For the past couple of years, Lil Uzi Vert has been teasing the release of their third studio album, The Pink Tape. However, much like the release of Uzi’s prior album, Eternal Atake, the rollout has been… let’s just say, “less than smooth.” Uzi’s producer Lyle Leduff posited that the genre-bending, gender-nonconforming artist had recorded over 1,500 songs, prompting them to push it back to make sure it “won’t suck.”
Today, Uzi rewarded fans’ patience by announcing the official release date for The Pink Tape: This Friday, June 30. Uzi announced the release with a heavy metal-backed, anime-inspired trailer that sees Uzi in full action-movie-hero guise, sword fighting their way through an ancient temple as the guardians blast at Uzi with pink energy beams. The trailer ends with Uzi acquiring a pink stone from the final guardian and putting it — where else? — on his forehead, right where he previously sported a pink gem of his own before taking it out due to some fan jostling.

Joe Budden has explained why he doesn’t sit down with more rappers on his podcast, saying that he doesn’t want to rely on guests. He spoke about his reasoning during an interview with the Rap Radar podcast.
“I’ll still interview a rapper or two,” Budden said at one point. “I’m just not gonna make it how y’all will make it. There’s not too many of them that I wanna pedestal. I don’t really fuck with all that, so.”

Budden also added that there are already so many podcasts that operate solely in the interviewing lane such as N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN’s Drink Champs. He continued, “I was too scared to rely on anything. I didn’t wanna have to rely on guests. I was never that well-liked…but the people that come and fuck with me, I have a relationship with them or somebody really, really close to me. Other then that, n****s be trying to pop up…but listen, I like that there are so many places for rappers to go. Cause I don’t wanna talk to them but I certainly wanna hear from them and hear more about them.”
While he doesn’t interview too many rappers on his podcast, hip-hop is still the main topic of discussion. On Sunday’s episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, he discussed the ongoing feud between Pusha T and Jim Jones. “Now let me be objective and do my job the right way,” he said. “I’m torn here like Latoya Luckett. Boy, am I torn. On one hand I know to leave Push it to you alone.”
“Retired me active me if you were gonna if I were ever gonna—I would get at that n***a actually—but boy would I be respectful of my approach,” he added. “I’d have to lead with the jab, set them up have had a lot of thought would go into it it wouldn’t be the body it wouldn’t be as reckless at because Pusha T is a methodical man outside of rapping he is a methodical thinking, planning man.”

Additionally, the trailer shows piloting and customizing one’s ship and mastering a refined combat system.
Gameplay
Starfield boasts an open world in the form of an area within the Milky Way galaxy. It contains both fictional and non-fictional planetary systems. The gameplay footage showcases the ability of players to land on more than 1,000 planets and an unspecified number of moons and space stations. The landscapes within the game are procedurally generated, with the terrain, alien flora, fauna, and locations of interest generated as the player approaches a planet.
At the start of the game, players can customize their character. They can choose their body, voice, appearance, background, and traits. As the game progresses, players can level up. This unlocks new abilities found in the game’s five distinct skill trees: Physical, Social, Combat, Science, and Tech. Equipped with various firearms, explosives, melee weapons, and even jetpacks, players can tackle various combat scenarios in the game.
Another intriguing aspect of the gameplay is the ability to scan planets for their natural resources. Players can extract or harvest these resources to fulfill many crafting recipes. Moreover, players can erect outposts to serve as homes or facilitate resource-extraction operations.

Ski Mask the Slump God blew the roof off the SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, IL, last Saturday. The 27-year-old rapper kicked off the second day of the rap festival with something special. During his performance, he brought on Nardwuar the Human Serviette, absolutely hyping up the crowd. Born John Ruskin, Nardwuar is a Canadian celebrity journalist and musician who is the lead singer and keyboardist for the Evaporators. His absurd, eccentric, yet well-researched interviews of rap and hip-hop stars are infamous.
While it appears Ski Mask did this for the memes, it’s still a great tribute to someone who can get rappers so riled up. Pharrell and Drake are on record saying their interviews with Nardwuar are the best they’ve ever had. However, other performers like Dave Rountree of Blur, Alice Cooper, Travis Barker, Beck, and Nas have either hung up on him or verbally or physically attacked Nardwuar. A polarizing figure in the rap game for sure, the journalist must’ve felt pretty good gracing the stage at one of rap’s most influential concerts of the year.
The Summer Smash 2023 featured an impressive lineup all weekend long, including Vince Staples, Ice Spice, Glorilla, Juicy J, Trippie Redd, and Rico Nasty. Headliners were Kid Cudi on Friday, Future on Saturday, and Playboi Carti on Sunday. Plus, special guest stars were $uicideboy$, Lil Uzi Vert, and Lil Durk. To put it bluntly, this was a massive show that didn’t disappoint. And when Ski Mask the Slump God pulled his Nardwuar stunt, the audience ate it up.

The upper of the sneaker is a gradient design that goes from black to white and features a mesh lining next to the laces. The laces are held in place with purple fasteners. The tongue features a purple Air Max logo and the heel features a purple “Nike Air” and a Swoosh. The insoles are the same shade of purple and feature Nike Swooshes in a 360-degree design.

Lil Uzi Vert has had a very interesting 24 hours. Of course, it all started when they performed at the BET Awards. During their performance, they played “Just Wanna Rock,” as well as a brand-new song that had never been heard before. Either way, it was a wild few hours for Uzi who was in all of the headlines.

Overall, this came as a big shock to people. While June seemed like a likely time for the album to be released, no one actually thought that Uzi would make good on their promise. Hazard has been at it for a long time, and it’s cool to see Hazard work with an artist like Uzi in this capacity. The Pink Tape is going to be a huge moment for hip-hop, and fans are ready. It’s been another busy day as updates continue to flow in from the YNW Mellydouble murder trial. Law & Crime reporter Bryson “Boom” Paul previously confirmed that one of the prosecution’s witnesses, Detective Danny Polo, will be removing the court-sanctioned ski mask he wore during last week’s testimony to protect his identity. Since taking off the face covering, the undercover officer has name-dropped several noteworthy rappers, including Juelz Santana and French Montana.
In one of Paul’s tweets, he shared that Polo stated that Santana is “a blood gang member.” At the time, the detective was reading a requested text message from a GBK gang member. He’s known as “Goon,” and he was reaching out to Melly’s shared phone with one of his alleged victims. Elsewhere in the same text, French Montana’s name is mentioned. However, Danny made it clear in today’s testimony that he’s unsure if the “Unforgettable” artist is gang-affiliated or not.

In another tweet approximately 30 minutes later, Paul referenced other messages sent to Melly and the late YNW SakChaser’s joint phone. Goon and an affiliate named Hurk were contacting the two young men, name-dropping other known rappers like Young Thug, Boosie Badazz, Quando Rondo, and JGreen in their texts. Interestingly, nearly every name on the list has been involved in legal trouble of their own lately, from the 40-year-old’s federal arrest earlier this month to Quando’s alleged affiliation with the Rollin’ 60s being outed during his arrest.

Conway The Machine is one of the most prolific artists in rap music right now. After already being involved in numerous musical projects so far this year he just announced the release date for another. His label, Drumwork, is about to release a new compilation album showcasing their various talents. The album is a similar premise to those from numerous other artist-led labels. Dreamville, YSL, G.O.O.D. Music and many others have made similar compilations in the past. Drumwork’s project is officially scheduled for release on July 7th.
Conway The Machine’s Instagram post served as both an announcement and a preview. The new project includes a documentary series on the label, which fans got a taste of. In the video he posted various artists explain how the label initially came to be and how they all turned hard times into great music. The first single from the forthcoming project dropped earlier this month. “Elephant Man” saw Conway teaming up with Goosebytheway, SK Da King, Heem B$F, and Rome Streetz for a banger posse cut.
Conway The Machine has already release two full albums in just the first half of 2023 alone. Back in March he dropped the album Pain Provided Profit. The project was a short outing that saw Conway teaming up with frequent-collaborator Jae Skeese. He followed it up with a more fleshed out new solo album in May. WON’T HE DO IT featured Benny The Butcher, Westside Gunn, Juicy J, and many of the Drumwork artists expected to appear on the upcoming album.
Conway The Machine recently amazed both his fans and his fellow rappers. A video posted to Instagram saw the rapper heading to the studio directly after being released from the hospital. Fans couldn’t believe that Conway could have leg surgery and then turn around and get back to work so quickly. Charlamagne says that he’s not confident Jim Jones’ recent response to Pusha T will be enough. The Dipset rapper released a track dissing Pusha on Saturday night. In the lyrics, he targets Pusha’s fashion sense, his relevancy in hip-hop, and his Clipse partner, No Malice. Charlamagne spoke about the effort on The Breakfast Club, Monday morning.
“I don’t think that’s enough,” he said. “I think if you shoot at Pusha, you just gotta go ahead and drop the nuke. You can’t just shoot. You just gotta go ahead and drop the nuke now. That’s what Pusha’s gonna do, if Pusha replies. If we’re looking at the way Pusha has replied before, Pusha gonna drop a nuke off top.”

When Envy began to suggest that Jones could have more in the tank, Charlamagne interject: “When you say ‘not yet’ with Pusha– you can’t say ‘not yet’ with Pusha. You either aim for the head or you do nothing.”
The feud between Jim Jones and Pusha T began back in April when Jones remarked that Pusha isn’t one of the 50 best rappers in hip-hop. The comment clearly stuck with Pusha, who responded by dissing Jones in a new Clipse track debuted at Pharrell’s first Louis Vuitton show, last week.
