Bryce James Shows Out In His Sophomore Mixtape: Watch

Bryce James is the youngest son of LeBron James. At 15 years old, Bryce has certainly impressed people. He already stands tall at 6’6″ and at this point, he is just one more growth spurt away from becoming taller than his father. Although most of the attention is on Bronny right now, there is no doubt that Bryce is seen as a rising star. Overall, there is a belief that Bryce will even be a better player than Bronny. This is due to his size, athleticism, and even his perimeter shooting ability.

Of course, it is going to be a very long road before he can truly prove himself as a top-tier high school talent. You usually do not get there in your Sophomore season. However, Bryce has at least made an impression on basketball fans across the country. He is someone that people are watching out for, and there is no doubt that this will continue to be the case over the next couple of years. At the end of the day, people just want to see him and Bronny on an NBA court.

Bryce James Continues To Develop

Recently, BallIsLife.com came out with a sophomore hoops mixtape for Bryce. Although some might find it too early in his development for this kind of content, we should have known it is coming. Throughout the aforementioned clip, Bryce can be seen demonstrating tremendous athleticism. Moreover, he is clearly someone who is dedicated to helping out his team in any way possible. There are some very solid highlights here, and there is no doubt that his dunking ability will only get more impressive. Just like Bronny, he is someone with a high basketball IQ, and that will only get better with age.

As for his brother Bronny, he will be deciding where he goes to college, very soon. This is going to be a monumental decision, and we cannot wait to see where he goes. For years to come, the James brothers will continue to be a force in the basketball world. In the meantime, let us know what you think of Bryce’s mixtape, in the comments section down below.

Wallo Shares Pooh Shiesty Update After Discussing Prison Reform At Capitol Hill

The streets are waiting for Pooh Shiesty to come home. In a short amount of time, he became one of the most promising figures in the South with the success of his single, “Back In Blood” ft. Lil Durk. Unfortunately, the rapper was derailed after he was sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to a federal conspiracy charge. The conviction related to an incident in Miami in 2020 where he discharged a firearm. The incident was caught on camera and immediately spread across social media. Nonetheless, he hasn’t allowed his current situation to prevent him from releasing new music.

Despite his legal issues, the rapper appears to be in good spirits. Last week, the rapper issued a lengthy statement on social media where he reflected on the wealth he amassed at a young age while assuring his fans that jail hasn’t impacted him mentally. “King Shiesty tappin in from the middle of the pennititary aka Hell where they say i cant go, jailing no telling!!” Pooh wrote. “I still remain Untouched, Millions still in double digits! Tell google fix my net worth we can verify that shit right now. Yeah I’m locked up not fucked up. I was 21, up 8 figures; Jay-Z can’t even relate. My money triple my follwers.”

Wallo Meets Pooh Shiesty’s Father

Wallo is among the legion of fans calling for Pooh Shiesty’s freedom. The podcast host revealed that he recently linked up with Pooh Shiesty’s father to speak at Capitol Hill about prison conditions. Wallo explained that he and Pooh Shiesty’s dad spoke to 11 representatives to discuss prison reform in an attempt to address the conditions inside correctional facilities across America.

Additionally, Wallo revealed that he also spoke to Pooh Shiesty on the phone. “We just got off the phone with Pooh. He’s in good spirits. We making some moves. Listen, just stay tuned,” he said. Hopefully, the conversations that Wallo and Pooh Shiesty’s father are having will help push forward the conversation surrounding prison reform. Check out Wallo’s post above and sound off with your thoughts in the comment section below. Do you miss Pooh Shiesty?

Michael B. Jordan’s Calvin Klein Photos Have Twitter Thirsting

As he prepares for the quickly approaching premiere of his directorial debut, Creed III, Michael B. Jordan is more in his element than ever before. The actor’s schedule has been filled with meetings, photoshoots, and red carpet premieres recently, and he’s been bringing his best energy to them all. However, that doesn’t mean he won’t hesitate to check reporters over their past insults now that he’s in his prime.

Last week, the California-born entertainer stepped out for an early screening of his film. Ahead of the movie’s start time, he took a moment to chat with Lore’l of The Morning Hustle, who he accused of previously calling him corny. It’s since been confirmed that a cohost was actually the one to make the defamatory comment, which she doubled down on before also bringing Nick Cannon’s name into the conversation.

Michael Reacts to “Corny” Comments

When Lore’l told viewers that she and Jordan “go way back,” he called her out, saying, “Oh yeah, I was the corny kid, right?” The interviewer went on to defend herself and state that she was being misquoted before assuring the 36-year-old that “he is obviously killing things out here.” Before the multi-talent walked away, she added, “You’re not corny anymore.”

It didn’t take long for internet sleuths to pull up the audio of the past interaction, during which Dominique Da Diva had some things to say about Jordan. “You know what I really think deep down inside? I think that Michael B. Jordan is a nice, corny guy, and I don’t mean that as a slight,” she quipped at the time. “We all know the nice, corny guys treat you the best.”

Twitter Thirsts After MBJ

Regardless of the “corny” allegations he’s battling, the Black Panther star’s new Calvin Klein photos have reminded social media how much of a heartthrob he really is. Unleashed on Monday (February 27), the black and white images see Jordan posing in various colours of the brand’s form-fitting boxer briefs, putting his abs on full display. Obviously, it didn’t take long for thirsty replies to start pouring in.

“It’s going to take the rest of the day to recover from this,” Hulu’s official account wrote this afternoon. “We goin’ turn that creed into BREED,” and “All I would need is 10 minutes and every fluid from his body would be drained,” other, more salacious replies read. Keep scrolling to see what else Twitter is saying about Michael B. Jordan, and check back later for more pop culture news.

What is Lebron James’ net worth?

LeBron James has a lot of titles under his belt: MVP, Rookie of the Year G.O.A.T. (arguably), All-Star and many more. A few of those could be applied to other NBA stars who have also won plenty of accolades, but he does have one that most athletes don’t: billionaire.

The NBA star has spent 20 seasons atop the NBA as arguably its best player through that entire stretch. That alone would result in a lot of money as James has had quite a few lucrative contracts as a result.

LeBron James’ official net worth is $1 billion. He hit this mark in June of 2022, per Forbes’ estimation. The Los Angeles Lakers star hit a financial milestone only achieved by two other athletes: Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan.

That $1 billion number will continue to grow, especially after James retires and transitions to Hollywood, sports analysis, ownership or anything else he decides to pursue. Here’s how he got to that mark, though.

DALLAS, TX – FEBRUARY 26 : LeBron James #6 of the Los Angeles Lakers puts up a shot and scores against the Dallas Mavericks in the second half at American Airlines Center on February 26, 2023 in Dallas, Texas. How LeBron James’ net worth reached $1 billion

LeBron James began this journey back in 2003 when he was first drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers. His initial contract afforded him just over $4 million according to Spotrac.

As he continued to get better and more money was available in sports, his contracts got bigger and bigger. His first contract with the Miami Heat gave him $14.5 million. When he rejoined the Cavaliers, it was for $20.6 million.

Signing with the Lakers proved to be an excellent financial decision, as his most recent contract year (2022-2023) earned almost $44.5 million. All totaled, James has earned about $431.9 million over 20 seasons.

LeBron James’ endorsements

That is only a fraction of his net worth, though. Being the most profitable face in basketball (and perhaps the entire sports world) has its perks. James has been endorsed by or a sponsor for a lot of brands over the years.

These include but are not limited to Coca-Cola, 2K Sports, Tonal, Ruffles, AT&T, Beats Electronics, KIA Motors, Nike, Walmart, RIMOWA, Mountain Dew, GMC and Wheaties.

Nike has been a huge contributor to LeBron James’ staggering net worth. Just from his 2016 contract with the company for a shoe deal, the NBA’s leading scorer will earn another $1 billion over his lifetime.

James also became the face of Ruffles, which is one of the biggest potato chip brands in the world. They’re the official chip brand of the NBA, which only helps improve the net worth of the league’s biggest star.

AT&T has plenty of star athletes as sponsors. They frequent the commercials, such as LaMelo Ball, Matthew Stafford or Sue Bird. They pale in comparison to the value and recognizability of James, though.

The Lakers’ forward has also been a luxury ambassador for Kia Motors since 2014. They are one of the more prominent car brands and even partnered with the athlete to make the LeBron James Stinger GT, a car after his own name.

James signed with Beats in 2008 and earned $1 million per commercial with them. It’s rumored that he earned over $500 million after Apple bought the company.

These are just a few of the endorsements that the 20-year NBA veteran has earned, but it’s easy to see how he’s accumulated a net worth of over $1 billion. Being a star athlete has its financial perks, but endorsements are where a lot of the money truly comes from.

LeBron James in Hollywood: The making of a billionaire

Playing in Los Angeles has its downsides, but it also has a lot of perks. It’s right near Hollywood, which is where James has spent some time. Per IMDb, the NBA superstar has been a producer for 52 projects, with six more upcoming.

He’s also been an actor, starring in films like Space Jam: A New Legacy, Trainwreck, House Party (2023) and Smallfoot. These movies aren’t cheap to make and the stars often get sizable paydays.

He is also credited as a writer for four projects. While he’s obviously not known for his movie and television star power, James has clearly had a lot of experience (and a lot of money) in that arena.

It takes a lot to earn $1 billion in any field. Athletes, even those on absurd $500 million deals, have rarely achieved this feat. Most people don’t achieve this feat as only about 3,300 people are currently billionaires.

James’ on-court stats, highlights and more are impressive, but what he’s done off of it is equally as impressive.

Becoming the NBA’s leading scorer is incredibly challenging, but so is becoming only the second billionaire in NBA history- and the first to ever become one while still playing. Even Michael Jordan, who ascended to billionaire status in 2016, didn’t do that.

Drake Is So Famous That He Had To Attend A Friend’s Court Hearing Disguised As An Old Man

For as many benefits as there are to being one of the most famous entertainers, there are certainly a fair amount of drawbacks as well. Nobody knows this better than Drake; the tension between enjoying the good things and regretting the bad parts of being successful is one of the core tenets of his music output.

As it turns out, though, this isn’t just limited to his music. During his FUTUREMOOD conversation with Lil Yachty, the Canadian star recounted the extreme measures he sometimes takes to avoid causing a ruckus whenever he goes out. Drake recalled donning makeup and prosthetics provided by a Hollywood expert to make himself look like an old man in order to attend a friend’s court hearing.

However, it was all for naught; he says that despite the realistic makeup, people still recognized him. ““Everyone is like, ‘Is that Drake as an 80-year-old?’” he remembered. ” “Yo, I had one of the best Hollywood makeup artists in the world, and they were still like, ‘That’s definitely Drake in there. It did not work.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Drake addressed his habit of name-checking his exes in his music, saying that he regrets the disruptions it creates in their lives, as well as the potential for making a “graceful exit” from the spotlight — which may be harder for him a lot of his contemporaries, considering this story. Fortunately, he avoided having to make a court appearance in the case against XXXTentacion’s alleged killers.

Are Joey Badass And Actress Serayah Dating?

Aside from the occasional past faux pas, Joey Badass has been relatively low-key on social media, letting his music do most of the talking for his public image. However, a recent post on his Instagram has prompted a flurry of speculative reactions from fans who think he might have revealed a rare personal detail.

In the post, Joey sits at a fancy-looking restaurant wearing a suit and a du-rag, getting cozy with actress/singer Serayah McNeill. Not only are they sitting extremely close together, but they’re also looking at each other with that instantly recognizable expression that says “let’s skip dessert and get straight to the fun part of the evening.”

The post has certainly inspired its fair share of breathless posts over in gossip blog land. Meanwhile, fans on Twitter were quick to express a variety of reactions ranging from disbelief to giddy excitement.

The two certainly have had time to get cozy in the past year, thanks to McNeill’s recurring role on Wu-Tang: An American Saga, on which Joey appeared as Inspectah Deck in its first season. However, he left the role in order to focus on his appearance in Power Book III: Raising Kanan — which is tied to McNeill’s own Black Mafia Family as both shows are produced by 50 Cent. Of course, this could also just be a promotion for a new project or release that Joey has coming out soon, as well. Time will tell.

In the meantime, Joey himself is set to appear on Logic’s new album College Park after releasing his own well-received album, 2000.

2023 SAG Awards Red Carpet: See All The Best-Dressed Celebrities

We celebrated some of the best in Black talent during Saturday’s (February 25) NAACP Image Awards. Afterward, the final eve of the weekend found many of the same faces at the 2023 Screen Actors Guild Awards. The ceremony markedly honours each year’s best in TV and film, as well as the best-dressed on the red carpet. This time, it was Everything Everywhere All At Once, Abbott Elementary, and The White Lotus that came out on top.

The latter series is an HBO Original that previously quickly rose in popularity. It was created by School of Rock actor Mike White. The hit show took home two awards last night. One was for Jennifer Coolidge’s iconic performance as Tanya and another for Best Ensemble in a Drama Series. The moment was undeniably huge for everyone involved. Still, Aubrey Plaza was obviously annoyed during her time on stage for the speech.

Audrey’s Awkward Moment

Following the ceremony, footage of the Parks & Recreation starlet has been making rounds on social media for several reasons. She appears to surprisingly be nearly elbowed and pushed out of the way by many costars on the platform. Surely that would bother anyone, but it was the next interaction that seemed to really set Plaza off.

In the middle of the speech, fellow performer Jon Gries obviously appears to make an upsetting comment. Many believe he told the Delaware native her chest was evidently slipping out of her Michael Kors gown. Immediately after the comment was quietly made, she accordingly adjusts her dress, anger obvious on her face. At various points, Plaza specifically seems to mouth, “Shit’s f*cked… Jesus Christ.”

Aubrey’s outfit certainly didn’t turn out the way she had hoped. Thankfully, other SAG Award patrons had far better luck. Zendaya finally gave fans an incredible serve two nights in a row. Elsewhere, Angela Bassett’s bright yellow gown had her glowing. Keep scrolling to see all our red carpet favourites, and check back later for more pop culture news.
