Chrisean Rock’s Ex Accuses Her Of Trying To “Evade” Paternity Test

Last week, Chrisean Rock had a startling run-in with her ex-boyfriend Ronny Doe. He filmed as he confronted her at a mall, insisting that she and Blueface’s son Chrisean Jesus was actually his. Eventually, authorities got involved and the two of them were separated, but he’s still sticking to his story.

During a recent livestream, captured by The Shade Room, he accused Chrisean of trying to “evade” a paternity test. He alleged that she’s trying to get him into legal trouble in order to prevent him from learning who Chrisean Jesus’ father is, as he thinks previous tests have been fake. Doe added that he filed for a paternity test last month and is still waiting on the results. He claims he expects to receive them by December 18. During another recent stream, shared by @livebitez on X, he claims he was with Chrisean when her water broke and when she gave birth to her son.

Ronny Doe Won’t Give Up

At the time of writing, Chrisean has yet to respond to Doe’s latest remarks. Over the weekend, however, she did address some ongoing rumors about her and Blueface. Last month, his aunt told social media users that they had allegedly gotten married during his prison stay. His mother Karlissa Saffold denied this, but Chrisean says they did exchange vows. Things are still not official though, as Chrisean noted how they never obtained a marriage license.

Despite this, Blueface appears to be looking forward to a reunion once he’s finally released. He recently unveiled some new face tattoos he’s gotten since his arrest. One of them, on his cheek, says “Chrisean.” This doesn’t necessarily come as a surprise, considering her large tattoo of Blueface’s face on Chrisean’s own cheek. Regardless, social media users quickly made it clear that they did not approve of his new ink.

Lefty Gunplay & Hitta J3 Capitalize On Their Nods From Kendrick Lamar With “Stoopid”

It’s a West Coast takeover on “Stoopid,” one of Lefty Gunplay’s newest tracks. It’s off his most recent project, Most Valuable Gangbanger, which is his fourth tape of 2024. He’s quickly become a prolific artist after getting his start professionally last year. By the way, all of those tapes we mentioned are his first four of his career. That hard work has been paying off for the California rapper, as he landed a big-time feature that will carry a lot of momentum for him going forward. Of course, we are talking about his placement on Kendrick Lamar’s now viral hit off of GNX, “tv off.” But don’t get it twisted, he’s got talent and it’s all over this track below.

As we said, it’s an all-Cali link-up, with Hitta J3, 19-year-old YS, and Bozo in the mix. Speaking of J3, he also got the chance to shine on Lamar’s project. You can find him on the title track deeper into the record. Overall, this track is a major banger, with an excellent gangsta rap-like beat. That comes courtesy of Damn James! (Kanye West, Meek Mill, Ella Mai) and Ty Dolla $ign. It’s mean, it’s lean, and extremely hard-hitting right from the jump. J3 really kicks the track off right with some intimidating bars and nice flow over the slower production. Gunplay follows up right after, then YS, with Bozo maybe having the best verse of them all. But no one misses and it’s a track we can Gunplay hanging his hat on.

Drake Hits Impressive Spotify Milestone Amid UMG Drama

It goes without saying that it’s been a busy year for Drake. He wrapped up his “It’s All A Blur” tour in April, just weeks after Kendrick Lamar dissed him on a collab with Future and Metro Boomin, “Like That.” This resulted in a viral lyrical battle, which by most accounts, Kendrick won. That has since earned relentless clowning from social media users. This has only picked up since the surprise release of Kendrick’s new album GNX.

It’s also gotten worse since Drake decided to take legal action against Universal Music Group (UMG) over Kendrick’s hit diss track, “Not Like Us.” He accuses UMG and Spotify of artificially boosting the song and alleges that the release could have been prevented. Unsurprisingly, many social media users have attributed this pre-action filing to jealousy over Kendrick’s success. It’s to be seen how that’ll play out, but fortunately for Drake, he still has a lot going for him despite all of the drama.

Drake Was The Most-Streamed Rap Artist Of 2024, Spotify Reveals

Spotify Wrapped 2024 just dropped, for example, revealing that Drake was the most-streamed rap artist of the year globally. He was followed by Travis Scott, Kanye West, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Future, and more. Obviously, the Toronto performer’s fanbase hasn’t gone anywhere. It also looks like he’s been able to find humor in all of this, as evidenced by a comment he recently left during a Los Pollos TV stream. “We need a donut emoji in the chat,” he wrote simply. “Custarrrddddd.” This was a nod to Kendrick’s iconic DJ Mustard shout-out on “TV Off.” It quickly became a meme following the release of GNX.

Drake has also earned some support from his peers amid his legal battle with UMG. Azealia Banks, Funk Flex, and many more even think there’s a chance he might ultimately end up looking like a hero for exposing alleged corruption in the music industry.

YSL Jurors Explain Decision To Acquit Yak Gotti In Massive RICO Trial

Two members of the jury for the YSL RICO trial explained their verdict in the case during an interview with Melanie Goolsby on YouTube on Tuesday night. The discussion comes after the jury returned verdicts for the final two co-defendants, Yak Gotti and Shannon Stillwell, earlier in the day. Some members of the jury reportedly were able to agree that YSL is technically a gang, but the group didn’t feel they constitute an “enterprise.”

“Was it this whole big organized thing, or was it just a bunch of people that were affiliated with each other doing individual stuff to take care of their families or to get revenge?” she said, as caught by Meghann Cuniff. Overall, the group agreed there simply wasn’t enough evidence. “Most of the overt acts were Instagram pictures. A lot of us kind of feel like, I’m not about to put nobody in jail for, like, Instagram pictures,” she added.

One of the jurors admitted she didn’t know much about Young Thug before the trial, but left with a more positive impression of him. She described him as someone who “pulled himself up, you know, got himself out of the position that he was in, and tried to help other people.” She added: “It actually shined a more positive light in my eyes than what the state was trying to present.”

YSL Jurors Speak Out On The Verdict

As for the entirety of Tuesday’s verdict, the jury found Gotti not guilty on all charges. They found Stillwell, on the other hand, guilty of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon previously convicted involving the use or possession of a firearm, but not guilty on all other charges. The verdict comes after Young Thug accepted a plea deal in the case in October. Check out the jurors’ discussion with Melanie Goolsby below.

Today In Hip Hop History: UGK’s Pimp C Passed Away 17 Years Ago

On this date in 2007, Chad Butler aka Pimp C of Houston’s legendary Underground Kingz along with Bun B, lost his life from an overdose of promethazine syrup, which is called “lean” on the streets, in West Hollywood, California. He was only 33 years old. Even though his physical presence is gone and sorely missed, many artists still pay homage to Sweet Jones through his music and dedication to him of their own music.

Born Chad Lamont Butler on December 29, 1973, in Port Arthur, Texas, Pimp C emerged into the Hip Hop scene with his partner Bun B to make the Underground Kingz (UGK) one of the greatest rap groups to come out of the Dirty South and undoubtedly the best rap duo from Texas.

In his illustrious three-decade-long career, the Pimp released nine UGK albums, six full-length solo albums, and even a posthumous book Sweet Jones: Pimp C’s Trill Life Story by Ozone Magazine owner Julia Beverly, which dropped last summer.

RIP PIMP C!!!

Matty Healy Threatens To Slap Azealia Banks (And Then Reconsiders) As Their Online Beef Continues

Azealia Banks and The 1975’s Matty Healy aren’t on the best of terms right now, to put it lightly. In November, the two went back and forth online after Banks shared some unflattering thoughts about Charli XCX’s performance on Saturday Night Live, and now they’re back at it again.

As NME notes, the latest round of beef started with Banks again going after Charli, writing on X (formerly Twitter), “Charli used to be soooo pretty. Ugh. Boaaa, I swear them weho gays be having the girls questioning themselves meanwhile they all scraping k off a cookie sheet, eating cold bossanova and sharing panties. Tuh.”

Healy replied, “Azealia you seem to have a blind spot when it comes to your ‘reads’. All the women you attack seem to be culturally relevant, attractive, divisive and NICE people. I think this makes you jealous cos you’re so talented but everything else about you is a failure. Just rap bro.”

Banks then continued from there with a series of tweets, including one in which she said of Charli and Healy, “You both look like you share needles.” Healy responded, “I now you think your life is some episode of the library is open but I am not the one. Talk to me like that I’m not gonna side eye you at an awards do I’m going to f*cking slap you so hard I’ll get a Guinness world record for the highest a rat some b*tch calls a wig has ever flown.”

Healy later had some regret there, as he deleted the tweet and wrote, “Nah I can’t be saying I’m gonna hit a girl that’s insane I’m sorry. You just can’t keep being so mean about my mates and my mrs it’s really hurtful gets me well defensive.”

Then, in reference to Charli and Lorde’s “Girl, So Confusing” remix, Healy tweeted, “No but we should actually sort this out on the remix @azealiaslacewig.”

Banks didn’t seem interested in a reconciliation, though, as she later tweeted that The 1975 makes “urban outfitters music for tweenies.”

So, in conclusion, Healy and Banks: still not buds.
