Lizzo Couldn’t Help But Play A $55K Flute On The 2022 Met Gala Red Carpet

There is, at the moment, perhaps no flutist more famous (at least in mainstream music) than Lizzo. She’s happy to bust out the instrument any chance she gets and she found plenty of opportunity last night while walking the red carpet at this year’s Met Gala. As Lizzo entered the event, she periodically took a moment to bust out some notes for delighted onlookers.

As for her look, she broke it down a little bit in a quick Variety red carpet interview, revealing her coat took “22,000 hours” to make and that her flute of the day was rare and worth $55,000.

Vogue notes Lizzo’s Thom Browne-designed outfit featured “an ornate black cape detailed with golden vine embroidery” that was “worn over a black corseted dress with a skirt held together by garters.” Meanwhile, Classic FM reports the flute is called The Dryad’s Touch and is made out of 18 karat green gold. They also note that Lizzo was playing the opening lines of French composer Claude Debussy’s Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune.

Lizzo also shared some posts from the event, including a video of her playing the flute, which she captioned, “Y’all I was gonna play Debussy but I got nervous.”

Check out Lizzo’s posts below.

Lizzo is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Supreme x Nike Air Zoom Flight 95 Pack Revealed: Release Details

Supreme and Nike have created some pretty unique and interesting collaborations over the years. They always choose unique silhouettes, and in 2022, they are keeping up that trend. This year, Supreme and Nike have chosen the Air Zoom Flight 95 which is a basketball shoe of sorts. It has a chunky aesthetic to it, and it is most definitely a fan-favorite that fits the Supreme aesthetic quite well.

As you can see down below, this shoe will be dropping in three different colorways. For instance, there is a black version, a nude model, and even a light blue offering. What is cool about these is the fact that the shoe is covered in paisley graphics. Supreme has used this aesthetic in the past, and it’s clear that Paisley looks good on this silhouette, in particular.

If you are looking to get a hold of these, you will be able to do so as of Thursday, May 5th for a price that has yet to be determined. The shoes will be available over at supremenewyork.com. Tom Brady Shows Off Chiseled Physique On Set Of New Movie

Tom Brady is about to turn 45 and he is still going strong in the NFL. He is about to enter his third season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and there is no doubt that he will be eager to build off of last season which ended in pretty disappointing fashion. At this point, everyone knows that Brady is one of the best quarterbacks in the league, and with a ton of weapons at his disposal, the Bucs should be prime contenders to take home the Super Bowl.

In the meantime, Brady has been enjoying his offseason where he is set to take part in the film 80 For Brady. This new movie will feature a cameo from Brady, and recently, he took to Instagram with a photo of himself from the set.

As you can see down below, Brady is looking pretty swole and chiseled in this picture. The quarterback is flexing his guns, and for a 44-year-old, he is looking pretty good. He even wants to give The Rock a run for his money, although we’re sure that is going to be a difficult proposition.

“The exact moment Tom Brady “went Hollywoood” on the 80 For Brady set,” Brady said. “PS @therock I’m free until August if you need help with any stunts in the meantime.”

If this is the physique Brady is bringing to the NFL this year, then other teams better watch out. It could be a long season for the NFC South.

Kylie Jenner Honors Virgil Abloh With Met Gala Outfit

Kylie Jenner honored the late fashion designer Virgil Abloh with her outfit for the 2022 Met Gala at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday night. The getup, designed by Virgil’s Off-White brand, featured a white bridal look with the word “Off” draped across her chest.

According to a press release, Jenner was inspired by Abloh’s final couture gown designed for Off-White’s Fall Winter 2022 Runway Show during Paris Fashion Week in February.

Jenner shared pictures of the outfit on Instagram afterward, revealing that she was planning to attend the Gala with Abloh before it was postponed in 2020.

“Virgil and i were supposed to go to the Met together before it got postponed in 2020,” she captioned the series of photos. “To celebrate V tonight and his incredible legacy truly means the world to me. i’m humbled to wear this dress and honor my talented beautiful friend. we felt you tonight Virgil and love you forever & thank u to the entire @off____white team !!”

Abloh passed away back in November at the age of 41 after a private battle with cancer. In addition to founding Off-White, Abloh also served as the artistic director of Louis Vuitton.

Off-White recently announced that Ibrahim Kamara will be taking over as the Art and Image Director for the brand, in the wake of Abloh’s passing. In a statement announcing the brand’s decision, Off-White CEO Andrea Grilli noted Kamara’s “strong and personal connection with Virgil.”

Ja Morant Claps Back At Haters Who Go After He And His Dad

Ja Morant and his dad have been wildly entertaining throughout the first few weeks of the NBA playoffs. Morant’s father Tee has been a fixture at his games over the years, and as Ja has stated on multiple occasions, Tee is perhaps his biggest hater. Tee wants the best for Ja, and we he plays badly, he makes sure his son knows about it.

In the opening round against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Tee was very vocal, especially while spending time next to Karl-Anthony Towns’ dad. With that being said, Tee became a fixture of the first-round and with the Grizzlies taking on the Golden State Warriors, he is only going to get more prominent.

Having said that, some fans have not taken kindly to Tee and Ja’s antics. Ja has been super vocal on social media, and when combined with his dad’s media comments, there are some who just don’t like them at all, and it has led to a hate brigade of sorts.

Recently, a fan took to social media, explaining how it is extremely corny for fans to hate on Ja and Tee. As you can see below, the fan believes Ja and Tee are simply enjoying the game and being a great father and son duo. Ja clearly agrees as he quote tweeted the man, saying “f* em we ball.”

The Grizzlies are currently down 1-0 to the Warriors and if they want any shot at coming back, Ja will have to be at his best. If they do win the series, Ja and Tee will have all the more reason to be vocal.

Justin Bieber has announced the final North American date of his sold-out Justice World Tour, which will be held on July 3rd at the KIA Forum in Los Angeles. Ticketmaster will begin selling tickets for the Forum event on July 3rd at 10 a.m. PT on Friday, May 6th.

Justin linked up with director Cole Bennett for his new song +video “Honest,” which features Don Toliver, which was released last week. “Honest” is Justin’s first official single since “Ghost,” the anthemic conclusion to the multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated Justice, hit #1 at pop radio in January, giving him the most #1 hits by a male solo artist in US radio history and making him the only fifth artist to reach twenty Top 5 hits on the Billboard Hot 100. Justin’s eighth professional Hot 100 #1 single, “Stay” with Kid Laroi, made him the youngest solo artist ever to surpass 100 Hot 100 hits. Justin became the first male solo artist to start at #1 on both the Billboard 200 album chart and the Billboard Hot 100 singles list with his triple-platinum blockbuster “Peaches.”

The Justice World Tour kicks off in Mexico this month, then heads to Scandinavia for festival appearances in August; South America, South Africa, and the Middle East in September and October; and Australia and New Zealand in November and December, before heading to the United Kingdom and Europe in early 2023.

Justin’s Justice World Tour, presented by AEG Presents, is his first international tour since the ‘Purpose World Tour’ in 2016/2017. Bieber played to 2.7 million fans during the duration of his 2016-2017 tour, with 65,000 spectators attending the finale at London’s British Summer Time Hyde Park festival, according to The Times of London.
