Stephen A. Smith Had JJ Redick Dumbfounded After LeBron Hot Take

Stephen A. Smith is a man who is very well known for his hot takes. He is always coming up with some truly wild takes, and sometimes, he gets his co-hosts and the viewers all riled up. Of course, there are times where Smith is a lot more agreeable, although today, he certainly offered up one of his worst takes to date.

The Los Angeles Lakers are currently using Phil Jackson as an advisor for the team’s head coaching search. Smith believes Jackson is not the man for this job as he already messed up the New York Knicks just a few short years ago. This opinion is a fairly luke warm one as most people agree that Jackson is beyond his prime. However, it is what he said afterwards that was just ridiculous.

As you can see in the clip below, Smith suggests that the Lakers need to consider trading LeBron James. This was definitely an eye-opening take, and JJ Redick was completely flabbergasted by it. The former NBA player turned analyst couldn’t help but close his eyes and sigh as Smith pled his case. It was one of those moments that showcases how Smith is a lot more of an entertainer than he is an analyst or even a journalist.

Either way, it is pretty obvious at this point that the Lakers will not be trading LeBron anytime soon. He is too valuable to the franchise and the team will immediately fade into obscurity without him.

Let us know what you think of Smith’s hot take, in the comments down below.

A$AP Rocky Shares Teaser Video For “D.M.B.” Dropping Thursday

A$AP Rocky has shared a teaser for new music being released on Thursday, titled “D.M.G.” The highly-anticipated work is being billed as an AWGE picture starring A$AP Rocky.

In the new teaser, Rocky and Rihanna can be seen hanging out on a fire escape, presumably in New York, and getting accosted by the paparazzi. The couple was spotted filming a video in New York back in July 2021.

Rocky first announced the new music in a since-deleted Instagram post on Tuesday which revealed that Skepta, Hector Delgado, Krash, Nort Ollem, Shlohmo, and D33J all provided additional production for Rocky’s latest work. While Rihanna is featured in the teaser and on the artwork, it’s unclear whether she will be featured on the new song.

Regardless of whether Rihanna is featured, Rocky remarked during an interview with GQ last year that she has “absolutely” influenced his upcoming music.

“I think it’s important to have somebody that you can bounce those creative juices and ideas off of,” he said at the time. “It’s just a different point of view.”

Rocky recently played two new records during his set at the Smoker’s Club Festival, last weekend, in San Bernardino, California. One of the tracks included a feature from Playboi Carti, who also performed at the festival.

Rocky’s last full-length album, Testing, was released back in 2018. Fans are hoping the new music will be a sign that his long-awaited follow-up, ALL $MILES, is not far off.

Chris Rock Makes Will Smith Joke After Dave Chappelle Attacked Onstage

Chris Rock found himself back in the spotlight after a man attacked Dave Chappelle during his comedy set.

Chappelle was performing during the Netflix Is A Joke Fest at the Hollywood Bowl in L.A. on Tuesday night (May 3) when a man seated in the audience rushed on stage and tackled the comedian.

Moments after the incident, Rock briefly appeared onstage and made reference to his own experience at the Oscars when Will Smith walked on stage and slapped him in the face after he made a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith.

“Was that Will Smith?” asked Rock.

Security guards chased and overpowered the attacker, later identified as Isaiah Lee. The 23-year-old man was armed with a replica handgun that contained a knife blade, the LAPD told CBS Los Angeles. He was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and taken to a local hospital with “superficial injuries” for treatment. His bail was set at $30,000.

Chappelle, who was not injured, returned to the stage in the wake of the incident. “I grabbed the back of that ni**a’s head, his hair was spongy, absorbent,” he said while describing his attacker. “I’ve been doing this 35 years. I just stomped a ni**a backstage. Always wanted to do that.”

Busta Rhymes and Jamie Foxx also reportedly stepped in to defend Dave amid the melee. “Ni**a, I thought that was part of the show,” Foxx said before praising Chappelle as an “absolute genius.” “We gotta make sure we protect him at all times.”

Yo Gotti has announced the comeback of his annual “Yo Gotti & Friends Birthday Bash” performance in Memphis. On Friday, July 15, 2022, at FedEx Forum in Memphis, TN, the CMG mogul is assembling an all-star ensemble of friends and partners to perform at the 8th edition of the event.

“Birthday Bash is back and it’s going to be better than ever,” Yo Gotti said. “I have a few surprises and special performances for my hometown family, but just know that I’m gonna keep putting on for the city that raised me. The energy at FedEx Forum will be unforgettable and fans won’t want to miss it.”

Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Meek Mill, Rick Ross, T.I., City Girls, Jeezy, Monica, Gucci Mane, Polo G, Boosie Badazz, Master P, NLE Choppa, and others have all performed at the star-studded event in prior years.

Members of Gotti’s legendary CMG record label, including Moneybagg Yo, 42 Dugg, Blac Youngsta, and Big Boogie, performed at the most recent Birthday Bash in 2019. Gotti has grown the CMG empire since then, signing EST Gee, Mozzy, Lil Poppa, 10%, and, most recently, R&B artist Lehla Samia on May 1.

The annual tradition began in 2013, and as Gotti’s popularity grew – and he was able to acquire some of the biggest names in music to play at Birthday Bash – he finally took the show to new heights and to the FedEx Forum, home of the Memphis Grizzlies, in 2017.

Gotti’s 11th studio album, CM10: Free Game, was released earlier this year and opened at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, making it Gotti’s highest-charting album in his illustrious career. It was his first album since January 2020, and it had songs like “Cold Gangsta,” “Ya Bih,” “Dolla Fo’ Dolla,” and others.
