BlakeIANA Keeps The Hits Coming With “See Us” Featuring Skilla Baby

BlakeIANA is someone you are going to want to keep your ears and eyes on this summer. She is a very fresh face to the rap scene, but one that is looking to have her tracks dominate the competition’s. The femcee hails from the St. Louis, Missouri area and burst onto the scene with her debut track no less, “BING BONG”. It is a reference to the viral catchphrase of the same name that was first popularized in New York. The song grabbed the attention of the major New York label 300 Entertainment, and now she is quickly becoming one of key voices for them. BlakeIANA is looking to continue her momentum with her latest single “See Us”, which features Skilla Baby.

This song follows up on her “Pricey” record with Moneybagg Yo and since its release, it has been received well. It is one of BlakeIANA’s biggest collaborations, as she has also worked with Sexyy Red and Jeremih. Now, she can add Detroit MC Skilla Baby to that ever-growing list. On “See Us”, BlakeIANA glides over a ChopSquad DJ beat that goes hard on the bass and pianos.

Darren Waller Addresses Retirement Rumors With A New Freestyle

Tight end with the New York Giants, Darren Waller, is putting a lot more effort into his music in the wake of fresh rumors that he may be leaving the league. Four days after releasing his most recent song and music video, Waller published a new rap about his alleged retirement and divorce from WNBA player Kelsey Plum. Now Waller has dropped a quick response to the reports surrounding his eminent retirement with a freestyle. With the Kelsey Plum debacle weighing heavy over him, Darren Waller’s NFL career is expected to end after nine seasons. According to Jordan Raanan of ESPN, Waller is anticipated to decide on his future before the New York Giants’ required minicamp the following week. 

There are many in the club who believe he will declare his retirement. Waller’s deal is for three years, with a base salary of $10.5 million in 2024. Nevertheless, the agreement still contains no money guarantee. The Giants will bear a large financial burden from Waller’s retirement. If Waller does choose to retire, they will collect a $7.9 million dead cap charge and save $6.2 million this season against the cap.

Darren Waller Drops New Song Addressing Retirement Rumours

In a recent music video, Waller discussed his romantic past and divorce from WNBA player Kelsey Plum. Waller chose an actress with Plum’s physical appearance to represent his love interest in the video. Plum is the clear target of the messages from the song’s title, lyrics, and music video. Following their April split, Kelsey had indicated that she was heartbroken. Hardly a year had gone by since they were married. The Las Vegas Aces guard, upon hearing the news, said, “I walked through fire for that man, but now I see it’s time to go.” Now, Waller seems to be going after a music career now that his marriage and NFL career are likely over. 

Waller told Dan Duggan of The Athletic that he was “undecided at the moment” about continuing to play football. He explained, “It’s really the idea of signing up for another journey. It’s tough, it’s long, it requires a lot. And if you’re not fully bought into every single thing of the process, it’s going to be tough. I feel like, at the end of the day, you’re doing guys a disservice if you’re not all the way in. So those are the kinds of things I’m taking into account.” Overall, it seems like Waller is enjoying music more than football.

Young Dolph Murder Trial Gets New Start Date

Young Dolph’s murder trial has unfortunately faced various delays on the path to justice. But it seems like things might change soon. Moreover, according to new reports, the court rescheduled the previous start date of today (Monday, June 3) to September 23. His alleged killers Justin Johnson and Cornelius Smith will face trial. However, it’s unclear if this new trial will also settle the case of the alleged perpetrator Hernandez Govan. He’s currently out on bond providing for his family and on house arrest. Govan risked endangering these conditions by conducting an interview on YouTube during his time at home.

Elsewhere, Young Dolph’s partner Mia Jaye had blasted the courts system for this delay and spoke to her frustration with what she sees as a lack of accountability in this legal case. “It is truly hurtful that my family was robbed of a future,” she expressed. “My love’s life was taken… and to be left behind to see NO ONE be held accountable in the court of law for the act… is INSANE….

Young Dolph’s Alleged Killers Learn Of Their New Trial Date

“Our family has witnessed lenient bonds being granted, absurd requests approved for the defendants to get a [change of] venue motion, freedom, more time to build a stronger defense… witnessed songs be made, defendants enjoying life while on [house arrest]… all while our loved one is 6feet deep, waiting for JUSTICE to be served… talk about disheartening, unfair, triggering and hurtful,” Young Dolph’s loved one continued. “For everyone who is like ‘trust the process’ our family has for 3 years, but the process & system is BROKEN (which is evident across ALL of Black America LBH… check the stats) and continuing to sit back allowing people to PLAY in your face isn’t trusting the process it is ignoring the process and giving room for any and everything wrong to happen, overlooking ACCOUNTABILITY.

“this case is not apart of ENTERTAINMENT which it can be easily mistaken for given Dolph’s nature of business…” Mia Jaye concluded. “Dolph was just as human as anyone else, his life meant so much to so many, he was and still is so SPECIAL and he DESERVES to rest in peace receiving the JUSTICE he rightfully DESERVES… #JusticeForYoungDolph.”

FERG Continues His Solo Run Of Singles With “More Than U Know Freestyle”

About three weeks ago, the Harlem, New York rapper put out a YouTube-only single called “MDMX”, but his full stage name was not attached to it. Instead, it was chopped down to just FERG. This then led to an onslaught of theories and speculations that he was not a core member of the A$AP Mob. There have been a lot of reports online that he indeed was not a part of it and that he still remains with them. However, the real truth is that FERG is his solo stage name when he is not releasing anything affiliated with Rocky and the crew.

FERG announced it through Roc Nation back in 2021, saying, “Ferg is very much still part of the Mob, and is A$AP Ferg within A$AP Mob. Ferg as an individual artist and with his solo career is Ferg”. So, with all of that cleared up let us jump into this new single, “More Than U Know Freestyle”. This is the third YouTube exclusive track and a follow-up to “Roemello” just five days ago.

Yesterday marked the 30th anniversary of the hottest music event of the summer – HOT 97’s Summer Jam hip-hop festival. To celebrate this milestone, HOT 97 brought together legendary acts and today’s most viral sensations, creating an unforgettable experience for fans of all ages. Whether you were a long-time listener or a new fan, there was something for everyone to dance, bop, and recite rhymes to.

Held at the state-of-the-art UBS Arena, the festival drew a crowd of 19,000 fans eager to party with their favorite acts. The energy was electric from the Pre-Summer Jam festival all the way to the main show.

This is it for Power Book II: Ghost. After nearly four years on air, the spin-off series is set to enter its fourth and final season this Friday, June 7. The upcoming season will be split into two halves with part one beginning this Friday and part two airing later this year on September 6, which is the fourth anniversary of the Power Book II: Ghost series premiere. Season four promises a lot of action, drama, unexpected twists, and so much more. So, let’s see how many episodes of that you’ll receive altogether in the upcoming season.

How Many Episodes Are In Power Book II: Ghost Season 4?

Season four of Power Book II: Ghost will have a total of ten episodes. This is the same amount the series in each of its first three seasons. Some fans hoped that season four would deliver 20 episodes because the season was split into two parts months. Unfortunately, that is not the case as the series will stick to the usual 10 episodes for its final season.

Taraji P Henson To Return As BET Awards Host In 2024

Taraji P Henson says she’s “thrilled” to be returning as host of the BET Awards for a third time. The network announced she’ll be undertaking the role again for this year’s event at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles in a statement on Monday.

“I am thrilled to be returning as the host of the ‘BET Awards’ for the third time,” Henson said in a statement. “I am also looking forward to celebrating my peers and the impact of our culture on entertainment.” She previously hosted the event in 2021 and 2022. “Taraji is a phenom, known for her vibrant personality and charisma, and we are excited to welcome her back to host Culture’s Biggest Night, ‘BET Awards,’ the ultimate celebration of Black creativity,” Connie Orlando, EVP Specials, Music Programming & Music Strategy at BET, said in a statement. “We are equally as thrilled to have so many incredibly talented performers join us, standing on culture’s biggest stage to deliver an unforgettable night.”

Queen Latifah Shows Off Her Twerking Skills Alongside Janelle Monae And Gabrielle Union

Over the weekend, Janelle Monae took to the stage to celebrate pride month. They were booked as the headliner for one of the nights of this weekend’s West Hollywood Pride Outloud Fest. Kylie Minogue, Hot Chip, Diplo, Doechii, Ashnikko and more all performed over the weekend but Monae stole the show. They performed a myriad of fan favorites from throughout their career and even brought out a few guests to help celebrate the moment.

“I want my sisters out here. We gonna walk this runway together. Legends. Legends. Period,” Monae says in a video of her set where she’s joined by some special guests. Shortly after they’re joined by Queen Latifah and Gabriella Union. Subsequently, the trio dance together on stage, something Monae was excited to share with their followers on twitter. “(((( I love us and this so damn much )))) Happy PRIDE!!!” they said in a quote tweet tagging Latifah and Union.
