Kid Cudi And Jack Harlow Want To Get Slimed When They Perform At The 2022 Kids’ Choice Awards

Kid Cudi and Jack Harlow both have nominations at this weekend’s Grammy Awards and it turns out they’ll both be busy next weekend, too: Billboard reports they’re going to perform at Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards (hosted by Miranda Cosgrove and Rob Gronkowski) next Saturday, April 9.

Billboard notes Cudi will perform a medley of his new Sonic The Hedgehog 2 single “Stars In The Sky” and his 2010 classic “Pursuit Of Happiness.”

Cudi said in a statement, “I can’t believe my late 30-something butt gets to party at the Kids’ Choice Awards! I grew up loving Nickelodeon and it’s been a dream of mine to get slimed.” Harlow offered a similar statement, saying, “I grew up on Nickelodeon so to be nominated AND perform at the Kids’ Choice Awards is crazy. Here’s to hoping I get slimed!”

Harlow has a nomination at this year’s ceremony, as he’s up for Favorite Breakout Artist against Chlöe, Glass Animals, Olivia Rodrigo, Saweetie, and Walker Hayes. As for who leads the music nominations, Taylor Swift and Adele each have four nods in various categories. This year’s first-time music nominees include Rodrigo, Saweetie, The Kid Laroi, and Doja Cat.

These Photos From New Orleans’ Buku Music + Art Project Will Give You Some Serious Festival Fever

If there’s one thing that people love about the city of New Orleans, it’s the unique and eccentric culture – from the music to art to food and beyond. So what better place than NOLA to hold a festival like BUKU Music + Art Project: the perfect spring break stop for lovers of hip-hop and electronic music.

BUKU (celebrating twn years!) returned to New Orleans this past weekend after being postponed for two years due to the pandemic. This year’s music acts included Uproxx favorites like Tyler The Creator (who absolutely crushed it), Tame Impala, and Baby Keem. Also on the bill were a range of popular DJs like Rezz and Alison Wonderland, as well as amazing local talent like rapper Stone Cold Jizze and group GLBL WRMNG.

BUKU prides itself on a “festival experience that proudly reflects the progressive, artistic, and diverse subculture of New Orleans.” Beyond the music, there were art installations throughout the grounds, pop-up breakdancing and dance krewes, live graffiti art, and more.

All the action took place on the banks of the Mississippi River in New Orleans’ Lower Garden District and was aided by perfect 75-degree sunny weather. Shoutout to the festival gods for looking out. Check out photos and videos of the festival below.

Rihanna Showed Off Her Oscars Look With Another Glam Baby Bump Photo Shoot: ‘Me And My Date’

When it comes to pregnant Rihanna, the world cannot get enough. Ever since the pop star announced she is pregnant with her first child with rapper ASAP Rocky, the world has been clamoring for more baby bump content. So much so, that a fake Rihanna paraded around Brazil, baby bump and all, and even fooled a few fans in the process.

Well, the real Rihanna was ready to bring it on the night of the Oscars, and though she mostly stayed away from the drama at the ceremony between Will Smith and Chris Rock, her look for one of the many parties later that night was definitely a head-turning moment. Dressed in all black, her sheer gown perfectly highlighted the singer’s growing belly, and a black bandeau top kept some of her other assets from being revealed in the meantime.

Paired with a sequined black skirt and massive, elbow-length black gloves, the look was both entirely classic and absolutely modern, which is the exact balance that most of Rihanna’s looks seem to strike.

“Me and my date for Oscar Gold Party #bump22,” she wrote, while also sharing another shot of the gown’s ultra long train.

The Oscar Gold party was blessed to have Rihanna, and her child, in attendance — one bright moment on what seems to be an otherwise cursed night.

Doja Cat Again Insists She’s Quitting Music Once She’s Done With Her Current Obligations

At the moment, it really looks like Doja Cat is getting ready to leave the music world behind. After receiving criticism from fans in Paraguay for not mentioning the country enough while she was there, Doja declared on Twitter, “i f*ckin quit i can’t wait to f*cking disappear and i don’t need you to believe in me anymore. Everything is dead to me, music is dead, and i’m a f*cking fool for ever thinking i was made for this this is a f*cking nightmare.”

She’s said a few more things since then and in her latest dispatch from today, she explained that while she will be sticking around a bit longer, it’s only to honor her current obligations. Once that’s over with, she does indeed plan on leaving music behind.

This afternoon, Doja wrote in a pair of tweets, “for those who are seeing me at the after hours tour, i’m not bailing. But me not bailing doesn’t mean my ass isn’t gonna disappear right after. i still got sh*t i gotta do. and a lot of y’all think cuz i post a f*ckin picture it means i’m not out. Pic doesn’t = music GOOFY. so yes that still means i got videos to film i got performances to do and I got content to drop so i’m pooping it out and dippin. i ain’t gone yet.” She also added, “piggy dippin.”

So, unless this is whole saga is an elaborate set-up for an April Fools’ Day reveal tomorrow, fans may only have a limited amount of time remaining to enjoy Doja’s music career.

Ella Mai Drops New Single “Leave You Alone,” Announces Upcoming Album

Ella Mai returns to music once again with her new single “Leave You Alone” from her upcoming sophomore album.

A few days ago, the “Trip” singer announced via Instagram that her sophomore album, Heart On Your Sleeve was on its way, nearly four years after the release of her self-titled debut album.

On Wednesday, she posted once again announcing that the album was now available for pre-save, with a new track “Leave You Alone,” dropping at midnight.

In “Leave You Alone,” Mai is going through the motions of a situationship she’s in, even though she knows it’s no good for her. She expresses in the song that the situation is beginning to make her crazy, realizing she’s acting like “a fool in love.”

The overall essence of the song fits perfectly into Mai’s catalog, reminiscent of her popular hit “Boo’d Up.”

Mai’s new album should be nothing short of great, as she’s already been dubbed “the GOAT” by DJ Mustard himself.

“I refer to her as ‘The GOAT,'” DJ Mustard said in a 2018 interview with Billboard. “People have yet to see what she can do and how talented she is. I think with me and her working closely together like we do and with her being signed to me, that’s like my prodigy.”

Mai was originally brought to fame after being discovered on Instagram. She was then signed to DJ Mustard’s label, 10 Summers Records and Interscope Records.

Check out the new song below.

Quotable Lyrics

If this is bad for me
I probably shouldn’t stay
Don’t ever let me go
I just wanna feel ya
Nice and slow
I’m caught up in the moment
Does it show?
