Megan Thee Stallion Sang Katy Perry’s ‘Thinking Of You’ And It Might Lead To Them Collaborating On A Song

Megan Thee Stallion is never afraid to show off her fun side as we’ve seen multiple times in her career. She recently teamed up with Cardi B to display her football skills with some help from the Los Angeles Chargers, and prior to that, Megan and Normani had a grand ol’ time at prom for the former’s Off Thee Leash Snapchat series. Recently, Megan showed off her laid-back spirits during some time on Instagram Live as she was seemingly doing her hair and makeup. It was here that she launched into singing mode as she delivered a cover of Katy Perry’s “Thinking Of You.”

It was quite the entertaining moment as Megan was hilariously off-key as she cruised through the 2008 song’s chorus with a bottle of hairspray in hand as her microphone. Towards the end of the video, Megan noted that the song was one of her favorites as an eighth grader. A fan recorded the livestream moment and posted it on Twitter, and soon enough, Katy Perry herself caught wind of it and shared a response. “Omg lez duet ily Meg THEE katycat @theestallion [blowing a kiss emoji],” Perry wrote. Megan replied, “Omg yes hot girl Katy ! Let’s do a song [fire emojis].”

With that, it’s only a matter of time until Megan and Katy release a song, one that would be their first collaboration together.

You can view Megan’s cover of “Thinking Of You” and Katy’s response in the posts above.

Lizzo Admits To Angering Religious Relatives Due To Cussing, Nudity

All it takes is a few clicks of the internet to find photos of Lizzo, showing the singer putting her body on display. Like millions of other social media users, Lizzo uses her platforms not only to have fun with challenges but to show off her curves in all of their glory. The body acceptance icon has long talked about her full figure while denouncing those that often attack her in comment sections, and it seems it isn’t just strangers who have taken issue.

The “About Damn Time” hitmaker recently received her turn on Carpool Karaoke, and while she cruised around singing her favorite hits, Lizzo admitted that several members of her uber-religious family aren’t fans of all of her career choices.

“For the first ten years of my life, when we lived in Detroit, I was in The Church of God in Christ. When you have that faith, there’s like—it is strict with the kind of music you listen to. We didn’t listen to secular music, it was devil music,” the singer told host James Corden. He asked if she thought she would have been allowed to listen to her own music during that time.

“Early on Lizzo, yes…when Lizzo started cussing, no. I’ve pissed a few family members off.” However, it wasn’t just about the swear words. “I don’t know if it’s just that. It might be the ass, the nudity, a little bit. Like, my cousin Pookie gets mad at me all the time. He’ll call my mom and be like, ‘Hey, tell Melissa to put some clothes on.’”

“And then I double down and post more nudes the next day.” Watch more of Lizzo on Carpool Karaoke below as she talks about her career, playing the flute, and explains why Beyoncé is her “North Star.”

Lil Durk Would Do Another Album With Lil Baby, Explains How Drake Collab Came To Be

The OTF reign doesn’t seem to be letting up and Lil Durk is taking his and his teams’ careers to new heights. The Chicago star recently shared the deluxe version of his chart-topping record 7220, and by the sound of things, he has much more on the horizon. In anticipation of the updated release of his acclaimed album, Durkio recently chatted with Ebro Darden for Apple Music 1 ahead of his Apple Music Live performance in Los Angeles.

“I’m excited, I ain’t gonna lie… that stage setup’s so crazy,” he admitted. “It’s gonna be like an out-of-body experience. I feel that anything you put your name on, you should put your all into. My fans are special because they made me who I am. I relate to them, and I got day-one fans that know my whole story. So, it’s like your real-life family, trying to give something they never had before. I want them to leave with their energy.”

We already reported on Durk sharing that he’s working on music with Metro Boomin, and the rapper added that he is open to reuniting with Lil Baby on another joint project.

“We was vibing so crazy in the studio, we had to,” he said of working with his The Voice of the Heroes collaborator. “We was just in that zone. He who he is, he turned up and actually can rap. He ended up rapping his ass off, I’m changing my energy. Matter of fact, we both made each other start writing, too. He would come say something, and I was like, ‘Hold on.’ I’d say [something], he’d be, ‘Hold on.’ So, that’s like the energy you would want. You would want that energy. We got so many records that we ain’t put on there.”

Ebro wanted to know if they would be up for another record. Durk answered, “I would do another one. Sure.” Elsewhere, Durk also touched on how his “Laugh Now, Cry Later” collab with Drake came to be.

“He just DM’d me one day during COVID, ‘Man, oh, the album.’ I’m like, ‘You told me the last time.’ So I’m like, ‘Yeah, it’s cool. Let’s do it.’ Then he sent me snippets of songs. He says, ‘This how it’s going to go. I’ll put it together, give me ten minutes.’ I gave him eight bars, sent it back to him. The studio closed, we left. He like, ‘I need more of this, bro. I need more.’ I’m like, ‘It’s over. It’s over. The studio’s closed.’ So, I guess he just liked the eight bars. ‘Man, you can keep it like this.’ And we dropped that ****. Matter of fact, when we were shooting the video, I’m like, ‘Damn, this is it… It’s over.‘”

Chris Brown Reflects On Past Beef With Soulja Boy: “[He’s] A Character”

There was this strange time in Hip Hop history when Chris Brown and Soulja Boy were engaged in a pretty serious beef. Finding articles detailing the timeline of their verbal war isn’t difficult, and while it made for interesting takes while the culture was in the thick of their tension, everyone is happy to see that they were able to shake hands and walk away from the drama without issue. Brown revisited that puzzling, yet intense time in his career with Drink Champs, and by the sound of things, he was truly that heated back in the day.

During the conversation, Noreaga suggested that when people move to Los Angeles, they get themselves entangled in “hood politics,” however, Brown seemed to disagree. He believes that those situations are avoidable, but if that is what someone wants to be involved in, that’s their decision.

Noreaga added that it didn’t work out for Soulja Boy.

“I [have] to look at that situation as like, some funny, kiddy sh*t that n*ggas was going through, claiming the hood and honestly it just made the hood look bad,” said Brown. “Just even doing some weirdo, corny ass sh*t. That was some real light-skinned corny sh*t to be doin’… So, for me, I was just like, all that sh*t is dead. Ain’t nobody trippin’ off that sh*t.”

“It was just—Soulja is a character, man. Once you get to know him and know that it’s really all love, [it’s like,] ‘You straight.’ All that sh*t, I look back on that like, ‘Damn I really finna fire blood sh*t up. Nah, it ain’t even worth it. That sh*t stupid.’ But it’s cool, everything all good.”

Check out the clip of Brown’s interview below as well as his Drink Champs appearance in full.

Ne-Yo Weighs In On Recent “Verzuz”: Omarion Is A Performer, Mario Is A Singer

Out of all of the Verzuz shows that have gone down since the online inception of the series, there hasn’t been one talked about quite like that of its most recent R&B matchup. We’ve been steadily reporting on the ups and downs of the pre-show and main event that recently went down in Los Angeles with Ray J, Sammie, Bobby V, Pleasure P, Mario, and Omarion. There were takeaway moments that left viewers bewildered, verbal jabs that got a tad uncomfortable, and off-key singing that made for memes.

However, while chatting with The Cruz Show at the BET Awards Content Hub over the weekend, Ne-Yo discussed the Verzuz, and while he could see the humor of it all, he seemed disappointed in the execution.

“I was there. I was in the house, I was there,” he said, adding there was no way he was taking to the stage. “But the first part of the show, man, I just feel like that was an opportunity for it to be a real moment for R&B and cats kinda got in they feelings a little bit and turned in into something other than R&B. It was weird.”

“And then the main event, a performer versus a singer—I’m sorry, a performer versus a sanger—the performer’s always going to struggle, especially if you don’t sang your damn self, you know what I mean?” He clarified that he loves Omarion, but doubled down that in this particular Verzuz element, Mario had the better chops.

“Omarion got to use his whole body to get the same response that Mario can get with just his voice. That’s the difference.” Ne-Yo made sure to state once again that he has love for all of the Verzuz performers but insisted there was a clear winner.

Travis Barker Tweets “God Save Me” Amid Reports That He’s Been Hospitalized

When Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian’s names appear in the media, it’s usually about their PDA-filled relationship or their blended family antics, but this time around, things are more serious – the all-star drummer has been hospitalized.

According to TMZ,  the reality star and her beau took a trip to West Hills Hospital on Tuesday (June 28) morning due to an unknown health issue that Barker was facing.

The crew on sight felt as though the 46-year-old was in need of further attention, as they rushed him to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, with Kardashian following closely behind wearing an all-black outfit with her hood up, seemingly hoping to maintain some anonymity.

Around 10:45 AM, Barker sent out an ominous tweet – “God save me” – though he didn’t provide any sort of context or update on his condition. His daughter, Alabama Barker, is speaking out though, and has asked her social media followers to send prayers to her dad amid his battle.

It was just one month ago that the Blink-182 musician and the mother of three exchanged their vows in beautiful Portofino, Italy, with the whole family flying out and dressing up to the nines in Dolce & Gabbana for the opulent affair.

Since then, the couple has been open about their desire to expand their already large family with a baby of their own, though Kardashian hasn’t been having great luck with IVF and other treatments they’ve tried – read more about what the doctor suggested they try to spice up their bedroom life here, and tap back in with HNHH later for any updates on Travis Barker’s mysterious illness.
