SZA Requests Travis Scott’s Phone Number So She Can Perform ‘Love Galore’ With Him Again

This month marks four years since SZA released her classic debut album, Ctrl. Fourth anniversaries typically don’t warrant much celebration in the music world, but it appears the singer could have something up her sleeve for it. Her hope apparently is that it’ll involve a performance of “Love Galore” with Travis Scott as she hopped on Twitter to request his phone number to make it happen.

“Can somebody ask Travis to perform love galore w me one last time for old times sake,” she wrote. “Ion got his number lol.”

“Love Galore” is of course one of the standout efforts from Ctrl and the second-highest charting song from the album, behind the fan-favorite, “The Weekend.” SZA and Scott have performed the song together on a few occasions, including at a New York City tour spot and a visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, both of which occurred in 2017.

With SZA’s next album set to hopefully arrive in the coming months, it would be nice to see her perform “Love Galore” and potentially more from Ctrl before moving on to the next chapter of her career.

SZA’s tweet comes after she revealed she “burst into tears” while rehearsing “20 Something,” the outro from Ctrl, which adds fuel to the speculation for a special performance for her debut album.

Julius Randle Delivers A Message Of Optimism To Knicks Fans

Last night was a disappointing one for Knicks fans everywhere as the team was officially eliminated from the playoffs. Despite an improbable run in the regular season, the team couldn’t keep up their play in the postseason, and eventually, Trae Young ran all over them. Regardless, this is a season to build on for the Knicks, and moving forward, the fans have a lot to look forward to.

These were sentiments that were echoed by the team’s star Julius Randle, who told reporters after Game 5 that he is excited about what this Knicks team is going to do next. Randle was a key reason behind the team’s success, and there is reason to believe he will be even better next year.

“We’re bringing a brand of basketball back that the city can be proud of,” Randle said. “We have something to build on for the future. It’s tough for me to process that right now the way things ended, but we’ll be back.”

The Knicks have had to suffer for numerous years but now, they have a real opportunity to be a mainstay in the Eastern Conference playoffs. If they continue to trend higher, they may very well attract some big-name free agents, which would only help bolster the team’s fortunes, further.

Detroit Rapper The Big Homie Arrested After Flashing Guns On IG Live: Report

You never know what you’ll encounter when tuning in to an artist’s Instagram Live. Boosie Badazz and Tory Lanez have gone down in Livestream history with their often scandalous appearances, but not many find themselves being snatched up by authorities. Delmarco Craig, a 22-year-old Detroit rapper known as The Big Homie, unfortunately experienced just that when he reportedly flashed a machine gun and other firearms on Instagram Live.

Detroit News reports that Craig is a convicted felon and isn’t allowed to be in possession of firearms at all, but he was allegedly clearly seen with weapons on the social media app. His lawyer, however, doesn’t think that his client should be penalized for displaying behaviors that are common for Rap artists.

“A lot of these young rap artists with social media today find themselves involving using guns in videos,” said attorney Steven Schard. “That does not necessarily mean they’re thugs or believe in assaults. It’s just part of the façade of the rap industry.” Detroit News stated that police began monitoring Craig’s Instagram account back in March.

In a report, an official wrote about Craig’s behavior in the video. “Craig then pulled the Glock pistol away from the camera and placed the rear of the slide in the center of the camera…revealing what appears to be a Glock conversion device affixed to the rear of the slide.” On May 26, ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) reportedly raided Craig’s home, seized several firearms, and later discovered that two of the weapons were reported stolen.

After testing the weapons, one of them was reportedly tied to seven shootings that have occurred in the last seven months—one of those instances was said to be a reported homicide. During the raid on Craig’s home, police also discovered a 2021 Cadillac Escalade that was reported stolen. The rapper has been taken into custody and faces upwards of 10 years in prison if convicted.

Chris Bosh Explains How Kobe Bryant’s Passing Changed Him

Kobe Bryant was a highly-influential player out on the basketball court and he is responsible for some of the best moments in NBA history. His untimely passing in 2020 remains one of the saddest stories in the history of the sport, although his legacy will always live on. Numerous former and current players have spoken out on just how much Kobe had an impact on their lives. Many of these players have even reported a shift in mentality, following Kobe’s passing.

One of those players just so happens to be Chris Bosh, who retired back in 2016 due to health problems. As he explained per SportsNet, Kobe’s death made him want to change his ways, and focus more on his family. Bosh realizes that life can end in an instant, and he wants to make the most of his time on this earth.

“To tell you the truth, after Kobe (Bryant) passed it put that much more perspective on what’s important and so I take the extra time with the family, with the kids, talking to kids, encouraging people, just trying to be positive and make each day a masterpiece,” Bosh said. “You do that just by staying in the present and enjoying the day as it is or trying your best to or working hard.”

Having to retire early proved to be a burden on Bosh, and during his retirement, he had to do a lot of soul-searching. However, Kobe’s situation made him realize he had everything he wanted right in front of him. It’s great to see Bosh in a good place right now, and hopefully, he is able to make the most of his career outside of basketball.

Yung Bleu Responds To Producer’s Lawsuit Against Him & Boosie Badazz

His star has continued to rise ever since he landed a Drake feature on “You’re Mines Still,” but a producer is taking Yung Bleu to court along with Boosie Badazz. Before blowing up in the industry. Bleu signed a deal with Boosie’s Bad Azz Music Syndicate, and according to a producer named Ice Starr, both artists owe him money for Bleu’s song, “Miss It.”

According to TMZ, Starr claims that his grievances with Yung Bleu date all the way back to 2017.

Starr reportedly describes himself as a producer who works with rappers creating “compositions and recordings” for artists “to use on a licensing basis.” However, Starr says for years Bleu has been using his tracks “without his knowledge, authorization, and without any compensation whatsoever.” This includes “Miss It” and another of Bleu’s successful songs, “Ice On My Baby,” as well as “most of Yung Bleu’s ‘Investment 5’ album.”

The producer’s rift with Boosie stems from Starr reportedly signing his rights to the production of “Miss It” after the song had already been released. According to Starr, the song was dropped without his knowledge and he’s suing both Bleu and Boosie for copyright infringement. He wants a court to award him a portion of the royalties, however, Bleu said he’s already been compensated.

In a statement to TheShadeRoom, but denies Ice Starr’s allegations.

“He [Ice] got paid for all the beats he did on that project,” Bleu told the outlet. “We were on the come up together. He was an unknown producer. The songs just happened to blow up after he sold his rights… He sold his rights to my manager, Taquari (Boosie’s brother), for $1,500. He didn’t know it was gonna blow up.”

Boosie has yet to respond to the allegations.

Dennis Schroder Takes Lakers Out Of His IG Bio, Fans React

Dennis Schroder was supposed to be a huge addition for the Los Angeles Lakers this year. With Rajon Rondo going elsewhere, the Lakers need an adequate point guard and Schroder was set to be that man. Unfortunately, it became clear from the start that he didn’t like his role in Los Angeles and wanted a lot more. At times, he made his displeasure be known, and prior to the playoffs, he even ratted out LeBron James for not taking the vaccine.

Just a couple of nights ago, Schroder put up an abysmal performance in Game 5 against the Phoenix Suns, as he scored a whopping zero points. The Lakers were blown out by 30 in the game, and now, the Lakers are set to take on the Suns tonight in a do-or-die scenario. Shockingly, just hours before tip-off, Schroder has preemptively taken the Lakers out of his bio on Instagram.

This was immediately clocked by Lakers fans who are always doing dome digging prior to games. As you can imagine, many fans took this as the ultimate sign of disrespect, and the Schroder slander has already begun. Even Max Kellerman got in on the fun as he stated that Schroder hasn’t been a factor anyway.

With the Lakers set to hit the court in just a few hours, this will certainly spark a conversation in the locker room.

Ja Morant’s Father Shows Love To Donovan Mitchell & The Jazz

During the early stages of the series between the Utah Jazz and the Memphis Grizzlies, some Jazz fans taunted Ja Morant’s family and even used racial slurs while his family was in the stands. Three fans were caught in the aftermath, and they were all banned from the arena. Following this unfortunate incident, the Jazz issued an apology to Morant’s family and even offered them free courtside seats, as well as lodging in Salt Lake City.

While most of Morant’s family declined the offer, Ja’s father Tee made sure to attend Game 5, where the Jazz eventually ended the series. Following the game, Tee Morant went up to Jazz star Donovan Mitchell and thanked him for his team’s treatment of the Morant family following the fan incident. In fact, Tee even said that he hopes the Jazz go on to win it all.

“Hey yo, I’m going for y’all right now,” Morant said. Y’all didn’t have to show love to us like that. This is what I’m saying: When s— goes bad and then you reach out, that’s how you bridge the gap. Most people don’t realize that. That’s why I appreciate you, and that’s why I hope the Jazz win the championship.”

While speaking to reporters after the game, Mitchell explained just how much Tee’s support means to him and the team, moving forward. “For me, it was just the ultimate sign of respect,” Mitchell said. “You see him talking about the way he handled it, the way we went about it. For me, that’s just how you approach it. Things are going to happen, and you’ve got to show a side of gratitude — bridging that gap, like he said.”

Now, the Jazz are waiting for the winner of the series between the Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Clippers. No matter what, this will be a tough test for the Jazz, who are looking like favorites to come out of the West.
