Russell Simmons Blames The Devil For Father’s Day Meltdown

Def Jam co-founder Russell Simmons, his daughters Aoki and Ming, and ex-wife Kimora had a very public disagreement this past Father’s Day on social media. The Simmons ladies all accused Russel of being unhinged and needing help while revealing hurtful and shocking things they have alleged he has done and said. 

This year Russell blames the devil for what happened and is upset he wasn’t able to visit his daughters on his recent trip home from Bali…

Russell shared his feelings in a post on Instagram.

SO i went to America 9 days ago my office (Gushcloud) there had some critical meetings that “zoom couldn’t fix” –
and my new venture w/@snoopdogg and his son @cbroadus Sharestix is really exciting.. this kid @cbrodus i call him my mentor …..also i was co hosting a fun bet party (the prelude) with @mclyte which i helped set up but decided against attending ❤

fyi i generally only make those trips with the expectations that i can see my daughters

last fathers day i spent 3 days in a row in nyc with my beloved @aokileesimmons but this year God or the devil 👿 had other plans .:/still for sure im grateful for all experiences God sends… sometimes they are not easy to digest but there ARE lessons ,. Remember to remember to always look for the blessings in the perceived curses, they are always there

Wilson Announces Chi-League Return for Summer 2023

Wilson Sporting Goods Co. is thrilled to announce the revival of the legendary Chicago pro-am league, now rebranded as Wilson Chi-League™. Demonstrating their dedication to the local basketball community, the renowned sports brand will host a month-long tournament at the prestigious Whitney Young High School, spanning July and August.

“Chicago has been Wilson’s home for more than 100 years, so we take great pride in bringing the Wilson Chi-League to the city, even bigger and better in 2023,” said Kevin Murphy, General Manager, Wilson Team Sports. “We believe sports have the power to unite, and we look forward to bringing together the best basketball talent in Chicago, as well as hosting community-focused events throughout the tournament.”

The highly anticipated Wilson Chi-League will occur over three consecutive Saturdays (July 22, July 29, and Aug. 5), culminating in Championship Sunday on Aug. 13, 2023. This year’s league will feature eight teams in both the men’s and women’s divisions, showcasing local legends and current NBA players, including Jabari Parker, Patrick Beverley, Wendell Carter Jr., and more. Notably, the tournament has received NCAA sanctioning, enabling the participation of current student-athletes.

In collaboration with YMCA of the USA, Wilson will also organize engaging events for the Metro Chicago community, such as a youth basketball clinic, a female empowerment and body positivity seminar, and a park beautification project. Additionally, Wilson will make a notable appearance at the Bud Biliken Parade on Saturday, Aug. 12.

EMPIRE, the renowned independent music powerhouse, hosted an exclusive and star-studded brunch in Los Angeles to celebrate the upcoming BET Awards. The event was held to honor EMPIRE’s own nominees and recent achievements, including Peezy for Video of the Year, King Combs for Best Collaboration, PJ Morton for the Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspiration Award, and Asake for Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act.

The brunch, hosted by Ghazi, the Founder and CEO of EMPIRE, gathered a remarkable lineup of artists and friends affiliated with the label. Dreezy, Mozzy, Key Glock, Rotimi, Allstar JR, G Perico, Lil Twist, T-Rell, K Camp, June Freedom, Sauce Walka, Shaboozey, Tyla Yaweh, Yatta Bandz, RMC Mike, and more were in attendance. The event featured specialty cocktails by Grand Marnier, offering a delightful fusion of cognac and exotic bitter orange liqueur. The hunt for Pat Sajak’s replacement on Wheel of Fortune is already over as Ryan Seacrest will take on the role. The reveal came on the official Wheel of Fortune Twitter: “It’s official! Starting in 2024 @ryanseacrest will take the stage as the new host of Wheel of Fortune. We’re so excited – Welcome Ryan!.”

“I’m truly humbled to be stepping into the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak,” Seacrest said in a statement. “I can say, along with the rest of America, that it’s been a privilege and pure joy to watch Pat and Vanna on our television screens for an unprecedented 40 years, making us smile every night and feel right at home with them.”

The famed Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak announced his retirement earlier this month.

Hitting Twitter, Sajak announced he would end his tenure after the next season, which begins in September.

“Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last,” Sajak wrote. “It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all. (If nothing else, it’ll keep the clickbait sites busy!)”

“As the host of Wheel of Fortune, Pat has entertained millions of viewers across America for 40 amazing years,” Suzanne Prete, executive vice president of game shows at Sony Pictures Television, said in a statement,. “We are incredibly grateful and proud to have had Pat as our host for all these years and we look forward to celebrating his outstanding career throughout the upcoming season. Pat has agreed to continue as a consultant on the show for three years following his last year hosting, so we’re thrilled to have him remaining close to the Wheel of Fortune family.”

Quando Rondo Granted $100K Bond, Must Surrender Passport and Avoid Guns and Drugs

Quando Rondo Charged in Multi-Page 49 Count Indictment

Quando Rondo was granted bond in his gang indictment case. In addition to the $100,000 bond set on Monday, Rondo has a list of obligations to meet to remain out of prison leading to trial.

According to WJCL 22, Chatham County Superior Court Judge Tammy Stokes stated, “The court finds it significant that the defendant surrendered himself for arrest the day after he learned of the warrant for his arrest.”

As a condition, Rondo had to surrender his passport, couldn’t speak with co-defendants, must stay away from guns and illegal drugs, waive extradition, and couldn’t break laws. He must also be present at each of his court hearings.

In the previous update, Judge Tammy Stokes wanted to take “all of the information presented by both sides” before the bond decision.

Quando Rondo is one of 19 people charged in a multi-page indictment out of Chatham County, Georgia.

According to WJCL-TV, Rondo, born Tyquin Terrel Bowman, is included in the 49 counts of drug charges, gang affiliation, and illegal use of cell phones. Each of those being charged carries multiple charges.

Quando Rondo is accused of violating the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act and named a manager of the Rollin’ 60’s gang. He also faces charges for the illegal use of communication for using a cell phone to set up the sale of marijuana.

Rondo traveled to Macon, GA, on June 4 to pay for the marijuana; others traveled to Atlanta to deliver money to a supplier.

Before Quando Rondo’s arrest, Tremaine Grant, Samuel Yousman, and Angelo Mcnair were arrested for fentanyl, pills, and firearms. Grant is stated to be a manager of the gang with Rondo.
