Meek Mill Ruined His Tweet For LA Fire Victims With A Confusing Childhood Story About A House Fire

As of this writing, thousands of resident of northwest Los Angeles County have been displaced by a trio of massive fires raging through areas that haven’t seen wildfire damage in decades. In times past — let’s call it, “Pre-Elon” — social media has been a valuable resource for coordinating evacuations and relief efforts, as well as sharing messages of solidarity for those displaced.

While the radicalization of Twitter has put a damper on its utility, some folks are still trying to use it to uplift victims. One of those folks was Meek Mill, but his supportive tweet was marred by his signature stilted delivery. “Prayers to la,” he wrote. “I never knew about fire trauma until my house caught on fire…. I was smelling fire in my sleep jumping up for 3 years… I didnt know that type of trauma existed, so I was just dealing with it as a kid!”

Now, he’s right about the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder, which can cause people to have flashbacks. And trying to empathize is almost never a negative impulse. But something about the jumbled wording of the tweet rubbed fans the wrong way. Meek’s had a long history of posting awkward or upsetting things on Twitter, so even if his intentions were good, the end result was a bit of a “Where’s Ja?” situation.

“‘Prayers to la’ was enough to tweet,” one fan reminded him. Another pointed out why Meek’s tweets — even when well-intentioned — tend to go awry: “N****s take a serious situation and make it about them just send prayers and go on about your day,” they wrote. Meanwhile, several other users merely responded with photos and memes expressing confusion and dismay.

Still, it’s endearing that Meek is making the effort. Ever since you-know-who bought Twitter, it’s been kind of a cesspool, so even one person trying to empathize can make this marginally better.

SZA Is More Than Open To Making A Collab Album With Kendrick Lamar: “I Would Love That”

Since 2014, SZA and Kendrick Lamar have had a pretty flawless stretch of collaborations. No matter the vibe, they seem to always be on the same page on a track. In addition to just making great music, they have done serious numbers in terms of sales, streams, and etc. 2024 finally saw them reconvene after delivering “All The Stars” in 2018 for the Black Panther soundtrack, their biggest commercial hit. Kendrick grabbed her for two features on his surprise GNX project, with their team-ups being on “luther” and “gloria.” Then, Lamar returned the favor and assisted SZA for her SOS Deluxe: LANA cut, “30 For 30.”

Despite the long hiatus in between joint efforts, they still sounded as great as ever together. Perhaps they’ve been listening to the fans because they are now going to be going on tour in mid-April for K. Dot’s Grand National Tour. This has left everyone clamoring for a future full album as a duo, with SZA being the one to respond to the rampant demands. She recently left fans going wild after leaving a tantalizing response to a fan making a TikTok begging for them to pull through.

SZA Seems Just As Eager As The Fans

“Gotta ask the big guy🤷🏾‍♀️ she replied. Now, she’s practically expressing the same amount of excitement to this idea, doing so on Sherri Shepherd’s talk show. After praising SZA and Kendrick’s past songs, she asked, “Would you and [him] together consider doing a joint album?” The “Snooze” songwriter replied in a hilarious but serious manner, “I would love that.” “I think that would be amazing,” she added.

She then went on to gush about how much of a visionary he is, “He’s such a genius, and part of his genius is him being so elusive, and so mysterious, and I love it. I don’t know what’s going on as much as you don’t know what’s going on. When ‘Luther’ came on, I said, ‘OK, that’s the vocals we’re using, period,’ and same with Gloria: I said, ‘OK,’ and I love that.” She continued, “I’m just trusting all of his expertise and being thrust into these moments and spotlight and saying yes, and he’s so good at saying yes but staying grounded, so I’m just like, ‘Teach me, sensei, what you know.’” For now, we will just have to keep our eyes peeled around the spring and maybe everyone’s dreams will come true.

LeBron James’ Incredible Highlight Has YesJulz In Awe And The Internet Reigniting Their Affair Rumors

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers took a quick flight to Dallas, Texas to take on the undermanned Mavericks. Shockingly, he and his squad would go on to lose 97-118, but The King left with a major highlight. In the opening quarter, the 40-year-old James barreled down the lane for monstrous and sick windmill dunk over Mavs center Dereck Lively II. Making it all the more impressive (despite his age) is the fact that he was able to switch hands mid-air before jamming it home. It had the bench and even the home crowd buzzing, as well as the internet.

So many were left in utter shock and awe, including social media influencer, YesJulz. All she could comment in reply to the clip were “😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨” emojis. So, why are we bringing up the former YEEZY employee’s reaction anyway? Well, throughout the years, affair rumors have been swirling around her and LeBron James. It’s been going since 2014, the year after he married his high school sweetheart, Savannah. They obviously have quite the family, as they share three kids Bronny, Bryce, and Zhuri.

YesJulz Is Always Going To “Celebrate LeBron James’ Wins”

For these last 11 years, YesJulz has done all she can to combat these rumors. For example, according to Complex, in June 2023, she went on an Instagram Live to deny having any sort of romantic past. Instead, she explained that she was dating one of James’ friends. She doubled down on the matter back then, adding that she would never interfere due to having the “utmost respect for Savannah.”

Julz continued, “Love her. I think she’s amazing. They have a beautiful family and I’m really f***ing tired of this stain being put on my name.” However, almost two whole years later, the internet is still driving this narrative following her aforementioned reaction to LeBron’s superhuman play. One X user encouraged YesJulz to “read the room,” especially after Drake’s recent freestyle. This led her to clap back with, “You really think I give af about ya’lls baseless rumors? Bron is my fav player and the 🐐 I will always celebrate his wins!” It’s unfortunate she has to continue harboring this, but it should be pretty clear she just has a lot of mutual respect for his craft.

Wack 100 Addresses Rumors He Got Stripped During Brawl Outside Of “No Jumper” Studio

Earlier this week, a viral brawl took place outside of the No Jumper studio in Los Angeles. In no time, rumors about the brutal altercation began to make their rounds online, along with speculation about who was involved. Some even theorized that one of the men assaulted was Wack 100. While this has proven to be untrue, he discussed the debacle during a recent interview with VladTV.

During the interview, Wack clarified that he was not trying to get involved. According to him, he had already retreated to a car by the time someone allegedly pulled a gun out. He explained that he was simply prioritizing the safety of both himself and his crew, shutting down any and all outlandish rumors circulating on the internet.

Wack 100 Reflects On Viral Brawl Outside Of No Jumper Studio

“What was unique about was, if my people would have started reacting, it was so many extra people there that my people didn’t know that my team could have ended up clashing with the losing team,” he said. “Because it was so many people there that people didn’t know… Before you know it it would have went from one thing to a whole other thing.” Wack continued, suggesting that the incident might serve as a good example of what could happen if one decides to take their trolling offline.

Wack’s latest remarks come just days after Adam22 confronted him about the brawl, accusing him of orchestrating it. “I would start with the fact that there was a pretty vicious assault that took place at my facility, and you seem weirdly unapologetic about it,” he said last week. “You don’t seem terribly concerned about it. Whereas for me, this has been a significant source of bad press as well as a potential legal risk.” Wack pushed back, arguing that he wasn’t happy about the “bad press” he’s gotten amid rumors that he got beat up.

[SEE IT] LiAngelo Ball’s Viral Song “Tweaker” Sparks Remix Offers from Moneybagg Yo, Boosie Badazz

LiAngelo Ball’s debut single “Tweaker,” is that song. Period. Tweaker fits the bill in what the world would consider a viral hit. Is it for the moment or a sign of a real career in music for Ball, remains to be seen but like most of pop culture, we’re rooting for him.

Released under his rap name G3 GELO, the track’s infectious hook and nostalgic 90s-inspired beat have caught the attention of fans and industry veterans alike, setting the stage for LiAngelo’s musical rise.

The song’s catchy, bass-heavy instrumental has taken over social media, with snippets being shared everywhere from Instagram stories to even legacy media outlets.

Get this, this joint is getting the respect from other artists, including rappers Moneybagg Yo and Boosie Badazz, both of whom are eager to jump on the track.

When it comes to Moneybagg Yo, he wasted no time in showing his support for LiAngelo’s musical debut, taking to X (formerly Twitter) to offer his services for a remix. “@“LiAngeloBall send me da open verse ima tweak 🔥🗣,” Bagg wrote, signaling that he’s ready to add his flavor to the track.

What’s more, Boosie Badazz also voiced his interest, tagging LiAngelo and writing, “Send da verse @LiAngeloBall ‼‼” The veteran rapper’s shout-out adds to the growing list of co-signs for the song, which is rapidly gaining momentum.

What’s dope is it isn’t just the hip-hop community that’s backing LiAngelo. TMZ caught up with DJ Paul of Three 6 Mafia, who weighed in on the track’s retro sound. Paul, who immediately recognized the influence of classic 90s hip-hop, shared his thoughts on the song’s production. “When I heard the song, the first thing that came to mind was some Mannie Fresh/Juvenile,” Paul said, referencing the iconic Cash Money duo. “The whole Cash Money vibe is there. Whoever produced this song, I think they were inspired by some Juvenile and some Mannie Fresh.”

As for LiAngelo Ball, he isn’t just letting the success of his debut single simmer online; fans will get the chance to see him perform “Tweaker” live at Rolling Loud California in March. The pro basketball player will make his festival debut, sharing the stage with artists like A$AP Rocky, Playboi Carti, and Peso Pluma.

For now, “Tweaker” is making its rounds. Let’s just celebrate LiAngelo’s transition from athlete to artist, and how this move is resonating with the culture. If you haven’t checked it out yet, don’t miss G3 GELO’s debut hit below.

As for the record. Press play again. No pressure!

[WATCH] LeBron James Delivers Incredible Dunk at 40, Proving Father Time is Not Here Yet

It’s just wild how LeBron James continues to defy age and expectations, proving at 40 years old he is still that dude. While debates swirl about where James ranks among the all-time basketball greats, one thing is clear: his sustained excellence, especially in his 22nd season, is unparalleled in NBA history. And on Tuesday night, he reminded everyone why.

Okay it all went down with 8:06 left in the first quarter of the Lakers’ matchup against the Dallas Mavericks, James delivered what may be the best dunk of his career — and he did it at the age of 40. The play started with Rui Hachimura missing a corner three-pointer. Lakers guard Max Christie grabbed the rebound and quickly pushed the ball upcourt. Spotting James streaking toward the top of the key, Christie sent a perfectly timed pass in rhythm, and LeBron took it from there.

Get this, after a single dribble near the foul line, James charged down the lane at full speed. When Mavericks’ 7-foot-1 center Dereck Lively stepped up to challenge at the rim, James switched gears, switching the ball to his left hand mid-air. In one fluid motion, he completed a windmill dunk that left Lively helpless.

The eye popping play had the Lakers bench erupting in excitement, and TNT commentator Kevin Harlan couldn’t help but praise the incredible display of athleticism. But what really set the play apart wasn’t just the dunk itself — it was what came next. After hammering the ball through the hoop, James immediately sprinted down the court and stole the Mavericks’ inbounds pass, quickly transitioning to defense. It was a perfect example of the all-around impact LeBron still has on the game.

What does this all mean? At 40, LeBron James continues to defy the limits of what we expect from players in their 20th season. Whether it’s jaw-dropping dunks, clutch plays, or leadership, James shows no signs of losing his edge anytime soon. If anything, he’s proving that his place in NBA history is still very much alive and well.
