G Herbo Re-Releases “Strictly 4 My Fans 2” With Five New Tracks

Chicago’s own G Herbo has been a name in hip-hop circles since he was seventeen years old, after appearing on Lil Bibby’s debut mixtape Free Crack. Welcome to Fazoland, Herbo’s own debut tape (as Lil Herb), dropped over ten years ago, when he was eighteen. It quickly became popular on DatPiff. Since then, G Herbo has not quite had the star-level breakthrough that some of his Chicago peers did (i.e. Chief Keef and Lil Durk), but he has had a career that any aspiring rapper would be happy with. He has a highly dedicated fanbase and a collection of projects that they love. In April 2023, Herbo released Strictly 4 My Fans 2, the sequel to his 2016 mixtape. Over a year and a half later, he reissued the project, this time with five new tracks.

“Teflon” features an appearance from Taurus and production by Wheezy. The other four tracks, “Lionhearted,” “Breathing Heavy,” “My Soul,” and “Essence,” are solo cuts. G Herbo is in his element on the tracks, with his hard-hitting flow and dense verses about the life he was in. They’re strong additions to a mixtape his fans received well. Of course, his fans last saw G Herbo on Kai Cenat’s “Mafiathon 2” subathon on Twitch. He and his son shared an emotional moment that showed some real vulnerability. But now, he’s right back where he’s most comfortable: making music. Check out the five new tracks on Strictly 4 My Fans 2.0 below.

J Cole Drops Exclusive “2014 Forest Hills Drive” Vinyl Featuring Unheard Bonus Tracks

It’s already been an exciting few weeks for J Cole fans, and this morning, they got even more good news. According to HipHop-N-More, he’s releasing a new exclusive edition of his album 2014 Forest Hills Drive on vinyl. Reportedly, it will include “never before heard bonus tracks from that era that can only be heard on this exclusive variant.” Those interested in the exclusive vinyl edition of the album better get in quick, as it’s limited to only 2,014 copies.

The vinyl is available for pre-order now and is expected to ship on December 9. The announcement comes just in time for the project’s tenth anniversary. It also arrives just a few days after Cole’s iconic 2010 mixtape Friday Night Lights finally hit streaming platforms. Prior to that, his 2009 mixtape The Warm Up also became available to stream, much to the delight of supporters.

This isn’t the first time the hitmaker and his fans have been able to look back on his earlier material, however. During a new episode of his Inevitable audio series, he reflected on his 2010 G.O.O.D. Fridays collaboration with Kanye West, “Looking For Trouble.” He revealed that he actually threw a few jabs at the Chicago MC on the song due to a “dismissive” comment he previously heard him make. “Those were direct shots [at Kanye] because days prior I had seen the n***a be like, ‘Ah, we might put him on a G.O.O.D. Friday song or something.’ […] And those are shots I know only [Kanye] would feel,” he admitted.

This is far from all going on in the world of J Cole, as he also announced his fifth-ever Dreamville Festival earlier this week. The event is scheduled to take place April 5-6, 2025 at Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh, NC. Presale begins December 11 at 9 a.m. EST.

Kodak Black Wants To “Burn It Up” On Latest Album Cut

Kodak Black’s latest mixtape Trill Bill was released on Friday. The tape is typical Kodak Black, with themes of money, drugs, sex, and violence. But, it is over surprisingly calm, almost cloudy, mid-tempo production. One example of this is “Burn It Up,” one of the better tracks from Kodak’s new tape. The beat, produced by Ryan Prieur, is understated. It sounds like something that would be at home on a Cash Cobain project. In that regard, it does not sound like something that Kodak Black would normally do. But lyrically, it is another straightforward effort for the controversial Florida rapper. His trademark flexing and street raps are once again joined together on another track.

Kodak Black sounds energized (as energized as he can be, at least) on the track, with the hook’s repetition of “turn it up” and “burn a n***a up” being quite catchy. The verse is witty, with “all black can’t see nothing, so they say it was Darth Vader” being a standout line. At barely two and a half minutes, the track does not overstay its welcome, and it’s a solid performance from Kodak. Of course, Kodak Black is a prolific artist, so not everything he releases in a given year sticks, but this could be a track that does. Check out “Burn It Up” below and give Trill Bill a shot if you have positive thoughts on what you heard here.

All black can’t see nothing so they say it was Darth Vader

Running through that money splurging, don’t see no purpose to save up

Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” Sees Huge Sales Increase Amid Drake & UMG’s Legal Battle

It’s no secret that it’s been a big year for Kendrick Lamar. The Compton hitmaker came out on top in his viral lyrical battle against Drake and found tremendous success with his diss tracks. He went on to host his “Pop Out” in Los Angeles alongside several of his celebrity peers. Earlier this month, he even dropped a new album with zero notice, which has quickly become a fan favorite.

GNX is projected to sell between 310K and 325K in its first week, exceeding fans’ initial expectations. Eight songs from the album are also expected to land in the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 song chart. “Squabble Up” could even potentially come in at No. 1. This isn’t the only work of his blowing up these days, however. Amid all of this, it looks like fans are also looking back on some of the music he released earlier this year. This includes his Drizzy diss track “Not Like Us.” According to Talk Of The Charts On X, it’s expected to see roughly a 440% increase in U.S. sales and a 20% increase in U.S. streams this week.

Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” Expected To See 440% Sales Increase & 20% Streaming Increase In The U.S. This Week

This timing doesn’t necessarily come as a surprise, but it certainly is interesting. On top of Kendrick’s GNX release bringing more attention to his discography as a whole, Drake recently took legal action against Universal Music Group (UMG) over the song. He accuses the label and Spotify of artificially boosting it and alleges that UMG could have prevented its release.

Of course, this has earned big reactions from fans and critics alike. Some think Drake really has a chance of looking like a hero by exposing alleged corruption in the music industry. Others claim this simply makes him look worse, and like he could just be jealous of the success of Kendrick’s new album.

Juice WRLD & Offset “Celebrate” On New Posthumous Track

Juice WRLD’s estate released The Party Never Ends, his third posthumous album, on Friday. The album features contributions from Nicki Minaj, Eminem, and others. One of those “others” is Offset, who appears on the track “Celebrate.” “Celebrate” is produced by Metro Boomin, and was previously unheard until a leak in December 2023. Metro previously had production credits on Fighting Demons, the second posthumous release by his estate. The track is a low-key banger, and feels like something that Juice would have released if he was still alive, though it is still clear that the track was not finished in his lifetime.

The beat is menacing, and both Juice WRLD and Offset deliver strong verse. They give some gun bars, with the two of them threatening to “put some money in the street” (putting a bounty on someone, for the uninitiated). Offset’s verse is twice as long as Juice’s, likely to balance out the fact that the unfinished nature of the song. His verse feels like something he would’ve done for a Migos album, delivering some high-quality street bars. He’s at home over Metro Boomin production, and it’s very clear. Juice WRLD’s estate previously claimed that The Party Never Ends is the last posthumous album from the rapper, who died on December 8, 2019, just six days after his 21st birthday. However, with over a thousand unreleased tracks to his name, it is hard to say if that is truly the case yet. Regardless, give “Celebrate” a listen.

Juice WRLD & Offset – “Celebrate”

Quotable Lyrics:

Thinking back to the good old days, nowadays I’m over-stressed
When I say good old days, I’m talkin’ bout He-Man, no lil’ ThunderCats, huh
Well, I’ve been down, the devil been on the prowl
He loves when I frown, make him and his demons smile
On me they dog-pile, I done got way too involved now
Hate when they play with me, told Jimmy playfully, “I’m finna burn this all down”

Rubi Rose’s Mom Goes Viral For Her Butt

Rubi Rose often goes viral for her gorgeous looks, which often leave a whole lot of lustful fans in her comments sections. But perhaps she never thought that her mother would one day get the same treatment. Moreover, the rapper posted a picture of her mom on her Instagram Story recently, and a lot of fans expressed not just shock, but also desire when they saw her rear. “I see where she get it from,” one user wrote in the comments section under the IG post below, with another adding “great googly moogly.” Of course, these remarks are pretty juvenile and can sometimes border on disrespectful, but most people kept their interest or surprise at an appropriate level.

Elsewhere, though, Rubi Rose is dealing with some other, very different forms of online engagement, one of which was allegedly faking a relationship with Druski. “And for the record i never slept with that man, n***a paid for PR. Not the p***y,” she alleged via Twitter. “He is funny and nice tho! I only give it up if I’m in love, ion care how much money a n***a got. I’m rich asf lol.”

Rubi Rose’s Mom Goes Viral

Druski issued out a cheeky response to that Rubi Rose claim a couple of months after they “split,” and a few weeks after some controversial comments. “In the last interview I did, I spoke about my recent relationship,” he expressed on his Instagram Story after a radio program in which he suggested she was after his money. “And to be real I was trolling. She spent more money in the relationship than I did.” Their whole situation is still very much unclear, but it seems like we are no closer to an answer.

Meanwhile, Rubi Rose kept things pretty quiet since that Druski fallout, with this mom pic being one of her most viral moments in a while. Even Jack Harlow couldn’t help but comment on that breakup, so to see a more measured social media presence is always heartening after scandals like those. People all need a break sometimes before getting back to the regularly scheduled programs of folks obsessing over glutes online.
