Dr. Dre’s 1992 Classic ‘The Chronic’ Has Returned To Streaming Services

For a year, Dr. Dre’s groundbreaking solo debut record, The Chronic, has been unavailable to stream after being pulled down while Dre and his respective labels, Death Row Records and Interscope, wrangled over the rights behind the scenes. Today, though, it’s finally back as part of its 30th-anniversary celebration (it was released in December 1992, so it’s kinda borderline, but we’ll take it).

In a statement, Dre said, “I am thrilled to bring The Chronic home to its original distribution partner, Interscope Records. Working alongside my longtime colleagues, Steve Berman and John Janick, to re-release the album and make it available to fans all over the world is a full circle moment for me.”

The last time The Chronic was on streaming was in 2020, however, after Snoop Dogg secured the rights to the Death Row Records catalog early last year, several of the label’s seminal releases went missing from DSPs, with Snoop explaining that he wanted to create a new platform since DSPs pay reportedly minuscule royalties on streams.

There was also some confusion over just who owned the rights to The Chronic; while Snoop initially said it was part of the Death Row catalog, Dre’s lawyer denied that it was. Eventually, it seems they got things cleared up and the real winner in all this is the fans, who get to revisit the album that changed gangsta rap forever.

Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance Tour’ Announcement Has Fans Elated And In Formation To Buy Tickets

Beyoncé fans may have joked about dreading the effects her eventual Renaissance tour would have on their checkbooks, but now that the announcement has been made, it looks like they can’t wait to give her all their money — even if it is the first of the month when the rent’s due.

While some fans have been joking about selling the family homestead to afford the tickets, which are currently only available to fans who register on Beyoncé’s website. This is likely a precautionary measure to avoid a repeat of Ticketmaster’s Eras Tour debacle, which angered Taylor Swift fans enough that even Congress stepped in to grill the ticket platform’s parent company, Live Nation.

Meanwhile, other Beyoncé fans are trying to take a different tack, urging others to avoid her concerts with dire, tongue-in-cheek warnings of the dangers of her siren’s call. One fan even went so far as to play one of Beyoncé’s signature songs, “Single Ladies,” in reverse, a sly reference to past satanic panics (although those usually involved heavy metal bands in the ’80s).

And due to the high demand, plenty of fans expressed plans to see their fave by hook or crook, even if it means also making travel plans to see her in a completely different city.

Clearly, The Beyhive is thriving today, and Black History Month is off to a great start. But one question remains: Where are the visuals, sis?

Eagles OL Josh Sills Indicted On Rape & Kidnapping Charges: Details

Josh Sills, an offensive lineman for the Philadelphia Eagles, is now facing some very serious charges ahead of the Super Bowl. According to TMZ, Sills was recently indicted on kidnapping and rape charges. Overall, this is huge news given the fact the Super Bowl is in 10 days.

Officials have stated that Sills was being investigated for an alleged incident that occurred in Ohio back in December of 2019. As per the report, Sills allegedly engaged in non-consensual sex and additionally kept the woman against her wishes.

Josh Sills Going Forward

Although these are some pretty massive chargers, the Eagles have yet to issue a response. For now, it seems like they are waiting for more information, especially given the circumstances. Moreover, it is important to note that Sills is currently a rookie reserve lineman, which means it is uncertain as to what his status will be for next Sunday.

For now, Sills will have to continue cooperating with officials as the case moves forward. On February 16th, Sills will be going t court, which just so happens to be days following the big game.

If you have followed the team this season, you know Sills hasn’t played much. He got playing time in one game, and that was it. However, he still remains on the roster. Now, the Eagles will have to answer for signing him despite the investigation that had been ongoing.

Nia Long Explains Comments On “Black Movies”

Nia Long has explained her recent comments on not liking the term “Black movies.” She elaborated on the opinion during an appearance on The Daily Show with guest host Wanda Sykes.

“What I mean by that is, if we continue to practice this idea of separatism, we continue to divide,” Long said. “And I will always and forever hold my fist up because I understand the experience. But I also believe the more we understand about one another, and the more accepting we are of one another, this thing called art should be representative of all of us.”

Long had originally told Buzzfeed that the idea of “Black movies” only serves to “hold us back.”

“I think terms like that hold us back,” Long said. “And I have to catch myself sometimes too, because I’m very proud of who I am.”

“When I use the word ‘Black,’ I don’t use it as a way to separate ourselves from anyone,” Long told the outlet. “I use it as a way to put an exclamation point behind our greatness, because I don’t think that it’s always been celebrated and recognized.”

She continued: “I’m here to represent who we are. And if you want to come along for the ride, everyone’s welcome!”

Nia Long’s latest film, You People, was released on Netflix on Friday. She stars alongside Eddie Murphy, Jonah Hill, Lauren London, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and more. The story follows a young couple who deal with cultural clashes and generational divides.

Long recently revealed that she wants to work with Murphy on another rom-com at some point in the future.

Simmons took to TikTok where she rocked a gray bodysuit and CMG chain gifted to her by To Gotti while mouthing a Nicki Minaj quote from Queen Radio. Prior to that, she shared a photo of herself, dripped out in a silver two-piece outfit while the CMG chain dangled on her neck.

The couple was spotted on a baecation before they publicly confirmed that they were together in October. Gotti and Simmons made their relationship official on New Year’s Day, which elicited plenty of reactions across the board. The couple rang in 2023 together but in recent weeks, they’ve popped out quite frequently at Memphis Grizzlies games.

“Happier than I ever been,” Simmons wrote on Instagram after her and Gotti announced their relationship. Meanwhile, the Memphis rapper made it clear that he wasn’t taking any Ls when it comes to his love life, writing, “[Ain’t] loss a crush since High School.”

Shannon Sharpe Reacts To Tom Brady’s Retirement

Shannon Sharpe has said a lot about Tom Brady this season. In fact, Sharpe has gotten into some substantial arguments with his co-host Skip Bayless over Brady. Overall, it has led to some interesting moments on TV that have gone extremely viral online.

Subsequently, Brady has decided to retire from the game of football. After a year of playing subpar football, TB12 realized that it was time to hang them up. Now, he will get to go to Fox Sports where he will make an absurd salary over 10 years.

Shannon Sharpe Reacts

In the Twitter clip down below, Sharpe can be heard commenting on Brady’s retirement. Overall, Shannon is not surprised by this decision. As he explains, Brady was not great this year, and it was the right call to leave before things get worse.

“It’s tough to walk away from something you love, but I think this is the right thing to do,” Sharpe said.

Although Sharpe made some great points, there was no doubt that Bayless was going to disagree. Bayless felt as though Brady was probably going to come back. However, he was proven wrong. Now, Bayless seems to think this retirement decision is final.

“Last year, I didn’t get it and pushed back. But this feels permanent to me,” he said.

Tom Brady will now get to enjoy his time away from the game that he has dedicated decades to. It will be weird to have an NFL season without Brady, although it will open up the league for future stars.
