SOURCE SPORTS: Draymond Green to Miss Start of Season with Ankle Sprain

Fan Removed from Bucks-Warriors Game for Allegedly Threatening Draymond Green

The Golden State Warriors will be without their glue guy, Draymond Green, to start the season. According to ESPN, Draymond will be sidelined for up to six weeks with a left ankle sprain.

The injury occurred during a pickup game at Chase Center when Green stepped on the foot of Jonathan Kuminga.

“I dodged a bullet and learned that today by the way it’s [positively] reacting,” Green said to Andscape’s Marc Spears. “Even with an MRI you don’t see the trend of it immediately. The swelling is down.”

Green is expected to attend the Warriors media day on Monday.

Snoop Dogg Backs Out Of Coffee Company Investment

Snoop Dogg quietly backed out of his partnership with Indonesian businessman Michael Riady for the premium coffee brand INDOxyz, earlier this year. According to Page Six, his exit came just months after teaming up. He helped launch the premium coffee brand in March and was out of the company by the start of the summer.

Snoop apparently backed out amid issues involving Riady’s management and the company went under in just two months. “It took 16 days to do their investigation… Snoop and his team left the company, dropping all ownership and stake in the company… and they did not offer a reason,” a source told Page Six.

The brand’s president, Elbert Song, also commented on the situation to the outlet. “Working with Snoop and his incredible team on the launch of Indo was an amazing experience. I’m disappointed to see that journey end, but am excited to support a new venture, Flowin Coffee with female founder Tamie Tran,” he said. According to Page Six’s source, Riady has been telling people the split stemmed from a disagreement over what music to use to promote the brand.

Snoop Dogg recently discussed how he decides on which brands to work with during an interview with Distractify. He told the outlet: “I ain’t exclusive to nobody but me. Now if I’m exclusive to you, believe me, you [are going to give] me a motherf–king bag or piece of the company. That’s just always been my rule. Because I feel like you own me now — if I got to be exclusive to you, then you own me. So if you’re going to own me, I need to own a piece of this.” Elsewhere in the interview, Snoop mentioned wanting to host a children’s TV series.

A Snoop Dogg-Voiced Spam Call Company Has Reportedly Been Named In A Lawsuit By Frustrated Consumers

Across generations, Snoop Dogg is one of the most popular rappers. His likeness, lyrics, and catchphrases have ended up at the center of several hilarious moments in pop culture. However, one company’s use of the “Beautiful” musician’s voice has been the bane of some folks’ existence.

According to AllHipHop, Bottom Line Concepts’ telemarketing efforts using Snoop Dogg’s voice have reportedly landed them in a hated lawsuit. In court documents obtained by the outlet, an individual named Qiana Martin has sued the company for their excessive outreach efforts. The company made attempts to solicit business from Martin supposedly without expressed consent. When Martin did not answer a telephone call on August 30, a message dictated by Snoop Dogg was left on Martin’s voicemail.

A representative from Martin’s legal team claimed Martin was subject to “concrete harm” from the unsolicited communication. Martin is seeking damages for invasion of privacy and nuisance, as well as Martin’s incurred legal costs. The team notes that Martin is entitled to a minimum of $500 per call. However, they asserted Martin should receive $1,500 per call as the company’s continued actions were intentional despite Martin’s lack of engagement with the company and expressed disapproval.

Kanye West Called Cardi B An ‘Illuminati Plant’ In A Leaked Recording, So She Clapped Back With A Clip Of Her Own

In 2020, Kanye West took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his frustrations with record labels by leaking his contract with Universal Music Group. But that explosive moment wouldn’t be the last time a music label would be the center of one of the “Praise God” rapper’s random rants. In a now-viral clip, West took aim at Atlantic Records and one of their star acts, Cardi B.

During a phone call, West called out a host of industry professionals in what appears to be leaked footage from a documentary. “Cardi B is a plant by the Illuminati,” declared West.

He added, “She doesn’t write her raps. She’s just there to sound as ignorant as possible. She’s literally replaced Nicki Minaj purposely… She thinks it’s a blessing from the universe, it ain’t no f*cking blessing.”

After Cardi received wind of his statement, she subtly responded to her “Hot Sh*t” collaborator with her own clip. Last year, West sat down with Hollywood Unlocked’s Jason Lee. During their chat, he shared his admiration for Cardi.

“I’ve always believed in her since she was on the show,” said West, seemingly referring to her time on the reality show Love & Hip-Hop: New York.

Cardi B is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.
