Kodak Black Pleads Guilty, Walks Away From Sexual Assault Case Without Jail Time

UPDATE:

Kodak Black’s legal team has issued a statement on the case:

Today Bill Kapri took a plea to the legal charge of assault, a non sex offense, and received 18 months probation. This was a change of charge from the original charge. Having consistently denied these 5 year old allegations, he entered this plea in order to resolve the matter.

Ever since Kodak Black became one of the Hip-Hop community’s most beloved younger acts, the Flordia artist‘s career has been plagued with legal issues, and his sexual assault case in South Carolina has been one of the toughest cases for Kodak to shake.According to AllHipHop, Kodak Black’s six-year court case originally stemmed from a 2016 incident in which a girl claimed Kodak raped her and committed sexual battery in a hotel room after his performance at the Treasure City Nightclub in Florence, South Carolina.

As previously reported, the repercussions for the charges raised against Kodak could have resulted in the rapper facing up to 30 years in prison. Today, AllHipHop reports that, surprisingly, Kodak Black will not be serving any jail time at all regarding his ongoing sexual assault case. After visiting Florence, South Carolina to appear in court, the Bill Israel artist has reportedly entered a guilty plea, and his decision to do so has led to him receiving a drastically reduced sentence.

According to AllHipHop, Kodak Black was hit with a 10-year sentence today, but thanks to his guilty plea agreement, his lengthy sentence was suspended for 18 months of probation and mandated counseling. Also of note, Kodak reportedly acknowledged his guilt and apologized to the victim during the court hearing.

Considering that the charges brought against Kodak could have led to the Florida artist serving 30 years behind bars, it’s safe to say that Kodak the Finesse Kid has practically walked away scot-free from his endless sexual assault. This marks his second life-changing win within the criminal justice sentence this year, following former President Donald Trump’s highly publicized last-minute pardon. As long as Kodak Black goes to his court-ordered counseling and follows the terms of his 18-month probation, the rapper will remain a free man.

JackBoy Drops Off New Banger “Protecting My Energy”

With Kodak Black out, the Sniper Gang movement is running smoothly. During his absence, Yak had JackBoy hold down the fort which he did successfully. During the NBA Youngboy beef, it was Jackboy who emerged with the meme-worthy toilet paper roll that ended up being sold as merch.

Besides his work behind the scenes, JackBoy successfully established himself independently of Kodak with the release of three projects including his self-titled album and Living In History. After a few singles to hear up 2021, the rapper emerged today with a more emotional record with “Protecting My Energy.” The rapper’s latest record finds him in a contemplative state as he reflects on trust and loyalty within his inner circle.

Check the latest from Jackboy below and sound off in the comments with your thoughts.

PornHub CEO’s Mansion Fire Is Being Investigated As Arson: Report

The CEO of PornHub Feras Antoon’s multi-million dollar mansion was burned down to the ground and police are investigating the incident as arson. On Sunday, the $20M mansion that was under construction was burned down just after it hit the market. The home, which consisted of eight bedrooms and 12 bathrooms, was located in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville area, began construction in 2019 just after Antoon purchased the property.

Police said they responded to a call around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday that was made by a witness on the scene. The witness said that two people trespassed onto the property before it was set ablaze and the fires quickly spread. Neighbors evacuated their homes out of fear of the fire going out of control. Thankfully, no one was harmed.

“Over the weekend, a fire occurred at my residence,” said Antoon to VICE. “The residence was under construction. I am grateful that my family and I and our neighbors are safe. Out of respect for the ongoing police investigation, I will not be commenting further.”

The home was already a point of controversy at the time of the purchase since the City Of Montreal approved having 220 trees cut down in order to facilitate the home being built which many locals were against.

This adds to the ongoing headache Antoon’s already facing from a probe into PornHub. Last year, the adult entertainment company removed millions of videos after an investigation determined many of them included minors and sex trafficking victims.

Rick Ross & Pharrell Williams Link Up

Rick Ross is no stranger to opening the doors of his sprawling estate and staging one-on-one meetings with his fellow bosses. Look no further than his recent get-together with a sword-bearing Diddy, during which many luxurious topics were no doubt discussed. And while fans have been eager to hear an update on Rozay’s upcoming album Richer Than I’ve Ever Been, the Floridian rapper has been fueling speculation by sharing a few interesting meet-ups on his Instagram page.

The latest happens to be with none other than Pharrell Williams, who recently played a pivotal role in blessing Moneybagg Yo with an album highlight in “Certified Neptunes.” Ross shared a few images of their hangout on his IG page, and fans were quick to show their appreciation for the pair of hip-hop veterans who continue innovating to this day.

As collaborators, Ross and Pharrell aren’t exactly strangers, having previously united on God Forgives, I Don’t track “Presidential” and its subsequent remix. And while one hangout does not a collaboration make, the timing is certainly favorable. Last we checked, Ross was still putting the finishing touches on Richer Than I’ve Ever Been, recently coming out of the woodwork to tease an Isaac Hayes-sampling snippet. For all we know, an announcement could be imminent — at least, we certainly hope so.

Check out the pictures of Skateboard P and Yung Renzel’s recent meeting of the minds, and sound off if you’d like to see them connect for a duet on Richer Than I’ve Ever Been.

Soulja Boy Reacts To Charlamagne & DJ Envy Failing “She Make It Clap” Dance

The world is a better place when Soulja Boy has a hit song. The 30-year-old rapper has managed to remain culturally relevant for nearly the last fifteen years, influencing multiple generations of rappers in the way they approach social media. Big Draco was going viral before going viral was even introduced into our verbiage. He’s had memorable moments spanning his entire career, but some of those moments have had not much (if anything at all) to do with his music.

With the present success of “She Make It Clap,” the long-tenured rapper officially has his latest smash record, reaching #1 on Billboard’s Top Triller US chart. The song comes with a popular dance challenge, which is pretty simple to follow along. While it may never surpass the dance craze brought on by “Crank Dat,” it’s proven to be an extremely successful track for Soulja Boy. Everyone has been trying out the challenge, including radio hosts Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy, who filmed themselves royally failing the dance during a break from The Breakfast Club.

“Do the challenge they said…….it will be cute they said,” joked Charlamagne in his caption. “The moral of the story is DON’T Listen To The Kids Bro!!!!!” In the video, the two hosts go through the motions, awkwardly performing the moves before Charla knocks Envy off his pivot.

Soulja Boy found the video amusing, reacting with a laughing emoji and some prayer hands, seemingly thanking them for taking part. Despite him appreciating the gesture, others wish they never pressed play on the clip. “This hurt to watch,” wrote TDE rapper Reason in the comments. “Y’all both got on nasty fits,” said Wayno, roasting them both.

Mike Tyson Announces Lennox Lewis Fight In September

Since returning to boxing in November of 2020 to fight Roy Jones Jr, fans of Iron Mike Tyson have been itching to see him back in action, once again. Originally, Tyson was supposed to fight Evander Holyfield on May 29th, but the fight was canceled in March after reports said Tyson wanted too much money. With the Evander fight canceled, Tyson’s camp continued to look for an opponent and according to Mike, they’ve now found one.

“I’m gonna fight Lennox Lewis. September,” Tyson told a TMZ camerman as he entered his vehicle (video below).

Mike, 54 and Lewis, 55, last met in the squared circle in June of 2002, when Lewis defeated Tyson by KO with under a minute left in the 8th round. Before the fight, Tyson said he wanted Lennox’s heart and he wanted to “eat his children.”

In February, when a Twitter user asked Lewis if he was training for one more fight with Mike, he responded with “Do you really want me to dust these off?…”

Later in the month, Lewis also spoke with TMZ about the possibility of a rematch against Tyson. In the video, Lewis explained he didn’t know if the fight would happen, but would be open to making a deal happen if the public wanted the fight.

It looks like the public is in support of the fight and the two heavyweights will battle it out in the ring again. Lewis has been retired since 2003, but finished his career with a 41-2-1 record.

Do you think Tyson can get a victory against Lewis this time around? Let us know what you think below.

E-40 Opens Up About Early “Clubhouse” Investment

For many of hip-hop’s legendary figures, building an investment portfolio has become an integral piece of the puzzle. Long have we seen some of the game’s veterans shift into the business world, with Jay-Z, Nas, Kanye West, Diddy, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and many more expanding their net worth considerably through savvy money moves.

Yet one who doesn’t always get due credit in that regard is E-40, who recently opened up to Earn Your Leisure about his early investment in Clubhouse. “I’m in so many startups,” he begins. “It’s like a dice game. You rolling the dice, and that one company you think ain’t gon be the one, that you ain’t even stuntin’, can end up being the one that go for three, four, five, ten billion. You put your apples in that thing, and next thing you know you get that call, and it’s time to drink up that whole bar behind me.”

“Clubhouse is a good one,” continues Forty Water. “It’s a new platform, an ideal platform for people to just get some game…You had Elon Musk on there, you got real top hats and tycoons on that muthafucker, but then you have some people who just get on there and talk that shit like they know everything! But that’s all of them, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook. But Clubhouse is the new, it’s the platform man! There’s probably other companies trying to duplicate it, but has anyone duplicated Instagram yet?”

“Let me tell you something,” he continues, after being asked how Clubhouse landed on his radar those early days. “Somebody called me one day like ‘Forty, how do you have that contact for the Warriors? How do you get complimentary seats’ I’m like ‘I don’t know!’ I’m not getting complimentary seats, I pay for mine. But when I’m spending money on these seats, I’m promoting myself, you can’t get no better marketing. I’m courtside, me and my wife, having the time of my life…We running into everybody, billionaires, all kinds! Especially when you’re a good person like me. I hug everybody, kiss babies, shake hands.”

Check out some valuable game for E-40 below, and keep an eye out for his contributions on the upcoming Mt. Westmore project when that arrives this summer.

King Von’s Video For “Mine Too” Is Out Now

Chicago’s hip-hop scene hasn’t been the same since the untimely passing of King Von. Known for narrating tales from his O’Block neighborhood, the late 26-year-old was just starting to make a name for himself on a larger scale when he was gunned down in Atlanta. We’ve seen countless tributes to the rising star through the OTF collective, especially from his good friend Lil Durk.

Posthumously, King Von’s estate has been releasing new music, videos, and more for his fans to enjoy. His vocals were all over the recent Loyal Bros tape and we’re still seeing some videos from Welcome To O’Block come out. The latest track to get the music video treatment is “Mine Too,” showing Von with his O’Block brothers, showing love to his crew, and rapping his percussive bars to the camera. The Jerry Production video is the latest to arrive from the album that released merely one week before Von’s passing.

Watch the new music video for “Mine Too” above. Rest in peace, King Von.
