The Nike Air Foamposite One is one of the more polarizing creations from Nike. Overall, it is still a very cool shoe that will always remain unique within the Nike library. It is a shoe that was first popularized by none other than Penny Hardaway back in the 90s. Subsequently, it became a huge sneaker on the East Coast. Although, in recent years, it hasn’t had the same luster it used to have. Much of this is due to a lack of great releases. After all, the best Foamposite release of the last decade set the bar extremely high.
Of course, we are talking about the “Galaxy” Nike Air Foamposite One which released all the way back in 2012. This sneaker was part of the All-Star game festivities that year and it immediately became the most hyped of the bunch. In fact, some of the releases regarding this sneaker led to actual fights and bloodshed. Overall, this remains a legendary release, and the resale prices for this are actually astronomical. Although, as SneakerBarDetroit reports, this model is returning next year.

Yes, that’s right, in 2012 we will get a retro release of the Nike Air Foamposite one “Galaxy.” This is going to be mind-blowing news for any sneakerhead. However, it is going to be good news, all the same. Firstly, this sneaker is known for having a shell that is filled with blue and purple galaxy aesthetics. Secondly, the shoe has a black upper portion, while the outsole has a glow in the dark quality to it. Overall, this shoe just has everything going for it. No, it can’t be worn with anything, but who cares? At this point, it has earned its place in the sneaker Hall of Fame.
At the time of writing this, there is no release date associated with the Nike Air Foamposite One “Galaxy.” However, we do know that these should be coming out in the Spring of 2024. The best Sonic games are down to player preference. However, fans usually agree on which ones are the best, and which ones could use a little polish. Below we’ll get into some of the best Sonic games out there. For your convenience, I’ve ranked from least to the best according to the fans. Without further ado, let’s do it to it.
10. Sonic Colors
Sonic Colors is a 3D Sonic game that was released in 2010. It was part of the 3D era that let Sonic shine. Colors features a whole new world to run around in: Planet Wisp. This entry in Sonic’s history is iconic for all kinds of reasons. It was the first instance we saw of a new voice actor, Roger Craig Smith.
However odd the changes, Sonic Colors was a great step in the right direction for Sonic in the platforming medium. Tomoya Ohtani and other experienced developers at Sonic Team composed the soundtrack for Sonic Colors, which amazed players. Sonic Team maintained a balance between 2D and 3D, with few glitches. Sonic Colors was a huge success for the modern Sonic franchise, and it gave fans hope for a bright future.
9. Sonic Unleashed
Sonic Unleashed is a 3D platforming title produced by Sonic Team, released in 2008. With Jason Griffith’s performance as Sonic’s voice actor, the game is almost instantly iconic from the first seconds of the opening cutscene. Sonic Team initially conceived Sonic Unleashed as another title, Sonic World, with the intention of creating a spiritual successor to Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2. However, due to budget and time constraints, they redesigned the game to become the new concept, Sonic Unleashed.
The day stages within Sonic Unleashed were Sonic in 3D at one of its finest moments. The game came with the new Hedgehog Engine, a processing software for the graphics and overworld that allowed Sonic Team to make games across consoles more capably. While it did cap at 30FPS across versions, the game still ran capably and without almost any glitchy handicaps upon release.
However, the drawback of Sonic Unleashed is the night stages. During these stages, you play as Sonic in werehog form, a mode completely different than in the day. These stages feature mob fights and slow platforming sections. For many, this was a dealbreaker, which is why it’s so far down in the list.
8. Sonic Rush
Sonic Rush is a 2D platforming game produced by Dimps and released in 2005. One of the most iconic games to be released not by Sonic Team, Sonic Rush was an attempt to capitalize on the mobile console market by releasing a Sonic game on the Nintendo DS. It featured a new character, Blaze, who continues to be an interesting and captivating character for fans.
In Sonic Rush, players navigate the game as either Sonic or Blaze. The 2D levels are cleverly built, making each a satisfying and quick-paced puzzle. The game introduced the boost formula, allowing Sonic or Blaze to boost after collecting a certain amount of rings. Sonic Unleashed would later perfect this recipe, allowing later games like Colors and Generations to run with full stride.
Concerning the soundtrack of Sonic Rush, the high energy scores for each stage are electric and upbeat. Produced by Hideki Naganuma, these tracks are nothing short of the best, which is to be expected. As you may know, Hideki worked on the Jet Set Radio series.
7. Sonic Advance Trilogy
The Sonic Advance Trilogy was an ambitious set of games that was released for the GameBoy, produced by Dimps, and released by Sega. Like Sonic Rush, Sonic Advance took to 2D and made an incredible game with an innovative level design, an addictive play pattern, and more than one character to control. Sonic Advance 1, 2, and 3 featured characters like Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Cream.
From Sonic Advance 2 onward, the games employ a system where a single player can control two characters and access unique movesets between the two. By introducing this mechanic, players could replay the game easily to discover more ways to pass each stage. Even after almost 20 years, Sonic Advance is still a highly regarded game discussed among fans today.
6. Sonic Heroes
Sonic Heroes is an iconic title in the Sonic franchise, released by the Sonic Team in 2003. Coming off the heels of Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, Sonic Heroes was an attempt to change up the formula in a delightful way that would retain current fans of the day while bringing in new ones with experimental concepts. This notion was that players control multiple characters at once.
In Sonic Heroes, you control three characters. One for speed, one for power, and one for flight. Naturally for Sonic’s team, that consists of Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails. The game features four teams of characters: Team Sonic (Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles), Team Dark (Shadow, Rouge, and E-123 Omega), Team Rose (Amy, Cream, and Big the Cat), and Team Chaotix (Espio, Charmy, and Vector). Each team has its own story and motivations, and the game allows players to switch between the three characters in their team on the fly.
The game received mixed reviews upon release, with critics praising its colorful graphics, character designs, and music but condemning its camera system and repetitive gameplay. Despite the mixed reception, Sonic Heroes remains a popular and beloved Sonic the Hedgehog franchise entry. 5. Sonic 2

The Chao Garden is a mechanic that everyone wants to see come back.

It did everything Sonic Adventure did but with a fresh coat of paint. Everything from the animation to the level design to the cast to the music was all on Sonic Team’s A-game. This 2000s-era hedgehog who’s too cool for rules had the dial pumped up to 11.
Players switch between the two sides, Hero and Dark, to complete the game. In the Hero story, players control Sonic the Hedgehog, Knuckles the Echidna, and Miles “Tails” Prower. They try to stop the villainous Dr. Eggman from taking over the world. In the Dark story, players control Eggman, Shadow the Hedgehog, and Rouge the Bat. They attempt to steal the seven Chaos Emeralds to power the Eclipse Cannon.
Sonic Adventure 2 introduced a new gameplay mechanic called the “grind rail.” They allowed players to grind on rails at high speeds. The game also included various other gameplay elements, such as treasure hunting levels, shooting levels, and racing levels.
The New York Knicks earned a hard-fought game-one victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday. The matchup between the teams may have been the most exciting game of the first playoff weekend. Although we probably won’t know for sure until Game 2 on Tuesday. The Cavaliers will be looking up from a big hole if they lose on Tuesday. Giving the Knicks a 2-0 lead heading back to Madison Square Garden would be less than ideal. Both fanbases have been starving for playoff success. This series victory will make or break one fanbase.

After multiple delays in Tory Lanez’s sentencing and hearings to debate requests for a new trial, his shooting victim is tired of all the hassle. Moreover, the Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney, Alexander Bott, recently claimed to reporters outside of the courtroom that Megan Thee Stallion just wants this case to be over. Furthermore, legal reported Meghann Cuniff, who covered this case since its beginning, took to Twitter on Monday (April 17) with some updates. During a hearing, Superior Court Judge David Herriford yet again extended considerations for a new trial for Lanez.
Now, the timeline is that the defense team must provide their supplements to the motion by May 1. Then, prosecutors must respond by May 3 for final deliberations set for May 8. Not only that, but this should be especially contentious, as the prosecution believes said motion for retrial “lacks substance.” After court proceedings resulted in another delay, Bott expressed belief in Tory Lanez’s timely sentencing. In addition, the deputy D.A. also spoke to their wishes to end this case and do right by Megan Thee Stallion’s wishes.

After Bott said Megan needs closure, a woman holding a baby on her hip muttered, “That girl don’t need no closure,” then told a girl who appeared about 8 years old that the reporters talking to Bott are at the courthouse to spin the narrative against Lanez.
“We want to make sure that Megan gets closure as quickly as possible,” he expressed, according to Meghann’s reporting. “She wants to put an end to this chapter of her life.” Furthermore, this statement lines up with the prosecution rejecting the defense’s motion for a new trial, which cited improper proceedings and evidence. The Houston MC’s team stood by “overwhelming evidence” in the previous trial that showed “multiple eyewitnesses identifying Tory as the shooter, the gun used in the assault found at his feet, and his recorded apologies for the shooting.”
Meanwhile, Tory Lanez remained in jail without bond since his December conviction for shooting Megan Thee Stallion. Unfortunately, the court of public opinion has been just as divided when it comes to this case. Leonardo DiCaprio is reportedly not dating Irina Shayk, despite the two being seen together at Coachella over the weekend. The two both attended Levi and Don Julio’s Neon Carnival event at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California after the performances at Coachella concluded on Saturday. They were later also spotted together at Frank Ocean’s headlining set on Sunday night. Shayk previously dated Bradley Cooper from 2015 to 2019.
TMZ says that sources with direct knowledge of the situation tell the outlet that DiCaprio and Shayk are just friends and were both at the event with a larger group. That group reportedly included Stella Maxwell and Tobey Maguire.

Jimmy Butler led the Miami Heat in a big game one upset over the Milwaukee Bucks. The Heat earned the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference after a win-or-go-home matchup with the Chicago Bulls. Coming off a short rest, the Heat handled the Bucks in game one, 130-117. However, the Bucks were without superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo for most of the game. Giannis suffered a back injury during a hard fall to the floor.
But even without Giannis, the Bucks should be the cream of the crop as the one seed. However, the Heat proved that without their superstar, Milwaukee can be beaten. DeuxMoi reported recently that the mother of two was expected to potentially debut her new man at Coachella. For the past few weeks, Jenner’s name has been linked to Beautiful Boy actor Timothée Chalamet. She’s allegedly been spending time with him for the past few months. The rumours sounded too bizarre for many to believe at first. However, photo evidence of their taco truck linkup has since been making rounds online. Apart from the telling images, Entertainment Tonight also shared on Monday (April 17) that their source can confirm Kylie Jenner and the 27-year-old are dating, but “keeping things casual at this point.”
The insider went on to note, “It’s not serious, but [she’s] enjoying hanging out with Timothée and seeing where it goes.” They also mentioned that the reality star is specifically enjoying how different things with Chalamet feel compared to her past relationships. “It’s new and exciting for Kylie and she’s having a lot of fun.” As for why they didn’t go public, the model apparently “just wanted to chill and have fun with her friends.” For any wondering how the new lovers linked up, it reportedly had something to do with older sister Kendall Jenner, who’s friends with the Dune star. If you were paying attention, Luka Doncic revealed the Jordan Luka 2 just a couple of weeks ago. Overall, it was a sneaker that surprised many fans. This is mostly because Doncic has been focused on his Jordan Luka 1, which did not come out that much long ago. Moreover, it became increasingly clear that his team would end up missing the playoffs. Typically, new shoes are worn in the playoffs, so debuting them with just a couple of games left in the regular season seemed odd. Either way, fans got to see something new.
Although we didn’t see all that much of the shoe, there is a ton of hype for these. Ultimately, that makes sense when you consider how Luka Doncic is one of the biggest stars in the world. Fans would certainly want a piece of whatever he is offering, and that includes the Jordan Luka 2. In the few images we did get of the sneaker, it appeared to be quite different from the first Jordan Luka silhouette. Furthermore, we got to see it in a black and purple color scheme that doesn’t exactly match the Mavericks aesthetic.
Subsequently, we now have a fresh new side profile image of the sneaker thanks to @kicksdong on Instagram. As you can see up above, this shoe is even more different from the Jordan Luka 1 then we already suspected. It should be noted that the colorway here is the same as the one we saw when Luka debuted the silhouette originally. Overall, the tooling throughout the upper is quite unique, and looks like something out of Tron. Additionally, there is a chunky midsole that we imagine will appeal to people who want a lot of cushioning in their basketball shoes.
Unfortunately, this shoe does not yet have a release date. However, that information should be on the horizon shortly. Either way, we know that Doncic is in for some polarizing reactions with these things. Only time will tell whether or not that translates to some success.
