friday (February 10) with an amped-up club anthem called “RATATAAAA.” Montana made the track in tandem with 2Rare, who’s best known for working with NLE Choppa on last October’s “Do It Again.”

The song’s lyrics are mostly repetitive, but it’s the beat behind them that really shines. “Bitch, I’m him, bitch, I’m him, pretty faces if they slim / Bitch, I’m flexin’, need no gym, bitch, I’m ballin’, need no rim,” the “Mopstick” artist raps. In the accompanying visual, he and 2Rare markedly bring their energy to Gaucho’s Gym in the South Bronx along with plenty of friends.

Stream French Montana and 2Rare’s club anthem, “RATATAAAAA” on Spotify or Apple Music below. Afterward, tell us your thoughts on the new single in the comments. Additionally, you can find more release recommendations on our Fire Emoji playlist tomorrow (February 11).

Quotable Lyrics:

Bitch, I’m him, bitch, I’m him, pretty faces if they slim
Bitch, I’m flexin’, need no gym, bitch, I’m ballin’, need no rim
I’m viral, need no film, need that B, I don’t need no Ms
