HoneyKomb Brazy Faces Parole Violation Accusations Over Music Video

HoneyKomb Brazy remains in the news due to a steady stream of legal-facing issues. The latest one stems from the release of the Alabama rapper’s music video for his single “Dead People,” featuring J. Prince. He is being accused of violating his parole with the music video, for illegal gun possession, as well as possession of marijuana.

HoneyKomb Brazy appeared in court on Wednesday, June 16th to answer to the charges brought against him, and he plead not guilty. He was first arrested in May on an outstanding warrant related to parole violations that stemmed from a shootout between his group and a rival group. There’s allegedly video evidence that shows Brazy brandishing a gun and shooting at a competitor crew in front of a Montgomery barbershop, while the rapper’s grandparents’ tragic death earlier this year also appears to have stemmed from some sort of rival shooting.

As far as the latest parole violation accusations, on top of using music videos as evidence, prosecutors also showed social media images of the rapper with what appeared to be guns. Nonetheless, HoneyKomb’s stepmother and business manager testified that the weapons were props, and thus was the defense. The music video producer, Reshad McCall, validated Brazy’s stepmother’s testimony as well.

“We prop everything. … We’re strict on that. We control everything, I personally ordered them. I’ve got receipts for them,” he added to her story.

The rapper’s attorney, Jeff Deen, also spoke to Fox10News following the court hearing, stating, “It comes with the industry. It’s shocking to some of us, but that’s how they make their money. And it’s a very lucrative market, and this young man has a lot of talent. He’s a go-getter.”

The judge has yet to rule on revoking HoneyKomb Brazy’s probation.

Check out the music video for the record in question below. We’ll keep you posted on HoneyKomb Brazy’s case.

Rick Ross Launches Thighstop To Help Deal With Chicken Wing Shortage

If COVID-19 wasn’t already enough for Americans to deal with, the addition of a mysterious pandemic-related chicken shortage might just do the trick. As previously reported, prices of poultry in the states have gone up tremendously as the supply of chicken decreases and the demand increases.

This has become an issue for retailers across the country who rely on poultry for their business. For Rick Ross, this poses a threat to his Wingstop business venture, selling wings as part of his expansive business portfolio. The rap mogul, who owns 28 Wingstop franchises, will expand the offerings at his 28 franchises to include thighs to deal with the unsuspected shortage

Thighstop is the newly launched digital brand that allows customers to order thighs for pickup or delivery through Doordash from the website. According to the site, different Thighstop flavors were handcrafted with different sides and dips, and can be selected with or without the bones.

While the new thigh offerings will be available at all of Ross’ locations, it’s part of a company-wide initiative to add the online-only Thighstop to Wingstop’s offering.

“We back outside, and it’s time to take it to the next level,” Ross said in an interview with yahoo sports! about the new venture. “We know how Wingstop perfected wings. Now, just imagine that juiciest part of the meat, and we boss it up, baby.”

Killer Mike Is Making A Cameo In The Fourth Season Of ‘Ozark’

According to a new feature on Billboard, Atlanta rapper Killer Mike has been cast in a cameo role in the fourth-and-final season of Netflix’s award-winning crime drama Ozark. Mike has apparently been a fan of the show for some time, remarking, “I went from waiting to find out what happens next to being part of it … I’m excited.” Although details about the role are sparse, according to Billboard, Mike’s character will meet teen criminal Ruth Langmore “at her lowest point.”

Emmy Award winner Julia Garner, who portrays Ruth, recently joked that she wanted to tell off anti-maskers at the real-life Lake of the Ozarks in-character on social media. The show recently wrapped up a production that was hampered by COVID-19 safety protocols which changed the way the show was shot, so her reaction is understandable. Co-star Jason Bateman remarked that it broke his heart to break the tradition of directing an episode or two himself, but he was willing to make the sacrifice to get the supersized season completed on-scheduled.

Meanwhile, Killer Mike had to make some similar tough business decisions regarding his barbershop, which he didn’t reopen during Georgia’s first wave of attempts to get back to normal last spring. Now that live entertainment is slowly coming back, though, he’ll be on tour with Run The Jewels and Rage Against The Machine next year.

Tyler The Creator Road Trips In His Flirtatious ‘Wusyaname’ Video

Tyler The Creator’s Call Me If You Get Lost rollout continues with the retro-styled, flirtatious video for its latest single “Wusyaname.” As with previous videos, the narrative revolves around Tyler’s pursuit (in character as Tyler Baudelaire) of actress Helena Howard, who appears to be in a relationship with Odd Future’s Taco. Tyler teased the storyline with his “Side Street” album trailer, while the opening monologue in “Wusyaname” mirrors a similar speech in the video for “Lumberjack.” Also as in “Lumberjack,” “Wusyaname” features shouted ad-libs from DJ Drama.

The lyrics to the new track find Tyler making a play on an unknown woman over a sample of ’90s R&B group H-Town’s “Back Seat (Wit No Sheets).” “You pick a spot, I’ll pick a tail number, we can be tourists,” he beckons. “Let’s go to Cannes and watch a couple indie movies that you never heard of.” The video ends once again with a title card featuring the new aesthetic for the Call Me If You Get Lost era, as well as its unofficial, sitcom-esque theme song.

In addition to putting out the album in just three days, on June 25, Tyler is set to perform at the 2021 BET Awards this weekend.

Call Me If You Get Lost is out 6/25 via Columbia Records. Get it here.

T-Pain Says He Still Loves & Respects Usher Despite Mean Comments

In a recent interview, T-Pain discussed the comments Usher once made to him on a flight going to the BET Awards in 2013. Pain alleged that Usher told him to his face that he “really f*cked up music.”

“Usher was my friend. He was like, ‘You really, like, fucked up music for real singers,'” Pain recalls in the clip. “Literally, at that point, I couldn’t listen. Is he right? Did I fuck up music? And that is the very moment — and I don’t think I realized this for a long time. That’s the very moment that started a four-year depression for me.”

While the clip ultimately went viral and fans have been demanding that Usher offer an apology to T-Pain, the “Can’t Believe It” singer explained that he harbors no ill feelings towards the “Burn” artist.

I still love and respect @Usher telling that story was in no way meant to disrespect that man. Ppl talk shit about me 24/7 but when it comes from someone you truly respect it hits very different. I never said f*ck Ursh it was a drop in the ocean of shit I was already goin through,” Pain tweeted. As Twitter attempted to bring up that time Pain tried to ask about the public’s stance on Tory Lanez, T-Pain explained how he wants no part of the “Stan convo.”

“And for the ppl goin back 48 weeks to dig up a tweet,” he continued. “Pls find something to do. That was before shawty said anything and the song never came out after I got the information I needed. Leave me out of the Stan convo thanx.”

New “The Suicide Squad” Trailer Reveals Who Shot Superman: Watch

Fans of the DC Extended Universe have been waiting patiently for the standalone sequel of the 2016 film Suicide Squad. The forthcoming film, which features an ensemble cast of Hollywood’s most elite actors, has received a new trailer, although it seems it was leaked online earlier than expected.

The fresh trailer, which is available on YouTube through an unlisted video dubbed “The Suicide Squad – Early Access Trailer Do Not Share,” highlights Suicide Squad member Bloodsport, who will be played by Idris Elba. James Gunn took to Twitter to joke about the circulating trailer, placing blame on some of the cast members for debuting the trailer online early. A first look trailer was already dropped back in March.

“It seems like Margot…John Cena, Idris Elba…have already done that earlier than expected. How dare they,” tweeted Gunn in response to a fan asking for a trailer. As for the contents of the new trailer, Idris Elba’s Bloodsport is spotlighted in the action-packed clip. Bloodsport is the tech-enhanced mercenary who went to prison for shooting Superman with a kryptonite bullet, which earned the applaud and attention of squad boss Amanda Walker (Viola Davis).

Elsewhere in the trailer, you also see more of Sylvester Stallone’s King Shark character, the fan-favorite Margot Robbie rendition of Harley Quinn, and the rest of the team continuing their tirade already witnessed in the previous trailer. In addition, Pete Davidson stars as Blackguard, David Dastmalchian as Polka-Dot Man, Alice Braga as Sul Soria, Daniela Melchior as Ratcatcher 2, Nathan Fillion as T.D.K., Mayling Ng as Mongal, Michael Rooker as Savant, Peter Capaldi as Thinker, Sean Gunn as Weasel and Flula Borg as Javelin.

The Suicide Squad is scheduled to hit theaters and HBO Max on August 6th. Although briefly being fired as director, his next superhero project will still be MCU’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which is set to arrive in May of 2023. Check out the new trailer above.
