With every new online interaction, it seems clearer and clearer that Nicki Minaj is hopping on a remix of Ice Spice’s “Princess Diana.” Moreover, the Queen just tweeted a remixed version of Spice’s lyrics from the song, which fans are blown away by already. “Like GRAH, keep it a stack,” she began, referencing the track’s main hook melody and phrase. “B!tches is a** if we keepin it crakk,” she concluded, and it probably took a while for many to realize that those aren’t the lyrics in the original. As such, many hoped for an official guest verse to come sooner rather than later.

Of course, it wouldn’t be the first time that Nicki impressed fans with her bars, whether it’s minutes or years after she releases them. The same happened in the case of her recent single “Red Ruby Da Sleeze,” which fans received quite well amid a lot of hype. Known for maintaining a reclusive air, and taking a long hiatus between projects, Joey Badass is looking to make some more musical contributions.

On Thursday (March 30), the “Cruise Control” rapper took to Twitter to reveal that he is planning on giving some features to some of his peers in the game.

“To all my musical friends, peers and colleagues, who have a collaborative interest, nows the time,” he said in a tweet. “Knocking out any and all features over the next month. My pen is hot, it’s a fire sale. $$.”

Though he did not indicate pricing points, several artists took to the replies to express interest in working with Joey.

Last year, he released his third studio album, 2000, and hasn’t slowed down since. He recently starred in his Grownish co-star Chlöe’s video for her Future-assisted single, “Cheatback.” He’s also been acting on shows like Power Book III: Raising Kanan.

In a recent Instagram live, Joey revealed that he is already hard at work on his fourth studio album.

“Yes, I am actively knee-deep in working on my new album, and I’m trying to get it to y’all as soon as possible,” he said. “I ain’t gonna say no dates ’cause I don’t wanna let you muthaf*ckas down and get y’all hopes up but I am working on it.”

Offset Blasts Quality Control Music On Twitter

Offset just set off a bomb on Twitter by confirming his label issues with Quality Control and his inability to drop music. Moreover, he took to Twitter on Saturday (April 1) and let off a few tweets seemingly aimed at the label, though hopefully it’s a poorly-timed April Fool’s. “Never thought life be this f***ed up #LLTake,” the Georgia rapper tweeted, adding a rocket emoji. “I can’t drop music also.” In a separate tweet, he wrote, “Black ppl holding black ppl back.” Furthermore, many in the comments expressed support for ‘Set, not only amid his label issues but given his grief.

What’s more is that this follows reports of details concerning the Migos MC’s lawsuit against his record higher-ups. “Offset now brings this action to vindicate his rights and make it clear to the world that Offset, not Quality Control, owns Offset’s music,” the suit stated. Around 2021, he “came to understand the full ramification of the deal that he entered into,” according to the lawsuit, and fought with the label over who owned his work. It seems like he sold his previous music but got out of his contract, yet QCM still tried to claim rights for his song “54321.”

However, this is still a murky situation, especially given the record company’s stance on it. “The label claimed it had an agreement with Capitol Records that required Capitol to assign all of Capitol’s rights in sound recordings obtained by Quality Control’s ‘Accepted Artist’ that it had furnished to Capitol back to Quality Control,” a RadarOnline report read. Still, the 31-year-old’s lawyer maintained a different perspective.

“Quality Control no longer owns the copyright to Offset’s solo sound recordings and is no longer licensing Offset’s solo sound recordings to Capitol, and Capitol has acquired ownership of Offset’s solo sound recordings directly from Offset,” they expressed. With all this in mind, Offset’s solo future remains in the balance musically, but there’s no doubt he still has many fans behind him. As such, hopefully this can get cleared out amongst the two parties to result in a less heated and scrutinized public beef. What’s more is that, beyond excitement for a new record, he sampled a voice clip from Kim Kardashian. That already would’ve been enough to stir the pot.
