Big Boi Jumped In The Braves Broadcast Booth And Delivered An Incredible Strikeout Call
The Atlanta Braves gave out one of the all-time great bobbleheads on Tuesday night to fans that came to see them take on the Milwaukee Brewers, as they partnered with the mighty, mighty Outkast to create a bobblehead of Big Boi and Andre 3000 sitting in a Cadillac.

While Outkast night didnāt go the way they wanted to on the field, with the Braves losing 10-0, plenty of fans were still happy to collect a bobblehead of Two Dope Boyz (in a Cadillac). Unsurprisingly, the night did not feature a full Outkast reunion, as Andre 3000 rarely makes a public appearance (well, without his flute, anyway), but Big Boi was on site at Truist Park to represent for the Southās greatest rap duo and throw out the first pitch. He also joined the Braves broadcast booth in the third inning, with the Braves already down 6-0, but brought a bit of good mojo for the home team and delivered an electric call of a strikeout, telling the Brewers batter to āGo anā sit down somewhereā after chasing a high fastball.

I also really liked the āYAHā from Big Boi as the pitch got thrown. Itās always enjoyable when guests who pop in on sports broadcasts seem to genuinely be having fun (see: literally everything Snoop Dogg has been doing at the Olympics), and Big Boi brought a little extra flavor to the Braves booth.

Lungu Boy is Asakeās third album, arriving just a year after its predecessor Work Of Art.
Later this month, Asakeās set to go on his tour for Lungu Boy, hitting Washington, DC, Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, and New York, before hopping the pond for shows in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Ireland, and Australia. Travis Scott is an artist known for crossing over into genres from foreign countries and thatās what heās doing here with Asake. The latter is a big name in the Nigerian Afrobeats space and their new single together, āActiveā, which is also their first, is going to be on Lungu Boy. That is Asakeās forthcoming fifth studio album and it will be available on streaming on August 9. It will feature a 15-song set, as well as other guest appearances from the likes of Central Cee, Stormzy, and LUDMILLA. The Cench collaboration, āWaveā, was released on June 20 and it serves as the lead single. That track has been blowing up, and it currently sits at over 21 million streams.
On āActiveā, Asake and Travis Scott are certainly doing just that over a lively and bouncy beat. Both offer up slick flows in their native languages. However, Scott does show love to Ikeja, the capital city of Lagos State, in his verse. āI just hopped off from the PJ, from the H to Ikeja (Uh)ā. However, after emitting tons of energy on the first half, the track slows down in the last quarter or so. It abruptly transitions into a spacey outro from MIKE DEAN and Asake caps that section off with some braggadocio. With already over a million views on YouTube, this track figures to be another hit for Asake, as well as a standout feature for La Flame in 2024.

Q Da Fool Returns With New Album āKing Georgeā
Maryland-based rapper Q Da Fool dropped a new album, called King George. The title references his real name, George J. Hundall III, but also represents how he feels about his abilities. The former Roc Nation signee left the label in 2021 after signing in 2018 and only releasing one album with them. Since leaving, Q Da Fool has released 2-3 albums per year, so the fact that King George is his first new release of 2024 at this point in the year is surprising. King George is 25 songs long and slightly over an hour in runtime. Additionally, the album features appearances from up-and-coming Michigan rapper Veeze, Bobson and Lil Mar.
Q Da Fool has had some legal issues in recent years. He served two years in prison, and after being released in early 2023, got arrested again for āinciting violence.ā The charge stemmed from the release of a song that some interpreted as a diss track towards DC rapper Ant Glizzy. Since then, heās been on probation, which he will be on for five years, as well as a seven-year suspended sentence. In a Rolling Stone profile ahead of the release of Art of Ambition, Q Da Fool was clear in his excitement about getting home and getting back to work. Since starting his career, Q Da Fool has built a strong fanbase early. Though heās been releasing music since 2015, he is only 27 years old.
