“Jackass 4” New Cast Members Announced

After differences that resulted in a restraining order against former co-star Bam Margera, the Jackass team has set out to replace the lost cast member with several new faces for the upcoming Jackass 4.

New additions to the wild crew include Odd Future founding member Jasper Dolphin — who recently “became a human beehive” for an installment of Vice’s JASPER & ERROL’S FIRST TIME.

Surfer Sean McInerney, a.k.a. Poopsies slid his way into the cast thanks to his stunt work with professional surfer Jamie O’ Brien on Red Bull’s Who is JOB.

Zach Holmes, affectionately better known as “Zackass”, earned a spot on the team likely because of his experience on films such as Too Stupid To Die and his own prank Youtube page with over 30K subscribers.

Each new member of the team seems perfectly on par with the daring stunts and prank-filled comedy creations that uphold the Jackass name.

The film will also bring back Jackass veterans Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Wee Man, and Preston Lacy.

In an interview with GQ last month, Jackass OG Johnny Knoxville revealed that Jackass 4 will be his final run with the franchise in order to not press his luck stating, “You can only take so many chances before something irreversible happens,” he said. “I feel like I’ve been extremely lucky to take the chances I’ve taken and still be walking around.”

Jackass 4 is set to release on October 22.

Tamir Rice’s Mother Calls Out Shaun King: “You Are [An] Imposter That Cannot Be Trusted”

Samaria Rice, the mother of Tamir Rice, went public on Instagram with a statement that heavily criticized activist Shaun King for publicizing a private conversation they had about the amount of money he raised for her following her son’s death. Tamir was killed at the age of 12 at the hands of police in 2014 when a police officer immediately fired shots at him for carrying a replica toy gun.

King runs and writes for a journalism blog called “The North Star with Shaun King” and published a record of a conversation he had with Samaria on Tuesday that was since taken down. In the piece, he emphasized the amount of fundraising he did for Samaria in the wake of Tamir’s death, but since the post’s removal, the sole remains of the piece is a podcast episode of the same topic with a dead link to the episode. Samaria responded to the removed-published piece Tuesday on Instagram, highlighting some very choice words for the outspoken activist, as well as some previously-iterated concerns about King.

In the statement, she questioned why King felt the need to go public with the conversation they had, remarking that it was uncomfortable and toxic to have. She also asserted that she never gave him permission to raise money for Tamir and that his actions following Tamir’s death and other killings of black individuals at the hands of police are performative and capitalize on the hurt of grieving families, while he himself, is a white man posing to be a black man.

She wrote,

“Why do you think it’s so important to tell folks we had a conversation? Well we talked and everything that was said was very toxic and uncomfortable for me to hear that you raised additional money and then say you did not want to bother me. Personally, I don’t understand how you sleep at night. I never gave you permission to raise nothing. Along with the United States, you robbed me for the death of my son.

You gave me a cop and donut conversation. All lies Shaun, please stop thinking we on the same page. As a white man acting black, you are [an] imposter that cannot be trusted.”

She concluded her statement: “Tamir human rights was violated, why would you ever make it about you? You are a selfish self-centered person and god will deal with you white man.”

Samaria has called out other activists in the past, criticizing and accusing Tamika Mallory of clout chasing in March for helping curate Lil Baby’s Grammys performance. She ended her statement by questioning King’s motives in making the conversation about himself and his efforts while she’s still grieving and fighting for the Department of Justice to reopen Tamir’s case.

Devin Booker Busts His Nose & Returns Mid-Game

Tough as nails would be an understatement when delving into the type of player Devin Booker is becoming. Smooth, skilled, and fearless, and now with an unbelievably, swollen nose to boot.Coming off a shouldering 40-point triple-double in Game 1 against the Los Angeles Clippers, the two-guard collided with your favorite player’s (likely) least favorite player, Patrick Beverley.

Though returning to the game in its final quarter, Booker received a pair of stitches on what turned out to be a rather nasty hit. According to TMZ, NBA Coach of the Year Monty Williams heralded his star for his willingness to play, saying “He was probably playing with a great deal of pain.” To say “probably” downplays it, as a photo of this man’s nose from any angle can surely do his coach’s statement justice.

Though taking a 2-0 lead against an injury-riddled Clippers squad has likely managed to heal that wound, Booker is expected to wear a mask in Game 3 at Staples Center this upcoming Thursday. In the house that Kobe built, and wore a mask of his own in, it’ll be interesting to see how this plays a part in his game. Better yet, it’ll be even more interesting to see how many more analysts choose to draw parallels between him and Bryant. For the meantime, Book and his Suns are two wins away from Phoenix’s first final berth since 1992.

Rowdy Rebel Sets It Off Over Meek Mill’s “Flamerz Flow”

Fans have been eagerly anticipating a new album from Meek Mill, Rowdy Rebel, and Bobby Shmurda. It’s obvious why people are anticipating Rowdy and Bobby since they haven’t released any projects since their 2014 arrest. As for Meek, his recent slew of freestyles and snippets have proven that he works his best when he’s off of Twitter. Meek slid through with the release of “Flamerz Flow” earlier this month which included cameos from Dave East and Bobby Shmurda.

While Rowdy was recently spotted in the studio with Meek recording a separate track, he slid through this weekend with the release of his own freestyle over Meek’s latest release. Rowdy’s charisma and personality pop out on his new release, reflecting on remaining solid and his triumphant return to the game. “N***as wanna fight us/ Bidded with the lifers,” he raps. “Turnt up on Rikers/ Know a n***a who don’t got it/ N***a, he a knife ya.”

The video ends with the announcement of his forthcoming album, Sacrifices which he says is on the way. Peep the freestyle below.

Quotable Lyrics
Man, ask about the gang, how we been lit
And even up North, I was drippin’ with my clique, clique
Peelin’ with a misfit, boy, don’t get your shit split
You dealin’ with a n***a that shoot a pistol ’til the shit click

Rick Ross & Others React To Absence Of Tuna DNA In Subway’s Tuna Sandwhich

At the start of 2021, things took a turn for the worst for Subway, as a shocking lawsuit filed in Northern California accused the restaurant of misleading customers with its popular tuna sandwich. The suit alleges that instead of using real tuna, the restaurant packs its tuna sandwiches with “a mixture of various concoctions that do not constitute tuna.” Subway was quick to refute those claims, and in January, the company blasted the person behind the lawsuit for threatening the livelihoods of franchisees.

Months later, however, it looks like there is actually something really fishy going on with tuna used at various Northern California Subways. The New York Times recently published a which revealed that their independent lab tests also found that Subway’s tuna may not be what customers think it is.

A tuna sandwich from Subway is displayed on June 22, 2021 in San Anselmo, California. A recent lab analysis of tuna used in Subway sandwiches commissioned by the New York Times did not reveal any tuna DNA in samples taken from Subway tuna sandwiches. The lab was unable to pinpoint a species in the tuna samples from three Los Angeles area Subway sandwich shops.

According to Complex, the New York Times submitted “60 inches worth of Subway tuna sandwiches” from three separate Los Angeles locations for lab analysis, and in the results, there wasn’t any amplifiable tuna DNA. While many skeptics have jumped to the conclusion that Subway has been serving fake tuna, the report does admit that heavy processing could have thrown off the results.

Regardless, rappers, producers, and celebrities alike have taken the opportunity to react to Subway’s tuna sandwich essentially being exposed. Rick Ross slammed the sandwich restaurant’s lack of transparency and promoted Wing Stop’s new offshoot Thigh Stop. “Wow! @thighstop winning,” the Port of Miami 2 wrote under Complex’s Instagram post about Subway. “@subway our lemon pepper is lemon pepper.”

Other public figures like Pi’erre Bourne and Ben Baller also took a moment to react to the unbelievable news. “Wtf have I been eating bruh,” the Life of Pi’erre 5 artist wrote. Ben Baller echoed the producer’s sentiment saying “I’ve eaten at least 100 of those subs. So what the hell is in it then?”

Stay tuned to see if Subway steps up once again to combat the claims made against its now-infamous tuna sandwich.

Conway The Machine & Jim Jones Determined To Battle

If there’s one thing that hip-hop’s many great emcees share, it’s a competitive spirit. Understandable, given that battling has been a foundational part of the culture, with artists like Eminem, JAY-Z, DMX, Raekwon, Method Man, and Busta Rhymes having all dabbled in lyrical bloodsport during their formative years. To this day, all it takes is one simple top ten list to go viral — after that, there’s no telling what matter of hell might break loose.

It began when B. Dot Miller shared his own Top 10 Best Rappers Of 2021 list, which ultimately placed Conway The Machine at 4 and Jim Jones at 10. Evidently, Jones did not appreciate his placement at the bottom, going so far as to suggest he’d make short work out of anyone else included.

Being a competitor to the fullest extent, Machine didn’t exactly take kindly to Jone’s anybody can get it mentality, countering that he would be more than willing to battle it out in a true display of dominance.

“I’m minding my business tryna enjoy my 2 Michelin star dinner right now but fuck it I got a little time on my hands,” captions Machine, sharing a clip of the Dipset lyricist. “@bdottm @complex u already KNOW capo can’t fuck wit me…” The callout prompted Jones to slide into the comments, flexing longevity and inviting Conway to pick an era. Naturally, Machine opted for “The Griselda Era.”

Given that it was his list that kickstarted the situation to begin with, it’s no surprise that things came full circle back to B Dot. Taking to Twitter, the media host set the stage for a potential battle to take place, calling upon Boi-1da to provide the beats. Conway wasn’t having it, however, making it clear that it’s longtime collaborator Daringer who deserves the honor.

“Foh @bdotTM it’s daringer time plus I already put work in on heatmakers and fraud beats on bro last 3 albums,” writes Machine. “I got home field advantage now.”

At this moment, it’s unclear as to how this battle might come together — though Jones has expressed interest in doing something face-to-face, which would certainly make for an exciting event. After all, that’s what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object, and seeing two of the game’s sharpest lyricists going head to head would do wonders in bringing bars back to the forefront of the culture…where they rightfully belong.

Were Jones and Machine to do battle, who are you voting for?

Tyler, The Creator Shares Outrageous “Brown Sugar Salmon” Album Teaser

Tyler, The Creator is releasing his new album Call Me If You Get Lost in a couple of days, and judging from the two singles he’s dropped, as well as the conceptual album teasers he’s shared, many believe it could be a strong Album of the Year contender. As we wait to see if the album lives up to the hype, the constantly evolving recording artist shared his latest video teaser titled “BROWN SUGAR SALMON,” which will bring you even further into the world of Mr. Beaudelaire.

Taking on his new alter ego, Tyler took a scenic train ride and politely asked an attendant for the dinner specials. Despite being informed about the braised bohemian beef and brown sugar salmon meals, Tyler was declined any food by the attendant and her manager, who both shut down his request for the salmon. Even when he settled for the beef, he was informed that they were out of the necessary ingredients. Then, Tyler was told that he could have a complimentary yogurt with granola before finding out that even that was out of stock.

There’s no new music in the latest album teaser for Call Me If You Get Lost but you’ll get a strong sense of what type of content we can expect from the upcoming album.

Ludacris Only Realized His Home Had A Tennis Court Because Of Quarantine

Over the past year, we’ve all had a lot of time to sit at home and discover ourselves, but one person had time to discover new things about his home. Ludacris, who will make his latest appearance as hacker Tej Parker in F9 this Friday, told Ellen DeGeneres that during quarantine, he found out that his home had more amenities than he’d ever thought, including a tennis court and saunas — something he didn’t realize until he was forced, like the rest of us, to work from home for a while. Apparently, the ‘Scatter Brain’ rapper has never properly perused his 22-acre property as a result of his busy lifestyle.

“This is probably the best property to quarantine at, besides your house, of course,” he told DeGeneres. “I have like 22 acres of land. You know, I’m so used to traveling and never being here, so I’m finally able to enjoy the fruits of my labor. I’m finding things in my home and on my property that I never even knew were there. I actually have a tennis court, if you could believe it or not. I didn’t even know that this was on the property. Treehouses, saunas that I’m finding, that’s how much I was gone.

However, he continued, he enjoyed the process because “I’m able to finally relax and enjoy this property that I’ve spent so much money on.”

Like the rest of us, though, he did have some time to work on self-improvement, as well — and even turned it into Content. He secured a television special about learning to cook and posted a video of himself flying a plane which went viral on social media. Looks like Tej is picking up some new skills for his next outing, in which, yes, the Fast And Furious franchise finally goes to space. He also got back to his day job, dropping off verses on Justin Bieber’s “Peaches” remix and on Conway The Machine’s “Scatter Brain” with JID.
