Rolling Loud Addresses Kid Cudi Incident: “Be Respectful To Everyone”

Rolling Loud has a reputation for being one of the more chaotic music festivals in the U.S., and 2022’s Miami stop is proving to be no exception.

On the first day alone, many fans suffered the disappointment of no longer being able to see Kanye West after he pulled out of his headlining spot, though the father of four still did come through with a surprise guest appearance during Lil Durk’s set.

The artist tapped to replace Ye was his frequent collaborator and current enemy, Kid Cudi. Upon hearing the news last week, many were quick to express their discontent at the selection, wondering why someone like Travis Scott wasn’t picked.

Despite the complaining, the show still went on last night – unfortunately, though, it didn’t have a happy ending.

After being struck in the head with a water bottle from a disrespectful attendee in the crowd (and having several other things thrown at him and in his direction), Scott Mescudi opted to walk offstage after giving a stern warning to the audience.

“If I get hit with one more f*ckin’ thing, if I see one more f*ckin’ thing on this f*ckin’ stage, I’m leaving. Don’t f*ck with me,” the “Mr. Rager” artist promised.

In response to the incident, Rolling Loud has issued an official statement. “Rolling Loud is a family,” they began.

“Our fans, the artists, and everyone involved need to look out for each other. Share the love and be respectful to everyone. We love you, Cudi. Please take care of each other and let’s have an amazing day 2!”

Slump6s Drops Off “Genesis”

Slump6s has been staying busy. In 2021, he released his debut album Origin. Then, just last month, he dropped B4GEN, a 5-song EP. Now he’s already back with another project, this time an album with a whopping 21 songs.

Genesis sees Slump6s continuing to do what he’s good at. The rapper delivers melodic bars in the vein of Playboi Carti over a variety of synth-heavy beats designed to blow out your speakers. For the most part, Slump6s carries the album all on his own, joined only by Destroy Lonely on the song “Red” and sgpwes on “Liv & Maddie.”

It’s no wonder why Slump6s finds himself overflowing with melodies. Growing up, he obsessively watched videos of Michael Jackson and jump into his dad’s music studio beginning at the age of 6. In school, he played orchestral instruments in band, while consuming the music of XXXTentacion and Lil Uzi Vert voraciously. This widely varying music background can be seen all over his own projects.

Pusha T’s Wife Receives A Richard Mille Watch From Him On Their 4th Wedding Anniversary

For many couples, wedding anniversaries are the perfect time to let your significant other know just how much they mean to you – Pusha T and his wife, Virginia Williams are no exception.

Earlier this week, on Thursday (July 21), the duo celebrated their fourth year of being married to each other, and after spending months labouring away on his highly acclaimed It’s Almost Dry album, the New York native was happy to award his wife with an expensive gift for her patience and support.

A video that’s been uploaded to social media shows Williams laying on a bed while unwrapping and unzipping a box from her partner. “Babe, have you lost your mind?!” she excitedly asks upon realizing that the package contains a Richard Mille watch.

“What?! That’s so hard!” her enthusiasm continued.

Pusha and his bridge exchanged vows on July 21, 2018, during a star-studded affair in Virginia Beach. As is sometimes tradition with weddings, the 7/21 date is of high significance for the couple.

“For whatever reason, I see the number 721 almost every day in crazy places,” Williams shared in a past interview with Brides.

“On 7/21/16 Terrence had me believing he was in L.A. but popped up at our home in Bethesda. He told me to meet him on our rooftop terrace…when I did he was on one knee and asked me to marry him at 7:21 pm! I said yes!

In other news, just last month Pusha T gave his thoughts on Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers album, calling it “great competition” – read more about that here, and tap back in with HNHH later for more hip-hop news updates.

First U.S. Case of Polio in Nearly a Decade Found in New York State

A case of polio has been detected in an unvaccinated man in New York State. According to the New York Times, the New York State Department of Health identified the man as a resident of Rockland County.

According to the Department of Health, the infection was transmitted from someone who did not receive the vaccine, which has not been administered in the country since 2000. There is optimism that the virus originated outside the United States.

“I want to stress that this individual is no longer contagious,” said Ed Day, the Rockland County executive. “Our efforts now are focused on two issues: vaccinations and figuring out if anyone else has been impacted by this disease.”

Officials now recommend completing vaccinations for those who have not, citing that those who have had all three shots are close to 100 percent protection.

The man infected with Polio is believed to have “weakness and paralysis” and now his family and close contacts are being surveyed to ensure no additional risk to the community.

Prior to this case, the last trace of polio in the U.S. was in 2013, when the disease was brought from abroad. There has not been a case that originated in the United States since 1979.

Reflecting on what by now can be considered a cultural touchstone, the trio’s centerpiece Everlast, aka Erik Francis Schrody observed, “To be a part of something that has impacted the culture as much as House of Pain and ‘Jump Around’ did is beyond an honor and a blessing. As a kid with rap dreams, I never could have imagined 30 years later that our work is still being listened to and played in the biggest venues in the world.”

Everlast, DJ Lethal and Danny Boy formed House of Pain while attending high school and were signed to Tommy Boy Records after fashioning themselves as rowdy Irish-American hooligans, hitting the local rap & alternative music scene. Their debut album House of Pain (Fine Malt Lyrics) was released in 1992 and went multi-platinum, thanks to the smash hit single “Jump Around” which was produced by Cypress Hill’s DJ Muggs. The song hit #3 on the Billboard Top 100 Chart in the US and charted Top 10 globally, including in the UK and Canada.

“Jump Around” has been named one of the best songs in Hip-Hop (NME, VH1, Q Magazine, The Source) and continues to remain not only a club classic, but also one of most recognizable sports anthems, energizing crowds at stadiums, arenas and ballparks throughout the world, with one of the most recognizable beats in hip-hop history.

[WATCH] Charleston White Calls For Death To Gangs: May They Die Like King Von, Nipsey Hussle, Drakeo The Ruler

Screen Shot 2022 07 22 at 9.58.12 AM

In his typical non-apologetic fashion, social activist and controversial online personality Charleston White took to social media to disrespect every street organization/gang known in the U.S.. The 52-year-old then went as far as cursing the names of fallen rappers who were associated with the aforementioned street gangs such as Nipsey Hussle, Drakeo The Ruler and King Von.

White, who is a former Crip from Texas, disassociated himself from the California-based gang when the family of the person he killed at age 14 forgave him for taking the life of their relative. In the above video, White holds up an assault rifle magazine while he declares, “Death to all Crips and Bloods. Death to all GDs and BDs. May they all die like King Von. May they al die like Drakeo The Ruler, May they all die like Nipsey Hussle.”
