Yung Kayo Is “Not In The Mood” On His Latest Single

Since the release of the highly anticipated and long-awaited release of Slime Language 2, Young Thug’s YSL record label has brought some of the most captivating and intriguing young artists to the forefront of the music industry. Having appeared on “Proud Of You” alongside Lil Uzi Vert and Young Thug, YSL artist Yung Kayo seems poised to make a big impression this year.

Last Friday, the rising artist shared the abrasive and chaotic single “bstroy stocks,” and less than a week later, Yung Kayo has already treated listeners with another new track.

In a complete 180 from his recently released single “bstroy” socks, “not in the mood” is a smooth and bubbly track that’s bolstered by a simple, yet catchy hook. According to Genius, the song initially gained popularity on Triller, which makes sense given the song’s fun and carefree vibe.

Listen to Yung Kayo‘s “not in the mood” below and let us know if you’re feeling it.

Quotable Lyrics

Told her I’m not in the mood, no, I’m not in the mood
Told her I’m not in the mood, no, I’m not in the mood
She wanna fuck on the crew, I told her do what she do
Try me, you making the news, in the Wraith, I’m not in the mood

Floyd Mayweather & Logan Paul Link Up For Epic Stare-Down

Excitement is flowing through the air in Miami as Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul are set to fight against each other on Sunday. Coming into this match, pretty well everyone has picked Floyd to be the winner, as he is simply too much of a legend to lose against someone like Logan Paul. Regardless, this fight is going to make a lot of money, and the fanfare surrounding it is going to be a whole lot of fun. The actual boxing might not be spectacular, but the actual event could very well prove to be worth the price of admission, and then some.

Just four days before the fight, Logan and Floyd met up with each other for the ceremonial stare-down, in which each fighter gets just a little too close to each other. As you can see in the clip below, Floyd and Logan held their stares for quite a long time, and it seemed as though Mayweather had no interest in smack talk, although Paul had other plans.

Needless to say, both of these men are locked in prior to their fight on Sunday, and it should be interesting to see how things play out. Even if Logan doesn’t have much of a chance, it would be compelling to see just how long he can stretch the fight out.

Polo G’s ‘Hall Of Fame’ Tracklist Includes Features From Nicki Minaj And Pop Smoke

There is perhaps no greater sign of a rising artist’s impending superstardom than their album tracklist. After releasing two well-received albums in back-to-back years with relatively few big-name co-signs, it looks like Windy City upstart Polo G will finally arrive at that coveted echelon with the release of his third album, Hall Of Fame. He released the tracklist today, and it’s got some real doozies on it.

While his 2019 debut Die A Legend and its 2020 follow-up The Goat certainly didn’t lack for star power — the first included an appearance from Lil Baby and Gunna just months after their joint mixtape Drip Harder launched a veritable mania for the two Atlantans and the latter had a posthumous Juice WRLD appearance — Hall Of Fame sees Polo attracting the sort of names that get the big font on festival flyers. Those names include DaBaby Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Pop Smoke, and Young Thug, while fellow Chicagoans G Herbo and Lil Durk and fellow XXL Freshmen Fivio Foreign, Rod Wave, and Roddy Ricch also look to contribute. With such a star-studded cast in the wings, the anticipation for Polo’s latest is higher than it’s ever been; thank goodness we only have to wait a week to hear it.

Hall Of Fame is due 6/11 via Columbia Records. See the full tracklist below. Pre-save it on Apple Music and Spotify here.

Stephen A. Smith Wants Black Players To Speak Up In Light Of Brad Stevens Promotion

Over the years, there has been a steady discourse about black head coaches in the NBA and how some candidates are passed up for less qualified white ones. This has been especially true when it comes to executive roles, which are predominantly occupied by white men. Perhaps the most egregious example of these biases occurred this past week as Brad Stevens was promoted from his role as Celtics head coach. Now, he will be replacing Danny Ainge as president of basketball operations, despite a lack of results as head coach.

Stephen A. Smith was angered by the news, and yesterday on First Take, he let his displeasure be known as he delivered a passionate monologue on the matter. In fact, Smith called on black players to voice their concerns about this trend. As Smith explained, he feels as though black players speak up about social issues, however, when it comes to their own teams, they remain quiet. Smith even touched on the George Floyd protests and how the players were so vocal during the summer.

“We’re supposed to be awake. And we understand the knee on (George) Floyd’s neck wasn’t just about police brutality but the figurative semblance it provided where you’re feeling like constantly people have their knees on our neck since the time you come out of the womb,” Stephen A. said. Smith eventually walked off the set following his comments, as he was frustrated by the Stevens announcement.

As it stands, this is a systemic issue throughout the NBA, and much like the NFL, it is going to take a very long time before things become more equitable. However, to Smith’s point, if the players speak up, that change could very well come sooner rather than later.

Lil Loaded’s Mother Noticed He Was Upset About A Breakup The Night Before His Death

This week began with an enormous tragedy, as the Hip-Hop community lost one of its young rising stars. News broke that Lil Loaded had sadly passed away at the age of 20, and the next day, the late rapper’s lawyer alleged that Lil Loaded’s death was the result of suicide. In a statement to TMZ, Ashkan Mehryari said, “Sadly, Mr. Robertson passed away earlier today as a result of a reported suicide,” he wrote in a statement.”

While Cedar Hill Police continues to investigate Lil Loaded’s death, heartbreaking new details have revealed that his mother was the person to discover his body and call the police. According to Complex, Lil Loaded’s mother called the police on Monday to report an attempted suicide after she found her son with a gunshot to the head, and when authorities arrived at the scene, she was reportedly on the porch crying.

According to Complex, Lil Loaded’s mother noticed that her 20-year-old son was extremely upset while going through a breakup on Sunday night, which echoes the rumor that his suicide was the result of Loaded finding out that his girlfriend had cheated on him. This chilling news also coincides with reports of troubling messages being posted to his Instagram story on the day of his death.

“Dear most high, please forgive me for my shortcomings and all of the times I’ve fell short of making you proud and being appreciative of all the blessings that have been put in my life,” Lil Loaded wrote in his final Instagram Story post. “Sometimes the lines are blurred between being solid and being heartless I want to thank you for how far I’ve come and the people you’ve put in my life to keep me grounded and humble through everything and I love every single one of those people that are genuinely for me I ask for entrance into your kingdom thru all of my mistakes I know you love all of your children and I’m ready for my heart and soul to Join you.”

Stay tuned as this story continues to develop. Rest in peace, Lil Loaded.

Drake’s “More Life Growth Company” & Canopy Cut Ties After Less Than Two Years

When rapper and musician Drake launched his own cannabis company back on November 7th, 2019, he also announced the partnership between his More Life Growth Company and Canopy Growth, a fellow cannabis business. On Wednesday June 2nd, Canopy Growth Corporation and the “Fake Love” rapper’s More Life Growth Company decided to part ways. The ending of this joint business venture is costing both parties millions of dollars, reportedly.

Drake had first teased the launch of More Life Growth Company back on November 5th, 2019. Agreements between the two included the details of the “Free Smoke” rapper holding sixty percent of More Life, while Canopy Growth held the other forty percent. In a press release for the More Life and Canopy Growth team up, Drake stated “the idea of being able to build something special in an industry that is ever growing has been inspiring. More Life and More Blessing.”

The two entities have remained in business up until now. Upon the split, Canopy Growth has since removed their investment from the More Life Growth Company and its facility located in Scarborough. Canopy Growth converted More Life’s Scarborough location into an R&D facility for Canopy, as confirmed by their director of communications: “We have indeed divested from More Life and the facility in Scarborough which had been intended to be part of that agreement is now Canopy Growth’s R&D facility, where we will work on plant science and science development projects.”

Canopy also removed royalty assets from More Life that were worth almost C$33.7 million. The termination of this joint business venture follows the financial reports that were filed back in March of this year. The financial reports stated the termination of their sub-licensing contract due to impairments on Canopy’s investment into More Life. Impairments on investments occur when the value of a product does not remain the same, or decreases, when a deal was originally brokered.

Will the More Life Growth Company survive the termination of this business deal? What business venture should Drake pursue next?

Logan Paul Thought Floyd Mayweather Would Pay Him To Throw Fight

Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather are officially fighting on Sunday, and fans cannot wait to see how it all goes down. This battle will be taking place in Miami and there is a lot of hype surrounding what’s going to happen and whether or not Paul can hold his own against a legend like Floyd. The internet is going to be a very rowdy place come Sunday night, and we speak for many when we say that the memes are going to be magical.

Today, Mayweather and Paul met up face-to-face where they took part in the face-off/staredown before the fight. This is always a huge part of the fanfare prior to boxing events, and it did not disappoint. Afterward, Paul spoke to TMZ about the fight, and at one point, he claimed that he thought Floyd Mayweather would pay him to throw the match.

“I was waiting for the guy in the black suit to approach me and be like ‘Yo, we’ll pay you $50 million dollars to throw this fight. We can’t afford Floyd losing’ … but it never happened,” Logan said. “I don’t even care about the money. I just wanna beat Floyd Mayweather.”

At this point, it’s clear that both men want to win and while Floyd might be the heavy favorite, Logan is still eager to get in the ring and give it everything he has.

Lil Dicky Gets Romantically Involved With Doja Cat In A New Trailer For Season 2 Of ‘Dave’

It was made official a few weeks ago that the second season of Lil Dicky’s beloved FX series Dave will premiere this summer. Now there’s a new trailer for the upcoming episodes and it reveals some of what will be going on this season. The new season, by the way, is set to premiere on June 16 at 10 p.m. on FXX before streaming on Hulu the next day.

Dicky seems to be experiencing a creative block and having trouble making his debut album, despite other things in his life going well. For example, Dicky seems to have connected with Doja Cat through an online dating platform. Elsewhere, he encounters Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi of Rae Sremmurd, as well as Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner at Benny Blanco’s house. The trailer wraps up with him hilariously talking with NBA legend (and Airplane star) Kareem Abdul-Jabbar about how basketball used to be.

Other celebrities not in the trailer but previously revealed to be making appearances this season are Lil Nas X, CL, Kyle Kuzma, J Balvin, Lil Yachty, Kevin Hart, and others.

Press materials previously said of the new season, “Dave knows he’s destined for rap superstardom — but at what cost? With the pressure mounting as he records his debut album, he has to decide if he’ll sacrifice friendships, love, and his own sense of self in order to make his dream come true. Simultaneously exasperating and inspiring to his friends, Dave vows to leave no stone unturned on his quest to become the next superstar.”
