The Long Beach artist took to Twitter and Instagram today (June 2) to announce his debut album Give Or Take will arrive on June 24. His caption thanked fans for their patience as the demand for more music from him has been very high.

The 27-year-old baritone specialist quickly rose in popularity in early 2020 after Drake released their collaboration “Chicago Freestyle.” Despite some comparisons to another Drake collaborator, British singer Sampha, the “Heartbreak Anniversary” singer was quick to set himself apart with his first project, the Grammy-nominated eight-track EP Take Time which came on March 27th. Less than seven months later, Giveon delivered the four-song follow-up When It’s All Said And Done, which included a Snoh Aalegra collaboration on “Last Time,” a linkup they teased with an Instagram Story selfie a few months prior. In a new but likely soon-to-be common move, he combined the two EPs into one compilation When It’s All Said And Done… Take Time and added a new record, “All To Me.”
That’s not Sampha!! That’s me!! Spread the word!!

Leading into Give Or Take, Giveon has released singles “For Tonight” and “Lie Again.” He also appeared on Drake’s Certified Lover Boy and Justin Bieber’s Justice, specifically the Grammy-nominated “Peaches” which also featured Daniel Caesar.

Kevin Liles Tearfully Vouches For Young Thug In Court: “He’s Like A Son To Me”
Young Thug was among 28 individuals who were indicted on RICO charges, and each day, it feels like there’s a new development in the case. Thugger’s remained behind bars since he was arrested in early May but today, he returned to court for his bail hearing. As fans anticipate his potential release, 300 Ent. co-founder Kevin Liles took the stand to vouch for Thugger.

In a tearful clip circulating online, the prosecutor in the case explained that there would be a possibility of $1M in expenses for 24-hour security, if Thug was granted bond. Kevin Liles said that both he and Thug could afford that without any questions. Afterward, the prosecutor also asked if Liles was willing to take on responsibility for Thug’s release on bond, which would mean that he would personally be liable if the ATL rapper breaches any conditions. “The court could have you signed as a cosigner on that bond and you would actually have a lien against your wealth if Mr. Williams violate condition body. You still willing to do that?” The prosecutor asked.
“He’s like a son to me. Yes, without hesitation,” Liles replied.
He also denied that Thug would intimidate witnesses or harm his community if released. “This whole thing that people are talking about, that’s not him. The Jeffrey I know? The Jeffrey I know would give me the clothes off of his back. The Jeffrey I know? I can give him my kids, he could give me his kids. That’s the Jeffrey I know,” he said.
Liles also addressed the use of Thug’s lyrics against him in this trial. “I’ve been fighting this battle for over 40 years. It’s not new and it’s funny how we’re the #1 music in the world and they want to bring this back up,” he said. “‘Our music,’ we’ve been on trial, and we’re constantly on trial about who we are, what we are, why we are. Ain’t nobody ever gave us nothing…. We talkin’ bout lyrics. Lyrics? I don’t understand the thing. I’mma keep fighting for it because self-expression. I believe we should protect Black art. And I’m on trial for lyrics? C’mon man.”
Megan Thee Stallion Flexes Her Fashion Sense In Visual For “Plan B”
Megan Thee Stallion has been through the ringer over the last 18 months, however, that has not stopped her from marching on and delivering new music for her fans. During her most recent appearance at Coachella, Meg was able to bless her supporters with a new song called “Plan B.” About a month ago, this track was officially released to the public, and it turned out to be a huge success for Meg as her fans came out in droves to listen to it.
Meg has always been known for her visuals, so it should come as no surprise that she dropped a music video for this new song. As you can see above, the majority of the video is placed in front of a black screen where Meg comes out in this gorgeous black suit that transforms into some sort of lingerie. There are some nude moments throughout the video, however, Meg was able to cleverly cover up thanks to some of the camera angles throughout.
Overall, this was yet another dope visual for Meg who will certainly be out with a new project, in the near future.
Former Cowboys RB Marion Barber Found Dead At 38
Former Dallas Cowboys running back Marion “the Barbarian” Barber was found dead in his apartment in Frisco, Texas on Wednesday, according to Frisco Police. He was 38 years old.
“Marion was an old-school, hard-nosed football player who ran with the will to win every down. He had a passion for the game and love for his coaches and teammates. Our hearts go out to Marion’s family and friends during this difficult time,” the Cowboys said in a statement.
Barber was a six year veteran for the Cowboys from 2005-2011. He racked up over 4,000 yards and 59 touchdowns in his career, and made a trip to the Pro Bowl in the 2007-2008 season. His ability to break tackles and bully through defenses earned him the nickname “Marion the Barbarian.” He ended his career with a one year stint with the Chicago Bears.

The cause of death is currently unknown, but Frisco Police say they responded Wednesday to a welfare concern at an apartment believed to be leased by Barber.
“Frisco Police along with the Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating an unattended death at the location,” the department said in a statement.
Barber was drafted by Dallas in the fourth round in 2005 out of the University of Minnesota.
