Someone Put A Fake Version Of Kanye West’s ‘Donda 2’ On iTunes, Fooling Enough People To Chart
Whether you think Kanye West’s decision to make access to his new album Donda 2 exclusive to his stem player is a genius idea or a massive grift, it looks like someone out there has found a way to (temporarily) capitalize on it with a scam of their own. A fake version of Donda 2 is reportedly charting on iTunes after being uploaded under the misleading — but not that misleading — name “Wanye Kest,” according to Complex.
The facts that the name is obviously wrong, the tracklist is too short, and that Kanye vowed not to release his album to DSPs haven’t deterred fans from streaming the fake album; according to Complex, Donda 2 by Wanye Kest has reached No. 40 on the Top Hip-Hop Albums chart.
Donda 2 by WANYE WEST is #43 on iTunes HipHop albums chart!

Incidentally, this isn’t the first time someone uploaded a fake album purported to be a highly anticipated one from a big-name superstar to Apple Music. In 2018, fake albums made up of leaked material supposedly from Beyonce and SZA popped up, while in 2019, even Rihanna had to react after an “unofficial” version of her ninth album found its way online. Meanwhile, in 2020, Mario Judah used the hype around Playboi Carti’s forthcoming album Whole Lotta Red to release his own version and hijack some of its buzz — at least until Carti actually dropped his album.
All those fake albums — save for Mario Judah’s, because it actually had his name on it — were eventually taken down, so unfortunately for Wanye Kest, their ill-gotten gains likely won’t last. For now, the only way to get Donda 2 for real remains shelling out $200 for a stem player — or using the slightly shadier method some of his fans cooked up to avoid such a fee.

J. Prince Rips Houston Bounty Hunters After Killing Of Walter Hutchins
Houston’s J. Prince, the founder of Rap-A-Lot Records, slammed the four bounty hunters responsible for the killing of 31-year-old Walter Hutchins, who was gunned down, last Wednesday. The men who shot Hutchins had originally told Houston police that the victim opened fire on them first; however, that was refuted by surveillance video obtained by ABC13.
In a post on Instagram, Prince reveals he was a cousin of Hutchins.

“These are bounty hunters ambushing my family Walter down last night as he was leaving a place of business,” Prince wrote. “You motherfuckers better be lucky I wasn’t there because y’all look like robbers and jackers to me. As you can see this looks like a hit, you should never run up on a person like this in plain clothes and no police cars at night.
He continued: “Y’all never gave him a chance to know who you were without gunning him down first. We won’t allow y’all to get away with this one by changing the narrative or justify killing a man because he has a warrant for his arrest.”
Houston police are currently investigating the incident.

Skip Bayless Pays A Visit To Lil Wayne
Skip Bayless and Lil Wayne have formed a unique friendship, with the latter being an ever-devout sports fan, while the former is a sports talk show host. In fact, Wayne has even used chats with Skip in the past as an opportunity to tease new music, tying their two worlds together even closer.
While it’s unclear at this time if their recent visit together is for an Undisputed segment, it is clear that Skip considers Wayne a close friend after sharing three different photos with the rapper.
Taking to his Instagram, Skip revealed that he and his wife paid a visit to “our friend Lil Wayne.”
He continued in the caption, “Great time, lotta laughs, talking sports, music and life. Ernestine took this and didn’t quite get the LeBrons I was wearing just for Laker fanatic Wayne. (OK, I was being a little sarcastic since his squad is five under .500).”
In two separate photos to follow up the first, he elaborated further on their link-up and praised his wife for her ability to talk sports with the best of them, as well as Wayne’s man, Scooby.
He started, “Here’s another shot of our visit to Lil Wayne’s, this one including his man Scoob, who knows his sports at least as well as he knows his music. If only this convo could’ve been taped. On second thought…” He trailed off, before sharing one final photos, this of his wife Ernestine and Wayne looking as friendly as ever, laughing, with the caption, “Here’s Ernestine sharing a laugh with Wayne and Scoob. Coolest thing about her is she has no problem being “one of the guys” … at least for couple of hours. She can talk sports with the best of ‘em – though she’d rather talk music or movies.”

Soulja Boy Praises Kanye West For Pushing Him To “Another Level”
Soulja Boy is always one to speak his mind, especially on social media. While the rapper may have had harsh words for Kanye West in the past, he’s since changed his tune, and today, he offered some lofty praise for the Donda rapper.
The drama between the two (although it was pretty one-sided) began back in November when Kanye removed Soulja’s verse from his Donda record “Remote Control,” after referring to the verse as “trash” during his inflammatory Drink Champs podcast appearance. The “beef” didn’t last very long, as Ye soon apologized and Soulja Boy happily accepted. Since that time, things have taken a turn for a positive, although Soulja briefly blamed Kanye for getting removed from other artists’ songs.

In January, Soulja confirmed he was still on good terms with Ye, although he followed that up with some good ol’ public trolling in February, concerning all the Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson drama.
Whatever’s happened the past few months, as well as his removal from the first Donda effort, Soulja Boy was back in with Kanye for Donda 2 sessions. The rapper makes an appearance on the new album, which is available via Kanye’s stem player.
Now, in response to getting time in the studio with Ye, Soulja has issued some praise. The rapper took to twitter praising Kanye for pushing him to “another level,” and expressed his desire to collaborate with the Chicago native once more, calling him “inspiring.” “Kanye pushed me to another level on Donda 2,” he wrote, “We need to collab more. He inspiring.”
