DJ Premier Says a Collaboration With 50 Cent Fell Through Due to 50’s Deal With Dr. Dre & Eminem

DJ Premier Says a Collaboration With 50 Cent Fell Through Due to 50’s Deal With Dr. Dre & Eminem

Guess what? We could have had a 50 Cent and DJ Premier collaboration. During a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, DJ Premier revealed while he was on Terror Squad, he had a 50 Cent collaboration in the works for a compilation project, but it fell through due to Dr. Dre.

Right before the single could be created, Dre and Aftermath swooped in and signed 50, blocking him from making any more new music before his debut album hit.

Premier revealed the collaboration talks came after “How To Rob” was buzzing in the streets and 50 Cent was down to do the record, citing an instant connection.

“He said he would do the record, and right when it’s about time to do the record, we get a call that Fif can’t do it,” Premier said. “I’m like, ‘Why not?’ and they like he’s about to sign to Eminem and Dr. Dre.”

Premier said he spoke with Dre, who said it was all love. “I talked to Dre, and Dre was like, ‘Preem, I love you, but he’s not doing any more recording until he does his debut album.’”

What could have been… but it may not be too late. DJ Premier is still cranking out collaborations, as evident with his new release with Mass Appeal, Hip Hop 50 Vol. 1. We could only hope 50 Cent has the desire to hop back in the booth again.

You can hear the story and more from DJ Premier below.

Dr. Fauci Eyeing Retirement Before the End of Biden’s Term

Dr. Fauci Saved Christmas By Giving Vaccine to Santa Claus

Dr. Anthony Fauci is eyeing retirement. Dr. Fauci has served under multiple presidents and aims to finish in his role before the conclusion of President Joe Biden’s term as president.

According to Politico, Dr. Fauci’s retirement would end tenure of over five decades of federal service. Speaking with CNN, Fauci notes continuously being the subject of attacks from Republicans does not weigh in his decision to retire. Fauci has not noted a specific end date and has yet to initiate his retirement process.

“It has nothing to do with pressures, nothing to do with all of the other nonsense that you hear about, all the barbs, the slings and the arrows,” Fauci said. “That has no influence on me.”

Fauci’s decision comes as COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations are on the rise. An average of 130,000 new infections are reported each day and the average number of deaths is 350 per day.

The Centers for Disease Control are once again recommending masks are worn indoors to counter the rising spread of the virus.

SOURCE SPORTS: James Harden Tells 76ers to Build Team and Give Him "Whatever is Left" in New Contract

James Harden opted out of his player option earlier this offseason but was expected to remain with the Philadelphia 76ers. Now the superstar guard is telling the 76ers team president, Daryl Morey, he will take “whatever is left over” after improving the rest of the team.

“I had conversations with Daryl, and it was explained how we could get better and what the market value was for certain players. I told Daryl to improve the roster, sign who we needed to sign and give me whatever is left over,” Harden said, according to Yahoo Sports. “This is how bad I want to win. I want to compete for a championship. That’s all that matters to me at this stage. I’m willing to take less to put us in position to accomplish that.”

Harden joined the Sixers this past season after a rough road in Brooklyn. The team had a second-round exit at the hands of the Miami HEAT due to injuries to star center Joel Embiid and lackluster play from Harden. Harden passed up $47.3 million in his last season to get more for the Sixers team.

“If you look at our team now, we’re positioned to go a lot further,” Harden said. “I like how we stack up with the rest of the top teams.”

So far, the Sixers have added PJ Tucker, De’Anthony Melton, and Danuel House to the roster. Harden’s new contract is still yet to be signed.

SOURCE SPORTS: Manchester City and PUMA Reveal 2022/23 Away Kit

SS22 PUMA Football PR Manchester City Away Kit 16x9 0004

The Manchester City Away kit for 2022–23 was introduced by PUMA today. The new jersey honors a vintage City look from one of their most prosperous periods and honors the Club’s history of playing courageous football.

PUMA has updated a vintage design made popular by the Manchester City class of 1969 for the upcoming season’s away uniform. The renowned Malcolm Allison came up with the design for the uniform, which included red and black vertical stripes. The team won the 1969 FA Cup Final, the 1970 League Cup, and the European Cup Winner’s Cup Final, cementing their status as one of the fans’ all-time favorites.

On July 20, when Manchester City plays Club America as part of their preseason tour, the new away kit will make its debut. Members of the Manchester City team visited the NASA Space Center in Houston before the team’s match to commemorate the launch and the anniversary of the first lunar landing on July 20, 1969. The first red and black away kit for Manchester City was introduced on this day in 1969.

There are two variants of the new jersey. The Authentic jersey is the lightest and most comfortable item PUMA has ever produced thanks to its ULTRAWEAVE performance fabric and dryCELL sweat-wicking technology. The Replica version has dryCELL sweat-wicking technology and is made entirely of recycled polyester to keep you dry and comfortable for the full 90 minutes and beyond. As a start toward a brighter future, both jerseys are entirely constructed of recycled materials, omitting the trims and frills.

The 2022/23 Manchester City Away kit will be sold at PUMA stores, PUMA.com, the City store inside the Etihad Stadium Store, mancity.com/shop, and at select retailers around the world beginning on July 19 and on July 22, respectively.
