French Montana Unveils “Mac & Cheese 5” Cover Art

French Montana took inspiration from his home country of Morocco for the recently-unveiled Mac & Cheese 5 album cover. Moreover, the mixtape– which will end the Mac & Cheese series that defined much of his rise and his career– is set to release on January 5. One week before this on Friday (December 29), the South Bronx rapper took to social media to share this new cover along with WORLDSTAR, and fans seem pretty excited for the effort. However, others expressed concern for the image’s presumed reference to satanic one-eye imagery or the Illuminati, which is definitely reading way too deeply into it.

What’s more is that French Montana is really balling out a lot these days in the lead-up to this new project’s release, as he wants to get into a celebratory mood. For example, he recently showed off his pricey and stylish fit at a recent NBA game between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Brooklyn Nets. Many fans noticed the “No Stylist” MC’s Louis Vuitton Air Force 1s, which he said in the video in question that they cost him $200K. That’s a ridiculous bag for some shoes, but when you’re as successful as he is, you can afford the indulgences every once in a while.

In addition to the standard flexing, French Montana is also reflecting on the most definitive parts of his career that he wants to continue to represent. During a recent appearance on Fame & Flavor with food influencer Cugine, the culinary star asked him what the “Coke” in “Coke Boys” stands for. According to the 39-year-old, the title and label name (which was previously named Cocaine City Records) actually stands for “Creation Of Kings Everywhere.” That’s a worthwhile pursuit to champion, albeit a cheeky dodge of the more obvious interpretation.

Remy Ma shared an optimistic message on Instagram, on Tuesday, while looking ahead to the new year. She says her presence is a gift and not everyone deserves it. Captioning a video montage of herself, she wrote: “Your presence is a gift. How many of y’all walking into 2024 hitting that Access Denied button? #RemyMa #Reminisce #BigBronx.”

Many fans shared positive comments in response to the post. One wrote: “Okay Remy we need that workout regime, that meal prep regime, that clear skin regime, that everything regime for 2024 because wow.” Fat Joe was among them with the remark: “Killem sis I’m with you every time.” Not everyone was so uplifting. Many others brought up her allegedly cheating on her husband, Papoose, with Eazy the Block Captain.“Still can’t believe she did buddy like that,” one user wrote. Another added: “LOVE HER DEARLY! Rumors that Remy and Eazy had an affair began to gain steam back in June when Papoose reportedly got into an altercation with the battle rapper at a Chrome 23 event. Remy downplayed the incident on social media afterward. “I’d like to apologize to everyone that was disappointed tonight because we couldn’t get 3 full rounds from all the opponents… I tried…and can y’all pleasee STOP with the Eazy & Pap LIES,” she tweeted. “There’s NO place like Chrome! Ice Spice Reportedly Earns “Billboard” Female Hip-Hop Album Of The Year As Rapper’s Flag Spotted Over Capitol Records

Billboard has named Like..? by Ice Spice their female hip-hop album of the year, according to Chart Data. However, the claim should be taken with some skepticism as at this time, Billboard has not released anything acknowledging this statement. As a result, it’s unclear why Billboard chose Like…? to top their staff picks for the year.

Meanwhile, the rapper’s flag (a modified American flag in pink with an image of Spice) was spotted flying over the headquarters of Capitol Records. While the meaning of the flag was unclear, fans hoped it meant that Spice would be dropping her full-length debut in 2024. This comes after hints from her long-time producer, RIOTUSA, that the album might be coming next year.

Of course, a massive 2024 would be the logistical next step for Spice, who enjoyed a major breakout year in 2023. This included getting her own drink at Dunkin Donuts. The first ad for the Ice Spice Munchkins Drink dropped during the VMAs on September 12. In something of a meta advertisement, Spice and certified Boston Boy Ben Affleck try to come up with names for her signature drink. It’s a fun little spot with Affleck turning his Southie accent up to 11. Furthermore, an unimpressed Spice serves as his straight woman.

The promotion was on the radar for a while now. However, the ad spot was the first official debut of the promotion, which hit stores on September 13. “Pumpkin spice season has gotten a bit predictable lately, so we sought help from our friends Ben Affleck and Ice Spice to create a new pumpkin obsession that only Dunkin’ can offer. The result? The collaboration you never knew you needed: Pumpkin Munchkins and Frozen Dunkin’ Coffee. Blended together to create the Ice Spice Munchkins Drink. It’s fun, it’s delicious, and it’s not your ordinary pumpkin drink,” Dunkin’ Donut’s CMO Jill McVicar Nelson told Food & Wine.

Future Teases Metro Boomin Collab Album Yet Again, Acknowledges Long Wait

One of the most anticipated projects of 2024 is hands-down Future and Metro Boomin’s long-awaited collaborative album. Although the two trap icons have an avalanche of material together, it’s going to be very exciting to see them team up for a full LP. Moreover, Hendrix recently took to his Instagram Story to repost a recall of one of his earlier tweets back in May of this year which teased the release. With that, and by saying that the “album [is] on the way,” he seemed to acknowledge that it’s been a long, long wait up until this point. However, given that Pluto is teasing this and not Metro, who usually takes up audience hype duties, this is a pretty promising “update.”

Of course, at this point, all we can really do is wait until it releases, as Future and Metro Boomin have had this in the cards for a while now. Still, recent rumors of bad blood within this camp might affect fan perception of this album, given the spicy narrative. As the producer and Drake are seemingly in a cold war, many folks have theorized how frequent and downright classic collaborators of both, those being the DS2 pioneer and 21 S*vage, are reacting to this. It’s a difficult position to be in, which puts the “truth” behind this speculation more in doubt.

Other developments that fueled excitement for this album include Metro Boomin’s recent comments on his recording process with Future. Apparently, he doesn’t let him skip on any beats he brought to the table, emphasizing that even if he doesn’t like it at first, he at least has to try. It’s a very interesting revelation, but one that clearly leads to a lot of gems and amazing moments. For example, the beat on “I Serve the Base” off DS2 is forward-thinkingly distorted and aggressive, which wasn’t really the vibe that Fewtch was on during this era. Today, many fans might consider it one of that tape’s best highlights.

Meanwhile, this is what the St. Louis native had to say about his “Superhero” partner to Ebro Darden last year. “He’s one of the best artists to work with like that,” Metro expressed. “I feel like that’s why we get the results that we do because we don’t come in with any ego. Jay Rock Says TDE Compilation Is Coming Soon With Most Of Black Hippy

Jay Rock’s coming out with a new album soon, but that’s not everything that he’s looking forward to when it comes to new releases. Moreover, he recently responded to an interviewer’s question about whether there will be a Black Hippy feature on his new album with an even more exciting prospect. For those unaware, Black Hippy is the Top Dawg Entertainment supergroup comprised of Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, ScHoolboy Q, and Kendrick Lamar. While the California MC didn’t respond to his album particularly, he did relay some brand-new teases about an upcoming project that aims to celebrate the label’s 20-year history in the game.

“I mean, I can tell you this,” Jay Rock expressed, seemingly at TDE’s tenth annual holiday concert. “I know we doing the compilation album. You know, TDE for 20 years, you know what I mean? It’s been 20 years since TDE been in the game, you know what I’m saying? So we putting together a compilation album, so we should be dropping that at the top of the year. I don’t know how many songs we’re going to put on there, but we got a majority of Black Hippy on that thing. So make sure y’all check it out, it’s on the way. The TDE compilation album, you know what I mean?”

As such, it looks like endless rumors about this group’s status yield more promising results. That being said, Jay Rock’s answer here still leaves a lot of question marks behind, which only gets fans more excited and anxious to see the final product. For one, it seems like at least one of the aforementioned MCs won’t be on here, presumably Kendrick since he left the label not too long ago. On the other hand, it’s unclear if this will compile older or previously released material or if it’s brand-new songs from this crew. Either way, we’re sure die-hards will love to dive in.

B.G. Promises “Greatest Comeback In Hip-Hop History”

B.G. has vowed that 2024 will be a year to remember. “While you n-ggas sleep I’m up headed to work,” he wrote. “I gotta see my psychiatrist and go to class. I’m doing all this and I’m Halfway Out. 2024 will be the greatest comeback in Hip Hop History #RNS 100 #LiveFromTheHalfwayHouse on the way,” the rapper wrote on Instagram. The rapper has already started putting on music since his release. He recently paired up Gucci Mane for the mixtape “Chopper & Bricks“.

B.G. has been making major strides since his release from prison earlier this year. In September, he celebrated his graduation from a prison rehabilitation program. “Yesterday I crossed another hurdle on this field of life…it feels good to grow,evolve,and be a better man now then I was before I went to jail..since I came home I noticed a lot of people are the same people I left,but I’m not the same dude that left..for all my haters keep hating and for all my supporters ima make y’all proud…thank you to my kids,my team,friends,and fans for traveling this journey with me and pushing me to be GREAT…y’all ain’t seen nothing yet..real n-ggas back in style… #RNS Heart of The Streets 3 #ComingSoon,” B.G. captioned a highlight reel from the event.

As mentioned, B.G. was released prison earlier this year after 11 years behind bars. While originally scheduled to be released in 2024, B.G. had nearly a year removed from his sentence with his September 2023 release. Furthermore, B.G. has returned to Cash Money Records to pursue music now he’s a free man. “For the record, I just want n-ggas to know that my n-gga official Cash Money — ain’t no cap in that,” Birdman said during an appearance on The 85 South Show on September 8. “Ya heard me? Ain’t nobody he can ever sign with beside this sh-t. I’m bringing all this sh-t together. B.G. signed to Cash Money so y’all don’t got to hear it from nowhere else.”

Since his release, B.G. has made it clear that he’s balancing the creation of new music with fulfilling the conditions of his release. The rapper must attend substance dependency treatment programs. Furthermore, he must “actively pursue a GED or vocational training equivalent in order to better set him up for future employment.” Additionally, he must complete 400 hours of unpaid community service and is barred from possessing a firearm. There’s no official word on the release of his new music as of yet. However, the rapper is clearly ready to make a major impact after so long away from the scene.

It is well-known at this point that Playboi Carti fans are built different. Overall, they will do pretty much anything to hear what the artist has in store. In fact, it seems like a new album is, in fact, on the horizon. Although we do not have a release date, there are three new singles that have been released in the last two weeks. This actually rare for Carti, who never drops singles. However, he is blessing his fans, and they are taking notice. Some believe this is the best work of his entire career.

Having said all of that, fans are being extremely weird as it pertains to the props from his recent music videos. For instance, we recently reported on how some grass from the “2024” video ended up hitting eBay. Now, however, a more unique item has ultimately hit the internet. Below, you can see that someone is trying to sell the lollipop that Carti had in his mouth in the “2024” video. There is no verification that this is the one, and we wonder how the fan even got it.

Fans of Playboi Carti are selling grass that is visible in the music video for “2024” on eBay. User K1ertt kicked off the bidding on Sunday. While the price began at $27, the highest bid is all the way up to $10,200. As of Tuesday afternoon, 19 fans have put forth bids on the grass. The bidding will officially close on December 27.

A description for the grass on eBay reads: “Are you tired of your boring old lawn? Upgrade to the VIP level with the one and only grass from a Playboi Carti music shot right here in Atlanta! Located at the Brookhaven Valero. This isn’t your average turf – it’s been blessed by Carti’s vibes, making it the most hype grass on the market. Imagine the street cred your front yard will gain!”

Ice Spice and her producer RiotUSA had an absolutely killer 2023, with the rapper arguably being the genre’s biggest breakout star of the year. Moreover, it’s only natural for us to expect that next year will only bring us better things when it comes to this duo. With plenty of hits already under their belts, there’s a lot of pressure for them to perform, bring some real heat, and impress in a big way in 2024. During a recent interview with Billboard, Riot detailed some parts of their process together as collaborators and also hinted at what they’re working hard on for the next step in their careers.

“It’s a fun time because she really be saying how she feels in that moment,” he remarked of Ice Spice, who’s been making music with him since 2021 after they met at SUNY Purchase. “From picking out vibes or punching in lyrics on the spot. Fans should know I produce and record too, so look out for my music. Also look out for new classics with Ice in 2024. We’re working on her debut album as we speak.”

Furthermore, this is pretty much all we know about the Bronx MC’s full-length debut, but it’s just enough to get our hopes up. We never really expected her not to capitalize on her incredible fame and success, but gap years come in very surprising ways, so you never know when someone wants to take a break and really sit on their next move. This is also quite exciting because Ice Spice recently switched labels, and hopefully that ends up being a big win for her in retrospect. With that in mind, all we can hope for is that they come through with another update sooner rather than later.

Meanwhile, the 23-year-old knows exactly how good she is– and she’s not shy about gassing herself up. One of her funniest recent social media posts was revealing that she was her most listened-to artist of 2023 on Spotify. Playboi Carti Is Bringing The Extravagant Vibes Only For ‘2024,’ As He Shared His Confident New Song

Playboi Carti dropped his new song, “2024,” just in time for the new year that’s approaching. The track is rumored to be the first preview of his upcoming project, I Am Music, which, according to Hypebeast, might drop in January.

“Yeah, yeah, you came back and you fell, uh / Second place, can’t be in my face, oh, nah / Deep pockets, they think I’m rockin’ Chanel,” he raps, according to Genius, as he points out his champion mentality and extravagant tendencies. “Fat wallet, lil’ b*tch, you know I got here / Out of pocket with your b*tch, Chanel / I’ma grow me some horns, baby, I’m from hell.”

Right now, as a surprise drop from the rapper, the song is only available to listen to on YouTube. However, the release came complete with a music video that matched the energies. It opens with Playboi Carti showing off his car collection and designer luggage, as he performs in his garage. He also unwinds on the hood of a few of the cars, as he throws some money in the air — all while maintaining his rap skills over an entertaining beat.

Later in the video, he dances around with some friends outside of a gas station.
