Killer Mike Will Reportedly Not Face Charges From His Peculiar 2024 Grammys Arrest, But There May Be A Catch
In February, Killer Mike scored three wins at the 2024 Grammys, but his celebration was interrupted. The Hollywood Reporter‘s Chris Gardner posted footage of Killer Mike being taken away in handcuffs, causing confusion and speculation as to why the Atlanta icon had been put in handcuffs. TMZ eventually reported Killer Mike was “booked for battery on a citizen’s arrest […] after he allegedly got physical with a security guard at the venue.” Shortly thereafter, Killer Mike’s lawyer confirmed to Variety that he had been released and “will be celebrating his sweep tonight.”
Now, Killer Mike can firmly put it all behind him.
On Wednesday, June 26, TMZ exclusively reported that Killer Mike won’t face any charges from the peculiar incident.
“Prosecutors in the L.A. City Attorney’s Office tell us they will not be filing charges against Mike for his confrontation with an event security guard, back in February, which led to his citizen’s arrest,” TMZ relayed. “We’re told he successfully completed his city attorney hearing … after which he agreed to do some community service with a non-profit organization of his choice. That said, the City Attorney’s Office added the Grammy winner needs to stay out of trouble for the next year, or they could reopen the case.”
One week after the 2024 Grammys, Killer Mike appeared on The View and downplayed his arrest, as seen in the clip below.

Sexyy Red Reveals Chief Keef And Kayla B Drama Was Simply A Genius Promotional Tactic
Sexyy Red is clearly handling her massive success quite well, inviting controversy and speculation to further her own rollout goals and image. Moreover, you might have heard that she and Kayla B (King Von’s sister) got into some salacious social media spats over Chief Keef, being that both of them claimed to be romantically involved with him. However, it looks like all that (at least, on Sexyy’s behalf) was just for show, as she recently previewed a Maury-parodying music video for her remix collab with Sosa, “Bow Bow Bow (F My Baby Mama).” It’s a reimagining of her original hit, “Bow Bow Bow (F My Baby Dad).”
Furthermore, it seems like all the Internet attacks and jokes about polyamory were just that: jokes and antics to get us invested. It’s a pretty smart scheme, albeit one that risked actually driving a wedge in between Sexyy Red, Chief Keef, and Kayla B. But we’re sure that the music video will at least be a pretty comical and entertaining visual treatment, so all’s well that ends well. We just hope that King Von’s sister got the memo and that they’re all a part of this together. If they’re not, that’s when things could really get messy.

Regardless, Sexyy Red is also going on tour soon, so she’s understandably got a lot to promote and move with. However, this provided a pretty stark contrast compared to how other celebrities in the rap game choose to handle their extracurricular antics and headlines. While other artists seem more comfortable with keeping that drama at arm’s length of their art and career, the St. Louis native knows the strength of using both in tandem. It hasn’t always been a successful experiment, but it’s been much better than many predicted.
Meanwhile, the “N.P.O.” MC has a lot more to look forward to this year. Maybe she’s actually pregnant again as she teased with this music video snippet, but at this point, who knows? Nevertheless, Sexyy Red definitely has a great marketing team behind her, or this was just the stars aligning and blessing her with an extra boost. As long as she can capitalize on that, then she’ll handle future antics as swimmingly as this one.

Megan Thee Stallion is going through an exciting time right now. Overall, she is in the midst of a massive tour that has brought about tens of thousands of fans. Furthermore, she is going to be releasing a new album on Friday called Megan. Fans have been incredibly excited about this new project, especially since she has had dropped some dope singles. For instance, “Hiss” was a number-one record earlier in the year, mostly thanks to the feud it sparked with Nicki Minaj.
In the tracklist for this new album, fans were intrigued by a song that features an anime sample. Of course, Meg is a huge anime fan, so it comes as no surprise she would do something like this. Unfortunately, there have been some massive last-minute clearance issues. For instance, on Wednesday night, Meg revealed that the show’s creators emailed her telling her that she had to take out the names of the characters from her verse. It was either that, or she wouldn’t get the sample itself, at all. Knowing that the sample was important to her, Meg sprung into action and re-recorded the verse.

Drake recently teased a potential collaboration with Dave via his Instagram Story, and it’s been a while since we’ve heard from this duo in the studio. Moreover, they linked up back in 2016 for the “Wanna Know” remix and the latter contributed to the former’s 2017 More Life cut “Teenage Fever.” Yikes, that aged well, didn’t it? Jokes aside, what some people online are taking issue with actually isn’t that aspect of Kendrick Lamar’s disses against the 6ix God, but rather another element that’s been in the conversation for a long time. With this new tease, the OVO mogul once again faced accusations of being a culture vulture for seeking out a U.K. rapper.
Of course, this is a pretty ridiculous example of possible confirmation bias: would we really be so up in arms about a U.S. MC teaming up across the pond if it wasn’t Drake? Would it be such an obvious criticism if we weren’t still listening to “Not Like Us”? Either way, he’s worked a lot with English artists and folks from the United Kingdom in the past, so he’s got as many credentials as any other artist that we wouldn’t bat an eye at over this. But the context is very hard to ignore, and folks wonder whether this is part of a post-beef recovery.

Regardless, we doubt that Drake needs much of a “comeback,” or that he needs to put in a whole lot of work to achieve one. We know that his upcoming collabs on the new Camila Cabello project will likely be songs for the summer, and that he has a lot more in the tank. Perhaps Dave will be one of these team-ups that defines Drizzy’s post-battle 2024. Yet it won’t arrive without some scrutiny, however warranted or undeserved.

Ice Spice is someone who has become incredibly famous in a short amount of time. Overall, that can be incredibly difficult for an artist to deal with. Upon the song’s release, fans immediately compared Ice Spice to one of her biggest inspirations, Nicki Minaj. In the latest promotional video for the track, Ice Spice kept the Nicki comparisons going, albeit it’s unclear whether or not that was intentional.

[WATCH] Keefe D Says His Cancer Resurfaced Due To Eating Processed Jail Food
The man who has been allowed to make bail after being charged with the 27-year-old murder of Tupac Shakur is now alleging that the food that he’d been eating in jail has caused his cancer to come out of remission.
Duane “Keefe D’ Davis went to court on Tuesday(June 25) and revealed to the court that the 60-year-old Compton Street Legend author is still fighting his bout with cancer.
“I got cancer. I been in jail eating processed food,” Davis said. “I had colon cancer… they serve all this processed food, they don’t serve no fruit, it’s terrible. Fake potatoes. Fake milk. Fake everything. It ain’t good for an ex-cancer patient. I got it again.”
He went on to speak about his lack of proper medical care, saying, “They took me to thee hospital on May 5. He came into my cell and said, ‘Hurry up and get dressed, you need emergency surgery.’ They referred me to my cancer doctor so I went and seen him on May 8 and he said, ‘I’ll get you to do a colonoscopy in a week, CT scan in two weeks, CT scan in three weeks. They haven’t came here to do nothing. I’m in a life situation and I will do anything to save my life.”

In a motion for bail filed last year following his arrest for 2Pac’s 1996 murder last September, Keefe’s attorneys argued, “He is not getting his bi-monthly oncologist check-ups. Additionally, his heart health has declined. He was put back on a group of medications to try to get things under control. He has to take these medications in the jail because he is unable to do the things necessary to maintain proper health. His diet in jail is terrible. He is given heavily-processed meals full of sodium that barely pass as food.”
Keefe D was released on a secured $750K bond last week as the murder of Tupac trial is set to begin later this year.

Queenzflip Returns to The JBP, Reveals Heated Argument with Joe Budden Led to Hiatus
After being missing for nearly a month, Queenzflip returned to The Joe Budden Podcast. In the middle of episode 736, Flip revealed he was on hiatus after an argument with Budden.
“We had a big argument, I mean 90 minutes of it. But he was the aggressor in this one. I ain’t gonna lie. People can agree. He was saying some crazy things to me,” Queenzflip said.
Budden responded with, “Which I apologized for. That was wrong of me.”
He would go on to reveal he got a call from Budden’s business partner, Ian, alerting him he had audio of the conversation. Ian asked Flip to “sit down for a little bit.” Flip stated he was unsure if he was still going to be paid during his break, but Budden revealed he did remain on payroll.
The two revealed they made amends, and everything was great, leading to his return. But with Budden’s shaky cohost history, fans were understandably concerned. You can hear all the details below.
