Boosie Badazz Sends Welcome Home Message To Bill Cosby

There are few people out here that showed Bill Cosby unwavering support like Boosie Badazz. Cosby’s had several notable supporters in the public eye that didn’t bend on their opinion of America’s Dad. One of them being Boosie Badazz. The Baton Rouge rapper’s controversial take on the embattled comedian’s sexual assault accusations did not pass without backlash but he remained firm on his stance.

News of Bill Cosby’s release from prison made headlines today after it was revealed that his conviction has been overturned. A technicality in the case ultimately became what helped Cosby get released from prison.

Boosie Badazz took to Twitter earlier today where he put Cosby’s detractors on blast and doubled down on his claim that the accusers were lying. “YALL DONT JOIN BILL COSBY TEAM NOW,” he wrote with winking emoji. “YALL WAS CLOWNING ME AT FIRST #fakeassworld#billfree THEM HOES LYIN #facts.”

Immediately after the news emerged, Boosie took to Instagram where he offered a warm welcome to Cosby. “Just got the news, Bill Cosby free,” he said. “Welcome home, Bill, boy, from Boosie Badazz. Fuck you mean, mane? God don’t sleep. Yeah, corona hit, y’all still ain’t wanna let the man out of jail. God don’t sleep, mane.”

Shortly after news of his release, Cosby issued a statement via Instagram where he doubled down on his innocence and thanked his supporters and the court.

“I have never changed my stance nor my story. I have always maintained my innocence. Thank you to all my fans, supporters and friends who stood by me through this ordeal. Special thanks to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court for upholding the rule of law,” the statement reads. Check that out below.

Casanova’s Associate Faces Death Penalty Due To Murder Charge

Indicted with a RICO case, a friend of the New York rapper, Casanova, is currently facing the death penalty. Brandon “Stacks” Soto was charged with racketeering on December 1st of this past year, alongside 18 other members of the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation.

The members have been accused of murder, drug dealing, shootings, gun-running in a handful of states, running from New York down to Miami. The rapper himself is currently behind bars without bond due to racketeering conspiracy, narcotics conspiracy, possession of a firearm and aiding and abetting. Though in jail, Casanova remains partially active on social media, and has had alot to say about the poor conditions he’s been under, not to mention the lack of assistance he’s earned from any of his closest allies.

According to All Hip Hop, prosecutors say that Soto was involved in the murder of Jalani Jones, a 15-year-old, this past September. Based on messages from his Instagram, investigators claim they detail his hand in planning the murder.

On the night of September 21, Soto was spotted driving to Brooklyn on a surveillance camera with the shooter who remains unidentified. Cops ultimately found the car following the shooting, put it in their police lot, although it was later said to be stolen from the lot by members of Gorilla Stone.

At the moment, Soto’s public defender, Kenneth Montgomery, is also set to represent Ronald Washington, a man accused of being part of Jam Master Jay’s murder back in 2002. Washington and Karl Jordan, his co-defendant, are also said to be eligible for the death penalty.

Lady Wray Pops Out With “Games People Play”

While it’s been five years since the release of Lady Wray’s album, Queen Alone, the loose singles she’s released within that time has certainly left fans wanting more. In 2020, she shared “Storms” which served as her sole offering of the year. Now, she’s back with her latest record, “Games People Play.” The song, which hails production from El Michels Affair, serves as her first single of the year and hopefully, not her last.

“I just had my daughter at the time, so I was trying to get back into songwriting mode all while being a new mom,” Lady Wray said of the song’s creation. “The lyrics came to me fairly easy because of the production by El Michels Affair. It reminded me of the early 90’s when dating was fun and complicated. Basically a song about past relationships that was full of shit because either you were too young to be in love or know what it truly meant, and playing games because that’s all you knew. Back then those relationships were never meant to last.”

Quotable Lyrics
Take my time
Protect my mind
And my heart
It’s been fun
You’re not the one
That I choose

Jada Pinkett Smith Told Tupac Not To Beat Up Will Smith Once They Started Dating: Report

Two weeks ago, Jada Pinkett Smith sent Twitter into a frenzy after her celebratory birthday post in honor of what would have been Tupac’s 50th birthday reminded everyone just how much love the actress and the legendary West Coast rapper had for each other during the 90s. Jada definitely got fans talking after sharing an archived poem that Tupac wrote for her on Instagram, but thanks to a new interview with former Outlawz rapper Napoleon, they’ll definitely be talking about the infamous love triangle once again.

In a recent sit-down with The Art Of Dialogue, Napoleon discusses his reaction to hearing about the news of Shock G’s untimely passing, and on a more light-hearted note, the now-motivational speaker also touched on Jada Pinkett Smith and Tupac’s close relationship. According to Hip-Hop Lately, Napoleon distinctly remembers Tupac mentioning Jada’s name after she had offended the rapper at the start of her relationship with Will Smith. She had reportedly told the All Eyez On Me rapper to keep his hands off of Will Smith, and her warning had bothered him to the core.

“The second time I probably heard him talk about her is when he went to LA,” Napoleon says. “He was very upset. Pac came in the room [and] was like ‘Jada, she gonna contact me and tell me don’t do nothing to Will Smith.’ Pac was upset, and said ‘I don’t know why she think I would have tried to make some problems with Will Smith. ‘ He had a lot of love for Jada Pinkett at the time.”

Apparently, Tupac wasn’t even trying to beat up Will Smith, but for whatever reason, Jada Pinkett believed that he would try to and tried to deescalate any possible tension between the two rappers.

Watch the clip below to see Napoleon talk about Tupac and Jada Pinkett Smith’s relationship.

Lil Nas X Wants His Fans To Stop Trolling Madonna Over Her Reaction To His BET Awards Performance Kiss

On Sunday, Lil Nas X’s BET Awards performance of his recent hit “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” set social media abuzz with its racy final shot, which evoked comparisons to Madonna’s similar act at the 2003 MTV VMAs from many sources — including Madonna herself. However, Madonna’s lighthearted reminder to fans about Nas’ inspiration wasn’t taken in the spirit in which it was intended by many fans, prompting Nas to put in his two cents on the situation.

In the wake of the awards show kerfuffle, Madonna chimed in on Instagram to post a side-by-side photo comparison of her three-way kiss with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera and Nas’ make-out session with one of his backup dancers, including the tongue-in-cheek caption #diditfirst. Naturally, fans on social media came to Nas’ defense, trolling Madonna for what they saw as stepping on Nas’ moment.

However, Nas, replying to PopCrave’s post about Madonna’s seemingly petty reaction, subtly reminded fans that there’s often more going on behind-the-scenes than they know. “Me and Madonna are friends,” he wrote. “It’s just a joke.”

Meanwhile, much like the song itself (as well as its accompanying music video), the kiss continues to be controversial on social media, with some seeing it as a watershed moment for queer representation in mainstream media and others contending that it represented society’s decaying morals. For his part, Nas has handled the attention with his usual panache, wittily trolling his critics and threatening to up the ante the next time around — time will tell whether that prediction will end up being a joke or not.

G Herbo Reveals “25” Tracklist Featuring Gunna, 21 Savage & More

Coming off PTSD, his well-received and high-charting album from 2020, G Herbo is back with a hefty tracklist for his fast-approaching LP, 25.

Singles off of his previous album, like the Tay Keith-crafted “Really Like That,” garnered millions of streams dating back to its release earlier this year. But, that’s all in the past! What we can expect from this latest project are features from 21 Savage, Gunna, Polo G, Rowdy Rebel among other familiar names, though these are surely the standouts we’re looking forward to.

In the trailer for 25, the rapper gets very introspective, lamenting, “I’ve seen death way too many times. I’ve been shot, been to jail, I done been broke and I took everything that came with this street shit … all the killing, fear … overcoming that fear.” Growth, as with any artist, seems to be a major theme in the way this project is turning out, which is made pretty self-explanatory by the title. He goes on to say “Now that I’m ’25,’ I feel like I’m at the top of my game,” he continued in between splices of Lamborghini street racing and tour footage. “All the bad shit I’ve been through, that’s why I am the way I am I always just kept my head high, staying 10 toes down … I know it’s light at the end of the tunnel.”

It’s safe to say the rapper seems beyond prepared for this drop. Let us know what and who you’re looking forward to hearing most when 25 hits streaming services this Friday.
