50 Cent Explains How His Photo Shoot With $3.5 Million In Cash Is A Muhammad Ali Tribute

50 Cent has never shied away from flaunting and celebrating his wealth. After all, how could he have a “CEO war” with Dame Dash if they weren’t both so obsessed with their cash? Moreover, the G-Unit mogul raised some eyebrows and impressed more than a few business goons with his latest cover story for The Hollywood Reporter, for which he took $3.5 million in cash and sat on these stacks in the photoshoot. Stephen Colbert asked him about this on The Late Show this week, jokingly wondering why he didn’t use Photoshop to achieve the same effect and inquiring as to his inspirations.

“Stephen, I was trying to mirror a photo that I had seen that Muhammad Ali took,” 50 Cent revealed. Then, Colbert took out the image of the legendary boxer in question, which is a 1964 Sports Illustrated cover in which he sits on a million dollars. Fif used $3.5 million instead either to make a cheeky reference to inflation or to just flex that much harder. “I like how you act like you don’t have a lot of money, Stephen,” he comically responded when the host proposed just using Photoshop. “You’re on Season 10, bro! He’s posturing himself in this way so he doesn’t have to give his relatives money.”

50 Cent On The Late Show With Stephen Colbert

The photoshoot conversation begins at around the 1:17-minute mark.

“When you watch a movie and it’s, like, a bank robbery, that’s not real,” 50 Cent answered when asked about the literal weight of the $3.5 million dollars. “When they put the money in the bag and then you see them run out? They’re not running. It’s about 77 pounds. So you walk it out. No machine gun, none of that. You just go walk out and if they didn’t get me, I made it. I just wanted to make the picture good.” It’s not as big of a payout as, say, a potential Vegas residency, but it’s still a lot.

Jokes aside, this Late Show interview holds some other gems. There are conversations around 50 Cent’s celibacy, his celebrity status, his commitment to his endeavors, and a whole lot more. We can only wonder as to what his next magazine cover story will look like. Is $7 million the next move or is Photoshop one of Colbert’s better ideas?

GloRilla Reveals How She Used A Mean Tweet As Motivation

It goes without saying that being a celebrity comes with its fair share of downsides. For every supportive fan there is, there are likely more critics waiting for an opportunity to tear you down. Luckily, criticism isn’t always a negative thing, as some artists use it as motivation. This includes GloRilla, who recently took to Twitter/X to explain how a shady Tweet fueled her amazing past few months.

“Glorilla fell off so fast and bad,” the critical Tweet reads alongside a series of crying emojis. It was originally written in October of last year but received a response from Glo earlier this week. “I remember bookmarking dis & telling myself ‘Dey gotchu f*cked up so bad,’” she wrote. “Dis post ain’t do sh*t but put a battery in my back i needed data don’t let dese people write yo story for you , Keep going !!!”

GloRilla Says Hater “Put A Battery In [Her] Back”

Obviously, GloRilla’s hard work has paid off, and she managed to prove this critic wrong. Nowadays, she’s enjoying the success of singles like “TGIF” and her debut mixtape, Ehhthang Ehhthang. She also joined fellow Southern femcee Megan Thee Stallion on her “Hot Girl Summer” tour this year, which was a major hit with fans. The two of them might even be teaming up for yet another project in the near future, as Meg hinted at a potential joint album during her recent interview with Billboard. “I think that would be very fire. I ain’t gon’ say too much, but it feels like it’s going to get done,” she explained.

“Megan is a real rapper, and I’m also a real rapper,” GloRilla added. “We actually be talking and coming with bars on some down South gangsta sh*t. [It would be] some down South, real turnt, real rap [sh*t].” What do you think of GloRilla crediting a critic’s old mean Tweet for her impressive 2024 run? Rob49 Hypes Up His Girl On “I Swear To God”

Rob49 has built up a reputation amongst the hip-hop community is someone who’s always bouncing off the walls. Whether it be a single, feature, on a project, the Louisiana native doesn’t know what a break is. Not every rapper needs to be super lyrical to keep the listener’s attention. Sometimes, you just need to be able to craft high octane bangers to stay relevant. In the case of Rob49 that couldn’t be truer. Partially thanks to a feature on “TOPIA TWINS” off Travis Scott’s UTOPIA, more ears were able to hear what he’s been developing while in the shadows.

A lot of people liked what they heard because his monthly listeners have steadily increased over the last year. Now, he’s on a lot of major artist’s projects and his singles are popping off more than ever before. “I Swear To God”, the most recent from him, will assuredly gain traction fast. It’s got a blistering and booming beat that maintains the intensity from start to finish. The bells and dramatic strikes of keys add extra flare and Rob49’s flow’s and adlibs are erratic but in a good way. Throughout the song, he’s gassing up his girl who he dubs “the baddest b**** alive”. With the subject matter, the track is sure to thrive at night clubs across the country.

Usher Turns His Stage Into A Strip Club For Brooklyn Tour Stop

Usher is stunning every crowd he greets on his “Past Present Future” tour, and is even inspiring the crowd to take over the show and sing for him. But it’s not just a concert: it’s a 4AM party in the waviest strip club in the city… Or at least, that’s the vibe he wants to create with each tour stop. Moreover, for the singer’s first Brooklyn show at the Barclays Center on Friday (September 6), he turned part of the stage into a strip club, complete with a pole for a dancer to use. Taraji P. Henson, Victoria Monét, and Yung Miami were right there to throw some cash and have fun with the performers.

Of course, this is nothing new for Usher, who did this exact sort of homage during his Vegas residency, his Super Bowl halftime show, and more. Also, it’s exactly the kind of extravagance and fun-loving raunch that we expect from him, so this isn’t all too surprising. While it doesn’t make it any less entertaining, we can’t help but wonder what the Dallas native will do next during this trek. We know that he’s taken his time to greet familiar faces and old friends in the crowds, so we hope that there’s more wholesome stuff on the way.

Usher’s Strip Club Stage For Brooklyn Show

Speaking of wholesome tour content, Usher also took some time during this Brooklyn show to shout out his “SOS (Sex On Sight)” collaborator, Victoria Monét. “Victoria, we love you, baby girl!” he told her in the stands before playing her hit song “On My Mama.” We can’t think of many other careers who have had a better past 48 months than the Atlanta native. So not only was this well-deserved, but we hope there’s more stuff like this to come.

All this being said, it’s not like every single part of this tour has been perfect. For example, after a particularly bizarre clip of Usher’s “Yeah!” performance went viral, people accused him of sending a clone onstage. It seems like the fanbase crossover between him and MF DOOM isn’t as small as you might think. Rest In Peace to The Villain.

Boldy James Rocks With Helluva Beats & Antt Beatz For New Single “Super Mario”

Boldy James is busting out his Nintendo gaming consoles for this week’s single, “Super Mario”. This is his latest release, and it follows up on his excellent collaboration with Tee Grizzley and Harry Fraud, “Cecil Fielder”. In terms of projects, it comes after a tandem of AOTY contenders in Penalty of Leadership and Across The Tracks. Both were handled exclusively by two separate uber-talented beat crafters. Nicholas Craven laid things down on POL, whereas Conductor Williams was all over ATT. Nothing is known about another LP in development, but we think “Super Mario” and “Cecil Fielder” will go down as loosies for Boldy James.

However, in that same breath, there has been a particular theme with both singles. Each one has a more trap-like soundscape to it, so maybe he’s got something cooking. If that doesn’t turn out to be the case, it’s always cool to hear Boldy over some slightly different production. You’re getting your typical topical focus of violence and putting on for the hometown. Boldy also speeds up his usually slow and methodical delivery to keep pace with the bouncy beat from Antt Beatz and Helluva Beats. We wouldn’ t say this is better than “Cecil Fielder” but its certainly got good qualities going for it. Check it out for yourself below.

Doja Cat Shows Off Her Pole Dancing Skills After Social Media Break

Considering all the wild IG Live antics and fan backlash that Doja Cat faced over the past few years, the fact that she’s a bit of an on-and-off-again social media user should come as no surprise. After all, no one wants to deal with that level of scrutiny, hacks, and engagement all the time. But one thing we can count on is that whenever she comes back to the online space, she does so in a pretty eye-catching and notable way. This time around, the Los Angeles artist posted a video of herself on Friday (September 6) twirling around on a pole while listening to classical music and reading a book.

It’s a pretty funny clip out of context, and Doja Cat’s form is downright impressive. It’s probably not what people expect to see when they first hear the words “pole dancing,” but she’s always been one to surprise and joke around. But fans are a bit more curious about this particular social media return thanks to some dating rumors around the Scarlet creative. Fans spotted her and Joseph Quinn out on a London date, which caused a lot of conversation due to their complicated history together.

Doja Cat Is Back Online, Now With A Pole & A Book

Nevertheless, not all of Doja Cat’s social media breaks have to do with just being tired of all the engagement and drama. Sometimes, it’s a legitimate security concern. For example, someone or a group of people recently hacked her Twitter account and began to diss Iggy Azalea. This was pretty ironic because Doja had been critical of Iggy’s music in the past (via since-deleted tweets, to be fair), but Iggy said that they had no issues whatsoever in real life. So this hack didn’t fool her as those responsible might’ve hoped for.

Meanwhile, another recent Doja Cat debate revolved around whether or not Latto is a better rapper than her, a discussion topic that Joe Budden virally sparked on his podcast. “Latto is ill,” he posited. “I might have to have her [at] number two. Nicki is number one for me. I think Latto would give Doja a long night. She can’t rap like that. If I’m just talking about rapping, Doja can pack it up if Latto walk in the studio with her notebook.”

Usher’s Recent ‘Past Present Future Tour’ Stop Featured A Full-On NSFW Strip Club Segment For All To Enjoy

Due to doctor ordered delays, Usher’s Past Present Future Tour didn’t start off on the right foot. However, the “Luckiest Man” singer has surely made up for hiccup.

Yesterday (September 6), during Usher’s first night in Brooklyn he brought a little piece of his seemingly second favorite hometown staple with him — strip clubs. While at the Barclays Center, Usher transferred the stage into his own mobile exotic peep show. Although this isn’t new by any means for Usher, just see his Las Vegas residency show, but this time he was along in his tantalizing quest.

Three leading ladies in their own right, Taraji P. Henson, Victoria Monét, and Yung Miami joined Usher for the sensual showcase. As the performer showed off her gymnast moves each lady threw money to show their mesmerized support (viewable here).

At one point, Victoria Monét even ever so slightly participated before allowing to professional to put it down (or up rather). Usher has a lot of tricks in his books but none quite like his featured supporting act.

Prior to the rated R demonstration, Usher took a moment to acknowledge his “SOS (Sex On Sight)” collaborator, Victoria’s breakout year. “We love you baby girl,” he said before paying her hit song “On My Mama” over the venue’s speakers (viewable here)

Usher’s Past Present Future Tour won’t officially wrap in the US until mid-November, so there’s no telling what else he has planned.
