Eddie Murphy Will Get Funked Up As George Clinton In A Biopic About The Parliament-Funkadelic Leader
After starring as the “Godfather of Rap” in My Name is Dolemite, Eddie Murphy will portray another legendary “godfather” in an upcoming biopic.
Deadline reports that the Coming to America actor is in “early talks” to play George Clinton, the “Godfather of Funk” who has led the Parliament-Funkadelic collective since the late 1960s. The passion-project film “will tell the story of the iconic musician’s humble beginnings in North Carolina in the 1940s, to the formation of his groundbreaking band George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic, and ultimately to becoming a musical influence on artists of the hip-hop generation including Tupac Shakur, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Outkast, and Wu-Tang Clan, among many others.”
“Give Up the Funk (Tear the Roof Off the Sucker),” “One Nation Under a Groove,” and “Flash Light” are the songs you hear on the radio, but be sure to take a deeper dive into the Parliament and Funkadelic discographies, as well as Clinton’s solo material. Not only for the funky grooves, but also the song titles. I, for one, can’t wait to hear Eddie Murphy sing “Free Your Mind and Your Ass Will Follow,” “Standing on the Verge of Getting It On,” and my personal favorite, “Do Fries Go with That Shake?”

Lil Durk And Future Treat Their Lady Friends To A Designer Shopping Spree In The ‘Petty Too’ Video
Lil Durk isn’t done with 7220 yet. After the album helped the Chicago rapper secure his first solo No. 1 album, he returns with the video for the album’s standout track, “Petty Too” featuring Future. The standout track was also the centerpiece of Lil Durk’s performance on The Tonight Show shortly after the album’s release, with Durk bringing out Future to perform alongside him to the live audience’s delight.
Like all of Durk’s videos this cycle, it’s directed by Jerry Productions and features a stripped-down concept, with Durk and Future rapping on a rooftop and treating some lady friends to a private shopping spree. As the women peruse a pair of clothing racks, Durk and Future declare their petty ways and spit boastful rhymes about their disdain for romance.
In addition to “Petty Too,” Durk has put out videos for the menacing “Ahhh Ha,” the chest-beating “Golden Child,” and the sneering “Computer Murders.” The videos helped push 7220 to No. 1, and helped Durk secure an extension on his record deal reportedly worth $40 million, something he was quick to brag about on social media. Next month, you can catch Durk on tour beginning April 9 and running through May 2.

Anthony Davis’ Gets Some Good News As Lakers Continue To Fall
Anthony Davis is easily one of the most injury-prone players in the entire NBA. Ever since his career began with the New Orleans Pelicans, he has been dealing with issues concerning his health, and with the Los Angeles Lakers, his problems have been a lot worse. This year, he has been out for two large chunks of the season, and with the Lakers needing a playoff push, Davis’ situation has not been helping matters very much.
AD has been out of the Lakers lineup ever since February 16th, and as it stands, even LeBron James can’t play due to an ankle issue. However, there has been some good news as AD has been working out with the team, and seems closer to a return than some might think.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, both LeBron and Davis will be out against the Utah Jazz tonight. However, there is a very good chance that AD is a game-time decision against the Pelicans on Friday. LeBron’s status is about the same, which means the Lakers could have all three of their stars in the lineup for the last six games of the season. Considering where they are in the standings, this news couldn’t have come at a better time.
This remains a developing story, so stay tuned to HNHH as we will be sure to bring you all of the latest news and updates from around the NBA world.
Rick Ross Says He Wants to Climb Mount Kilimanjaro
Rick Ross has accomplished a lot in his career, but there’s still one lofty goal he wants to check off his bucket list.
During his appearance on the “Full Send Podcast,” the Maybach Music mogul revealed that he wants to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania two years from now.
“I actually gave myself a challenge… In 2024, I’ma hike to the top of Kilimanjaro,” he announced for the first time.
While he admits that he hasn’t done his research, he’s made a commitment to himself. “Of course not. I’m the boss, I don’t look at nothing,” he said when asked if he’s fully looked into it. “I make my mind up, it’s not really that big.”
He plans to take the next year to prepare mentally and in 2023, he will undergo physical training.
Rozay won’t be alone either when he makes the journey. “Somebody gotta bring the Wingstop,” he joked.
Kilimanjaro is the highest volcano in Africa and the Eastern Hemisphere at over 19,000 feet. Around 30,000 people attempt to climb the mountain annually and there are any average of 10 fatalities per year.
The “Hustlin’” rapper, who released his latest album Richer Than I Ever Been in December, has “a lot more” he wants to accomplish. “When you wanna be great, you wanna be great. It’s really not a ceiling,” he said.

It’s been three years since the world lost Nipsey Hussle.
On the anniversary of his death on Thursday (March 31), Lauren London is once again honoring the love of her life. Taking to Instagram, the actress shared a touching tribute to the late great rapper and father of her son.
“Loving You Here There Then Now Forever and After,” London wrote alongside a photo of a smiling Nipsey.
“Long Live The King Ermias Asghedom Hussle Man,” she added, referencing Nipsey’s real name.
She received messages of support from friends including Kehlani, La La, Angie Martinez, T.I., and YG, who commented, “love sis.”
The couple began dating in 2013 after meeting on social media. In 2016, they welcomed their son Kross Ermias, who turned five in August. In honor of his birthday, London shared a new photo of “Baby Hussle,” who bears a striking resemblance to his father.
In a 2020 interview with Jada Pinkett Smith on “Red Table Talk,” London revealed how she’s been coping with her grief since Nipsey was fatally shot outside his Marathon Clothing store on March 31, 2019.
“I don’t always wake up on the enlightened side of the bed and the days that I don’t, I let myself ’cause I’m human,” she said. “I let myself be human and I’m gentle with myself, and I find things that matter and so I try to live with a purpose.”
Fans and friends including The Game also shared tributes to the Crenshaw legend, who would have been 36.
