Tinashe Trends On Social Media After Teasing New Single

Tinashe released her fourth studio album Songs for You in November of 2019 after departing from her label RCA in February of that same year. Her first independent release via Tinashe Music Inc., after signing a management deal with Roc Nation, the project was praised by various publications for its creativity, production, and songwriting.

Seemingly gearing up to begin the rollout of her second full-length project since leaving RCA, she began teasing her upcoming fifth studio album last Friday (May 28). She shared a cryptic teaser for the project on her social media accounts with the caption “333,” which is speculated to be the title of the forthcoming effort. Following up the cryptic logo, she further teased the new era’s lead single on her respective socials on Tuesday.

“Summers coming round the corner, and now I’m feeling like I don’t even know ya….” penned the songstress in the caption of the teaser. The 30-second clip features a slow-groove instrumental of what is believed to be the lead single from the project.

As the music plays, she dons a bathrobe and sunglasses as she lounges by a pool reading a figurative Pasadena Post newspaper with the headline “Tinashe Teases New Music.” She sips on an iced drink as she does just that, giving the camera a wink as the trailer concludes.

Upon sharing the trailer, the 28-year-old multi-hyphenate began trending on social media as fans began buzzing about what could be in store for her next era. “Tinashe isn’t playing this era,” wrote one fan.

Another wrote, “Tinashe coming out with a new album and I haven’t finished emotionally processing Songs For You.” Check out more fan reactions to the exciting news.

In other Nashe news, she appeared on Jay-Z’s marijuana brand Monogram’s series High Tales where she opened up about what the flower means to her. “It’s been interesting to see how weed culture has changed over the past few years,” shares Tinashe in the video. “How we get our weed and talk about it has definitely evolved since it became legal, but at the end of the day, good weed still sets a special vibe.”

Let us know if you’re looking forward to 333 this summer down below.

Lil Yachty Asked Drake To Get Nicki Minaj To Unblock Him On Twitter

During a recent interview with TMZ about the return of live shows in 2021, Lil Yachty revealed that despite counting himself as one of Nicki Minaj’s biggest fans, Mrs. Petty still has him blocked over supporting Cardi B (with whom he shares a connection through Quality Control Music) during the two female stars’ tiff in 2018 — and the measures to which he’s gone to try to rectify the situation.

When the TMZ hosts brought up the inciting interview with their former colleague Raquel Harper on her show Raq Rants, Yachty chuckled. “It’s the Barbz, man!” he declared. “They still killing me!”

Explaining the situation, he said, “I’ve got a lot of love for Cardi B and she’s damn near a family member, so through whatever I’m gonna ride. I’ve loved Nicki Minaj since I was a child. Yesterday, I went on Twitter retweeting my tweets from middle school praising Nicki and I went on Instagram Live letting the world know that Nicki has me blocked from that interview. I even hit Drake, like, ‘Tell Nicki I love her!’ I checked this morning — I’m still blocked… I think she’s standing strong, but my love for Nicki is forever.”

Yachty’s not the only one with whom Queen Barb and her fans have had issues online. Lil Nas X apparently received enough backlash from Barbz mad about his previous denial (an unforgivable sin, clearly) over mentioning his prior love for Nicki Minaj on his new song “Sun Goes Down” that he made a statement on Twitter that he’d no longer mention her in his music.

Action Bronson Talks Self-Help, Diet, And How To Make Plant-Based Food That’s Legitimately Good

Action Bronson may have lost 140 pounds since last year, but he’s still got that unmistakable Action grin. It comes paired with a “smiling eyes” brand of warmth that’ll make you feel like you’ve known the guy for years. His vibe has always been to live loud. Smoke what you want, eat what you want, do what you want, and give yourself over completely to life’s pleasures. It’s part of what makes his personality so infectious and why people flock to catch his show F*ck That’s Delicious, currently airing on YouTube, which is literally just about Action eating at the places he likes to eat (now with more kettlebell squats!).

But if you were worried that the new, healthier Action Bronson might live like a monk, fear not. He’s still the same dude with the same passion for food and life. He just felt like the fast life was catching up to him and he needed an adjustment.

“I put it out there for people to be free and fat and this and that, and eat what you like,” he says. “But unfortunately, some people have genetics like me where it just fucking sticks to your ass. I wanted to make amends… I realized that I was a fuckhead and I should stop doing these things and change shit up.”

That realization came while the multi-hyphenate was working on his new self-help book, Fuck It I’ll Start Tomorrow, which Action admits began as an attempt to get a check before morphing into a genuine journey of self-examination. We linked up last week over Zoom to talk about writing the book, getting fit, eating plant-based, and how it will all affect Fuck That’s Delicious going forward.

***

Let’s talk a bit about your new book Fuck It I’ll Start Tomorrow. It’s positioned as a self-help book — what kind of lessons do you teach people in the book?

Deceit, lying, lying to yourself, coming to the realization that you’ve lied to yourself and you’ve lied to everybody else… you know all kinds of things. It’s experience-based, a lot of people can relate to some of the things I’m saying, but I wrote it with deceit in my mind. When I wrote the book I had no intention of putting my all into it, which is unfortunate because I only do things that I put my all into. This I did strictly because it was a check and a way to get to another cookbook, which I really wanted to do. I didn’t want to do a fucking self-help book because “I don’t fucking give a shit,” that was my attitude.

The bottom line is, this book was written with bad intentions but somehow it turned a mirror on me and I realized that I was a fuckhead and I should stop doing these things and change shit up. Never do anything that you don’t put your all into and this book taught me a lesson.

The book ended at the pandemic, it was a prequel to all the change that’s happened now, but it was a catalyst. The book was a catalyst unknowingly, I hated every second of it, you could ask Rachel Wharton the woman who wrote the book with me, James Beard award winner, two times New York best-selling author. She went through hell with me to do this shit, I feel terrible. At one point I called them up and was like “Yo, I’ll give you the money back I’m not fucking doing this.” It was a shit show, but I’m just glad everything worked out.

In the book, you could feel my pain and my joy.

This year has been a definite journey, you’ve totally changed your life and changed the way you eat. What has impacted you the most about transforming, not just the way you look physically, but your diet, which was originally built around excess?

I’ve always been able to eat right, I actually went to school and got a 100 in nutrition, I know what we’re supposed to eat. I know what we need to eat to be healthy, I know what not to eat, I know not to eat 10 desserts at one time, but I’m an addict.

You have to break through that addiction, but the mind is stronger than anything and I feel like my mind is ironclad. 140 pounds bro. That’s not easy, I was disgusted I had 140 to lose, I still got to lose another 20 to 30, it’s unreal. At least I’m at a normal weight now, before I was so abnormal, it was disgusting.

I caught some of the new episodes of Fuck That’s Delicious, and I noticed just because you’ve gotten healthy, you haven’t gotten soft, you’re rocking the kettle ball to the pizza joint, you’re still as passionate about food as you’ve always been. That’s particularly inspiring because you’ve changed your whole life around but you haven’t given up the joy, and I think that’s an important message to share with people. What was your thinking going into the new season?

My thinking going into it was pretty much trying to mix my new lifestyle with the show. Every time we do Fuck That’s Delicious, all this shit was made up because this is my life. It was chronicling my life with the homies, and that was it, we never put any stage shit on, it’s all just one take, put a camera on and we just lived. So I just put the camera on and lived again, and this is just the way I’m living now so we’re capturing this.

For so long, it’s been just “blast yourself with 45 meals a day and desserts. It’s okay, just laugh, drink your face off, and smoke your life away.” Yeah, cool. There comes a point where it catches up and it caught up heavy to me. I had to chill out but the love of food is always going to be there. It doesn’t mean you have to stop eating, it just means you have to stop being an animal.

You gotta know when to hold them and you gotta know when to fold them. I learned when to fold them. Before, I didn’t know how to fold them.

Right now you’ve got a partnership happening with Field Roast and their show Make Taste Happen, what should we expect out of that partnership?

Big things man, it’s exciting, I love doing things where it’s something I use organically and it’s not just some bullshit. I was once a little bit intimidated by food that was mimicking real food but is made with plants, but these things, they’ve made in an approachable way. I understand sausage, I understand the way it is, I understand what’s going on in the world now.

It’s innovative and delicious and healthy. It’s this canvas that allows you to make unbelievable things, not just from a taste angle alone. It allows you to imagine and take the mind places you’ve been in the past — some real nostalgia stuff.

What makes Field Roast different? Why partner with them?

Just in my own opinion, I’ve tried plant-based sausage and plant-based burgers, and the texture usually isn’t there. It’s grainy or the flavor is off. There are only a couple of brands that seem like they’re doing the right thing, and in my estimation, Field Roast has been the best product I’ve tried so far. It’s very versatile, it browns up the way it should, it tastes amazing, it’s a vehicle for all kinds of flavors.

If you just have a couple of items in your pantry it’s really all you need — you can create masterpieces.

What are some of your favorite things to prepare? You sent me a photo of you doing apple sausage, broccoli, onions — what are we cooking here?

See that’s a classic Italian dish, I believe it’s a Roman dish, when you do the sausage with the orecchiette, the little ear pasta, with the broccoli. I decided that I’m going to mimic a dish that I have and I love and make it ethnic as well and take you around the world and give you flavors that go “mmm.”

I made this unbelieved pistachio pesto [full recipe here] to top it with, you could eat it every day. Use a little bit of Sambal. People submitted some items that I should be using and they tried to trick me on some Chopped stuff but I just created a masterpiece.

Field Roast

What’s your secret to a plant-based meal?

Not treating it as if it’s something different. You don’t put white gloves on like “ooh its plant-based” you just hit it with hard flavor like you normally would. It’s all about flavor, good olive oil, good products, it’s still all about the products. Make sure you keep it nice and fresh and creative.

The Rock’s Muscles Astound Fans As He Shows Off Impressive Build & “Black Adam” Regimen

Actor, wrestler, and America’s sweetheart Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is back and continuing to impress fans with his work ethic and health. In preparation of the new DC movie Black Adam, where Johnson is set to star as the DC comic book villain, the actor is back in the gym, seemingly with a new approach to fitness.

Johnson looks as fit as ever, showing off robust gains and insane, boulder-like thighs, fitting for his new character. It’s hard to believe that such a physical feat is possible, especially for someone who’s spent decades in Hollywood, in the wrestling ring, and on football fields. Still, if his size and strength haven’t impressed you yet, this Instagram reveal, chock full of pulsing veins and sculpted arms is sure to set the record straight.

With the help of personal trainer Dave Rienzi, Johnson has embraced a more vigorous approach to his already-strenuous workout routine: “Been working extremely hard dieting, training and conditioning unlike any other role of my entire career.” The actor describes the process as highly-personalized, offering that Rienzi is “constantly fine tuning our strategy daily.”

Johnson certainly has every right to be proud of his hard work, though the “work” may speak for itself. While he’s still grateful and motivated at the gym, he admits in his caption that it hasn’t been easy: “Manipulating water, sodium, cardio but also having to push and pull real iron to have dense, dry, detailed muscle. It’s a real science that takes months and months to dial it all in.”

Will you be refreshing his Instagram page for updates or will you be in theaters next year to see how the regimen turns out? Let us know.

Nicki Minaj Earns Final Spot On 2010s Mount Rushmore List

Hip-hop Twitter has been debating all week about whose face should be added to RapCaviar’s official 2010s Mount Rushmore list. The ultra-popular Spotify playlist’s curators presented a list of some of the most influential rap artists of the last decade, adding Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole to the mock-up of Mount Rushmore. Asking hip-hop enthusiasts to help determine who should be the fourth face on the monument, RapCaviar received responses from just about everybody. Even LeBron James chimed in, claiming that Future should be given the final spot.

After LeBron vouched for Future, a defining artist of the decade slid into his replies and reminded him of her existence, tossing up an alley-oop and stating that there is only one correct response, and that’s Nicki Minaj. After the Barbz got started on the fan-determined poll established by RapCaviar, Nicki ended up being officially named the fourth face on Mount Rushmore.

“End of discussion @NICKIMINAJ,” wrote the heads of the playlist on Tuesday afternoon. The results of the poll show that out of over 170,000 votes, nearly 40% of people believed that Nicki should be added to the list. Kanye West received 33% of the vote and Future followed with 17%. Finally, Lil Wayne earned 9% of the vote.

Do you agree that Nicki Minaj deserved a spot at the table? It’s pretty difficult to argue otherwise so if you’ve got an argument, you better come correct.

Chris Brown Says He’s Not In A Rush To Release A New Album

It feels like Chris Brown has been using his time towards handling stand-out guest appearances than any solo music. The singer has been popping up on just about everyone’s track in the past year since releasing the 32-track Indigo album (with the exception of Slime & B with Young Thug).

Fans have been incredibly eager to hear Chris Brown deliver a new body of work. We will be outside this summer, after all. And what’s a summer without a Chris Brown banger blaring through the radio speakers? Unfortunately, it seems that we won’t be releasing a new album any time in the near future because Chris Breezy wants to leave his fans in anticipation of his next release. He broke the news on his Instagram Story earlier today. “I ain’t dropping my album until I’m ready,” he wrote. “I need to give y’all a chance to miss me.”

It’s unfortunate because he did preview some heat last October while suggesting that he would be releasing new music this year. However, you gotta trust the process. Given that Breezy has released two albums with over 30 songs each since 2017, there’s more than enough music to hold fans over until he slides through with his next album.

Hopefully, Breezy drops at least a new single to ride out to this summer. Peep his post below.

NLE Choppa Pays Tribute To Lil Loaded

On Monday, the world lost another extremely talented young rapper following the reported death of 20-year-old Dallas presence Lil Loaded. Born Dashawn Robertson, the rapper was reported to have passed away from a presumed suicide, as per his attorney. He was best known for his breakout single “6locc 6a6y,” which burst the rapper into rap stardom as a rising artist to keep a close eye on. Unfortunately, his trajectory was derailed when he caught a murder charge last year, which was later reduced to a manslaughter charge

Throughout his young career, Lil Loaded collaborated with a number of established artists in the game, including YG, Polo G, King Von, and others. He released the remix to “6locc 6a6y” in 2020 with NLE Choppa, who has officially shared his condolences on social media.

Learning of the rapper’s passing, NLE Choppa made reference to their collaborative record on Twitter. “You Seen Blocc Baby Go Gold. All That Matter,” he wrote, sharing a picture of the two together. Three days prior to his death, Lil Loaded had posted about “6locc 6a6y” being certified Gold by the RIAA, marking the moment as a special one in his career.

Lil Loaded had plenty of big things ahead of him in the music industry and it’s truly heartbreaking for him to be gone at such a young age. HNHH is sending our love to his family and loved ones at this difficult time.
