Netflix Developing Comedy Series Inspired By Megan Thee Stallion’s Life

Megan Thee Stallion is teaming up with Netflix for a new comedy series that is loosely based on the rapper’s life. Megan had signed a first-look deal with the streaming giant, back in December, to create and executive produce her own shows.

Netflix’s head of comedy, Tracey Pakosta, announced the series in an interview with Deadline, earlier this week.

“It’s very early stages. She came in and she pitched something loosely based on her life growing up, and we got very excited about it,” Pakosta said. “We think she’s special.”

Pakosta didn’t provide any further details on the show.

When Megan first inked the deal with Netflix, Pakosta remarked: “Megan is a multi-talented creative force who has consistently made her mark on culture. She’s always growing and evolving as an artist, and we’re thrilled that she’s making a home at Netflix for this next chapter in her journey.”

“I’ve always had a passion for telling creative and entertaining stories, so I’m thrilled about this partnership with Netflix,” Meg added at the time. “Venturing into production is the next step in my journey as an entrepreneur and I can’t wait to bring all my ideas to life and for my Hotties to watch.”

Pakosta’s new interview came ahead of the streaming service’s Netflix Is A Joke: The Festival at the Hollywood Bowl

Pusha T Downplays Eminem Beef Rumors: “Em Is Somebody That I Respect”

Pusha T says that there is no beef between himself and Eminem after fans misinterpreted lyrics from his new album, It’s Almost Dry. Push downplayed rumors that he dissed the legendary rapper during a new interview on The Morning Hustle.

When asked which rappers he could’ve “killed lyrically,” had there ever been a battle between them, he refused to answer.

“I can’t. Listen, I don’t even want to put the energy out there,” he told the hosts.

As for who he’d refuse to ever beef with, he explained: “I saw just recently on Twitter people saying myself and Eminem. I’m like, bro! It was a misinterpretation of something I don’t even remember. Something I said or whatever. But you know, people decode, and they have their own thing.”

“And I was like, ‘Nah, man! Em is somebody that I respect,” he continued. “He’s one of them people that I really like what he does because, after all of his success, I can still find Lyricist Lounge Eminem. That’s a goal for me, personally.”

Eminem wasn’t the only rapper Push refused to the diss on It’s Almost Dry. He also recently explained why he didn’t include any shots at Drake on the project, saying that the beef “was such a dated thing to me.”

“I’ma be honest with you… Listen, you know I be centred around drama… Whether it be the Drake stuff or whatever, it’s whatever with me,” Push told Power 106 Los Angeles, earlier this week. “Like, I don’t run from it, I don’t hide from it. Whatever. I specifically didn’t put that energy on this album, because it’s like, the album was going so good and that was such a dated thing to me. That was 2018!”

The dinner is being hosted by Trevor Noah. James Corden and Billy Eichner will also be featured during the event.

Keeping with the comedic theme, producer Bob Bain recently told Variety, “It is the nerd prom, but what you’ve heard after the fact a lot of the time is ‘This was the most boring dinner I’ve ever been to.’ We’re trying to eliminate that comment.”

Last Sunday, Davidson and Kardashian attended the 2022 Mark Twain Prize for American Humor ceremony, which was their first public appearance since they began dating, last year.

Appearing on The Ellen Show recently, Kardashian remarked that she hopes to hold onto the happiness she gets from Davidson “forever.”

“I think it’s just in life, no matter what it is. I encourage my friends and the people that I love to be happy and I went for it. I was like, you know what, I’m in my 40s, fuck it,” she explained at the time. “Just go for it, find your happiness. I went for it and I took my time and I found it and it feels so good and I wanna hold onto that forever.”

The idea for the video came from people at the school who wanted to plan something special for Carollo’s birthday. He would have turned 50 years old on Friday.

To bring it to fruition, teacher Linda Acevado launched a petition online to get Malone’s attention in order to request a video message. According to TMZ, Acevado broke down in tears while showing Malone’s message to the students.

Redman Says He Wants The National Cannabis Party To Challenge Republicans & Democrats

Redman says that the National Cannabis Party could one day “put someone in the president’s chair.” The legendary rapper launched the political party with his sister, Sephida Artis-Mills, in 2021 to address legal regulations of cannabis and educate the masses.

Redman discussed the NCP during a new interview with HipHopDX, published on Saturday. He emphasized his desire to do more than just sell cannabis products, and that inspired him to launch the party.

“The reason why you never seen a Redman product, a Redman vape pen, a Redman strain, anything, because I’ve been holding my brand for the bigger purpose, which is NCP, the National Cannabis Party,” Redman tells HipHopDX. “And what we are doing is, we are about giving the plant back to the people. We are about the structure of this cannabis industry. We are about education for our people. Don’t matter who it is, black, white, or green. If you an alien and you need education, we are about having the right platform to deliver that to you.”

He added: “So, we’re very clear here, there’s the Republican Party, there’s the Democratic Party, and there’s the first of its kind ever in history, the National Cannabis Party, meaning I could put someone in the president’s chair.”

Artis-Mills serves as the president of the organization.

Later in the piece, Redman jokes about whether or not he would consider running the office.

“I’m running for president in four years [laughs], but honestly, no, I wouldn’t want to take that job and be in office,” Redman said. “Like I said, I’m in the business of helping people. I love to help people and I want to be behind the gun. We want to be the ones quietly pushing the buttons and put someone in the seat that deserves it. We want to put a president in a seat that has smoked cannabis.”

He continues, “We need a president that has smoked. We need a president that has indulged before. We need a president that’s transparent about themself. We need to put them in the seat, so they can understand what’s really needed with this cannabis industry.”

The grassroots organization has already put forth a bill to address the regulation of cannabis in New York.

Scottie Pippen Says He Never Won DPOY Because Media Was “Too Busy Watching Michael”

Legendary NBA player Scottie Pippen says that he was never able to win the Defensive Player of the Year award because the media was too busy watching his teammate, Michael Jordan. Pippen made the claim during a new interview with Bastien Fontanieu for Trash Talk.

“I think they were too busy watching Michael [Jordan],” Pippen explained when asked why he, a Hall of Famer widely considered one of the best defenders of all time, was never given the award.

Later, Pippen shared defensive tips for young guys in the league looking to improve on that side of the game.

“I would always lean on the wall for three to five minutes, put myself in a defensive stance, I sort of adapted wanting to be in that stance when I’m out on that basketball court,” Pippen said. “When I was a young kid, my coach used to tell me that I stood up too much, so I had to learn to play lower.”

Pippen averaged 2.0 steals and 0.8 blocks throughout his career. His teammates, Dennis Rodman and Michael Jordan, both won the award at separate points during their careers.

Last year, Pippen labeled Jordan’s decision to retire and play professional baseball a “selfish” one during an interview on the Dan Patrick Show.

“Yeah It was a big decision, but It was a selfish decision, but it was kind of who Michael Jordan was,” Pippen said at the time. “That was a guy who believed he can do anything on his own.”
