2 Chainz’s Tunnel Vision Spirit Is Alive On ‘Mortgage Free’ With DJ Premier

If you’ve been hoping for new music from 2 Chainz, we’ve got some good news for you: the Atlanta rapper is back in action tonight and his newest release finds him paired alongside DJ Premier. Together, the duo delivers “Mortgage Free” and it’s a track that 2 Chainz uses to highlight to show off his tunnel vision and motivation to make sure that he continuously lives, well, mortgage-free. DJ Premier also provides strong production to the track to make it all that much enjoyable.

The new track arrives after 2 Chainz celebrated the tenth anniversary of his beloved T.R.U. REALigion mixtape. He held a concert in his hometown of Atlanta to perform tracks from the project which features Big Sean, Wiz Khalifa, Meek Mill, Jadakiss, and more. The performance came after 2 Chainz revealed the title of his next album. The upcoming release will be titled Dope Don’t Sell Itself, as 2 Chainz revealed back in August. There’s no release date for the project at the moment, but it could be the rapper’s “last trap album” thanks to a tweet he put out this past summer.

Dope Don’t Sell Itself will be the follow-up to his 2020 album So Help Me God. The album arrived with 15 tracks and guest appearances from Ty Dolla Sign, Ye, Brent Faiyaz, Latto, Lil Uzi Vert, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, and more.

Earthgang Finally Announces The Release Date For ‘Ghetto Gods’ With Help From 2 Chainz

More than two years after they released their eclectic debut album Mirrorland, Earthgang is finally gearing up to share their follow-up. The Atlanta duo, comprised of rappers Olu and WowGr8, announced the release date for their upcoming project, Ghetto Gods, and fans won’t have to wait too long: It’s set to drop on January 28. Earthgang delivered the news through a trailer that’s narrated by fellow Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz and it finds the duo giving listeners a taste of what can expect to hear.

It’s been a long road towards the release of Ghetto Gods. The group previously announced it would arrive on the same day as J. Cole’s The Off-Season, which dropped on May 14. Unfortunately, that day came and went without the arrival of Ghetto Gods. To make the wait better, Earthgang released a number of loosies over the course of the next few months, including “Erykah” and “Aretha,” as well as remixes of Drake’s “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” and their own single, “Options,” with Wale and Coi Leray.

Earthgang also shared the dates for their Biodeghettable European tour, which will start on March 7 in Ireland and continue throughout the month before bringing things to an end on March 31 in Norway.

2 Chainz Announces His Upcoming Album ‘Dope Don’t Sell Itself’ Is On The Way

Less than nine months after releasing his seventh album, So Help Me God, 2 Chainz is already gearing up to release another. During his set at San Bernardino’s HARD Summer Music Festival over the weekend, the Atlanta rapper announced the title for his next full-length project. “New album on the way,” 2 Chainz”s DJ said before the rapper himself revealed its title is Dope Don’t Sell Itself. No release date was given.

The news comes after 2 Chainz made an announcement last month about his next body of work. “This [gon’] be my last trap album, enjoy,” the rapper wrote in a tweet. While he did not specify what he meant by the message, fans’ hope is that it foreshadows a new sound.

So Help Me God was one of the stronger hip-hop efforts that arrived in 2020. The 15-track album saw appearances from Ty Dolla Sign, Kanye West, Brent Faiyaz, Latto, Lil Uzi Vert, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, and more. In addition to Dope Don’t Sell Itself, 2 Chainz also promised Collegrove 2, a sequel to his 2016 joint album with Lil Wayne, at some point in the future. It remains to be seen if that album is still in the works as 2 Chainz last spoke about it last year.

Ant Clemons, Ty Dolla Sign, And 2 Chainz Show ‘Appreciation’ To A Faithful Companion

Ant Clemons has tallied a decent number of accomplishments to his name for his fairly short music career. He’s already worked with a number of industry stars including Kanye West and he’s also been Grammy-nominated thanks to his debut project Happy 2 Be Here, which was recognized in the Best R&B Album category. Now, Clemons seemingly has his eyes set on a future project as he returns with a brand new single that seems him working beside Ty Dolla Sign and 2 Chainz.

The trio joins forces for their gratitude-filled track, “Appreciation.” The moody banger is led by Clemons’ warm proclamations and the sultry thoughts he delivers to the special companion in his life. Ty Dolla Sign follows him with a verse filled with similar thoughts before 2 Chainz closes things out with a contribution of his own filled with slick-talking bars.

The track arrives after Clemons recruited Kehlani for “Section” last month. He also teamed up with Justin Timberlake to drop “Better Days” at the end of last year. As for his collaborators, Ty Dolla Sign recently connected with 070 Shake and Swedish House Mafia for “Lifetime” while 2 Chainz surprised some fans by saying his next full-length release would be his “last trap album.”
