LiAngelo Ball (aka Gelo) has one of the most popular songs out right now, which is definitely not something anyone expected to be the case to start 2025. His song “Tweakers” became a viral sensation, with folks creating a ton of videos having some fun with its retro sound, dressing and dancing like it’s 2003 again to the incredibly catchy hook.

It has not only become a favorite of social media but of NBA and NFL teams too, and can be heard in arenas and locker rooms all over. The Cavs have adopted it as one of their celebratory songs after a win. While the arena played it after they beat the Hornets to poke some fun at LaMelo Ball, the Cavs locker room has embraced the song earnestly. After their big win on Wednesday night against the Thunder, Darius Garland confirmed to ESPN’s Michael Eaves that he would be putting Gelo on in the locker room when he got in there, and also teased that there’s a new track coming on Friday from the middle Ball brother.

“I got the aux. You know we gonna bump Gelo,” Garland said. “Shout out to my boy Gelo, he got a banger — he got another one comin’ out Friday, I heard. So we gonna be in tune for that one.”

We’ll see if Garland’s sources are correct, but it’d make sense for Gelo to try and capitalize on his moment with another song. He already got a spot at Rolling Loud California to go along with his viral fame and spot on seemingly every locker room playlist, and now he’ll try to back it up with another banger for this weekend.

Joe Budden Delivers His Take On LiAngelo Ball’s Viral Single “Tweaker”

2025 is off to a strong start for LiAngelo Ball, whose new single “Tweaker” only continues to go viral. He first previewed the song during a stream with N3on earlier this month and dropped the full version a few days later. It’s since received a great deal of praise from fans and peers alike, with huge artists like Boosie Badazz and MoneyBagg Yo even offering to hop on remixes.

Of course, this means the track was one of the first things Joe Budden discussed in the latest episode of his podcast. Needless to say, his feedback was nothing but positive. “On the credits, it says that LaMelo produced this,” he began. “It says he produced and arranged it, it says that Lonzo wrote it, and it says that LiAngelo performed it… I love that about them.” Budden continued, revealing that he’s a fan of all the memes he’s been seeing about the viral song lately.

Joe Budden Is A Fan Of LiAngelo Ball’s Viral Hit

“This sh*t do sound like a Big Tymers record to me,” he also added. “I like the song. I like the song, I ain’t gon’ lie, sorry.” Budden and his co-hosts went on to debate whether or not Ball could successfully release an album. While Budden didn’t seem entirely sure about this, his co-hosts appeared to believe it wasn’t off the table. “I think a lot of these n****s got a album in them though,” Ice explained. “This ain’t Allen Iverson doing ’40 Bars’ again where they’re like interjecting hip-hop into the NBA. This is a new era, like all of these n****s grew up literally on hip-hop.”

LiAngelo Ball’s viral song wasn’t the only thing Budden addressed during the episode, as he also discussed his recent lewdness charge. Reportedly, a neighbor captured the personality trying to get into his apartment on his Ring doorbell camera while completely naked in December. Budden, who has been open about his sleepwalking habits in the past, fortunately beat the case.

Joe Budden Admits He Wanted Drake On Lil Baby’s New Album, “Wham”

Joe Budden and his podcast co-hosts discussed Lil Baby’s polarizing new album, Wham, this week, suggesting that the project was missing a collaboration with Drake. The conversation began with the crew mostly agreeing that Baby should’ve found a way to get Drake on the tracklist. Eventually, Budden noted that he hadn’t heard Drake on any hip-hop features since the beef with Kendrick Lamar kicked off, early last year. He did work with Camila Cabello and Gordo in 2024.

As for the album as a whole, Budden went against the grain, admitting that he liked Wham. As for the backlash to the project, he said: “I think there was a period where anytime you heard his voice, it was absolute insanity, it was lava.” He went on to admit that the music got a bit redundant by the end of the tracklist, but highlighted 21 Savage, Young Thug, and more.

Fans on social have been having mixed replies to Budden’s take on Drake. “Lil Baby chose a side, Drake has to collab less with rappers from the US, bunch of snakes,” one user wrote on X (formerly Twitter). Another argued: “Now n*****z want Drake to save Atlanta rapper’s albums but just the other day I thought he ran to Atlanta when he need a check balance lol. Which is it?”

Kanye Sparks Sneaker Debate Over Creative Ownership At Adidas

Kanye West is reigniting tensions with Adidas, but this time his focus is on sneaker design. In a heated social media post, Ye accused Adidas of lifting ideas from his iconic Yeezy brand. He specifically called out the Fear of God Athletics line, led by Jerry Lorenzo, for allegedly mimicking his aesthetic. This accusation highlights a deeper issue in the sneaker industry—creative ownership. Yeezy sneakers haveredefined modern footwear with futuristic silhouettes and minimalist designs. Now, he claims Adidas is cashing in on that innovation without crediting its source.

The Fear of God Athletics line has quickly gained attention since its debut. However, its sleek lines and bold color blocking have drawn comparisons to Yeezy designs. Kanye’s allegations suggest Adidas is blending elements of his groundbreaking sneakers with Fear of God’s vision, creating a product Ye believes wouldn’t exist without his influence. This isn’t the first time Adidas has faced such accusations. When the Yeezy-Adidas partnership ended in 2022, there were already claims of the brand repurposing Yeezy aesthetics for new releases. Ye’s recent post has reignited those concerns within the sneaker community.

The fallout is significant for Adidas, a powerhouse in global sneaker culture. Kanye West claims add fuel to debates about originality and respect for creative contributions in footwear design. Yeezy sneakers brought Adidas massive success, generating billions in revenue. But Ye’s departure left a void that Fear of God Athletics is seemingly trying to fill. Whether or not the designs are intentional nods to Yeezy, the similarities haven’t gone unnoticed. This controversy places a spotlight on the brand’s ability—or inability—to innovate without leaning on past collaborations.

For sneakerheads, this feud is more than celebrity drama. It represents the constant tug-of-war between innovation and corporate control in the sneaker world. Kanye’s impact on the industry remains undeniable, and his claims against Adidas resonate with those who value creativity in footwear. As this dispute unfolds, it’s clear that the battle for ownership of sneaker culture is far from over.

Torrey Craig’s Alleged Ex Raises Eyebrows With Shady Megan Thee Stallion Remarks

There’s been no shortage of drama surrounding Megan Thee Stallion and her rumored boo Torrey Craig in recent months. The duo first sparked speculation that they were an item last August, but have since kept the status of their alleged fling under wraps. Earlier this week, however, one of the NBA player’s alleged exes and her friends made waves with their comments about the rumored romance. The alleged ex, Olivia Davis, brought it up on their podcast Girls 1 Kitchen whilst struggling to pronounce Meg’s name.

“Where do I start?” she said. “Do I start with the one where my ex is dating the Magan Thee Stallion? Mag Thee Stallion? What’s her name? […] I can’t even get mad, though ‘cause it’s like, damn, that’s kind of a flex. I can’t even be mad at that all.” Davis’ podcast co-host, former adult star Lana Rhoades, proceeded to interject.

“I just wonder what his type is,” she explained. “Because you guys dated, then he was talking to other girls when he was talking to you.” Rhoades then motioned to Davis and their other co-host, OnlyFans model Alexa Adams, both white women with blonde hair. “They all look like you guys,” she claimed. Davis agreed, stating, “Yeah they all looked very similar.” In no time, the women’s YouTube comments section was flooded with comments from Megan Thee Stallion’s fans, accusing them of being racist and committing a microaggression.

“You explain that you are relating his type ‘blondes’” one commenter began. “However, if Megan was to wear a blonde wig, you 100% know you would have still had the question of who his type really is. It was the confusion as you believe he likes blonde white girls vs any other person.” At the time of writing, both Meg and Craig have yet to address the podcast remarks.

50 Cent Claps Back At Jim Jones With Snitching Allegations

50 Cent has addressed Jim Jones’ recent interview with Justin Laboy, in which the Dipset rapper called out Cam’ron and 50. Taking to Instagram, 50 shared a picture of Jones posing in front of JAY-Z, Diddy, Fat Joe, and more, in which it appears the stars are leaving him out of the conversation. He captioned the post: “LOL. INDIVIDUAL 1 calling the shots out here, I know you working so please don’t say gangster sh*t to me INDIVIDUAL 1!”

He was referencing allegations that Jones has worked as a federal informant. Those claims stem from 6ix9ine‘s racketeering trial, the transcript from which 50 also shared in the post. In the document, Jones allegedly says 6ix9ine needs to “get violated” and “he ain’t a gang member no more.”

The drama began when Cam and 50 discussed Jones’ infamous 2007 performance with G-Unit, which came amid an ongoing rift within Dipset. Appearing on Cam’s Talk With Flee podcast, 50 claimed the move was made to sow dissent within the group. While discussing those comments with LaBoy, Jones said: “Them n***as be on my dick. Them n***as ain’t got nothing else to think about but Capo. I did a lot for them n***as in their life, ya heard? Both of them. Pause, though. Get off my dick! It’s only space on there for baby girl. Come on, man. Tugging on my sh*t like that.”

Speaking with Laboy, Jones also reflected on Cam’s attempts to settle the problems within Dipset at the time. “That n***a couldn’t pull nothing together. He couldn’t do nothing with me. He couldn’t tell me nothing, n***a,” he said. “Let’s not get this sh*t twisted. Nobody could tell me nothing. I was my own boss […], I did what I wanted to do. I seen the sh*t wasn’t going right so I started doing what Jim Jones needed to do for Jim Jones ’cause the n***a that was supposed to be the don wasn’t taking care of the Capo. It started feeling like the Gotti movie, ya heard?” Jones has yet to respond to 50’s latest jab.
