Toosii Blasts Rubi Rose & DDG: “F*ck You & Your Boyfriend!”

In one of the more left-field beefs to simmer this year, rising artist Toosii has shared his thoughts on the tension between him, Rubi Rose, and DDG. During an Instagram live interview with DJ Akademiks, Toosii touched on the beef that he has with Rubi Rose and DDG, and he had some pretty heated takes on the situation.

According to the New York rapper, the drama between him and his contemporaries has been brewing for longer than most fans would probably think. However, he ultimately points the finger at Rubi Rose and DDG for starting the beef altogether, saying that Rubi Rose kept texting him before eventually telling Toosii that since DDG has smoke with him, so does she.

To his stance on the matter completely clear, the Poetic Pain artist repeatedly says, “F*ck you and your boyfriend.”

According to Toosii, DDG has been shading him for a while now by letting off vague and subliminal shots on his socials, but Toosii has purposely been brushing those minor situations off and letting the Die 4 Respect artist slide. However, the latest fiasco with DDG trying to check him for texting Rubi Rose apparently is the straw that broke the camel’s back because Toosi is no long sparing his words for either of Rubi Rose or DDG.

“Listen, gang,” Toosii starts. “If you that mad about a b*tch who done sucked every rap and every f*cking genre d*ck? Son, stop playing with a n*gga!” Ain’t no need for you to have no pressure about a b*tch who done sucked 35 f*cking d*cks before she even got to you. If you that mad, we on the same Rolling Loud date. F*ck all this internet sh*t. You gon’ see me when you see me.”

Derek Chauvin Juror Opens Up About The Hardest Part Of The Trial

The trial of Derek Chauvin hasn’t completely ended yet but the jury did hand in their verdict last week. Many were on edge that Chauvin wouldn’t be held accountable for the murder of George Floyd but the jury’s decision affirmed what we all saw on camera.

Brandon Mitchell, who was listed as juror #52, is finally opening up about the jury process last week and addressed the overwhelming concern by right-wing pundits that Chauvin wasn’t convicted out of guilt but out of fear of another possible protest. Mitchell explained that none of the jurors were feeling public pressure that would result in the trial’s outcome while revealing what the hardest part of the trial was: re-watching the gruesome footage of Floyd’s death.

“The pressure more so came from being in the room and being under stress, but it wasn’t pressure to come to a guilty verdict,” he told Gayle King who then asked about where the stress came from. “We were just stressed about just the simple fact of everyday we have to watch a Black man die.”

In terms of how the jury quickly came to a verdict, Mitchell explained that there was little push back on anything except the actual instructions. Apparently, there was confusion surrounding how to interpret the instructions but the one confused juror ultimately came around. Check out Brandon Mitchell’s interview with Gayle King below.

Walmart Says Kanye West’s New Yeezy Logo Is Too Similar To Theirs And Might Confuse Customers

Most of the recent talk around Kanye West’s Yeezy brand is about how his shoes look like Crocs, or how the company fired an intern for violating their NDA contract. But this time, Yeezy’s new logo design is at the forefront of the conversation. Walmart has filed a copyright infringement complaint against the Yeezy brand, saying that the new logo is so similar to theirs that it might cause confusion among customers.

The new Yeezy logo features eight clusters of three dots which radiate from the center like a star. But because Walmart is concerned that the design is too similar to their own logo, they filed an official complaint with the US Patent And Trademark Office, according to Business Insider. They state that the design “is likely to cause confusion, mistake and deception” for their customers, and could lead to people mistakenly thinking the two brands are related. In their infringement complaint, Walmart states that the “false affiliation” between Yeezy and their company would potentially “damage” their brand and the “goodwill” they’ve worked to associate their name with.

News of the copyright infringement complain arrives on the heels of Yeezy’s charitable initiative. Kanye’s company announced that they would be releasing a DMX tribute shirt to honor the rapper’s legacy, with all proceeds from sales going directly to DMX’s family.

Jake Paul Accepts Kamaru Usman’s Indirect Challenge

Jake Paul has been in a verbal tirade with basically everyone in the UFC, after his win against Ben Askren. The YouTube star is now 3-0 in professional boxing, and he’s been challenging MMA fighters left and right. This past Saturday, at UFC 261, one of his feuds almost came to blows when Daniel Cormier left the commentary table to confront Paul who was watching ringside. The two had a heated exchange resulting in security separating them.

After the confrontation, “F*** Jake Paul” chants began to fill the arena.  When Cormier returned to the commentary table, he told Joe Rogan he “don’t play those games” in response to the incident, and said he would smack Paul in the face.

On Tuesday, after successfully defending his welterweight championship against Jorge Masivadal with a 2nd round knockout, Usman spoke to TMZ about his next potential match, saying that it might be beating the sh*t out of “one of those internet guys,” because apparently the other UFC fighters haven’t shown him enough.

While Usman didn’t actually mention anyone by name, Paul is clearly “one of those internet guys.” Later in the interview, Usman spoke about the confrontation between Paul and DC at UFC 2621, saying Paul needs to “put some respect” on Daniel Cormier’s name.

Paul eventually took to Twitter to accept Usman’s indirect challenge.

“Challenge accepted @USMAN84kg if your boss Dana gives you permission to box me and make more money than you ever have, let me know and we can lace them up. I promise it will be your biggest pay day.”

Although Usman originally called out Paul, it appears the UFC welterweight champ has no intention in fighting him, as he also took to twitter to send a reply: “Keep making your money young man, and stay on that side. I ain’t no Disney kid and I don’t play fighting.”

For Paul’s sake, let’s hope it stays that way.

JAY-Z & Nas Collaboration Previewed By DJ Khaled

We were expecting a pretty star-studded lineup for DJ Khaled’s upcoming studio album Khaled Khaled but even still, hip-hop fans are marveling at just how unreal his tracklist seems. The well-connected DJ has 21 Savage and Justin Bieber on the same song, another collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, Post Malone, Lil Baby, and DaBaby under one roof, and more unexpected collaborations. However, the most eye-catching track on the album has to be the ninth one on the tracklist.

“Sorry Not Sorry” is a song that’s been years in the making, hosting two of rap’s most beloved emcees and watching them duel over the same beat. With vocal guidance from James Fauntleroy and harmonies by The Hive, JAY-Z and Nas are set to release their latest collaborative effort on Friday.

The track was previewed shortly after DJ Khaled posted the tracklist, giving us a small taste of what the Hype Williams-directed music video will look like. Hov and Nas sit at the same casino table, smoking cigars and living their billion-dollar dreams, marking a tremendous moment for fans that have documented their feud for the last few decades.

“GOD BLESSED MY ALBUM. MY FAMILY BLESSED MY ALBUM. JAY-Z BLESS MY ALBUM. NAS BLESSED MY ALBUM. THE HIVE BLESSED MY ALBUM. #KHALEDKHALED THIS FRIDAY APRIL 30TH,” wrote the DJ on Instagram. “WE MAKING HISTORY! THEY SAID IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE SO GOD MADE POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

For years, people theorized about Nas and JAY-Z’s continued beef, joking that they always tend to release new music on the exact same dates to steal each other’s shine. This time, they’re dropping on the same day, but they’ll be on the same song. How nice is that?

Listen to a preview of the song below and stay tuned for the full release of “Sorry Not Sorry” with Khaled Khaled on Friday.

Alchemist & Earl Sweatshirt Connect For “Loose Change”

It’s no secret that Alchemist and Earl Sweatshirt have mutual respect for one another’s artistry. In fact, Alchemist recently praised Earl’s unique nature, revealing that the young emcee has become somewhat of an A&R for him. So much so that he actively sought the Earl stamp of approval for his upcoming EP This Thing Of Ours, on which Sweatshirt appears in abundance. Today, the pair have reunited on the new single “Loose Change,” which picks up where last week’s “Nobles” left off

Taking to Alc’s sample-driven production, Earl wastes little time in weaving a few cryptic pictures for the masses to unpack. “You be with the boys and I’ma be with the dawgs,” he spits. “Blood on the Travies, it serve as a challenge coin / I’m the voice, I had to speak for the org, passed the preacher / Smashed up weed on the organ, master teachings.” While the crux of Earl’s message isn’t always entirely clear, damned if he doesn’t sound like a natural over Alchemist beats. Behold the pair of kindred spirits at work right here, and look for This Thing Of Ours to land in full on Friday, April 30th.

QUOTABLE LYRICS
