Rich The Kid Is All About Luxury On “Richard Mille Patek” Single

If there is one person who loves to flex luxury brands and iced out jewelry, it’s Rich The Kid. The Rich Forever rapper recently shared that he inked a new deal with Rostrum Records after reportedly paying a whopping $1 million to buy himself out of his previous contract. Rich had been reportedly entangled in label and management issues and he previously became so frustrated that he aired out his problems on his Instagram Story. Now that that is all behind him, Rich returns with his new single dedicated to the Richard Mille luxury brand.

“Richard Mille Patek” arrives with a visual that shows Rich The Kid flexing boss moves with cash and beautiful women. “I’m excited to work with Rostrum in this next chapter of life and music,” Rich The Kid said in a statement. “This is a partnership that will be vital to showing artists that they can be independent and still win on a mainstream level. With the help of Benjy, Jae, and the Rostrum team, we will take over the summer and everything after.”

Funk Flex & CJ Unite In Harlem In Visual To “You Know” Single

We’re quickly approaching those summer months and America’s on track to be fully opened up within a few weeks. Music fans can expect a heavy load of new tunes in upcoming months as artists take their turns dropping off what they hope to be the next banger, and on Friday (April 23), Funk Flex and CJ finally shared their collaboration, “You Know.”

Flex has been carefully rolling out collaborative tracks with artists like Rowdy Rebel, King Von, and Fivio Foreign, and after teasing CJ’s effort, the rising artist delivered his addition to the collection. In the visual, Flex and CJ take to the streets of Harlem in a visual that echoes several of the other clips we’ve received from Flex recently. In addition to his continuous rollout, Flex also recently announced his media hub InFlexWeTrust was recently revamped in partnership with Create Music Group.

“I wanted to create a space and platform where artists that you may not think of off the top to collaborate can come together and create tracks that showcase their diversity and talent,” said Flex. “These newer artists, who’s hard work has been paying off with a growing buzz, like CJ, are artists I believe in and want to help continue the grind to the top while creating music people love.”

Flatbush Zombies Will Continue The Celebration Of Their Debut Album With An Upcoming Graphic Novel

Flatbush Zombies are in celebration mode this year. Aside from getting through the bulk of a global pandemic safely, this year also marks the fifth anniversary of their debut album, 3001: A Laced Odyssey. Last month, the group revealed awesome action figures of the three members — Meechy Darko, Zombie Juice, and Erick The Architect — that were made in collaboration with Incenidum. After being turned into five-inch figures the group has announced another way they plan on celebrating 3001: A Laced Odyssey, this time through a graphic novel.

The group hopped on Instagram to announce their 3001: A Prequel Odyssey novel. “YOU THOUGHT WE WERE DONE CELEBRATING THE 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY?” they wrote. “THE GLORIOUS DEAD PRESENT TO YOU: 3001: A PREQUEL ODYSSEY. WHEN DARK FORCES INVADE FLATBUSH TO UNLEASH A NIGHTMARE ENTITY – ONLY ONE GROUP STANDS IN THEIR WAY.” They go onto reveal that the novel is written by Genius’ Rob Markman and features art from JJ Lopez and David Nakayama.

The novel is priced at $99.99 and is expected to be released at some point in October 2021. Consumers have the option to buy a basic softcover or hardcover edition, but they can level up to a packaged deluxe edition, limited to just 2,500 copies. This comes with an oversized hardcover deluxe edition graphic novel, graphic novel slipcase, three exclusive art prints, and a mystery fan token. There’s also a super deluxe edition — limited to just 500 copies — that comes with a limited edition Now, More Than Ever EP on vinyl, one limited edition trading card, and three framed exclusive art prints in addition to the oversized hardcover deluxe edition graphic novel and a graphic novel slipcase.

You can read the announcement from Flatbush Zombies in the post above.

The 3001: A Prequel Odyssey novel is out October 2021. Pre-order it here.

Flatbush Zombies is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Rich The Kid’s ‘Richard Millie Patek’ Is An Ode To An Expensive Taste In Watches

After delivering two projects to fans in 2020, Boss Man and Nobody Safe with NBA Youngboy, Rich The Kid quickly got to work at the beginning of the new year with his Lucky 7 EP. Just three months removed from that project, it seems like the “New Freezer” rapper has a lot more in store for his supporters in 2021. Rich The Kid returned with his latest single, “Richard Millie Patek,” a record named after the highly expensive Richard Millie and Patek Philippe watches. The track arrives with an accompanying video that sees him celebrating the pair of wristwatches, both of which can be found sitting comfortably on his wrist while turning up with women and large sums of money around him.

Rich The Kid’s Lucky 7 EP was highlighted by his “Nasty” song and video featuring some of today’s best and newest female rappers: Mulatto, Rubi Rose, and Flo Milli. While that was good moment for the rapper, its release was surrounded by controversy. Prior to the EP’s release he was sued by Fashion Nova for breach of contract and was ordered to pay his former manager $1.1 million. He also had to cough up $300,000 for skipping rent and wrecking a mansion. After the arrival of Lucky 7, he was reportedly arrested at an airport for carrying a loaded gun.

Ariana Grande And The Weeknd Bring New Life To ‘Save Your Tears’ With An Animated Remix

Fans of Ariana Grande and The Weeknd who appreciated the duo’s first collaboration, 2014’s “Love Me Harder,” had to wait a little over seven years to get a second song from them. That second track would wind up being “Off The Table” from Grande’s sixth album, Positions. Luckily for the singers’ supporters, they didn’t have to wait nearly as long for a third track between Grande and The Weeknd. The pair reunited for a remix of “Save Your Tears,” a track from The Weeknd’s After Hours album.

The new version arrives with an animated visual that sees The Weeknd building the ideal woman for himself thanks to an assembly line of body parts. The “Save Your Tears” remix comes weeks after The Weeknd hinted that the After Hours era, one that began with the album’s release in March 2020, was not over yet. “P.s. this chapter isn’t quite done yet …” he said on Twitter, adding, “still tying some loose ends.” Afterward, he dropped a video for “Try Me” from his 2018 EP, My Dear Melancholy, and sold an unreleased song through an NFT auction.

On Grande’s side of things, she recently connected with Demi Lovato for their “Met Him Last Night” track and shared a behind-the-scenes clip of her meticulously singing during a Positions studio session.

NBA YoungBoy Delivers Emotional “Territorial” Single

There was speculation regarding if NBA YoungBoy had something in the works after it was shared that both Yaya Mayweather, who he just welcomed a child with, and his girlfriend Jazlyn Mychelle, who the rapper is reportedly expecting a child with, both deactivated their Instagram accounts. The mystery behind the deletion remains as YoungBoy’s team drops off his latest single, “Territorial.”

The rapper is currently incarcerated under federal custody on weapons charges and last week, he officially entered his not guilty plea. The women in his life, including a half dozen different mothers of his children, have often kept YoungBoy’s personal life off of social media, aside from Yaya who has publicly taken issue with Jazlyn.

On “Territorial,” YoungBoy melodically raps his way through a story about his woman who holds it down while he’s taking care of business, however, it’s unknown who he may be referring to. Stream “Territorial” and let us know what you think.

The Weeknd Shares Ariana Grande-Assisted Remix To “Save Your Tears”

The album may have received the ultimate snub from The Recording Academy, but After Hours is the gift that keeps on giving. The Weeknd is one of the most celebrated artists and innovators in music currently and unlike many of his fellow artists, the singer enjoys working on, switching up, promoting, and remixing an album for a long period of time. After Hours first arrived in March 2020, and after spending over a year on the charts, The Weeknd is back with a remix.

Recently, the XO mogul shared that a remix to After Hours favorite “Save Your Tears” featuring Ariana Grande would arrive, and on Friday (April 23), he delivered. The Weeknd and the pop princess dropped off an animated visual to their collaboration where he’s seen building the perfect woman as he continues on in the same AH storyline first presented last year. Stream “Save Your Tears (Remix)” by The Weeknd featuring Ariana Grande and let us know what you think.
