Just about a year and four months removed from the release of her solo debut album, In Pieces, former Uproxx cover star Chlöe is releasing its follow-up, Trouble In Paradise, which she announced earlier this week, on Monday (August 5). See below for all the information currently available.

The tight turnaround between the announcement and the release is unusual, but could turn out to be an advantage for the “Have Mercy” singer. Sharing the release date the week of keeps it top-of-mind for fans and may help keep from losing momentum with a longer rollout — which technically began back in March, with the single “FYS,” released before Chlöe had announced the album.

Chloe Bailey is now just two days away from giving her fanbase her long-awaited sophomore album, Trouble in Paradise. It’s turning out to be a stacked weekend for hip-hop/R&B releases, as artists like Logic, Latto, Larry June, Ravyn Lenae will be her competition. Big Sean was supposed to be dropping as well, however, his LP, Better Me Than You, has just received a multiple week delay. Chloe Bailey has two tracks from it out right now, with those including “FYS” (F*** Your Status) and “Boy Bye”. It figures to be one of the more checked-out projects on Friday and the days after, however, some people don’t feel the same way.

One person tweeted out, “It’s finna flop bc she did this so randomly”. This user feels that because of its very minimal to non-existent rollout, the numbers might not be there. However, Chloe maintained high levels of maturity while interacting with the commenter. “Oh well. Good music is good music and I hope you enjoy”. But after digesting this message further, Chloe is now asking the masses what “flopping” actually means. “Honestly what is flopping?”, she begins.

RXKNephew Drops “Always Remember Me,” His Ninth Album Of 2024

RXKNephew, a rapper from Rochester, New York, has been continuing to gain popularity. In addition to this work with fellow Rochester rapper Rx Papi, RXKNephew is known for his diverse sound and sense of humor. Fans also know him for his prolific output. Always Remember Me is RXKNephew’s ninth album of 2024, following a 2023 that saw him release 10. Since debuting in 2019, he’s released nearly 100 projects in total. RateYourMusic says this is his 49th LP, while AlbumOfTheYear says this is his 53rd. Regardless of which number is the accurate one, the rapper has dozens of releases to his name in just five years. In addition to the album being his ninth of 2024, Always Remember Me, his second in two weeks. Slitherman For President released on July 24. If nothing else, RXKNephew’s work ethic is undeniable.

Always Remember Me is in line with RXKNephew’s other releases as far as what fans should expect. He raps about money, street life, women, and his growing fame. The soundscape is as diverse as ever, featuring heavy sample usage. The beats go from being trap-oriented bangers to West Coast-like summertime beats, to hip-house very quickly, the whiplash of which is a trademark of his releases. RXKNephew has often been compared to Lil B for his rap style. He should also be drawing comparisons to the Based God for the quantity of his output. You can stream his latest album below.

Charlamagne Tha God Slams Kamala Harris For Reaching Out To Kai Cenat

Charlamagne Tha God wasn’t a fan of Kamala Harris’ team reaching out to Kai Cenat about collaborating on a livestream. The Breakfast Club host discussed the story on Wednesday morning, days after Donald Trump spoke with Adin Ross.

“Hit me and tell me who sent you that text man because whoever on Vice President Kamala Harris’ team hit Kai Cenat to do a live stream, they need to be fired,” Charlamagne began. “Stop letting social media run her campaign. You saw [Donald] Trump go on Adin Ross and you saw the attention that garnered, you saw the headlines that got. You saw social media start saying the Vice President needs to go on Kai Cenat and you ran to go make that happen, not even stopping to think, ‘Is this organic? Does Kai Cenat even care about politics?’”

Kamala Harris & Tim Walz Speak In Philadelphia

From there, Charlamagne theorized Cenat is certainly not a fan of Trump, but also clearly isn’t interested in politics. “You know why the Trump-Adin Ross stream worked? Because Adin Ross had real interest in Donald Trump,” he explained. “And, I do believe politicians should absolutely meet people where they are, but it still has to make sense. Let it be something organic. There’s a lot of places the VP can go to get in front of a younger audience. There are influencers Kai’s age. I don’t know. I’m all for meeting people where they are, but it also has to make sense.” From there, he recommended Harris speak with The 85 South Show.

Today, it was revealed that his @Ye Instagram account is live once again. He shut it down back in April after a rant about people continuing to call him Kanye West despite his official name change. For now, it remains unclear exactly why he’s decided to return, though social media users have some theories.

Many speculate that he plans to address something, though there are several possibilities for what that could be. Last week, the Chicago MC dropped off his eagerly anticipated project with Ty Dolla Sign, Vultures 2. It’s since received mixed reviews from listeners. Ye later delivered updated versions of several songs, as well as a new bonus track, “Take Off Your Dress.”

Today, it was also reported that Milo Yiannopoulos mentioned Ye in an affidavit for a complaint against the dentist who installed the rapper’s titanium grill. Yiannopoulos accuses the dentist of providing Ye with “enormous quantities of nitrous gas,” and claims to be worried about his alleged dependence on the substance. Some fans think that Ye will speak on these addiction accusations or Vultures 2. Many, on the other hand, theorize that he plans to comment on Drake’s latest drop.

Yesterday, the Toronto hitmaker unloaded a whopping 100 gigabytes of previously unreleased material. This included music, behind-the-scenes content, and more. Chris Brown’s Collaborator “Lo’s” Alleged Murderer Captured After Being On Most Wanted List

During May 2023, Chris Brown’s associate and close friend, Lowell “Lo” Grissom, was fatally shot. Grissom was a talent scout for Chris Brown Entertainment, as well as a rapper. The tragedy took place Miami Beach’s GALA Nightclub, and it also left two other women injured. Authorities labeled Deshawn “Thorobread” Davis as the killer, a man who is also the main suspect in a kidnapping from 2022. The victim in that case, Elnaz Hajtamiri, is being presumed as dead. Because of all of these alleged crimes that Davis is responsible for, he was eventually placed on U.S. Marshals’ Most Wanted Fugitives list on August 1.

Now, some justice is being served for these victims. According to AllHipHop, U.S. Marshals were able to capture him on Monday, August 5. To get some extra assistance, marshals were offering up to $25,000 for information. U.S. Marshals Service Director Ronald L. Davis released a statement shortly after arresting Davis, saying, “I commend the men and women of the Marshals Service and our partners for the capture of Deshawn Davis. “It is our hope that this apprehension brings justice to his victims and safety to the community”.

The nightclub also released a statement shortly after “Lo’s” passing. “We are shocked and deeply saddened by the isolated and targeted incident that occurred last night at our upscale establishment”.
