50 Cent Takes It Back To Juvie Days With Throwback Pic

Alas, 50 Cent’s classic early tapes have to make the transition to streaming services. Truly unfortunate, given how enjoyable Power Of The Dollar and the street classic Guess Who’s Back remain to this day. And while diving into Fif’s pre-Shady-Aftermath catalog has become a difficult endeavor, relatively speaking, Fif himself has never been afraid to take his fans down memory lane in a different manner altogether.

Easily one of hip-hop’s most active Instagrammers, 50 has kept fans in tune with his come-up by way of throwback pictures, uploading a few vintage snapshots to his page ever so often. Today, Fif has shared a picture from thirty years ago, 1991 to be precise, along with an anecdote about his grandmother.

“Yo I was 15 in this picture on the South Side you have to grow up faster,” captions Fif, alongside the picture of his defiant teenage self. “I made a lot of mistakes I was already in juvie, I remember my Nana coming to see me, she is my angel. She love me unconditionally.” Twelve years later, he would go on to make history, signing a joint deal with Dr. Dre and Eminem and dropping one of the greatest debut albums of all time.

Given everything he has since built, including a substantial (and still growing) television empire, it’s always welcome to see a reminder of 50 Cent’s formative roots. And from the sound of it, he couldn’t have risen to where he is today without his Nana, who he still considers to be his angel. Check out the vintage picture below, a snapshot of 50 Cent’s time in juvie before a rap career was ever on the table.

Snoop Dogg has always done his part to uplift fans through his endearing personality, taking on the role of hip-hop’s collective uncle. While he has long brought comfort through his music, sense of humor, and overall presence, it would appear that Snoop is going through a difficult time at the moment, as evidenced by some of his recent social media posts.

Yesterday, the beloved rapper took to Instagram to ask for thoughts and prayers for his mother, though he did not specify any details surrounding her health condition. “Sending special prayers out for my mom this morning y’all pray for her and me,” wrote Snoop, alongside a lovely picture of his mom. Pete Davidson Had A Phone Call With Eminem After Playing Him On ‘SNL’: ‘I Hung Up As Quick As Possible’

In recent months, Pete Davidson has found himself a new recurring character on Saturday Night Live: Eminem. He played the rapper in a pair of memorable sketches from December and March. That gave Davidson the opportunity to get on the phone with Eminem, a conversation that he described to Seth Meyers on yesterday’s Late Night.

Davidson spoke about the call and explained why he hung up on Eminem “as quick as possible,” saying:

“It went I think as good as it could go. Those [sketches] were written by the great Dan Bulla and Steven Castillo, great SNL writers, and [Chris] Redd. Eminem said a couple nice things about me and I of course heard them. I reached out, I was like, ‘I would just like to say thank you.’ And I just hit him up and said thanks and he was like, ‘Yeah man, you really did that. When I saw Stu on script, I was like, I don’t know how it was going to go, but after you did that, it was fire.’ I was like, ‘Oh thank you so much, you’re the coolest,’ and then I just hung up as quick as possible. That’s all you need, you don’t want anything more.”

Meyers elaborated on Davidson’s point about hanging up, adding, “When you talk to a hero, you don’t want to extend it. If you’re good, get out,” and Davidson agreed. Davidson also briefly touched on playing Joey Ramone in the upcoming movie I Slept With Joey Ramone, describing the decision to get him involved with the film as “either a really great or horrible choice by a studio and we will find out.”

Meek Mill Buys $50K In Dogecoin: “I’m Tired Of Missing Out”

If you invested $1,000 into Dogecoin at the beginning of this year, you would have roughly $40,000 today. Early investors into the latest cryptocurrency trend, including Elon Musk and countless others who have been raving about the once-known meme coin, which uses a Shiba Inu’s face as its branding, are claiming that $DOGE will be worth even more before the end of this year.

The coin hit a new all-time high this week, surging 40% on Tuesday and prompting would-be investors to stock up on Doge. Even those that have been sitting on the sidelines for the last few months, including Meek Mill, have bitten the bullet, with the rapper revealing he bought $50,000 USD worth of Dogecoin last night.

“I just grabbed some doge I’m tired of missing out,” tweeted the Philadelphia-based artist on Tuesday night. He showed off his receipt too, proving that he acquired approximately 92,411 DOGE. With this investment, if the coin reaches an estimated $1 before the end of the year, Meek’s money will nearly double. It has the potential to skyrocket even further, especially if Elon Musk continues to push the coin on social media. Dogecoin to the moon?

Have you put any money into Dogecoin yet? Do you think Meek Mill’s investment will end up paying off in the long run? Let us know your thoughts.
